Art Laboes show was awesome . All the performers were great and the ending with zapp was a great ending. They had the whole room up and dancing and enjoying there nite. I would definitely recommend this show to other people. I am so happy I was able to attend this show.

I loved the entire show! Art Laboe was fabulous and very interactive throughout the whole show. Loved that he would have different outfits every time he came out on stage. Hope he still gets to do shows like this for a long time. Loved all the performers, it was a blast.

My mom and I had a blast! The music was great, and everyone was dressed so sharp! They did have some troubles with the mic sound in the beginning, but the show kept on going! I hope Art does another one here in Las Vegas, so I can do it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The show was wonderful! I attended with my 16 year old daughter who happens to love Art Laboe! I have been listening to his show for years and my mom has been listening to him since the 50's. We will definately go to the show the next time it's in Las Vegas, and I think that it should come to Vegas every year! Fantastic time and great music!! Thank you Art Laboe!!

Great music and performers! Though I do think they could have done a better job on the surround system. Poor set up! They were constantly working on it during the concert. I think these are things that should have been tested prior.

The Concert was outragous....My wife and I saw Art Laboe Show two times last year, but this time we took our daughters, a 11 year old and a 5 year old and even kids at this age can enjoy music from way back when. They both loved it. This was their first concert of many more to come.And the Orpheum Theater was very nice.

It was an okay show. The sound was terrible and my seats sucked for the price. I didnt know who the artist were going to be because the lineup wasnt listed anywhere. Our view was interrupted constantly by the seat ushers with lights and people standing on the stairs. Many of those times we couldn't see. There was a injury during the show, lots of jumping over seats and people were in others seats and in the wrong sections. People were smoking in front of us and no one stopped them. I purchased tickets for myself, husband, and two out of town friends who were very disapointed. The only good thing that I can say is that the voices that I could hear were GQ and the delfonics and they were great. Thats why I gave 2 stars.

I went to an oldie concert at universal studios, a few years back. The bands were awesome this time it was just alright for me, would have love to see some other bands, ie manhattans, mc magic. Bottom line it would be my last oldie concert I go to. Good luck art...

I love oldies, but this concert was not good. Zapp was headliner and played for maybe 15 minutes. Did not play many of their hits and played more of a melody of about 4-5 of their songs. Very disappointing!

I was very disappointed. I paid more for the floor plan and thought that the last row on floor plan wouldn't be too far. I was WRONG. It was too far back and I couldn't see the stadium because EVERYONE WAS STANDING WHEN THEY SHOULD OF BEEN SEATED. VERY INCONSIDERATE CROWD FOR THE PEOPLE BEHING THEM.

The performers were great! Very disappointed in the sound. The speakers were only facing in front of the stage. My seats were to the side so I had a hard time hearing. Good thing I knew songs by heart. I understand I had one of the cheaper tickets and figured I just wouldn't be able to see the performers as good as the more expensive tickets. But I couldn't see them or hear them very well. I made the best of my time.

I had attended 3 other Freestyle Explosion events within the past few months and by far this was the best one. The venue was great. The acts were on point. The crowd was awesome. The downside... $20 parking, but everyone was tailgating and that was good.

Musci was great Stevie B was great except the music overpowered the song/words. Expose was awesome. Lisas Lisa was good, toobad she had an injury. Shannon I thought could be better. Trener was really good...overall a real well put together event as far as Artist are concerned. Would have loved an opportunity to meet & greet, pictures and/or autopgraphs and maybe purchase a CD.

Stacey Q. Could of sang her best songs. She only sang 2of hearts.She started off w the least heard. Trinere had no complaints she still has it going on w her sexy hip moves. Love her! Shannon was good a lil loud but gotta love her. Debbie Debb was the Best of them all. She got our hearts bumping and grooving to her beats! Lisa Lisa was the shooot! Lovely Lisa! Stevie B gotta love him. He is my King if FreeStyle Oh and my favorite Connie she still got it too. Overall the show was great. There was too much smoke and it volume was to high. The 92.5 Art Laboe Freestyle Concert was one of the best concerts I've been to!! I grew up listening to Lisa Lisa and The Cult Jam, Stevie B, Expose, Debbie Deb and so on!! The artist line up was perfect! Since the minute the show started, my cousin and I were on our feet dancing and singing. We were both in sweat by the end of the show. To me that equals, Good time!! I truly hope that the Frestyle Concert Show comes back to San Diego next year! Thank you 92.5 and Art Laboe for putting on such a great concert. It really took me back to my cassette days. The only negative thing I will say, the parking fee of $20 was pretty steep and $14 cocktail drinks were way too much!! Predrinking in the parking lot was the thing to do...

Sound system sucked. Where I was sitting voices sounded all muffled. Although their were speakers located above our seats, they were not turned on. Seemed like sound was only being heard by the ones on the floor. It took a little while to try & listen to make out the song. Although the performers were pretty good, I would have really enjoyed it if I could make out the lyrics. I could not understand a word that Art Laboe was saying. Sound should have been tested beforehand so that clarity could be heard throughout. Sound sounded better in corridor. Stevie B was the only one who was clear, probably because he had a live band. I wish my experience would have been better, so disappointed!

POSITIVE: Art Laboe is awesome, the artist performing were awesome (especially The Originals) NEGATIVE: People drinking and smoking pot in the parking lot before the event, people smoking pot INSIDE the venue, there was at least one fight during the concert, loud and obnoxious people seated around us causing distraction, the sound (coming from speakers) need to be adjusted music too loud/singers could not be heard clearly

I was a bit skeptical when it came down to it but in the end everyone minded their business and just grooved to the amazing music. My favorite, and the reason i bought tickets, was Amanda Perez. Her voice is amazing and her performance was beyond anything i expected.

i had a nice time enjoyed the music, san mauel amphiteater was nice, workers were helpful, but i would have like more oldies in the second half of the show. i really love the peaches and herb, harold melvin and the blue notes, sly, slick and the wicked and the rest of the oldies groups.

I really enjoyed the line up... all the performers did a great job. The songs bring back some awesome memories. Was glad to see Josefa...however, Jimmy Reyes was missed. Cant wait for next year! Would have liked to upload pictures...but they are on my facebook page/cell phone.

Art Laboe is legendary.As the emcee,in between bands he came out in a different color suit, and he is a legend, and an easy going gentleman Loved all the bands except Tierra. Tierra pretty much stunk. They're the last to play, so you'all can leave early if you want, they weren't that good. Most of the bands had just one good song, and that's OK. They played it well.Their other songs , well, you know.... The best in my opinion was GQ and also Bloodstone. These two rocked! and Bloodstone was fantastic, especially loved the saxophone in "You're still a young man".GQ and Bloodstone played after the intermisssion. GQ opened with 'Let's Get It On' ,he(only 1 guy left in GQ) did a real upbeat version which was better than Marvin Gaye the original artist He also played the lead guitar, and was superb. Since it was valentine's wkend, there was two separate onstage marriage proposals, unknowst to the ladies being proposed to.That was interesting , and the crowd cheered.

The concert was a great concert. I usually go every time they have a oldie concert becasue they are so unforgettable and I love them. I hope they continue to have more concerts like that in the future. It was worth the money we spent and it last a long time which was also good.

I can't begin to say what great time we had. My friend and I haven't taken any time off in the past year and a half. This was an awesome night :-) All the music was fantastic. It even made my friend get up and dance. He NEVER dances.....So thanks Art, can't wait to do it again! !

Overall the event was okay...had a pretty good time until mc magic came out. I went there to see old schools legend and this clown comes out and played like 12 songs that all sound the same. I was there to hear "real" music not that auto-tune crap. Literally ruin my night, could"t even enjoy Zapp and they were performing their "butts" off.

Everything was good, but the rap Artist!! The talent(women) he brought with him was good. I just didn't like how it dd t go along with the old school genre that brought me to the concert.

Honestly, I haven't been to a concert since ... "Fresh Fest 1984". This year I decided since I was starting a "NEW EVERYTHING ... relationship included" that maybe we should bring in the new year together at an Art Laboe Concert. Man, let me tell you ... it was an amazing night! This was our first together and now we've decided, we aren't missing any in the future! Looking forward to going to the Freestyle Concert in June!! THE PERFORMERS WERE GREAT! I ESPECIALLY LIKED ZAPP, THE ORIGINALS, AND ROLLS ROYCE. BARBAR MASON, HEART WAVE, EVELYN CHAMPAGNE KING WERE ALL GOOD. MARGO WAS OKAY. MC MAGIC WAS GOOD FOR THE FIRST 30 MINUTES, BUT HE WENT ON, AND ON, AND ON. I REALIZE HE BROUGHT IN A LOT OF THE YOUNGER CROWD. THE ORIGINALS SHOULD HAVE BEEN LATER IN THE PROGRAM.

Evelyn Champagne King was fantastic! She had it going on. Me and my date enjoyed Barbara Mason too! The only issue I have is that MC Magic should e the opening act, instead of him performing before Zapp (who was late).

I have so much respect for Art Laboe. He's helped keep this wonderful music alive throughout the years. The show was tremendous. Watching Heatwave and Rose Royce sing those old jams was incredible! Barbara Mason, Evelyn King, the Originals - that's real music! And of course, Zapp to bring the show home. All around great show. HOWEVER, MC Magic almost single handedly killed the show! His set was WAAAY to long and his constant hawking of his CDs, T-shirts, autographed photos was so tacky and classless. In a show that included such oldies luminaries as the Originals and Barbara Lewis, it seemed like MC Magic was just trying to cram as many like sounding "songs" of his down our throats in an effort to sell as many CDs as possible out in the lobby after the show. I mean, seriously, it felt like his set was three times as long as everyone elses. The next time, keep him out of the show or otherwise have him lead off so I can spend my time in the lounge drinking while he is boring everyone to death.

The Valentines Super Love Jam Concert was a compilation of incredible talent and entertainment. Art did a great job hosting. Memorable performances were Rose Royce, Heat Wave and Evelyn Champagne King - rocked the house with her dancing and singing. There was one act that stole the night and that was MC Magic (and Sophia). His stellar entrance, talent and genuity captivated the crowd and kept them moving. The fact he captured the audience's hearts by singing slow jams and songs we could relate to; he stayed beyond the performance as due diligence to his fan base and signed autographs and took pictures. Phenomenal artist with an awesome heart!
