Santigold

It was fun, performers were good and the effort was there. Song selection was decent, Enjoyable from that aspect - so, although there is more written below on the negative end, the show was good and I would recommend it (but don't get there early). On the negative - WAY, WAY too loud (and we were in the balcony). No reason for it. The FOH guy needs to evaluate better. All 3 acts were so loud, it distorted the sound and made it difficult to hear what was going on. Also, it would be nice to have less recorded stuff and more live performing (but that is a long, growing trend that is getting worse, at all concerts). But I knew what I was getting, going in. More musicians on stage would really take the performance/show to a new level. Last - the openers did not fit the genre at all. Santigold is not an aggressive, angry rapper, yet both openers were. Her roots are more alternative, and now trending towards pop. And the very first artist (Donmonique) - that was a total train wreck.

She was fantastic and super fun! Love, love, loved it.

Santigold is an AMAZING performer! Her songs are so unique and just great to listen to. I would definitely go to another one of her concerts. ALSO, the fox theater was a perfect venue! I HAD A BLAST!

The opening acts were so full of energy it set a good stage for Santigold to come on. Her songs were all performed with high quality and her dancers killed it. Got to meet her after the show by chance, and she was such a joy. Loved the show!

This is the second time that I have seen Santigold, (well last time she was actually Santogold, but whatever). She puts on a high energy, super cool show. Her voice is just awesome and her back up singers, dancers are mesmerizing. Can't wait to see her again!

Both the opening performer and Santigold were amazing. I'd never heard of the first group which was an atypical 90's rap group that was very experimental and had a crazy amount of swag. Santigold was even better than the first time I saw her with two dancers that were a show within themselves. So amazing. New songs were mostly perfect. She played all of her old songs and they were too good.

Amazingly creative and exciting! She crushed it! The venue was a perfect fit as well.

The show was electric, the crowd was electric. Standing in the audience you felt that you were part of something new, something inventive, something that was original. Santigold inviting audience members up on stage during her performance of "Creator" was a very nice gesture that i am sure has secured her fan base. Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs made an appearance for "GO", and that was an absolute treat. Span Rock was the opening act and joined Santigold on stage for the end and closing of the show. A great, fun and electric show that will not likely be forgotten any time soon!

What a performance! The live band was great. The dancers were unbelievable. There were probably about six costume changes. The venue was perfectly intimate. Excellent sound. Really great layout and decor. Im so happy the second show opened up. Unforgettable! SpankRock was a great opener.

Santigold crushed it @ Music Hall of Williamsburg. She played all her best songs, had some great costumes, AMAZING backup dancers. It was nonstop, and so much fun. She pulled about 25 people on stage with her at one point, so jealous, wish I got up there

AMAZING SHOW! She was so exciting to watch with rad costumes and a couple of dancers/back up singers. She played a really upbeat set and brought half the audience on stage at one point. The Foundry was also an awesome venue, with a super wide stage that made it easy to get close up, even though we got there late. We all had an awesome time!!

I go to a lot of shows, and this one ranks among the top!!!! So much great energy!

This was my first time to see Santigold live, and she and her crew did not disappoint! The show was high energy, stage presence was engaging (and I loved her backup dancers), and the music was excellent. The visuals and props were great too. Even if you are not super familiar with her music, you will enjoy this show. Santigold is a talented musician and performer.

The venue wasn't too packed like the last Santigold show. Not sure why the entire table section was closed off. Seems like wasted standing room in my opinion. Temperature was good. The bars never had any lines. The sound wasn't too quiet nor too loud. It was all around a great experience.

Aside from the show starting over two hours from the time doors opened, it was an amazing time! Santigold has such great energy, as do her backup dancers. I highly suggest going to see her if you have the chance!

Santigold was on point. She delivers each note with conviction and continues to make waves with her cool demeanor. I hope to see her again and I think Steve Madden for this opportunity to see her for FREE!! Amazing..

This show seemed like a somewhat scaled down version of the show she did last June at Club Nokia. As always, Santigold, her dancers and her band put on a great show.

Santigold was amazing! It was my first time seeing her in concert and I cant wait to see her again. Her performances of both New and Old songs was fantastic...she even performed a Major Lazer song! The crowd was definitely pleased. You go Girl!!

Santigold was incredible. The show was pretty simple, three musicians in the back, two backup singers/dancer (who were amazing) and Santi. The vocals were great, and she really got the crown going. High energy and a lot of fun!

Santigold was absolutely amazing live! If you are a fan or enjoy some great vocals with sick beats, you should definitely check her out. Also, the Fox is a beautiful venue; very chill with lots of room to grab a drink and dance. Basically, it all made for an unforgettable night!

The show was awesome. I saw her in 2008 at the Fillmore. This time she had both dancers plus a band! They sounded great! The dance moves were fun to watch!

I had never intended to go to this show. It was something i decided on last minute. Best Idea ever. I had seated tickets, but noone around us sat the entire show. Santigold put on one of the best performances i have been to this year!! The energy was great. She is not only an amazing, innovative, and versatile singer, but a true performer. I enjoyed the entire show and there wasnt a song that was out of place. Well chosen playlist, however I did not get to hear I'm A Lady. This show was just plain fun. I left the Fox feeling giddy like a kid.

This was a great show. I would have given her 5 stars, but I felt the concert was too short. She and her band had so much energy and we were feeling it! She should have kept us rocking into the early morning hours. One of the best shows of 2012!

You can tell from the moment she takes the stage that Santigold is in this business to make music and have fun. The fact that she gets paid to do this and can live off those residuals is an added benefit not a driving force. Her energy is felt and widely received from the first note. Her show is not filled with elaborate stage sets or dramatic effects but its hardly needed. Her dancers / "back-up singers" in their simple yet eye catching costumes keep the head and eyes bobbing while Santigold snuck off for not one but TWO costume changes, which for a show of this scale is a welcome change. Her vocals were pitch perfect which considering style of musical output I was prepared for dissappointment. EXCELLENT SHOW.

Good Productions the show was alright. Santagold does have a sound but was not impressed did not feel anything and I left early there were some good moments. Overall blah More hype...as to anything really different Shakti Thara!

Santigold has the best dancers in the business and the Roseland was a great venue to see her perform. MNDR was a great opener as well.

From the amazing and hypnotic choreographed dancers, to the uniquely-outfitted backing band, to the thorough and long set list that played all of her hits and crowd favorites, to the "we are one" moment with 30 fans onstage during "Creator," Santigold's show was one of the most satisfying and energizing concerts I have ever been to (right up there with Beach House, M83 and Light Asylum). On top that, Santigold showed genuine love for her fans, constantly conversing with them, smiling and laughing. She looked and acted like she actually wanted to be there, and the energy was infectious. When I got home I could barely sleep. Welllllll worth $40!

Postponed twice since June, here we are with Santigold finally in Columbus! I was originally kind of excited to see the opening act from June, Theophilus London. Unfortunately, he wasn't around this time through, die to the numerous re-schedules. But luckily, we got TEEN from Brooklyn, which, while ENTIRELY different, were still a good choice for an opener. They brought a Tanya Donnelly-flavored set with lots of emotion and a shot of keyboards. I want to hear more. Santi brings gangs of attitude and swagger, and has an enormously entertaining stage presence with lots of crown interaction - including bringing around 100 audience members onto the small Newport stage for an audience dance party while belting out "Creator". She played a really well-rounded set with plenty of both old and new songs, and a couple of rarities dropped in as well. The backing dancers/vocalists come across as silly at first, but eventually you come to realize that they are a unique and essential part of the stage presence, and you can't imagine things without them. They brought much energy and skill to the table, and added an element of fun to the proceedings. Bottom line - Santi was pitch-perfect; the sound in the Newport was excellent; the dancers were engaging and talented; and the band held their own with unique visual flair and musical skill. An excellent evening!

After 3 tries of making her way to Columbus, Santigold finally made it and did not disappoint! The show was super high energy with the help of her dead-pan yet hard dancing back up singers and rocking out band. The set felt kind of short, but she played all of her best songs and left me wanting more which is a good thing. I highly recommend! You won't be able to keep from shakin it!

Ms. Santi and her crew put on an incredible show. Amazing energy throughout the set and encore. The choreography was the cherry on top, her dancers/singers were fantastic. She smiled the whole evening and expressed gratitude for the crowd. Santigold never disappoints...

I love Santigold, and this is the second show of hers that I've been to. Her backup dancers are amazing and so fun to watch, and the whole show carries great energy. I also love her social message and her commentary on consumerism. The negative feedback I have is for her second opening act, which was beyond TERRIBLE. The woman was dressed in camo wearing a ski mask and looked like a terrorist. Her sound was so loud, jarring, and cacophonous that I wanted to put her on mute, especially because she only screamed profanity and not much else. It was by far the worst opening act I've ever seen, and I wish I had left the concert and come back when Santigold came on.

Had a great time seeing Santigold at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Got there early and snagged a great seat in the balcony. Was able to see the stage even when people were standing! I liked that her opening acts were both female MC's, who we both entertaining. All in all great show! I want a selfie sweatsuit lol!

I had only heard the new album once and wasn't sure what I thought of it, so I wasn't sure that I would fully enjoy the show. BUT I totally enjoyed it. The music was good. We enjoyed the costume changes and the energy. The dancers were somewhat comical but entertaining. We left energized and happy that we went!

Not having any idea what to expect, I was impressed with the show. From the set design, dancers, and great music. I became a fan, and look forward to seeing her again sometime.

Santigold always puts on a great show. The music, her costumes, the stage show, the backup singers are all great fun. My only issue was the sound. Some songs we could barely hear her. The flip side of that was the strength of the bass. It pounded right through you. Nice crowd and a fun time.

The line for this place went on for many blocks. Total buzz kill. I love Santigold but would rather see her at a smaller venue. Place was filled with people who tracked far and wide and waited a long time in line. That made for an unfriendly pushy crowd that was hard to get around.

Santigold brings an energetic set to Roseland. It was an amazing mix of great vocals and quirky choreography. I think they bring something very unique, they were entertaining the entire time and Santigold definitely left me wanting more.

Santigold puts on a great show .. her and her dances are full of energy and keep the crowd going. Only disappointment was some of the audience .. if you want to stand still -have dont go to this show! Its a Dance Party!! Great time.

I haven't been to Roseland in years and didn't know what to expect. I arrived at 8:30 thinking I'd missed half the show but Santi didn't perform until 10...which was frustrating and a little Diva-ish but when she hit the stage it was well worth the wait. The venue was PACKED with all kinds of different people; homegirl's fan are ECLECTIC! I danced until my feet ached so I took them off, tucked them in front of me and danced some more! Without backup singers, without the fancy electronic editing crap people alter their voices with and Santigold is still pitch PERFECT! If you have the opportunity--go to a show! Her backup dancers, AKA the SG BOMBS are wicked serious and DOPE!

Even though she canceled twice (or newport canceled twice) it was worth the wait. I'd almost forgotten I had tickets! Santi was awesome, the dancers were awesome, and nothing's better than seeing a band of her caliber in a smaller venue like the newport!

Santigold was really involved with her audience. The performance was full of energy from the dancers to getting up on stage. I will never forget this concert and will always see her when she is in town...Also did an encore performance..love her!

The highlight for me was the Legends of Hip Hop. The show as amazing. I lost my voice. The crowd was chill and peaceful and diverse!! Just a great afternoon.
