Fleetwood Mac

FLEETWOOD MAC IN CONCERT:The Rumours are true: Fleetwood Mac will be joined by Christine McVie for their 2014 world tour, and the band is just as excited about it as their fans. McVie left the band for personal reasons back in 1998, making the Mac's subsequent touring somewhat of a bittersweet experience for concertgoers. Bittersweet no more, however — fans lucky enough to score a ticket to Fleetwood Mac's 2014 On With the Show tour will get to experience McVie classics like "Everywhere" and "Little Lies" alongside Fleetwood Mac staples like "Dreams" and "Rhiannon," marking the first time in nearly 20 years the band's classic lineup has toured together.BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:Legendary British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac was formed in 1967 by Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood.

After being away for so many years, Fleetwood Mac still has the ability to set aside their differences and put on an awesome show. Their voices still blend as magically as ever. They still rock!

Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nix, Christine, the guys were amazing! They didn't have an opening act--they played from 8-10:30pm. The lead guitarist never took a break--what an incredibly talented man!! They put on a great show!

The concert was amazing. Fleetwood Mac is one of my favorite bands and I'm glad I got the chance to see the 5 of them together. Even after forty years, they still got it!

He is amazing. He is mega talented. He is intense. He is fun. He is mega talented. He is amazing. Very good show Soundied pretty good in the dome. It was my 2nd concert there. It would be good to see them at an outside venue, and not have seats on the side of the stage.

A 8:05 PM there was a loud screeching noise that lasted until Fleetwood Mac came on stage 25 minutes of terrible loud noise!. ( a half-hour late) . Stevie Nix's voice is shot! Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood carried the show! Avoid theTacoma Dome if you can it is always a terrible experience. Beginning with the rip-off parking charge!

I was constantly saying to myself -- I can't believe I'm watching Fleetwood Mac, as I'm sure the band was saying, I can't believe we're rocking the Staples Center. I mean, we all know the Behind the Music. It's a miracle they're still standing. So I guess you could say I wasn't expecting a high energy performance. Not true. I guess the 'rock years' were easy on them. Lindsey Buckingham shoulders the most weight, but handles it well. He hasn't lost a note on the guitar. Stevie is on her game as well. I think I got the most out watching John and Mick carrying the rhythm.

It was a great concert but the sound quality was not good. You could not understand the artists when they were speaking and even when singing the music way overpowered the vocals. I would have like to heard the vocals better. Should have put in the work at sound check with some people in the seats for feedback.

Christine McVie has returned to this fantastic group again called Fleetwood Mac. This is my 45th time seeing Stevie Nicks either solo or within Fleetwood Mac and I was totally floored at the enthusiasm that this group still has. The show started at 8.15 pm and ran until 11.00 pm. They rocked for almost a good 3 hours and took us on a musical journey back to the 70's and 80's when music used to be great back then. Christine has been absent from the group for a good 16 years due to her fear of flying, but that is all conquered now and like the say.. THE MAC IS BACK...

I couldn't believe how great they sounded. For over two and a half hours, I was glued to my spot. It was obvious that there was so much emotion on the stage, and it was felt by the audience. After 40 years of such turmoil, to see the whole band together and having so much fun TOGETHER, was amazing. I hope they 'don't stop'. Seeing them had been on my bucket list for decades. I think seeing them again will be on my list.

What a great show highlighting all the talents of the entire band. The back drops added to each song and was critical for the Tusk rendition including the USC marching band. It was great to see the ENTIRE band reunite in Frisco with the addition of Christine. Great concert!

I know I sound a tad dramatic, but this was truly an amazing experience. The visuals were trippy and fascinating. And the band still sounds great! Stevie is a beautiful stage pixie. Lindsey kills it on the guitar. Fleetwood is a fabulous wackadoodle drummer. John is calm and cool. And Christine is back and wonderful as ever! An absolutely MUST see!!!

The group is all together once again, hatchets seemed buried and the music is great. Buckingham takes center stage with some amazing guitar; all the members get a chance to shine. The songs from the Rumours album were the ones I loved. Amazing to think FM was the warm-up band for Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Santana...back in the late 1960s! Such a special chance to go down memory lane and enjoy their music once again. They played from around 8:30 to 10:30 pm, really gave the fans a great concert!

The music itself could have tighter. There were times when they launched into a hit song, but I didn't recognize it til it reached the chorus. Stevie Nicks had obvious back pain, keeping her from her majestic swirling I witnesses in the 80s at the US Festival - When Lindsey Buckingham almost hit her in the face with his guitar. Too many obscure songs.

This was my 91'st concert. I have seen everyone from the Jackson 5 in the mid 70 to YO-YO Ma in January of 2015. The MAC is indeed back. Each member was animated and presented their wares with the style of only which a GREAT band could. My seat was 10 rows of the floor slightly to the left of the stage. Life is good. I am looking forward to Gladys Knight in Biloxi in May and , Dave Matthews Band in West Palm in July later this year. I plan to see Coldplay for the 6th time in Paris the next time they play there. OK, Concerts are kind of my thing, Jimi that is:-)

Great show as expected. My wife and I saw the Rumours Tour in the 70s but my daughters had never seen the show. We were too late to purchase good seats, but somehow my younger daughter worked out a swap with the venue where we wound up with side stage tics. Just a great show and experience.

Monday night s On With the Show performance was fabulous, and had everything we expected from Fleetwood Mac, starting with Mac setting the groove in the opening song The Chain , the sound of a songbird Christine McVie, vintage voice of Stevie Nicks, guitar mastery by Lindsey Buckingham, a video kaleidoscope of the USC Marching Band during Tusk, and a thunderous drum solo by Mick Fleetwood! The river goes on and on . . .

Attended the Fleetwood Mac concert at JPJ and they can still bring down the house! Opened with The Chain and following a ten minute drum solo by Mick Fleetwood closed with with Don't Stop. Lindsey Buckingham showed why he is a legendary guitarist! Christy's return to the band made the concert complete. What can you say about Stevie Nicks, but WOW!

The talented Fleetwood Mac performed brilliantly to an appreciative audience. Friends and acquaintances that were present clearly were attached to the band as a group and to each individual artist. It was a gifted evening complete with Christine McVie who returned to the band in great form. They played many of their greatest hits. Lindsey Buckingham was on the stage with nary a break for nearly 3 hours. Its been said he is in the top 100 best guitarists. That should be revised to the top 10. Stevie Nicks with her dreamy poetic songs and unique voice was wonderful. John McVie rarely moved from a 5 foot spot, perfectly supplying what Mick Fleetwood called the backbone of the band. Mick for his part was the very rhythmic heartbeat. Full of incredible energy and spirited interplay with the fans. The band reached out to the fans as though they were family and likewise the fans reached back.

Awesome performance. The band came to play, not phone it in. But, the bright light behind the drum set made viewing the stage very tiresome and actually triggered one woman's migraines. Almost impossible to see Mick Fleetwood due to the bright light behind him. As usual at JPJ, almost every seat is good, but they try to put too much sound to loudly through the speakers and there was a lot of distortion. Very hard to clearly hear many of the lyrics, but I think that is the sound system issue, not the actual vocalizations. The bright light issue is shown in the photo.

Fleetwood Mac has to be one of the best concerts I've ever seen and I've been to too many to mention. They played for close to 31/2 hours straight through with 2 encores. Now with Christine McVey back the iconic band is whole again. Everyone still has the pipes looks great and has the unbelievable energy that' makes Fleetwood Mac one of the all time greats and the magic they produce is truly one of a kind that will never be repeated. I think they are better now than back in the day...Playing all their great songs together, then each doing a solo and sharing a few stories you could really feel the love of the band and I feel blessed to have been a part of it! The light show was unexplainable perfect too. Thanks to each orginal member of Fleetwood Mac for giving me such an unforgettable magical night! :) Simply the best of the best!! Fleetwood Mac was quite possibly one of the best shows I've seen in a really long time. Throughout my life I have always been a huge fan & it was amazing to be able to hear those same songs live. The band made the show so personal like it was just me & my friend in the room. It is the only concert where at the end of the show my friend & I just sat there finishing our beers not racing out of the venue just taking it all in. It was as though there was an energy in the room that lingered and we weren't ready to leave yet. Going through some rough times in my life I felt the band was speaking to me through every song. I shed tears during Landslide & felt completely renewed after this show! A must see!!!!!

This band still matters and has incredibly maintained a level of performance to match star power with their age. The band still sounds terrific and the vocals are still very good. Christine McVie is close to returning to her old form, but Stevie Nicks has kept her voice strong and carries the vocal star power. Lyndsay still sings well but shows some wear for the type of singing he does especially on songs like Big Love. Drums, Bass, Guitar and backing vocals are excellent. Boardwalk Hall side seating in sections 101 and 125 and anything up and back should not even be seats that are sold. I moved after the first 3 songs so that I could hear the concert properly. The stage front should be moved back or higher prices for tickets in order for everyone in the venue to have a proper chance of really hearing the music. Recommend this group to be seen.

Every minute of the nearly three-hour long Fleetwood Mac concert Saturday night in Atlantic City was spectacular! The venue, Boardwalk Hall, built in the early 1900s, was a poignant backdrop for this enduring band. The three-part harmonies of Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, and Christine McVie along with the solid rhythm section of Mick Fleetwood and John McVie, are the magic behind the musical magnificence that is Fleetwood Mac. The band is truly on fire, fanned by the flames of Christine McVie's return after a much-too-long hiatus. Passion, love, loss, forgiveness, acceptance, and joy emanated from the stage like white winged doves via songs written by some of the most prolific and talented songwriters in the vast world of rock and roll. If you get the chance to see Fleetwood Mac on this tour, don't miss it. They are a musical dynasty of epic proportions.

For a band full of Social Security-eligible members, Fleetwood Mac put on a great show, full of their "standards" and few one-offs. While the lyrics may have been altered on one or two songs, and the ranges brought down a half-octave or so for Stevie & Christine, overall they were tight. Lindsay Buckingham was, by far, the most energetic of the band members, offering several solos, but Mick Fleetwood didn't miss a beat on percussion. Christine held her own on keyboard, and her velvety & Stevie's raspy vocals still are stirring and compliment each other well. In all, the main performance lasted 1h55m (no intermission), and their encores another 15 minutes. The downside was the venue - Boardwalk Hall has terrible acoustics, and limited ways of getting in, out and around the seating areas & concessions. The crowding was worst at the gates - one main entrance - where we were herded like cattle into bag checks & turnstiles from many doorways. Thankfully, it was a "baby boomer" crowd, by & large, so the choke-points didn't turn into pushing matches. Once in the seats, projection screens were partially obscured by sound speakers suspended from the ceiling. And, most annoying, people were moving up & down the aisle to our stage-side constantly (unless, of course, they were so winded they decided to stop mid-way and obstruct our view further.) I wouldn't sit in these seats again.

Several firsts for me...seeing Fleetwood Mac & attending a concert at Boardwalk Hall. Both were worth the wait & the cost. Fleetwood Mac were amazing and the smaller venue was a perfect size to see them. Everyone working there was very nice and helpful. I went with 4 friends to celebrate my birthday & we had a row to ourselves! Drinks were pricey - $10 for a draft beer is a little ridiculous. Otherwise, it was a memorable evening.

My second time seeing them, would love to go again while they are still in the NY area!!. The band is awesome, everyone sounds great. Lindsey is incredible. The show could NOT go on without him. Stevie is magical when she's doing her thing, such as in Gold Dust woman. I always leave a concert having a "new" favorite song. Tusk, I'm so Afraid, Big Love are some of their songs that just sound amazing live. And Christine sounds beautiful, ending the show with Songbird.

The first part of the show was amazing and was appearing to be an unforgettable night until mic fleetwood got sick. It happened, nobody had control over that. What fleetwood did have control over was to continue the concert. The show began 20 minutes late and was over in 1 hour and 25 minutes. The drum tech filled in for a song and was amazing. I believe the band could of continued and put on an amazing show however they chose to stop leaving a lot of fans out a lot of money for half a show. Stevie nicks announced they would be back and give 1 1/2 shows. I doubt that will actually happen and if it does, I'm sure it would be at full price. Things definitely would be made right if there was some discount or money refunded but I highly doubt that will happen. So what could have continued and would have been a 5 star show ended with let down and disappointed!

The concert was better and better as the night went on. Each of the band members put their own touch to the music and it felt great. The music reached back to early Fleetwood Mac and it was awesome to soak in the great sound and energy and passion they have for their music. ( I am the only fan that wishes they would re-visit the sounds of their Bare Trees album of the 70's!) Judging by the age of the crowd at the concert they would know what I am talking about. This was a concert worth attending. Enjoy! God speed Fleetwood Mac.

this show is a must see. 3 hours of pure entertainment and I would go see them again in a heartbeat. The sound was so crisp and clear and rocked the house. I loved that there were personal stories about the songs, a dedication of Landslide to "Prince" from Stevie.... the whole thing was GREAT!!

The performance was great, lots of energy and drive, good songs, wonderful vocals. The experience was spoiled by the couple in front of me who stood and danced at their seats for the entire show. Also the other spectators constantly getting up and leaving their seats - some of them many times.

I've seen Fleetwood about 6 times. This was the best concert yet. They played for about 3 hours and they played all their greatest hits plus some lesser known but great songs. Lindsey is amazing, Stevie continues to amaze, Mick was Mick which is hilarious and fun. Christine is back and sang her hits, and as usual, we never heard a word form John. There was soooo much more dialogue than ever before. They never seem to amaze!

An amazing show. It was great that Christine McVie was back with the band. It gave it the sound of the Fleetwood Mac that we all know. Fantastic!

The sound in the auditorium was really good. They didn't take a break, and played until 11 PM! Every song they sang was awesome! I liked it also that the band members would give a little trivia regarding their history and not just play and not relate to the audience like some other bands. All of their voices sounded great! I would definitely go see them again if I had the chance.

This was a mixed bag. I did enjoy the concert, yet there were enough drawbacks that I regretted paying nearly $200 for a nose-bleed seat in this arena. Yes, Christine McVie is back with the band, making them whole again, though let's be honest; Christine is now 71 years old. Age is a factor, especially for the vocal range of singers. This was true for Stevie Nicks as well, who didn't even bother trying to reach beyond perhaps one and a half octaves; the high vocal notes of those Fleetwood Mac songs we all know and love simply were not sung. Whereas Ms. McVie did venture into some higher octaves, perhaps the hearing affected her and the precision of pitch just wasn't there. On a positive note, some of their harmonies were still pleasant enough with the help of three youthful backup singers to bolster the group. On another positive note, Lindsey Buckingham can still do exceptionally well on a variety of stringed instruments, though he was almost too enthusiastic. At times when he would finish a long flourishing riff at the end of a song (endings that were sometimes drawn out excruciatingly long), you were almost afraid he was going to have a cardiac event. Then he would bow and hang his guitar over his shoulder as though he had just accomplished the most amazing musical demonstration in the history of mankind. Next was Mic Fleetwood; definitely can still bang away at a drum kit extremely well, but I have to say no matter how much I love a band, I just don't believe a drum solo is ever a good idea. Mic and Lindsey and Stevie all seemed just a tad too pleased with themselves after what turned out to be a mediocre performance; again, mostly due to the poor vocals. If you absolutely love this band, you will at least be rewarded with them hitting all of the best songs, but again back to the age thing; there comes a time at a certain age when it might be time to consider hanging it up...

Maybe I'm just waxing sentimental. The last time I saw the original American lineup was 1982. In a very dysfunctional place - still great, but the drama was high. This Fleetwood Mac was also great. But in seemingly such a comfortable place. The baggage they previously carried has been put down. The contents emptied and fashioned into a warm, loving quilt, gently wrapping them in the memories of the past --both good and bad- and holding them together in a new and wonderful way. They all looked so happy. Lindsey, always a mind blowing guitarist, was so playful with the crowd; Christine, grateful and back in the cradle of her career family; Mick, reflective, appreciative, crazy, father of the band; John, quieter than usual, but in his familiar place, and Stevie, the constant, the poet, the believer, twirling happily across the stage, this show being extra emotional as it was in her Phoenix home, parents gone, friends in attendance, her Mac back where they belong!

I have been to several concerts this year and Fleetwood Mac was by far the best in a long time! The set list was great! Those of you who didn't go, you missed out on a special treat! They've still got it well into their late 60's! Christine McVie is 70 and rocking like she was 20! Off the charts! Two encores ! Simply AMAZING!! Get there to see them if you have the chance!

I knew the concert would be good, but it exceeded my expectations. It was our first time at the Honda Center and we were pleased with the venue. Parking was easy, the facility was clean, food concessions were OK, all the staff was very helpful, the sound was excellent. Now for the band: These folks ROCK. Lindsey Buckingham is a wizard on the electric and acoustic guitars, making them sing or scream as called for. Mick Fleetwood is a maniac on the drums, pounding out high energy throughout the show and treating us to a long frenetic drum solo near the very end, after he had already been playing 2 1/2 hours! The ladies are in fine voice and they each have distinctive sounds that add tremendous variety to the set list. Stevie Nicks did an amazing performance on an extended version of Gold Dust Woman (my favorite tune of the night), with physical energy that would have done Mick Jagger proud. Christine McVie played accordion on Tusk that (oddly enough) compensated for the absence of the USC marching band. Fleetwood Mac played for 2 hours 40 minutes including two encores. I can't remember a band that has done that except The Boss. An absolutely outstanding concert. We plan to see them again before this tour ends, they are THAT GOOD.

What a spectacular night seeing Fleetwood Mac with the five members I fell in love with back in 1977 - Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and back with them again, Christine McVie. Great set list, they looked happy on stage and Lindsey Buckingham played his butt off. The highlight for me is always I'm So Afraid, but right after that, they went into Go You Own Way and it was the perfect song. It was great to hear Christine singing Say You Love Me, Everywhere, Little Lies and loved hearing her on Don't Stop. The backdrops were cool throughout the night and when Stevie and band sang Seven Wonders, the backdrop was gorgeous. You can tell Stevie's happy to have Christine back in the band. Girl power! I just loved that, for a band of players who are pushing 70 years old (except Christine, who has reached that golden age), they are totally on their game. Love me some Fleetwood Mac! Seventies music rules!

I have loved Fleetwood Mac since I was a kid riding in a car with a neighbor friend of my parents and she would tell me to pick out the music. I ALWAYS put in the 8-track of Fleetwood Mac. I remember the cover with Mick on his knees on a pair of shoes. I have had this band on my "bucket list" for years and I have to say it was worth the wait and more than I hoped for. Thank you. Stevie is on of my all time favorite singers and she delivered. They all were incredible. Again thank you for an awesome night!

We saw them in Oakland, at Oracle. They were amazingly well rehearsed and put on a show the audience wanted to see. These fine musicians are all in their 60's to 70 years old, and their voices and talent are holding up. I never saw them when I was younger, mainly couldn't afford it. But I was truly impressed. The graphics streaming on the backdrop and overhead panels added to the atmosphere. Only real complaints were (1) the Oracle has lousy accoustics, so we got a lot of reverb. (2) We had to stand the whole time to try to see something. Couldn't even see the side screens because everybody in front of us were standing. Otherwise, I believe it was very well done.

Fleetwood Mac has been my favorite band since the days of Danny Kirwan and Jeremy Spencer. Since the addition of Buckingham and Nicks it took on a new flavor...a better one. And I've seen nearly every concert in San Diego since, even when Christine McVie decided she needed a break from the pace of traveling during tours. But now she's back. So their concert Dec. 2 in San Diego was like traveling back to the mid 70's. I loved it ! Hey, we're all getting older together, and Stevie has little of the range she once had. But Christine, Lindsey, John and Mick have not lost a step. So many good memories are associated with playing their albums and watching them live. I am so happy that they have managed to stay together and once again, come to town and make me feel so alive. Great show.

The parking guys so nice, the staff going in, all so nice and inside everyone so cool!!! Although where we sat in sec 231 row 1 was so sticky it was gross and hard to walk. Perhaps the floors should be steamed before each show???

Christine Mcvie is back and she looks and sounds amazing. Stevie Nicks is beautiful as always, and still has her voice. Some of the higher notes were not quite there, but she is fun to watch. Good chemistry all around. Lindsey has great energy, and his songs sounded great as well. Wish they would have done Monday Morning, but all the other song choices were perfect. I was very pleased.

So happy that I waited to see Fleetwood Mac until Christine McVie was back in the group. The Forum is an old and familiar haunt for Fleetwood Mac, going back to their mid-70s heyday, so this performance seem a little extra special and there were plenty of smiles and hugs all around. Lindsey Buckingham was on fire the entire evening, and was the only member that really never left the stage. However, the entire band seemed to be playing on a higher level, and that energy and enthusiasm poured off the stage. An absolutely wonderful evening.

This is a must see concert - the return of Christine McVie makes for a killer setlist of hits long missing from Fleetwood Mac's repertoire in the sixteen years since Christine left the band. Lindsey's virtuoso guitar playing is worth the price alone, but add to that Stevie Nicks' enchanting persona and John and Mick's constant beat, and you have 2 plus hours of pure joy and bliss. The band sounds great and seem to genuinely love what they are doing and being together again.

Although we arrived at The Forum EARLY to eat at Cole's only to find that the venue doesn't open until an hour before the show AND that Cole's was NOT one of the concessions available on That Night for SOME reason so we wound up with Pink's Hotdogs... We forgot ALL of that for the next almost 3 hours when Fleetwood Mac took the stage!!!! Every Song was Great and Every Note was Perfect. Welcome BACK Christine McVie!!!! We have MISSED You and are SO Happy for your return. All the members of the band enjoyed performing and their joy and excitement came through in their enthusiasm and energy. On top of that The Forum can produce the purest sound of any other venue I have experienced, depending on who is on the board. This particular Engineer NAILED IT!! Fantastic Sound, Fantastic Performance, Mediocre and overpriced food and drink but an overall AMAZING SHOW!!

The New Fab 5 ... Despite all of the numerous personnel changes over the history of the band ... the classic lineup of Fleetwood - McVie x 2 - Buckingham & Nicks remains one of Rock's Iconic 70's bands ... wither it's the 3 part vocal harmonies, Chris's smooth vocals, the Gypsy ways of Stephanie Nicks or the over the top performances of Lindsay Buckingham .. the band rocks to a smooth grove laid down by the founders, John McVie & Mick Fleetwood ... a simple set design with excellent lighting .... the Mac is back

I have been a Fleetwood Mac fan since the late 1970s but never had the opportunity to see them live until last Friday and I was so glad I did, their set was perfect, they all connected with the audience, talked briefly about a song or about an experience they had, and they all seem to be enjoying themselves. I would love to see them again.

I had a great time tonight at the SAP Center. Starting with the tech; wonderful video montages and camera work. Sound quality was too loud and a bit muffly, but not horrible. Fleetwood Mac was great. They are seasoned pros, who know what they're doing, know each other, and have left behind the drama of the songs, so the performances are different than they were when I saw them in 1977. They are mature humans now, with deeper values and offering more nuanced performances. Stevie's voice was in excellent form tonight, even better than on the new album. Her tones were clear, no rough spots, and she hit notes that surprised me, and held them! Lindsay is the guitar God he is touted to be, and even though he, and the others, say similar stuff at each show, all of them (except for John of course), and Lindsay most poignantly, expressed something of themself in words to the house. Christine's presence was just right. Her voice is not as strong as it once was. She kind of yelps some of the high notes, but it doesn't matter. The Legendary Christine Perfect was right there in front of me. No complaints. Mick has really come out as the class clown/Papa...saying more than he used to, and even being miked for vocals during his awesome drum solo. John didn't speak, but his bass line is steady and strong! The set list was all hits, and it was great to enjoy the live performances of each song. No matter how great a recording, a live performance is where the heart is, and this band has a lot of heart.

Portland's Moda Center was alive with energy when the five 1970s-80s members of Fleetwood Mac performed a two-plus hour dynamite set of the songs that made them famous. Stevie Nicks, Lindsay Buckingham, Christine McVie (just returned to the band), Mick Fleetwood and John McVie took us on a sometimes spellbinding nostalgic trip through their extensive musical catalog. Some of their tunes may be decades old, but they are delivered to F.M.'s all-ages audience like they are brand new - with brightness, good musicianship and enthusiasm.
