I saw this with a friend and thought it was entertaining, but it's especially more interesting and fun for little kids. There are men doing tricks and flips, but there are also animals like cats, dogs, rats, geese, etc. performing on stage as well. It's a silly production that's very light-hearted and fun to watch.

Greg Popovich has done wonderful things by rescuing all of these animals. His talent along with the talent of his performers (human & furry) is fabulous! I admire what he does and wished I had stayed longer after the show to ask him questions. Great show for kids AND adults!

Show was good. Expected a little more. The cats and dogs were absolutely adorable! I hope that the animals are well taken care of. Thank you to Popovich for his animal rescue efforts!

Great time!!! The kids and wife really enjoyed it. I would recommend the show to anyone. I also liked how the Keswick had reasonably priced snacks for the kids.

Very sweet, really enjoyed it. Have wanted to see this for years, was not disappointed. Hard to understand the live voices but since the show is mostly visual, not too bad a problem. Would have liked to see a short video on how he finds and chooses the animals, how he figures out their talents, how he trains. It wd be interesting to see the progression with 1 animal from selection thru training to its first live show.

Was not sure what to expect and was really suprised by the performers. Both animal and human. Laughted out loud and was amazed at how anyone could get a cat to do anything. You could tell that the people in the group really did love the animals. Even off stage the doggies had wagging tails. Everyone in the audience was having a great time. Always fun to hear children laughing. Tell them that they bring out the best in the animals. I wish we could have gotten to see them closer after the show.

Everything about this show was wonderful, especially if you are a dog or a cat lover. All of the animals performing are rescued. (You don't don't have to be an animal lover to enjoy the show). Upbeat, creative, great music! Fun for any age. Go and see it!

This was a wonderful experience. I loved sharing the experience with families and lots of children. This show was a childhood fantasy I have never let go of......seeing my pets do circus tricks. I managed a few simple things....my dog climbed ladders and one cat liked to dance and wear costumes......so Popovich's Pet Theater was so satisfying. I enjoyed it with the same enthusiasm as the children. Loved every minute. The Welsh terrier in the show even looked much like the dog I had as a child. Amazing show. Only one small suggestion.....please tell the ladies who sell the merchandise in the lobby during intermission to smile and interact in a positive way with the public. They were so somber and looked even a bit disagreeable....and didn't do much to muster sales. By and large the people attending these shows are animal lovers who are by their nature sweet and loving and sensitive......a smile goes a long way.

To clarify my rating: I'd give it a 3.5 if I could, but I can't, so I'm rounding up. And that 3.5 is for people with kids. For people without kids it would probably be a 1, but really I can't imagine that you'd even be considering this event if you didn't have time to kill with the small people in your life on a weekend afternoon. With these qualifiers in mind, I'd say the Popovich Comedy Pet Theater is pretty darn good in a non-standard kind of way. First of all, it's not just about pets. In fact, I'd say it's not even mainly about pets. At least half the show is Mr. Popovich and a pack of young acrobats acting out old-school comedy skits. Then there is a pet segment. Then juggling. Then more pet tricks. Then flipping and handstands. Then more pets. The props have a very home-made and kind of old feel to them, and the pet tricks are not all that amazing, but the animals are cute, and for your kids that will probably be enough. Plus it's pretty fast-paced (good for short attention spans), and the acrobats are very talented. Go early, let the kids run around in the big grassy area outside the theater beforehand, see the show, then go to dinner in Westwood after. Perfect way to spend a Saturday. Oh, and spring for the good seats--they're cheap and it's nice to be close to the action.

took my 8 yr old granddaughter and her friend after getting the tickets FoR her birthday. they both enjoyed it thoroughly.....laughed out loud many times. It was amazing to see so many cats on stage at once staying on their perches. the cat that walked with it's front paws only across a bar was incredible! popovich is an amazing juggler as well. very entertaining.

Having just returned from Vegas where we saw Cirque De Soleil, I was not expecting much out of the Popovich Pet Theater. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised! The cats and dogs doing tricks were fantastic (and I love that they are all rescues), but I did not expect there to be acrobatics, dance, and comedy, and that they would be so entertaining. The real star is the tireless and hilarious leader of the troupe, whose enthusiasm and humor is infectious. I strongly recommend getting seats as close to the front as possible, as the show is that much more impressive with a close vantage point.

I loved it! The tricks are very adorable, and it is hard to believe that cats in particular can be trained to do these tricks. It is also incredibly touching; this is a man who understands, and loves, animals. I really related to him and his troupe of people and other animals! We also bought his book "you can train your cat" and found it to be a warm and personal book with cat training tips.

This show has gone from a level of good quality where the animals ruled the stage to a poorly produced waste of patrons time. 1. Popovich now has 75% of show on strange skits that go nowhere and are boring 2. 15% are set aside for "his Jumping Boys" guys dressed as jesters that jump around doing things any school yard child can do with 3 days of training 3. 5% to a quick change artist that is okay but obviously seen better days 4. 5% to animals that are definetley not ready for prime time and thus the 2:30 pm showtime explains alot We came to see the dogs and cats that were once the rulers of this show. Now it is Popovich Juggling a hat and whistling and doing things I think I could do with a spare afternoon of practice. Lastly, the V theatre is an abomination...my seat and my sons were broken leaning forward and we paid an extra 10 bucks for front row seats. But guess what...at the door a shill will get someone placed in front of you to obstruct your view and now you are in the second or third row...but hey grease him with a 20 spot and you get placed in front of the other poor sap that was originally in front of you....we spent 35 bucks for VIP seats for a total of 135 dollars. What a waste...We spent 60 dollars more a ticket and saw a Cirque Du Soleil Show Mystere' and loved it...so my advice is to spend a few more bucks for a much better experience...Popovich and his Jumping boys should be ashamed for the poorly produced and executed slop they are serving up on broken plates at the PH V Theatre....if you do drop the 35 bucks dont worry you wont be alone....Popovich is dropping most of the stuff he juggles all show long....

My three-year-old son was so excited he spent most of the show bouncing up and down in his seat and giggling uncontrollably. His attention never wavered. When we got home, he set up his stuffed doggies in the school set-up that we saw in the show and pretended they were doing tricks, I enjoyed the frame story of Popovich missing his train, joining the circus, having adventures, then returning to his real life.

Based on reviews and video from the Vegas show I thought my kids would like this. They're 15, 13 and 10 and were easily the oldest kids anywhere near us. Most if the kids there were Wiggles aged kids. I was expecting a more exciting acrobatic performance. This show was very simple. I realize there are limitations because of the venue's stage size and configuration. The best part for me was learning that all the animals in the show were rescues. I would recommend this show if you are taking young kids, say up to 6 years old. After that I think it's boring for them.

Professional level of these performers is extremely low. I don't think I have ever paid money for something of such low quality. Animals are poorly trained and tend not to do what performer is expecting from them. Performers would drop things while juggling, step on the rope when jumping over the rope and failed their tricks in other ways. During the show they failed around 15-20 times. My backpack was searched on entrance, which is ok in our time for safety reasons. However, I was requested to leave my ipad in the car, because "it has camera". After watching the show I realized why Popovich Comedy Pet Theater does not want to be filmed on stage.

My grandchildren totally loved all of the pet tricks, but lost interest very quickly with the juggling and acrobatics. Although the acrobatics and juggling were impressive, it does not keep the interest of young children, which seems to be the focus group of the show. You could see the difference in the response of the audience when the pets performed versus the juggling and acrobatics. My grandchildren giggled during the entire pet performance, but my five-year old grandson would say, "Are they done yet?" when the juggling and acrobatics were on the stage. My nine year old granddaughter felt the same way.

We took our daughter to the Popovich Pet Theater for her birthday. We expected it to be a great show, and it exceeded our expectations! The animals were well trained and well behaved, and it was very evident that they are well loved. Popovich is a master of his trade and he does a great act of juggling, balancing, etc. without of the pets. It was great how happy the animals looked at all times. The show was geared toward adults and children alike. It was very engaging and fun for us all. We had the chance to meet Popovich after the show and he was quite gracious.

This show brought the European style of live entertainment right into the intimacy of our once movie theater. Amazingly trained dogs and cats and you name it, all choreographed to be constantly entering and exiting, constantly entertaining and suprising the audience. Everyone seemed delighted with the humor, slapstick, tumbling, juggling, stage props - and most of all, those wonderfully show trained pets who never missed a beat. Hoorary for Popovich and company, and thanks for freeing us from our video games - at least for this moment.

I'm a 27 y/o guy and I took my girlfriend to the show and she absolutely loved it. I think the show is perfect for kids 4-10 or animal lovers. There is no dialogue, nor is there really any story line, but the juggling, acrobats, and pet tricks were very entertaining. If you're a big fan of dogs & cats, or have young children I think this show is a great event! If not, you should probably pass on this event. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because Popovich and his crew messed up on some of their juggling/acrobatics and because the people around us were obnoxious (getting up in and out and talking throughout the performance). Overall- good show.

My dog could do more tricks than his, although love that he gave all those animals a second chance. he's really a cat person. love the fact that all of these animals were rescues, soo cool. geared toward kids but i enjoyed it because of the way the animals apeared to be coaxed into performing not forced like the circus. keswick theater needs some serious work done internaly, seats to cramped and paint falling off walls and ceiling, not to mention the need for about four more bathroomsn which would be three more than they have now, very long wait especially for women, just not good for money you spend.

Fun day out for the kids. Mixture of pets..comedy skits..acrobatics and juggling. Dont go expecting amazing pet tricks but a nice time out. My only real complaint was they made us sit through a 20 minute intermission so they could sell concessions only to return for the second half of the show that felt like it lasted only 15 minutes. We took our 21 month old daughter to see the show because she loves animals. But to our amazement she even enjoyed Mr Popovich and his team when not performing with the animals. His show was very refreshing to see compared to all the theatrics that everyone expects these days. He does real juggling and balancing acts while adding that bit of comedy the kids really understand. To top it all, his animals are rescues. Thats amazing in itself and to see how they accepted training for the acts they perform.

Based upon title, one would expect the animals to be somewhat central to this show. Nope! Sure, they stuffed them into a toy train. Sure, he pretended the cats were lions. And yes, he had a cat who randomly ran across stage. If that is the definition of pet comedy, I clearly am reading the wrong dictionary. There was nothing comedic to be found. Popovich s juggling was sophomoric, never performing any of his attempts without dropping something. Can I juggle? No. Would I drop things if I tried? Yes. But I m not charging you a pretty penny to watch my unsuccessful efforts. We went to this show for our children. It s pretty easy to make them laugh, and they love animals. We thought we d have a hit for sure! Sadly, they were nearly as bored as we were, though we did ooh and ahh, hoping for a contagion effect. Bottom line is that this was an overpriced, drawn out, poorly executed show that we would not recommend to others.

Way over priced. Very silly with lots of circus type tricks with no animals in sight for at least 10. There were long stretches of time where all that was going on was a bunch of silly clown circus type jokes and no animals. Our family was really disappointed with the quality of this show. The set and program was very tired. The costumes and equipment seemed worn and grungy. I had traveled to Las Vegas every year for over a decade and had always wanted to see his show. Sadly, I never could fit it in with everything else going on while I was there. When I saw he was playing in Rochester I couldn't wait to get tickets. The show was profoundly worth the wait. While I had regretted even more not seeing him sooner, there was a special magic in the air when he played in our local and beautiful Auditorium Theater. Not a moment in the act was without fun and amazement at the human and animal feats. A wonderful balance of humor, magic, and heart warming moments knowing he has saved so many animals. His accompaniment was also stellar in their showmanship and demonstrations of acrobatics. Hope to see them again some day!

I wish there had been more advertising as the theater had many empty seats and so many missed out on a very entertaining evening. Perhaps an afternoon show on a weekend would have made a difference. I believe 7:30pm is late for children even on Spring break. The show was amazing not just for kids but adults too. There were so many varieties of juggling, acrobatics and amusing props. Of course the animals stole the show! Mr. Popovich is to be commended for rescuing animals that have been left to survive on their own, giving them a home and training that brings out each animals hidden talents. My grandchildren were so excited to tell their parents of all the things they saw. As an adult I was just as thrilled with the comedy and daredevil stunts of Mr. Popvich and his company. Part of the proceeds from the show went to the Humane Society.

It was more theatrical and circus-like than I thought it was going to be. I assume these guys spoke Russian (PS- not a single woman in the cast), but being in the front row, it sounded more like Spanish. It was very hard to understand what they were saying so in a way, I guess the theatrics helped. lol The cats were impressively trained (some better than the dogs) and the variety of animals was very surprising. The ending seemed very abrupt..everyone was confused. This may have been because the giant parrot detoured to the top balcony, into the crowd instead of where they wanted him to go. I would go only again if someone gave me free tickets. It was a great experience I had with my nieces, though. The kids had a good time. I've seen better well-trained dogs at the fair but overall it was enjoyable.

Overall this was enjoyable, but not the most entertaining show in the world. It is a mix of a bit of acrobatics, theater and animal tricks. The animal tricks were very good. Being able to train dogs, cats and birds is not an easy feat and some of the tricks were very amazing to see. The show lasted about an hour, which fits if your intended audience is children. The sound system was not very good and the audio was quite hard to understand. I am not sure why they need prerecorded parts, when the actor is right on stage and could say the lines. If you are really interested in seeing what can be done, in terms of animal training, this is a great show to see.

Went to show because wife had fond memories of show from her childhood.. She saw weaknesses but still enjoyed seeing the show and memories it evoked. I enjoyed it but would not want to see it again. Going with children would probably be a better experience. OK but not great.

It was more focused on Popovich and his acrobats than the animals. I was disappointed that I paid for a VIP ticket and the meet and greet had a bird and not any of the dogs or cats and Popovich. If it is a pet theater it should be more about the pets than himself. I gave it 2 stars because all of the pets were RESCUES which I applaud Popovich for. Rescue, Rescue Rescue.

The animals were a very small part of the overall show. Most of the show was devoted to juggling and acrobatics. The sets and costumes were pretty tired looking. Video clips were inserted at odd times during the performance, and were dated and of poor quality. Definitely not worth the money.

This was a very old-fashioned show, that young kids might enjoy, but probably not anyone older than about 6 years old. It was cheesy rather than comedic. Even the sidekicks really looked like they didn't want to be there. I could tell that the juggler was skilled, but it still didn't really entertain me. We really came for the pets, but they were strangely dressed, and the skits that included the pets were stilted and not particularly well-done. All the work with the pets was done on the stage floor, so nobody could see what was going on. There were several unexplained long pauses in the show, where it seemed something was wrong, but we didn't know what. Bottom line, I do not feel that I got my money's worth, and to be honest, I didn't even feel that it was worth my time.

The show was excellent. My kids really enjoyed it. Everyone who played was awesome, especially all the animals. Mr Popovich does an amazing job training them. He is very kind and cute. The only thing I wished it was a little longer. The show reminded me of my childhood and russian circus.

Attended the Popovich Comedy Pet Theater at Bergen PAC with my son and granddaughter. All three generations agreed it was a great show.

My 3 year old daughter LOVED the show. The pets were adorable and I was happy to see avian friends as well as furry ones. We purchased Orchestra Row 1 (first two seats off aisle) keep in mind this is still about 5 rows from the stage. I was lucky enough to have another mother offer me one of her seats in the 2nd row from stage (her child was on her lap as was mine) Once up there my 3 year old could see the animals perfectly. Therefore, keep in mind the animals are only about a foot or two off the stage so you may want balcony or front row for your little ones to see all the animals. My daughters favorite part of the show? The clowns!! She loved them. Although a bit hokey at times (if you go to Disney it's like the street performers outside Pete's Silly Side Show.) but she loved them!! When provoked she continued to say they were her favorite part of the show. The children next to us (the mom who offered us her seat) were about 6 or 7 if I had to guess. They too were really enjoying it. It's a great show for something fun to do with the kids. And the fact that all those animals are rescued makes the money you spend well worth it.
