Action Bronson

ACTION BRONSON IN CONCERT:Famous for his hilariously irreverent and often food-based lyrics, rapper Action Bronson is a burgeoning master of the microphone. While he draws frequent comparison to the seemingly immortal Ghostface Killah, his growth as an MC has put him into a category all his own. Fans are eagerly awaiting his 2014 tour dates in anticipation of his major label debut. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT: Queens-born rapper Arian Asllani is best known under the moniker Action Bronson.

Action Bronson is the real deal. He has an awesome live show, and had the crowd into it the whole time. I got to shake his hand and he gave me a bear hug. Also take a picture with him and it was my birthday and he autographed my koozie and wrote HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEAN!

The concert was great. Really though I had a blast. B.B. Kings opened there doors exactly at the time they indicated. The coat check was right on the same floor as the venue if anything right before the entrance to the main stage & not pricey at all like other event venues I've attended. The main stage room consisted of two level floors, up top a bar with lots too chose from. I bought two well mixed drinks, about $7 bucks each. Pretty typical price for any bar at at any concert venue. The audience was warned up by two premier DJ's which played some great mixes and mash ups of old school & now hip hop, real great sound. About an hour into the DJ plays the man Himself, Bronsoliño hit the stage and blessed the audience with his presence and charismaticly hit the audience off with several old & new tracks with some help from Big Body Bez who had the audience cracking up with his thoughts and comments. definitely one night for the books.

The stage being so low and close to the crowd made this show so personable and honestly unforgettable! I never once felt like there wasn't enough room or that I couldn't see anything going on like most venues. The energy was so amazing and he honestly brought such a connection to us (his fans). From giving every single person in the front crowd(who he could reach) a handshake or daps to jumping in the crowd and heading to the back and letting them experience the closeness it was all surreal and makes me respect him as an artist even more. The venue definitely allowed you as a fan to get on that personal level with the artist and I've never experienced that anywhere else

I love Action Bronson. And FunkFlex. But I can't believe they had the show in the ice storm! I couldn't make it and therefore missed the show.

The opening band, Party Supplies put on a very good live show. The crowd was really into it for a warm-up band. Bronson came on around 9:30 and performed for about an hour, taking five minute breaks several times, presumably to use an oxygen machine as his real-life obesity was staggering. When he was performing he exuded a lot of energy and really engaged the crowd. Towards the end of the set he climbed off the stage and wandered around the crowd which was a fun gesture for fans to see him up close and pat him on his sweat soaked back.

This is my third time seeing Action Bronson, 2nd time at the TLA. Real funny dude, puts on a real decent show. Well thought out, clever imagery in his rhymes + the scent of drugs in the air. Hip hop at its purest.

Action Bronson has to be the craziest concert I have ever been to. End of story. That being said, it's a good thing it was because all of the fans had to wait three hours past original show time to see his ginger ass. The ticket said doors open at six, they didn't open until seven-thirty. The ticket said that show starts at seven, he didn't come on stage until after ten. I didn't know this a head of time but I guess that's common for him to be late to his own show. Overall, if you can withstand the wait to see him, I highly recommend seeing this guy because he puts on one hell of a show.

Doors opened at 5pm. I showed up around 7pm to a DJ on stage playing terrible house/techno music. Every so often someone would mention that Action Bronson was "on his way". Ok, so I stuck around and watched as more "DJ's" took turns going on stage turning knobs while using iTunes on their MacBooks to blast horrendous club music. Every so often, an amateur rapper from Miami would come on stage and rap over some garbage track. After suffering through about 6 or 7 of these backpack-wearing wannabe rappers, the DJ's picked up again. Bronson did not go on until after 10pm, 5 hours after the doors opened. He played maybe 6 or 7 songs, often cutting the tracks short. All in all he was on stage for maybe 20 minutes. It was a terrible waste of time and money and the last time I ever give Bronson any money. He obviously doesn't care about his fans at all.

After at least 8 no name local rappers doing 3 songs a piece were finally called off by the crowd cheering for bronson, he finally showed his face. He rapped at most, 9 songs. He was good for the short time he was performing, then moments after his last song said "peace yo" and he was gone. Too much hype for too little bronson!

Bronson was great when he performed, but he only did like a 25 minute set and then left super quick. Hardly no interaction with the crowd. Also, the venue wasn't that great. One drink minimum per person at a time, and $20 minimum when paying with a card...lol...made it kinda of difficult to get a beer.

Bronsalino did his damn thing. From start to finish. 300 plus pounds w/ no lack of energy in site. No hype-man. Just him & the DJ. He performed 1/3 of the show from the audience. And didn't miss a word. He left it all on the field. Right off the bat he scooped-up a young fan who was using those forearm braces to support him standing. He snatched him up, and sat him down on stage right in front of the DJ booth. (Went & got his crutches from the crowd) Then he fired-up a blunt, hit it 2-3X, and passed it to the. Who played the background the rest of the show. I got a whole new respect for that brother for that.

The show was good, but was not memorable. The audio for the opening act was muffled, so I couldn't understand the words, only feel how loud it was. The show was to start at 8pm, didn't start until 8:30 with the opening act, and then Action Bronson didn't go on until about 9:30 or so. It feels like a waste of money to have a headliner for only an hour or so. The only redeeming aspect was that Action walked through the venue and took pics with fans.

Pretty weak show. Bronson only performed for about 40-45 minutes. Meyhem Lauren and Alchemist were billed to perform with him. Meyhem came out and performed 2 or 3 songs with Bronson and that was it. Alchemist just stood behind the turn tables mostly for looks cuz he really didn't have an integral part of the show. I spent $40 on balcony seats and fell like I got a $15 show. Biiiiiiiig let down. Worst concert I can ever remember going to

Action Bronson was amazing! His setlist was a mix of some of his best songs from Mr Wonderful, Blue Chips 1&2, and a few gems from Dr Lecter. He seems more assured, relaxed and confident in his abilities and isn't afraid to ignite passion, fun and energy into his set. His cheekiness and personality along with his magic stage presence sets him apart from a lot of new rappers out there. He unearthed his new talent of singing onto this audience at several times and also was happy to show the eclectic nature of his musical tastes through the original samples he used for a lot of his tracks. Only Bronson would walk on to a Turkish music sample! There's a true eclectic crooner inside this chef turned rapper. Only bad thing was that Bronson's set was too short and Meyhem Lauren's set was too long. Alchemist did his DJing stuff by playing some great songs in between both sets.

Bronson clearly clocked this one in as another day at the office. Came on stage, did the bare minimum expected and then hit the flood lights. The crowd chanted for an encore, he came back on stage but did not perform more. Whether it was the venue or Bronson that kept it short I do not know.

Action is one of the realest rappers out there right now and even though terminal 5 was packed it was still an awesome show with a great crowd. Action's set lasted a bit more than an hour and it was great the whole time. Meyhem opening was awesome, Queens really took over Terminal 5! One of the best shows I've seen at this venue and definitely the best live hip hop show I've seen, and I've seen a lot.

Been a fan of AB since Dr Lecter and saw him recently at a concert at BB kings where he killed it. Witt his first major label LP dropping the same day I thought this would be a special event. Bronson. Bronson rolled up late and just went through the motions. He looked physically exhausted and you could tell he has been just doing too much trying to promote. There was no passion and no connection with the crowd. The vocals were weak and he looked like he just wanted to go home. the place was crowded but well organized. Easy enough to get a drink or get to the restroom. Left before the encore because i was bored.
