Depeche Mode

This was my fourth time seeing the 'Mode' but my first in the US. I saw them on their very first tour back in the 80s in a packed Rock City in Nottingham UK. They've changed a lot since then in terms of songs, performance and of course physically too! I enjoyed the show but I learnt to always spend that bit more and get seats closer to the ground, up in the nosebleeds a lot if the energy was diluted. I also think that American audiences don't quite get Depeche Mode like Europe does? It's a lot more interactive and there's more of a rapport between the band and fans.

Was great, unforgettable. The best concert in my whole life. We flew from Ecuador just for the Concert, very long trip and came back the next day. It was totally worth it. I ll do it again if I could.

This band came out rocking and didn t stop all night. They sound better than they did back in the day!!! No one sat all night. We were all dancing and singing all night long!!

The boys really out did themselves last night, they brought all the great ones. I've seen them already on the last 5 tours and have to say that last night was one of the best if not the Best! I wanted the show to never end!

Last night's DM concert was the first concert I have been to in years and let me tell you that it was great! It was great because they sounded just like they had when I saw them last 10+ years ago. I love their music and their energy. They played songs from their new album, which sounded way better than it did on my iPod. They also were in tune with their audience and played a lot of their core DM songs. Being an old concert goer at 42, I was happy to see that I was not the only one in my age group. Would definitely go again the next time they are in town.

Oh my god! This show was unforgettable, Depeche Mode are amazing performers and watching them live is a unbelievable experience. My girlfriend and I had amazing seats and were definitely worth every penny!

started slow, new songs are forgettable, but you can't beat good old ones!

This was a terrific show, with an excellent play list. The boys from DM interacted with the audience and I was clear the audience loved it!

Although new songs are not as good as old ones. Show was stunning. But the sound was NOT.

I've been in love with Depeche Mode for about 20 years now, so I was incredibly excited to attend this concert because it was my first time seeing them live. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed (although I am admittedly biased because I love the band so much that just having the opportunity to see them was enough to make it an excellent experience). Dave Gahan has so much energy. He exuded it onstage. It was very entertaining to watch him shimmy around to the music. The band played a well-balanced set of old and new songs. However, they steered clear of their earliest material. Maybe there's enough bad blood between them and former songwriter Vince Clarke that they don't even want to play the songs. That was a little disappointing, but overall they played most of the favorites that I was hoping to hear. Martin Gore performed a couple of the few songs that he takes lead vocals for, which was great. While I prefer the uniqueness of Dave's voice over his, he has a great singing voice and it was nice to see him have a chance in a more direct spotlight. I don't know - it just somehow made the band seem more like a family, if that makes any sense. Bottom line - the concert was excellent. Dave's voice was overall spot-on. It's great to go to a concert and see that the person you admire can indeed sing. Sometimes that isn't the case - it's blatantly obvious that the vocalist only sounds good on the albums after heavy editing/manipulation in the studio. That is definitely not the case with Depeche Mode. The live music is very genuine - an excellent reflection of the music on their studio albums. The sound quality was great, the visuals were interesting, and the band had so much energy. They played for a good long while, too, which was very nice considering the ridiculous amount of money I had to spend on tickets. It was worth every penny, though.

So lucky this show happened. The weather held up, and Depeche Mode was amazing!! They sounded like classic DM yet modern with the edgy guitar accents, and earthshaking bass beats. Loved how the show opened with an enormous flock of seagulls fleeing from the roof of the Amphitheatre as they began playing (we were on the lawn - it looked really poetic!) Didn't want the show to end! Best concert of the year for me.

I went to this concert as a favour to my wife. The opening song was a little off pitch but being a true professional, by the second chorus he was back and stayed on for the rest of the show. I attend a few concerts a month and this was the best sound quality and best production I have seen in years. The guys are getting old and a little self concious since their images on the big screen were often black and white or artistic negative images.

The concert was great, played some new stuff and old stuff which was nice. Sound just as good as the studio sound

The Show was absolutely amazing. I've seen them over 7 times and they are still rockin like they always do. David Gahan, well all I can say is that man can move! WOW! and Martin Gore, he's always great!! I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best band, best songs, best experience ever. Depeche Mode have been around for almost 30 years and I only wish I was born earlier so I could have experienced them from the beginning!

As usual the show was awesome. High energy, great selection of songs, and nice visual effects.

After nearly 30 years of making and performing great music, most bands would've called it. But not Depeche Mode. Despite a torn calf muscle and recent bout with cancer, lead vocalist Dave Gahan put on an amazing show for his fans. I've seen DM now over 10 times, and this concert was up there with the best. Great sound quality, phenomenal visual effects, and - oh yeah - 2+ hours of fresh-sounding music from the greatest synth-pop band ever. Performing songs from their newest CD Sounds of the Universe, Depeche Mode balanced their new music with remixed versions of their biggest hits, as well as a few lesser-known songs for true DM fans. Only one negative I saw to the entire night - getting out of the Molson Ampitheatre. Approximately 16,000 fans had to funnel through a major bottleneck at the back of the venue to make it back out to the Toronto streets. We had good seats, and paid the price by waiting nearly 15 minutes to exit the premises. Need to find another way to get concert-goers out of there more quickly, guys! All-in-all, a great evening.

They were simply amazing. Sounded like the DM of old. Thought I was listening to the DM 101 CD at times. Dave's voice is amazing and Toronto crowd was very into it!

Show starts with new music and progresses to the hits that we all expect. What you don't expect are the background visuals that are unique, fun and provocative! They updated and gave some new edge to all of the music along with bringing back music that hasn't been seen live in a long time, which for most hardcore fans will NOT disappoint. Bottom Line is the concert builds, builds, builds in energy!!!!!

Last night, Depeche Mode kicked off the North American leg of the Tour of the Universe and it was great! I witnessed the power of the Mode in full swing as they played a tremendous set of hits from the past and present. Dave was in great spirits and so was the rest of the band. It's indeed to go down as one of my fave shows. Check out the Mode when they come to your town. You won't regret it!

The setlist was changed slightly from the European leg of the tour, as was the background screen. It was a strong show, all the way from beginning to end. Dave Gahan is still one of the most charismatic frontmen. He just commands your attention and holds it throughout. Martin Gore's vocals were outstanding and consistent as well. Andrew Fletcher was excellent on the Keyboard. Depeche Mode is one of the only bands with a heavy electronic sound that can duplicate their sound live. Even though I was on the lawn, I still enjoyed every moment of this awesome show. The sound, the lights, the screens, the people...all perfect!

Amazing concert! These guys sound great live and put on a fabulous stage performance. Played old and new stuff. Definitely looking forward to more things from them (still!!)

Though I was unhappy, about them not playing "People are people", it was an excellent show. I was extremely happy when they played " Stripped". Love you guys!!!

The sound/venue was horrible. The only way you could really get the full range of the sound was to be the lucky 1/3 on the floor. So if you were the rest of the 2/3, then it was quite muffled. D.M. performance was good, but I think they could of rearranged their set list a little better. Audience was fun however.

It was everything I could have hoped for, especially with the songs they played. The show was artistic, raw, and had a light show that played with the senses.

I went to see Depeche Mode because my wife is a fan. I was very glad I went. The show was very entertaining and had everyone up dancing from beginning to end. I had never been to TD Garden before and it was a great place to see a show. We had club seats which gave us access to a hallway that is a museum of Celtics and Bruins memorabilia as well as some lounges that all have a view of the stage. Great night.

For their advanced ages Dave Gahan moved around constantly for the more than two hours they gave the audience. They still sound great and for a first time seeing them I was thrilled by their performance!

Saw DM in Boston. Great show, they are getting better with age. Great energy and great sound.

I went to see Depeche Mode for the first time when I was fifteen and I brought my daughter who is 17 years old and my sister. Amazing show every time these guys are so impressive especially after all these years. I loved how they have raised so much money for clean water. The world needs more Depeche Mode. I really hope I can see them again with my daughter

DM always put on a good show. Their music has stood the test of time and songs still sound fresh. They cover "Enjoy the Silence," "Personal Jesus," "Everything Counts," "Walking in My Shoes," "Precious," "It's No Good" and so much more.

I had a blast at the Depeche Mode concert at The Barclay Center. I have been wanting to see this band since the 80 s and they did not disappoint. The venue was awesome as well seeing it was my first time there. I can t wait to see them again.

I've loved this band since 1982. this,was my first time seeing them. the energy of the crowd was amazing. I had floor seats but I wish there were screens higher up to see the whole band.

I'm fan of DM science 1987. For me all shows of them are amazing .

Wasn't disappointed. Somehow I have always missed Depeche Mode when they came thru town. They are one of my all-time favorite bands. It's amazing so see how much energy they still have after all these years. Enjoyed every single moment of the show.

Great show, performed large panacea of their history. sound system was excellent considering the United Center s inherent acoustic issues. Digital screen behind them reinforced there lyrics/music. Band continues to exert a lot of energy even though they re in their mid to late 50s. I felt their new music sounded better live than it did on their album. This band was ahead of its time in terms of electronic/synth orchestration and use of sequencing. Their addition of a live drummer, especially their current member, raised their live show.

The concert was great. They were a little bit delayed though. Too bad they didn t see the best classics.

Great high energy show with lots of classic favorites, and newer songs, too. I saw them in 1990 in Dallas on the Violator tour, and this show was even better.

You can probably count on both hand the bands that can still fill an 18K area from the 80s! If you haven t been to a live Depeche Mode concert you are missing out!!

I waited 30 years to see Depeche Mode and they didn't disappoint.

Saw the impeccable Depeche Mode in San Antonio TX on 5/27. I've seen them in concert 4 times before and they never fail to make me feel the same way I felt over 30 years ago when I heard "Just can't get enough" for the first time! They are simply AMAZING & will forever be my favorite band!

Last time I saw Depeche Mode was in San Diego..... great concert then and outstanding today!!!

So my girlfriend and I drove up from Houston to catch Depeche Mode. This was the first time at the AT&T Center for a concert. We had an amazing time. Show was great, people were awesome and the staff was very courteous and helpful. We will definitely go back for another show. Yes this is a real review

One of the few bands that I can say will always put on a great show. If you are a fan you will love seeing them live. The setlist always covers a long range of music with a great closing act.

This was my 3rd Depeche Mode concert. All were great but this one was the BEST so far. Staging, sound, vocals - all top notch.

Depeche Mode really went all out and gave an outstanding unforgettable show! I was so happy and loved hearing their new and old music! I loved how they would work the crowd and interact with their music and the play list was awesome. They got the crowd get up and dance throughout the whole show and moved us. Was very pleased with the venue. Staff was very accommodating and the parking was easily accessible.

The show was amazing and everything I hoped for as Ive been trying to see this group for years, not only was it an amazing performance , but the staff hosting the event were incredibly humorous and welcoming and did everything they could to ensure everyone had the best time! I will definitely be seeing more shows here!

Whenever possible, I try to see Depeche Mode two times when they go on tour. With their return to the US for 9 select cities, I was able to travel to Anaheim to see them on their "Global Spirit Tour" for a second time. I have seen Depeche Mode in concert more times than I can even count at this point. I think it would be impossible for me to ever walk away from a Depeche Mode concert disappointed given how much I love them, however this tour, in my opinion, is the best I have ever seen. Their energy and ability to engage the crowd is infectious. Ever since I can remember seeing them live, they have always had great opening bands play to get the crowd pumped for them too. If you have the chance to catch this tour, you will not be disappointed. They play a little bit of everything, from their early classic hits to cult fan favorites to brand new songs off their latest album, "Spirit". There was an amazing selection of high-quality merchandise available as well at this show which greatly pleased me! I could go on and on about the many high points of the evening but long story short, this is an epic tour, this was an unforgettable evening, and this band is unstoppable.

Had the best night so far this year! I have always been a fan and have never been able to see them live. This was the best show ever! The venue was small enough to feel close and the employees were outstanding! The only thing I wished for was a second encore with more songs! Thank you for a great night!

My 5th show this season, and I still haven't had enough!

A DM fan Since early 80 s along with Yaz /Yazoo, New Order, Ultravox, Yello, Kraftwerk, Duran Duran , Nitzer Ebb & more have always like D-Mode!! First time seeing Depeche was the Some Great Reward Tour in San Diego with opening band Book Of Love. Despite my busy schedule was unable to attend the 101 show but have seen them at every show until 2006 Playing the Angel Tour in San Diego at the Sports Arena. Missed their shows until last night. Last Night s show at the Honda Center in Anaheim California 5/22/2018 was actually surprising as they played a little more rewind hits than expected. Where s the Revolution and Going Backwards were great!! Martin L. Gore s performance was Awesome!! The entire show was absolutely fantastic!! Never Let Me Down, Personal Jesus, Stripped, A Question of Time, Home, World In My Eyes, Enjoy The Silence and the hits roll on\u2026.

Great location for a concert! We saw DM Friday 9-15-17 and then drove to Nashville for the Monday 9-18-17 show. It was our first time in Nashville,I bought the VIP package. 3rd row center seats were incredible. I try to see DM at least 3-5 cities every tour and this was my 2nd stop. 1/13/18 Amsterdam is next!

This historic venue was AMAZING! The location is well maintained and easy to get around (despite having 17,500 people there!). The event was well organized, the sound was outstanding, and of course, seeing this iconic band was epic!!! If you are ever in L.A. and have a chance to see ANYTHING here, it would be worth it!!!

Seen Depeche Mode more times than I can remember never at the Bowl but now I have I certainly won t forget it Great concert saw them in London a few months earlier but this concert due to the venue was light years better A great Wednesday night in a great place

Depeche Mode live is like no other. They take you on an emotional journey that leaves you ecstatic and wanting more. Dave Gahan's charisma and energy and moves on stage perfectly compliment each song they perform and Depeche takes you on a trip around the world and back. I can't wait to see them again!

As always, DEPECHE MODE was AMAZING! This was my first time at the Hollywood Bowl (even though I've lived in SoCal for almost 40 years). What an incredible venue. I can't think of any other band that I would want to experience my first time at the Bowl with than Depeche Mode. So much energy from Dave Gahan. I'm a proud fan!

Haven't been here for about 8 or 9 years and the place looked great. Some sketchy people hanging around but its LA. Depeche Mode was AMAZING! I'm just a casual fan but now after seeing them I love them. Our seats were in section F row 12 and were not too far. Reason for the 4 stars is the seating is not the best. They're benches so anyone can pretty much sit anywhere there's room.

Warpaint was worth getting their early for. DM was great as ever. The energy they have! Took me back to the 80's.

From start to finish, a great show. DM gets better with age. They sounded and looked phenomenal. I ve seen them three times, and this was the best show yet.

Great show as always! Saw them 28 years ago and David Gahan has the same passion and energy as he did back then.

An epic 4 sold out nights at the Bowl. And they changed up their set list and surprised us with Useless, Sister of Night, Precious, But not Tonight and Policy of Truth. Everything was magical!

For 36 years I ve listened to DM. Never once was I able to make a concert. I finally was able to in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl. It was perfect!! Music and vocals were perfect. Lights and show were phenomenal. The venue was amazing and the people of LA made it that much more perfect!

The show was pretty good, but my view was obstructed by the speakers that came down and blocked the screen that played videos behind the band! Also, the screens up above in the middle of the stadium were not on. My seats were in 214, Row 8. I've never see an obstruction like this when seated in the 200's section. Was very disappointing. The band played mainly newer songs that I had never heard before, but once they started playing their older songs, the show was a lot more fun and upbeat!

David has such high energy and presence! Great singer live!

The hollywood bowl is huge. Open space bad sound. The band played for more than two hours however about 5 major hit songs were played. Very dissapointed. I paid more than $100 per ticket and i was not close to the band at all. The band put all their best performance but i think the open venue had a huge effect in the sound.

The best band ever. They have amazing chemistry with each other especially Dave and Martin. Cant wait to see them again.

For a band that's been together for over 30 years, you would think they would sound great.... Hmmm nope... The whole concert sounded extremely muffled... If I were them, I would fire their sound crew and get another one... all these people that say that they sounded great must be listening to them on an A track player.....

I had awesome seats and they have been my favorite band along with The Cure. I will never forget this experience!

Depeche made the most of the venue. I appreciate how they used the screens for close ups and a variety of videos and images. I also admire and appreciate that DM mixed up the set list all nights...my favorite was when Martin sang "Insight" on Night #3! The venue staff was very accommodating to my mother who is handicapped.

The concert was amazing Depeche Mode always bring it and never disappoints. This was probably one of their best concerts ... the energy and vibe at Hollywood Bowl was amazing.

Parking facilities at universal was very convenient, the acoustic always are the best. One of my favorite bands, they play absolutely awesome, not regrets.

It was only my 6 th Depeche Mode concert Pivotal Performance! All started in Chicago with the "People are People" tour. Ending right here in Los Angles with this magnificent "Global Spirit Tour". Can't wait for the next.

Depeche rocked and swung through the full spectrum of their library. They put forth a lot of effort on the new tunes which had a lot of people wanting to look deeper into the new album. The visuals and film-shorts that accompanied the music were fantastic as well. Only negative always remains to be seeing music at Oracle. Just an outdated venue not made for music and is usually way understaffed at concerts yielding long lines to get in and long lines at concessions. Circulation is always a mess. DEPECHE WAS GREAT THOUGH! Sometimes a venue can be a downer.

I've seen Depeche Mode EVERY time they come to the Bay Area and they NEVER disappoint! Dave Gagan's voice is intoxicating! This was the first show in my life that I ever got to share with my father and it was a blast! Depeche Mode forever!

Unbelievable show! I could see them over and over! Amphitheater needs to figure out the parking!! It took over an hour to park!

Concert at Mattress Firm Amphitheater was brilliant! Superb venue, valet parking was great! Awesome guys. Being sold out show got there early, so took advantage of the parking and tailgating with other fans. Sow was outstanding so many great tracks. Getting out of the concert was quick to, as valet parking gets you back on the road quickly. Overall, great experience, can't wait to see DM again!

DM did not disappoint. Great lively set 5 stars!!! Too bad the venue parking exiting was terrible...

This is my 3rd time seeing DM. Saw them in 85 and 92. They were amazing!

Depeche Mode was just awesome. They played for over 2 hrs and we were very happy to get to see them again. The venue was great, it was packed and the Arizona weather was just perfect for the night. I was just disappointed the didn't play my favorite song because "I just can't get enough".

Our 2nd time seeing Depeche Mode at Ak-Chin! Another first rate performance! Most of the audience kept singing, clapping, dancing,,, fun, fun!!

Depeche Mode as always was an unforgettable experience!!!! The energy....the Spirit....the MOVES.....I'm almost speechless! Absolutely amazing! I wish I could tour with Depeche Mode all over the world!
