This was my second time ever at the Apollo. First time watching Esperanza performing. I had listened to the album only a couple of times before the show...but nothing would've prepared me for this. She was so good she actually prompted me to write a review, something I've never done before. I was hoping she'd play more after her album set, but that's okay. It was more than I expected already. I can't wait to see her again.

I saw "Joe Piscopo and the Stars of SNL" at Snoqualmie Casino a few nights ago. What I expected to see when I entered was a traditional setting for comedy-- a bare microphone stand at center stage. What was there instead was the setting for a 15-piece band. Different, but we rolled with it... It was more of a nightclub act starring Joe Piscopo with comedy appearances by Victoria Jackson and, of course, Fr. Guido Sarducci, played by Don Novello. Joe did lots of musical impersonations and covered lots of Frank Sinatra tunes. I guess I never realized Joe was a musician. He is an excellent drummer and has quite a voice. My favorite part was the Father Guido Sarducci comedy. Joe and Victoria were funny too. Victoria seemed a little less polished--perhaps that was part of her routine though. That was always part of her character on SNL. Not exactly what I had expected, but pleasantly surprised with the results.

KWS was phenomenal! It was great to see him in such a small setting. I got great service from the staff. The all treated me like we were old friends. I gave the venue two stars because the seating is beyond cramped and the food was sub-par.

The sound for this entire event was BEYOND crap!!! The house sound guy was mixing it all wrong and the artists lyrics and sound was over powered the entire show! I would highly recommend investing in a more professional sound company!!! I will not be returning to Selland Areana, or to another 90's Block party unless a actual sound company is working the sound! Unfortunately this is not the first time I have experienced bad sound at Selland....but it will definitely be my last!

They sounded even better live than on the album! Plus the addition of sax and second guitar was a nice touch.

I've been to lots of shows but I have never enjoyed a concert this much. Bear's Den is phenomenal live. It is obvious that they are passionate about their work and that they have fun performing. Their audience interaction was also great, they kept everyone enthralled. And the crowd loved them, everyone seemed to know every word of their songs. I felt like I was in the midst of fellow diehard Bear's Den fans that evening. It was incredible. On a side note: It was awesome to have met the lead singer, Andrew Davie (I even had a selfie with him). And it was cool that both Andrew Davie and Kevin Jones signed the vinyls I purchased that evening. Nice guys! Oh yeah, they even performed the Boston-related song that I requested, Pixies', "Where is My Mind."
