Big Data

Electrorock outfit Big Data generated significant buzz in 2013 with their breakout hit \"Dangerous\", a hook-laden slice of funky electro that featured fellow New York band Joywave. The track's slick beat, heavy bassline, and kaleidoscopic synth lines sound better than ever in concert, and the band's infectious energy always gets crowds moving and shaking. Big Data may be new to the scene, but their polished tracks and dance-heavy live shows have them well on their way to the big leagues. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:Big Data is the project of Rochester, New York-based musician and producer Alan Wilkis.

This was quite possibly the best concert I have ever been to considering the music, location and the amount of beer available with much ease. We spent a little extra to access the VIP section and it was well worth it. I didn't know exactly what I was getting into with the VIP tickets, but it was simply amazing. We literally got to lay on beds under the stars while drinking beer and listening to Big Data, I think I was in heaven!! Once we got to the VIP section it was as if the lights shined and the heavens parted. There was more than enough seating/laying areas to accommodate the amount of people in the raised section area of the beach for the VIP's. The VIP section also contained 4 beers that the rest of the people could not access, which was cool and had no lines. The main section had many beers and slightly long lines, but that was to be expected since you got to drink all the beer you could with the price of admission. Overall a great night, can't wait to get back and do it again. Great venue, reasonable ticket prices with lots of beer and amazing speaker system. Looking forward to another great concert at the beach!

That was such an awesome show, the beer tasting was great, and having it at Manalay Bay was perfect. We had a blast listening to the bands and socializing with the people around us, I would definitely do this again.

Cowboy Mouth opened and left me wanting more! more MORE! I hope Liquid Society will have them back next year as a main act. Big Data was big and put on a good show but overall not my thing. I'm sure they have a bright future in pop but I'm more of a rock and roll fan

Everything about this show was brilliant! From the small, intimate venue to the incredible stage energy by Big Data, the whole concert was one for the books. First- Chappo, the first opening band, was awesome. Lead singer came onto the floor and was super interactive, dancing with many of the audience! Second opening band, On and On, were phenomenal. They have a great sound and hopefully a very promising future. Then, Big Data came on and was just incredible from the get go. They use creative banners, replicating the "big data" quintessential platforms, such as google, hulu, and others. Lead singers were incredible, dancing was off the charts, and visuals were captivating. This was a show not to be missed, and I'm so glad I was there!

Big Data really takes it to the next level, with an energy-packed danceable show that my friends and I went nuts for. Great music. One of the best shows I've EVER seen--I suggest you catch Big Data on tour ASAP. The in-between-songs computer voice is hilarious and audience participation top notch.

Coinciding with the release of Big Data's debut album, 2.0, this performance was the first stop on the Gimme Data Tour and the energy was through the roof! We also got the added bonus of guest performers Martina Sorbara of Dragonette and Bear Hands' Dylan Rau, providing the vocals for the songs they respectively collaborated on-- one of the perks of a Big Data concert when friends happen to be in town-- You never know who might show up :D An amazing show in general. The band really throws themselves into the performance, and it's a giant party. Sure, it's a reminder of how much controversy there is about privacy, freedom, emotional connectivity, and the value of such things in the digital age, but the exploration of that is artful and as celebratory as it is critical. The future is here, and it's brilliant and dark, sometimes scary and often breathtaking, weird, but awesome-- so we might as well dance. Very much recommended!

I strictly went to this event to see RDGLDGRN. They were amazing and we would have very much liked to have had them on stage for more than 30 minutes. While I had a good time, I feel like there were too many bands crammed into one evening and none of them really got enough stage time. Would LOVE to have RDGLDGRN play this venue again as the headliner, or at allotted at least an hour to perform.

My son and I traveled from the VA Beach area and stayed overnight in Richmond just for this concert. All the bands were great but Big Data with Joywave was the best!
