The Zelda Symphony performance was fantastic. However, the seats at the venue were poor. I paid for second row seats in the upper level and thought I would have a fantastic view. I was at the end of the row at the edge of the theater, and could see part of the stage very well. Unfortunately, large suspended speakers above the stage blocked out 1/3 view of the suspended screen and a large portion of the orchestra. Wish I knew to pick different seats, since $90/ticket for 2/3 of the view is a pretty terrible deal.

Pricey for what you get. First half seemed like a big marketing event vs a concert. Timing was off at certain times and it was very apparent. I'd recommend the FF distant worlds over this.

The show was great. They have a real commitment to having a great show, even to the point of playing a song twice to make sure the video matched up. The musicians were excellent and the atmosphere was great.

I really enjoyed the event. I knew a lot about it and have the 25th anniversary CD from Skyward Sword, yet the screen behind the symphony that had video of the various games and points in the adventures where the music coincided was really cool. Plus people there in costume/cosplay was fun and the t-shirts for sale are one of a kind. Highly recommend.

The conductor, musicians, and choir members were all fantastic. My wife stated that this was the best orchestral concert she had ever attended. We were both ready to go back the next day. My only very minor disappointment is that I had hoped for a charged up, theme song heavy piece for the finale, which didn't happen. Even so, through the whole program, you can see the dedication, attention to detail, and hard work that has went into it. If you are on the fence about attending, please do yourself a favor and order the tickets. Even those who have no history with the Legend of Zelda series can appreciate what is offered here.

I'd attended this symphony before once at a different venue and while the venues themselves were no comparison, this symphony was equally moving both times. The nostalgia drummed up from the swells and falls of Koji Kondo's most memorable themes often left me either on the verge of happy tears or with goosebumps along the nape of my neck. Nothing can compare to listening to the sound of instruments coming together in live realtime. If you love The Legend Zelda, it's definitely worth every penny. (Even if they did leave out the Gerudo Valley piece this time...) I only gave 4 stars because most symphony orchestras wouldn't make you buy a basic program for the performance (though ten dollars isn't miller). They'd also usually have sufficient stock of them on hand; by the time we got through the huge merchandise line, they'd sold out. This is not a reflection on the peformance though. The musical performance itself was superb. Overall, will definitely go again. Will just plan better so that maybe I can get a program next time.

Firstly, and this has nothing to do with the actual performance, but one of the speakers at the venue was buzzing and was obviously not functioning properly...which was distracting. For the actual performance, I thought whoever composed the orchestration for the songs didn't do them as much justice as they could have. It felt as though they were orchestrated by someone familiar with orchestration but not with the Zelda franchise. I'd noticed several incorrect notes were played during the concert and the songs generally lacked power and feeling. The song list was also very plain and average. Several songs from Breath of the Wild, which not many people even remember, were played. Meanwhile Gerudo Valley and the Song of Storms, two of the most popular Zelda songs of all time, were not played. While they did play the Clocktown Theme from Majora's Mask, that's about the extent of the music from Majora's Mask...which contains some of the most memorable music from the series. All in all, I would not suggest this concert to a Zelda fan. I should expand on that and say that I would not suggest it to a Zelda fan who also knew anything about music composition or appreciation. I have no problem with suggesting it to a Zelda fan so long as they won't be able to tell the difference between an emotionally gripping performance and one in which the sheet music is simply played.

I really enjoyed this concert! The visuals perfectly lined up with the music, and they were really well done. The music itself was well composed and drew me in. I especially got chills during the Wind Waker pieces. The Breath of the Wild Goron City composition at the end was really well done as well. Definitely a unique and unforgettable experience!

The Symphony of the Goddesses was a great experience. Even high up in the theater and off to the side, the sound of the symphony was fantastic. The screen showed clips from the Zelda games that the symphony was playing the music to. It was overall a very nostalgic, well performed symphony experience.

This was amazing! The orchestra was fantastic and it stirred so many nostalgic feelings in my soul! My first Zelda was WW so starting with Dragon Roost made me so emotional. The only part that wasn't as enjoyable for me was the choir. They were a little rough at the beginning and when the Twilight Princess reprise started it wasn't spectacular (i'm sorry to say), but thank you Zelda Symphony!!!!

Saw the concert Friday evening in Knoxville. The music is absolutely, overwhelmingly incredible. Honestly, tears sprung to my eyes at the opening scene/music. It was so emotional. How can a series of video games cause one to have such connection? And, how the music is perfectly timed to the video scenes is simply amazing. I would go to every one of these if I could! (BTW, I am a 51-year-old woman who only "got into" Zelda a couple of years ago so that I could enjoy a better relationship with my son. Best decision ever! May BOTW have expansion packs for years to come...ha!)

I wept during the pieces they played from Ocarina of Time. It was amazing. If you ve played any of the older Zelda games you will be transported back to those precious times when looking for secret entrances and finding the Master Sword were your reason for being. When times were simpler. My heart was flooded with joy and longing for those times. The orchestra was perfect. They obviously love the music, and I over heard conversations between a few of them and the other attendees speaking about their love of the games as well. They re not just members of an orchestra, they re gamers too!

This wasn't my first Zelda Symphony rodeo, and compared to the other one I went to, this one was pretty disappointing. First and foremost, it was a tiny orchestra. I could point out exactly who was flat in each section (I'm looking at you, 2nd chair violin). And for the thing that almost ruined the experience: the chorus was a disgrace. Honestly. They didn't understand the idea of vocal projection, and they could have definitely used another rehearsal or five. Half of them were flat, and I'm pretty sure they were speaking the words rather than singing them. Twilight Princess is very chorale, and it was comedic how bad they butchered it. This was the best they could find in Atlanta? Because let me tell you, there's a whole Opera here full of local singers they use for their ensemble, and they're great. The operas here are full of talented singers. Even GSU's chorus is full of talented singers (as seen in Carmina Burana). And this was the best they could find? Luckily the brass section was great and the music of Zelda is pretty brass heavy with the exception of Breath of the Wild. The Link's Awakening movement was excellent, and so was the Link to the Past one. Huge shout out to the first chair flautist, because she was amazing and probably saved the entire experience with her amazing solo for Wind Waker, which brings tears to my eyes every time. All in all, yes, yes for sure go to a Zelda Symphony if you're a Zelda fan. But maybe consider not going to the one at Cobb.

It was an great concert. Music was very powerful and a good variety of games were played. The only thing that could have made it better was that the audience engagement was low. It was pretty much, intro, quick 30 second announcements, song after song, intermission, song after song again. I know this is more of a personal bias because we were spoiled when the Pokemon equivalent of the concert played and they joked around and had a meet n greet. I loved the Zelda concert, it is definitely worth seeing and the lack of engagement is really my only problem. Plus the speakers near the back of the hall made static sounds when a low pitch was played.

We were really excited for this concert, after going to a similar, Pokemon-themed concert at this venue last year, but in the end we all kind of felt like it was just "good." And even that admission felt like it was just in respect for the excitement we had before the concert, and the money that we spent to attend the event. The orchestra's itself was good, despite the occasional hiccup now and then: one of the stage microphones was bad and audible static could be heard, some of the microphones were too close and page turning and rustling could be heard very clearly at times. The choir, however, just felt awkward. They didn't seem very connected and at most times they just felt distracting. Other than that, there were some fan favorites that were noticeably missing: Gerudo Valley, The Song of Storms, Midna's Lament, and the none of the pieces felt as powerful as they should feel. I really feel like the orchestration could have used some "bigger" movements to really pull the crowd in. Everything ended up coming off incredibly subdued.

The Symphony of the Goddesses was so breathtaking. Everyone played so wonderfully and it was an experience I'll never forget. I had chills from the moment the lights dimmed, and it felt so surreal to have the music I've been growing up hearing played by such a breathtaking orchestra, accompanied by a great composition of game clips, and even commentary from Miyamoto, Tezuka and Kondo. There were many surprises throughout the night and no left without a smile on their face! Even those who haven't played the Legend of Zelda games would fall in love with the music. The audio-visual presentation was a love letter to the series and it's fans. The conductor seemed to be having the time of his life and the symphony itself was fantastic. The game images they played during the show was so delightful i wanted to play ALL the Zelda games while listening to the music. Merchandise they sold during the show, SOLD-OUT after the intermission. So if you go and want stuff, buy it BEFORE the break! Was surprised there were not MORE people "dressed up" (cosplay style or other) still the crowd was VERY Zelda-minded! Every now and then you could hear a commit made about "oh this is my favorite part/song", "crap, now you know who she is", "can we play this when we get home". One of the BEST symphonies i've ever been too!!

Very cool merchandise for sale too like posters, t shirts, and other things! The whole symphony did splendid and congratulate them for their efforts because without them then music would not bring the game to life. This was the second time I saw The Legend Of Zelda, Symphony Of Goddesses. The first time was at Milwaukee during their first season. There have been some minor changes, but for the most part the performance is still a great experience and worth seeing at least once for fans of the Legend of Zelda game franchise. The venue provided cramped seating, and unfortunately the stage lighting obscured up to 20% of the screen for those in the upper balcony. but the sound quality and volume were perfect. The orchestra and choir provided a great performance! Obviously the focus has always been on the music, but the first season performance included an introduction to the program by producer Jeron Moore explaining how the symphony came to be, and describing some of the collaboration with Nintendo. At this performance, other than a 30 second statement by Jason Michael Paul introducing conductor Eimear Noone describing his dissatisfaction with the opening song, there was no interaction other than by Eimear bowing or gesturing to the orchestra at proper times for applause. A less personal experience, you could say.

Let the nerds rejoice! You can not go wrong with a Zelda symphony. The screen looked good. The music hall was really, really nice. The concert started rough. The producer had them play the opener over. It was awesome the second time! The Wind Waker movement had a noticeable percussionist error, played a measure late at a critical moment. Twilight Princess had either a problem with a mic on one of the harpists or they also made an error on the stand out part in the late middle area. And I still think it's weird to hear acoustic instruments mic'd. The concert still sounded great though, amazing and worth every cent. I had the best time. The crowd was wonderful too. Zelda fans are simply awesome. I wish I bought a shirt, my only regret.

I've never heard perfection like this in a live setting for music of any kind. I'm a pretty tough and heartless dude and I'm pretty sure I teared up during the opening number. To understand my review you need to know a little background. In 2012 (I believe) I was living in and around the New Orleans area. A friend was telling me about how had plan to go to the Symphony of the goddesses, but he had to miss it on account of illness. We both agreed we should try to go again the next time the symphony came to town. However I moved around the country a couple of times over the next three to four years finally ending up back to New Orleans last year. So I looked into getting tickets in 2016, unfortunately they would not be coming back until around Christmas time. That being said, I had waited this long I was willing to wait a little longer. Well December rolled around, I had my tickets I arrived at the garage tho park which would lower my score if the event hadn't been so good, and the price so reasonable. The venue was wonderful, and had not a bad seat in the entire house. From start to finish I don't believe the smile on face ever moved. It was a wonderful trip through my childhood. The music itself was awe inspiring. I could not recommended it higher especially if you are even a slight Zelda fan. In fact I will most likely see it again in the future. 10 out of 10

Choir was off key 80-90% of the time, Orchestra was consistently off beat, or not in sync with each other. I'm not a harsh critic, and I'm not exaggerating. High school bands are better than this. Really love the source material and don't wish to hurt anybody, but honestly the whole performance felt very unprofessional and certainly not worth the price of the ticket. A beautiful symphony at a beautiful venue. A must see for any Zelda fan and great for a fancy night out at an upscale location with a special someone. The musicians showcased their amazing talent beautifully recreating classic Zelda tracks and combining them into a stunning performance.

Didn't know what to expect, but it was great. Loved how they merged a popular video game series with the beautiful sounds of the symphony.

The show was a lot of fun! Great for new and old Zelda fans. Getting to see game play footage while the orchestra plays was a great experience. A must for any Zelda fan.

Music was excellent and Concert Mistress did an exceptional job. Video was synced almost to perfection to the music which enhanced the performance. Staff informed audience of no video/audio capturing during the performance and everyone around me adhered to the request (unusual for this day and age). Will probably return next year if they perform in KC!

The concert was more a pretext to see a show at this venue. The parking situation leaves a lot to be desired as it's in the heart of Hollywood, but that aside, the venue is great and beautiful. The show is really for fans. We enjoyed it very much.

This was my first time going to an event like this and I was not disappointed. There was even a moment when I just closed my eyes because the music was THAT good, however I kept my eyes open because the scenes playing on the screen along with the occasional camera shot of the musicians kept me visually and audibly entertained. The conductor was extremely charismatic, which made for a more entertaining experience between musical sets. Of course you can't forget the pumped up audience in their cosplay outfits. I'd definitely go to one of these again, if not the same one.

The symphony was amazing. I played the games when I was a little and it brought back all of those memories. Absolutely worth going, even if you aren't familiar with the franchise.

Totally recommend it! Some of the best score renditions of the songs. The conductor was really cool, and fun.

The performers on the orchestra were amazing. Listening to the music live was something special. I've listened to these songs growing up and heard many covers but listening to the acoustic instruments really made me feel great appreciation for the music that went into the games. For those who are a fan of the games and enjoys the songs, I HIGHLY recommend going to one of these events. It was a lot of fun and you got to see a lot of emotions from the audience and the performers as well.

Generally disappointing. The 2nd tour (Wind Wakes HD release) had more variety to the music and pieces from across multiple titles, as well as a conductor that didn't stop and mug for the audience between. Every. Song. The conductor, while obviously adept and passionate, was more disruptive for me than whoever was talking a few rows back. The skill of the musicians was very apparent and very appreciated. I was in awe of the strings; the cellists did an amazing job. I definitely feel I overpayed for my seats, and will probably not return, should there be another tour.

The paramount theater is awesome, the seats are a little tight but nothing to worry about. The event was great, I wish they would play more song from the breath of the wild but still listening to tunes from the ocarina of time was also refreshing.

Beautiful orchestra, sound projected through speakers. What s the point of seeing it live? Loud feedback at times. Probably better off listening at home.

I'm a huge Zelda fan and have wanted to go to this for a few years, but the tickets always sell out. It was really an amazing concert, but I found myself disappointed in three things: Hearing the same song three times (either by a melody or the song in full), the screen didn't match the music (Goron's Village song playing while footage of Hyrule field?) and when they played a melody from a video game, they only played one or two of the songs, normally the first three songs in the game. I heard the Song of Time by a live choir though, so that made the trip worth it but I had expected more.

During the first half of the concert the choir was overbearing into the speakers as they were pumping horns and choir through the speakers and you could barely hear the strings. The music sounded unorganized like it was the first time the choir and orchestra had practiced it. Many times could hear someone in choir wildly out of key drawing the rest of the choir out of key. The horns were cranked up way too loud into the hanging speakers but were a little better after intermission. Overall the first half of the concern was a disorganized mess all around with the orchestra being ok to good but choir and mixing being god awful. The second half was better after intermission, but not by much. I feel like I would have heard the same quality attending a high school orchestra concert. I would not pay $230 for this again. The final fantasy concert cost half of that to sit up close and blew this orchestra and choir out of the water. It was night and day in quality.

This is the third time I have seen the Symphony of the Goddess. The paramount theater was a cool venue for it, although they mic-ed more instruments than I am used to (which lead to occasional microphone bumping that pulled you out of the moment). Overall, this performance had one of the best programs of the three I had seen - including new Breath of the Wild music. Definitely a great evening.

I got this as a gift for my husband since we are both Zelda fans. This was what I was expecting and more. The symphony was honestly breathtaking and it captivated you so much that the time just flew by. I hope it comes back soon as this would be an event I go to multiple times.
