Drowning Pool

Alternative rock/metal band Drowning Pool rocked countless fans at the 2001 Ozzfest Tour, helping propel their debut album Sinner to platinum status in just six weeks. That good news shortly turned tragic following the death of lead singer Dave Williams, but the ever-resilient Drowning Pool has continued to sell tickets under a revolving list of singers, including Jason Jones (2003-2005), Ryan McCombs (2005-2011) and Jasen Moreno (2011-Present). The band is considered one of the best metal bands in concert and have played on multiple Ozzfest Tours. They released their fifth studio album, "Resilience," with new singer Moreno in 2013.

The entire show ROCKED, starting with Tantric and ending with Drowning Pool. Saving Abel has an amazing stage presence as well, and most of the bands came down into the general area and just hung out after their sets! Just AMAZING!

6 hours of music, very short set changes and bands came onto floor after to greet fans and usually kept coming back to floor several times. They all acted like they wanted to be there. Great night

Everything about this event was outstanding. I liked their lyrics, all of the screaming, the cosmopolitan group of people who are the group's hard core fans, the dancing, etc. Bring 'em back soon, please. My favorite moment: There was a large body-builder guy standing next to me during the performance who had a big walking stick. The only thing he said/yelled repeatedly, while pounding his stick on the floor, was "I am Horny Man." All of the young ladies loved him.

I saw Drowning Pool in perform at Wasted Space at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas. It is a small venue with standing room only. Tickets were less than $20.00 pp. Great music and they put on a rocking performance. Would love to see them again.

I drove 2hrs with a friend of mine to go see Drowning Pool down at Piere's! They were definately worth what I paid to see them!! At the very end they asked the crowd what we wanted to hear, (after they played bodies) CJ was playing different songs from Various artists, I screamed out Pantera, the rest of the crowd did, AND THEY PLAYED COWBOYS FROM HELL!!!!!! You guys are awesome! Thank you for reaching out to the crazy friends and family!!!!! You guys are definately about the fans! This was also my first time seeing them, long time fan, first time to see them and it was just unbelieveable. Thanks again You guys Rock!

Not much energy for the openers but when Drowning Pool the stage, that was it. Ended with emotion tribute to fallen singer Dave Williams and you could've guessed that it ended with a venue shaking finale with "Bodies"

Starland Ballroom is in the middle of nowhere but it's a nice venue. Clean, friendly, plenty of bathrooms and a full bar. Drowning Pool was awesome. They don't just play the songs, they put on a show. Lead singer Ryan McCombs really got the crowd going and everyone had a great time. There where enough people to get a good rowdy vibe going but everyone was playing nice. Had a great time and will defiantly see this band again. Also saw that some other good bands are playing there soon like Five Finger Death Punch.

A real rocking night, topped off with a really energetic show by Drowning Pool. Their setlist kept me interested winding through all the years of Drowning Pool's songs, and throwing in a few covers DP style. Overall a good night and cool venue that allowed for the intamacy between the fans and musicians that made it worthwile.

Like the venue.. Smallish, but large enough. We missed Static Cycle... TrustCompany was awesome. Very good set. Thought they should have played later in the lineup. Was not impressed with either Pop Evil or A New Revolution. Drowning Pool was awesome. Sound was great. I was able to get right to the stage. Close enough to hand the singer a Jaeger Bomb (which I did). I would go see them again

Great band, high energy show, Got to meet them, nice guys. I was impressed at how tight they are as a band, they really rocked the little Bluebird,The best was the impromptu encore, the cover of Cowboys from Hell, Rocked. Small show are often the best to get a personal feel for the music and the band. Rock on, Ant

The Make America Rock Again tour was very good. The headliner was Scott Stapp of Creed. He was pretty good with a little bit of energy.Sick Puppies and Trapt were also good, however Drowning Pool Stole The Show. They had energy and had the crowd into every song. They are much more then the band that plays the 'Bodies' song. I highly recommend seeing Drowning Pool if they come to your area.

I'm very disappointed in this show because I was told that 12 Stones would be there numerous times and they weren't even on the set once I arrived there. I drove 7 hours for this show and was highly outraged when I heard word. Also I paid for the eat and greet and they served us really bad pizza and not all of the bands even showed up for the eat and greet. If I could get my refund back, I would

Wasn't there for Crazytown simply because they were a one hit wonder. Got there for The Zealots - SO HAPPY THEY WERE ADDED TO THE ROSTER! They put on a great show! Alien Ant Farm - Eh, wasn't much of a big fan of them 10 years ago so can't say too much about them. Their stage performance was okay. Trapt - Didn't enjoy them either, spent most of that time out on the deck after 2 songs to eat some vendor food. Saliva - Best performers of the night! Sound was great! Drowning Pool - All Jason Moreno did was talk. Even at the end when he told what crowd was there that they were running out of time and we had to choose which song we wanted them to sing, he still kept talking. They still played the two songs anyways so again, dude talked way too much.

Great concert. It rocked. Couldn't believe how empty it was in the arena. My dislikes is I bought 12 tickets seats close to stage. But the ushers/security wouldn't allow us to go down to the floor pit part. Even though it was so empty. I'm sure the bands would like a bigger crowd. But oh well. The concert itself was very awesome. And the price was nice. Also the sound was kinda staticky towards end. Kids got to meet Crazytown lead singer. But we thought they sucked. The rapper couldn't understand at all. And I love all music

Disappointing shown. BorING stage. Saliva was really good UT the other banD's where terrible. Was looking foward to trapt but they aren't good live. Drowning pool was a let down. The lead singer doesn't rrally fit the roll.. One awesome part was a local band the zealots they where great and honestly held there own with the big name bands!

Make America Rock Again was a lot of fun. The tickets were priced well for the bands and the amount of time playing. It was very long though for it not to be a festival. It was about 6 hours long. My husband and I ended up leaving early because of being too tired.

We had a blast. It wasn't too crowded, and the bands were amazing. It was so much fun reliving my musical past and seeing how great the bands were to the fans. Although the bathroom situation is rough at Chene, the view was beautiful and all of the staff were wonderful. Would happily relive this experience!

Had a great time. Awesome show. I was surprised the turnout was so low. This seemed like an amazing group of bands. I remember listening to most of them in the early 2000s in highschool. Saliva and Drowning Pool really kicked ass. The venue was great too. Decent price for drinks.

Small, very disappointing crowd. Security was non-existent except for one person who apparently did not have permission to toss the drunks that spoiled the Drowning Pool set. On the other hand, everyone up to Drowning Pool were fantastic and got the energy going. Full Devil Jacket set was cut short, which was a damn shame as they ROCKED!!! Drowning Pool had a much more difficult time getting the small crowd into it. I'm glad I went but The County Line had better step up their game.

Drowning Pool brought it. I'm normally not a fan of replaced members, but Jason does really well giving the DP songs justice. CJ was really cool hanging out at the merch booth, very approachable and down to earth.Great set list, lots of new stuff. Love how the drummer interacts with the crowd too. The crowd itself sucked but I heard that Dave Matthews was in town too so maybe thats why it was a smaller crowd.

The concert as a whole was incredible right from the start. "Symphony of Malice" was a huge surprise. I never heard of them and they came out with some intense guitar riffs that started the concert off great. "Even The Dead Love a Parade" kept the intensity going with their deep bass sounds and vocal sound. The biggest amazement that I had out of the entire concert was "Exilia" . There "Korn" like bass and guitar tones accompanied by the "Flyleaf" like vocals of their lead vocalist blew me away. Halfway thru their set they took me from not knowing who they were to die hard fan. "Eye Empire" brought us to our much anticipated headliner with a sound that made me think i wasnt gonna have enough strength in my neck to head-bang thru the "Drowning Pool" Set. The best part of "Eye Empire" was the vocalist and his connection he made to the audience. At the end of the set he came down and shook the hand of everyone in the first 3 rows of people. Finally "Drowning Pool" came on to the stage. I was skeptical of them having a new vocalist with the band but that was immediately put to rest with the start of them playing "Step up" He brought back a sound that I honestly missed from "Drowning Pool" The old vocalist was good but he put a kinda twang on the sound to make it sound more of a "Nickel Back" kinda sound, not that they aren't good, it just wasn't "Drowning Pool" Jasen Moreno has brought it back. He crush the old songs as well as the new ones off their "Resilience" album. He connected with the crowd and went over to individuals telling to put their hands up to really experience the music and let go. Finally "Bodies" came on and Jasen had the entire crowd start the song then out of complete surprise all of the vocalists from the other bands came out and sang the song with them which was absolutely unexpected and incredible.

I have seen Drowning Pool several times with the original singer and with two others over the last 10 years. They have a tight group now and I think the new singer Jasen Moreno sounds great and the show was very good when I saw them 3/1/13 in NJ. I brought my son with me and he spent time talking with CJ and Jasen after the show and they signed autographs and were very accessible. I really like the new CD and hopefully it will get the air time that it deserves.

So i've been a fan of previous singer Ryan McComb's since he was in Soil but found out the hard way he went back...like last year! but thats awesome but wth... would not have know that since the band photo still features him when I looked up the show in Sioux Falls 8-4-12 and bought tickets misleadingly going to hear McComb and its some imcomparable dude instead!! sorry dude(new singer)...u have more talent than me but not the same as Ryan and Dave. @ least Deuce was incredible and Filter rocked! Sioux Falls area sure looked lame with the poor attendance though.... lmao

The sound was off, they must have been having audio problems. not the bands fault, i know this. i was not pleased with the length of time it took for each band to finally get on stage. i didn't even get to see drowning pool, because i waited over a half hour from the time Popevil played and drowning pool still hadn't come out. I'm not sure if it was band error or piere's error to get ppl to drink more, but it was ridiculious.

I was blown away by how loud and hard Drowning Pool rocked out. Awesome in a smaller venue like 8 Seconds Saloon. The only bad thing about the show is that it had to end. The supporting bands were very good also Pop Evil rocked it out pretty hard and was a great set up band for Drowning Pool. If they ever come back I'll definately be there.

all the bands rocked, but the lead singer..Leigh?.. from Pop Evil really took it over the top and made it unforgettable! He sang the last song standing on the bar at Piere's in the middle of the room/crowd, then shared his bottle pouring drinks for fans, posing for photos, shaking hands, hugging people. At the end of Drowning Pools set, on their last song "Let the bodies hit the floor", all of the bands were on stage singing together, that was so memorable. After the show was over and everyone was leaving I stopped to buy a Pop Evil T-shirt and there was the lead singer from Pop Evil helping to sell and talking to fans. I had never seen any of the bands before, but I am now a fan and look forward to seeing them again, especially Pop Evil.

I've seen Drowning Pool several times, at this venue and others. They always play hard and bring their best. The only reason I didn't give this show five stars is because of the venue, 8 Seconds Saloon. They jam so many bands into the evening that you end up sitting around for half the night waiting for the headliner. This show included one local band, Spanky's Clubhouse, that you can see in town any weekend, a newer band I wasn't familiar with, Static something or other, Trust Company, Anew Revolution and Pop Evil. I'm not opposed to getting value for my dollar, but 5 opening bands is a bit much. Drowning Pool didn't take the stage until after 11:30 p.m. Just because we like to rock hard, doesn't mean we don't have day jobs.
