It was ok, I was expecting it to be better because of all the hype. Typical Southpark episode, even had a fat kid that talked funny.

The venue was nice, but seating was cramped. The cast did an amazing job, and TBoM was overall entertaining, but definitely has a song that made me regret coming.

My daughter and I finally got to see this fantastic play, and it was worth the wait and the Saturday summer traffic in the city. We enjoyed every minute of it and laughed from start to finish. The three starring performers were top notch, but so was the entire cast. We loved this show, the cast, the music, and would see it again. Thank you to everyone involved!

This was my second time seeing it and it was even more entertaining than the first. The actors matched the characters well and put on a good show.

I gave tickets as a gift to my son. They had a great time and love the show.

The entire play was great, my friends and I enjoyed the entire evening. It was so good, we laughed all night and we are still talking about the evening.

I have wanted to see this show for ages. Finally took my two adult daughters. We all laughed until we cried!!! The depiction of the pasty white Mormon man on his mission was spot on!!! I once worked with a Mormon man that looked and acted just like that!!! So many levels of truth and hilarity I will have to see it again!

If you have a dark, crude sense of humor, then you'll certainly enjoy this show! It pokes fun at alot of aspects of the Mormon religion, homosexuality, atheism, and race. I sat in the rear mezzanine close to the back amd I still had a great view of the show, not a bad seat in the house!

Not what I expected, did not like the show on many levels. Enough said!

I loved it! I have lived in NYC for over 10 years and have seen many plays in that time. I can easily say this was one of the most entertaining plays I have ever seen.

Waited a long time to see this show. Wished I hadn't waited. Definately one of the funniest shows out there. Recommending it to anyone who needs a good belly laugh. Be open minded and you won't regret it!

I thoroughly enjoyed this clever musical, but it will never play in Utah. The play skewers the Mormon religion and while I do not condone ridicule or derogation of others, this musical is so clever and amusing that you simply cannot help but laugh and applaud. I would recommend it with reservations, and that is why I have given it four stars instead of five.

First it was hard to understand what they were saying and then they spoke about raping a baby.

I'm not sure what I am most upset by. The offensive nature of the play, the below grade juvenile humor, the lack of credibility in the actors or the fact that I had to walk out at intermission because I couldn't take another minute of the show. Notwithstanding, this was a birthday gift for my sister and I paid over $450 to have great seats. That's a lot of money to throw out and a birthday present that was not enjoyed.

The performance by the actors was phenomenal, it was the content I didn't care for. I should have done more research before purchasing.

We won a lottery to buy 2 of the "last minute" tickets. They were cheap (for shows anyways), $74 for the pair, but box 1 row A. The seats were so restricted view it was not worth it. The show was funny & songs were good.

If you are easily offended this is not the play for you. Otherwise put aside the political correctness and be prepared to laugh hysterically.

This was such an unexpected pleasure. I went in there hearing that the show was good, but having no details, I was blown away! What a joyful and irreverent ride! We laughed throughout the show, and were still buzzed by it hours/days later! Thank you!

Probably the funniest and most engaging show I've seen in years. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Fantastic songs, lyrics and performed extremely well. I've not heard an audience respond with such sincere appreciation as I did for this show. Highly recommend. The only hesitation is that it's really pretty crude in some points (ok a lot of points), but it only adds to the hilarity!

Hilarious thru out the whole show. 2.5 hrs flies by...BUT the mezzanine seats have less leg room than coach airplane seats. My knees hit the back of the seat in front of me and I m 5 2 . I didn t care because the show was so fun.

This was my second time seeing the show (I saw it years ago when it first opened). I loved it just as much the second time! The songs are fabulous (I had a hard time not singing along)! The lyrics and shockingly funny and the cast was beyond unreal. A great mix of dancing (turn it off featured an amazing tap dance number), singing (salt lake-a-city), and a hilarious book (Butt F ing Naked)! Great show for anyone who won t be offended by some of the lyrics!

please go see this production if you are in NYC. Great show if you don't take life to seriously, meaning there is some bad language and not offended with the religious part of the Mormon church. It's all in fun. Great singing and pretty good dance moves. we were up front on the 4th row on the left side. Wonderful seats. Heck, every seat looked good. oh, gorgeous theater inside. Must see !!

Loved this play!!!! In true South Park style they make fun of everyone. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it goes a bit too far in its foul language . It is not a play for everyone .

The show's actors were extremely talented. Every word was clearly enunciated and I could understand the songs' themes during singing. I laughed from start to finish. Even without full knowledge of the Mormon religion, I was able to catch most of the jokes. Those I didn't my daughter explained to me. It was a memorable and fantastic afternoon of enjoyment with my daughter!

My son introduced me to the music and we just went to see the show on Broadway. It was better than I ever expected. The rest of our family had no idea what was coming and they absolutely loved it. 10 out of 10 and I will see it again when it comes to my area on tour.

I expected this to be a great show and it was. The dancing was tight and fast. Fabulous choreography. Elder Cunningham steals the show with his comedic timing and physical acting. Elder Price is also a natural star. The entire cast shines. You will not be disappointed with any seat in this theater as the venue is small. It is one of my favorite theaters. The celestial scenery and backdrop were very beautiful. Don't miss this show!

Hello! I m Elder Patrick. I want to share with you the most amazing play. Based on promos, I always assumed the play would be a goofy comedy. I would have never been able to guess the plot. The Book of Mormon is a combination and contrasting elements of really dark, obscene, and cheery. It is definitely a play for adults only. The play flows with witty, deliberate plot, dialogue, and musicals numbers. While the storylines may seem unconnected, the play culminates with a brilliant conclusion that links together everything. The Book of Mormon is a comedy definitely pokes fun of the Mormon religion but also religion in general although in a play ful way that does not demean true believers.

I loved it. The show is funny. Warning if you are offended by language or anything not the show for you. I laughed the whole time.

I will start this review by saying I am NOT a Broadway musical fan (in fact this is only my 2nd Broadway show EVER and I am 45 years old) , but Book of Mormon was THE greatest live performance ever!! I am a huuuge South Park fan and it was like watching a 2 hour live action episode! The story , songs, acting, directing, sets, and EVERYTHING was perfect!! I loved the venue as well, staff was helpful and friendly. EVERYONE that enjoys South Park, dirty humor, and has an open mind about religion MUST see this!! I brought my son and he loved it too!

I waited 7 years to see the show. I've tried the lottery during previous trips, but didn't win. So I finally planned this as an event for my latest journey to NYC in late January. I was disappointed. The directors need to return and check out the current quality, tightening it up. Many jokes didn't land, as if the cast was just going through the motions. I understand performers and shows can have off-nights: that was the performance I saw. The current Cunningham went from normal to manic without any logical transitions between those moments. Nabalungi is the heart of the show, and her performance lacked heart. She sang the hell out of her Act I song, but didn't *ACT* it. That's the first time I haven't applauded a performance since "Full Monty" at the same theatre. (maybe it's the O'Neill???) As a gay man, I was disappointed to find McKinley the least gay-seeming of all the Mormons onstage. And yes, I get the intention of the Mormons in the show being theme park-happy, but the result with the current performers (not McKinley) undermined "Turn it Off". Of all the actors onstage that night, the best performance belonged to the General (great work!), with Price coming in right behind him. I hope the directors and choreographer return to give this long-running show a tune-up.

We made the trip out to Broadway from Colorado to see this show. It was worth every penny. Loved it!

this musical is next to Hamilton the greatest musical I haven seen. it has fun and charisma and most of all super melody songs that stick immediately to your head. It might be expensive but it's totally worth it. I would go a second time if I was still in NY.

I've heard many great things coming into the show, listened to the soundtrack a few times but was still blown away. The singing and acting were top notch. The scenery was amazing as well. Some songs were so well choreographed and put together. I thought with original cast gone, that this cast wouldn't be as great but they shattered all my expectations.

It has been a while that we have gone to the theatre as a family (my kids are in college and my step son is in high school) and it was really important to me that everyone was happy. All five of us loved this show. It is extremely irreverent, which is definitely off putting to some, but it is never mean or demeaning. Lots of great singing, a bit of dancing, and plenty of well executed humor made this a hit. Afterward, we were all talking about going again.

I love comedy musicals, my favourite being Avenue Q, and people have been singing the praises of Book of Mormon for years now, so we finally decided to buy some full price tickets (discounts still aren't really an option for BoM) and off we went. The acting and the music was the tip top level you expect from a hit Broadway show. However I found the show itself kind of blah. There were a couple of laugh out loud moments but it was nowhere near as funny as I'd been led to believe. Also the theatre is a bit of an odd one - if you're at the sides of the Mezzanine or sitting on an aisle, try to investigate specifically what your seat will be like - some are at weird angles and some like mine (first row of mezzanine, aisle seat the right hand side block) have reduced foot space, which sounds weird but legitimately the floor is tapered so my right foot just had to just kind of dangle there (I'm tall though). Also there is no disability access to the Mezzanine. In general I'm glad I saw it once but I'm not going to rush back or download the soundtrack anytime soon.

Terrific cast with beautiful comic timing. Hilarious songs and moments throughout! Not for the faint of heart, as one would expect from a musical from the minds of the creators of "South Park"! Raunchy and vulgar, but with enough warmth, humanity, and even an uplifting message to balance it out.

Similar to South Park in those redemptive moments that are mired in a sea of laughs, sarcasm and irreverent truthiness. We don't often say this after a Broadway show, but 'we want to see it again." Loved the lead actors, it's a high-energy show; the audience was great too, very engaged with a full-house standing ovation!

I thought the play was very funny, but was quite shocked at the vulgar language used throughout the play..it was unexpected, but definitely made the play even funnier when it was tied to a song and performed as a chorus. I did happen to see a few children in the theater, but did not see any warning signs posted, advising that the show is adult themed, and contains language and visuals that may not be suited for young children. The show reminded me of the humor/sarcasm you would find on the animated cartoon shows South Park and Family Guy, and I later discovered that the play was actually written by the creators of South Park! The show ended with the entire audience giving a standing ovation.

We loved our evening with Book of Mormon, it was light, funny, and very entertaining!

...in fact, more than i expected. it was enjoyable from the first trumpet blast to the last appeal to give to the broadway performer aids fund as we exited the theater. as previously mentioned, i could not have enjoyed it MOREmon... and you can make BOOK on it.

I had no idea going in what the play was really about. I just heard it's funny and a little raunchy! I was laughing the entire time and now I wanna see it again should it come out to LA. Everyone was so amazing! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF IT! If you have not seen this-- you are missing out.

I'm a huge fan of South Park so I was really looking forward to this show. I'm not a big Broadway fan, but this show I absolutely enjoyed and will definitely go see it again. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Had me laughing from beginning to end.

Loved this show, the singing and dancing were great, the principal actors--Nic Rouleau and Christopher John O'Neill-- were perfectly cast. Lots of laughs, guffaws. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the humor can be very off-color/offensive to some people-- they talk about genital mutilation and clitorises. Think South Park sense of humor.

Maybe this just wasn't my thing but I didn't enjoy this show at all. I felt the poor language went on too much and took away from the show. The performances were average for Broadway and didn't match the ticket price. The theatre is beautiful but seats are really cramped which didn't help the experience. I love a Broadway show but this was very disappointing all round and was my first bad experience.

I expected to see a funny south park-esque show, and though the tone was very similar I got way more than I was asking for. Loved it! Must see.

Honestly, it was well done and I loved the characters. However, the first part was a little boring and I felt like it dragged on. The 2nd part was great! Very funny! Overall, not a bad show but I didn t think it lives up to its hype.

Book of Mormon was laugh out loud funny! Arnold stole the show ~ he was great. There is no bad seat in the theater. It is not at all PC so if you are expecting that I wouldn't go. It is very entertaining.

My Grandson picked out this play and I am glad he did. The Actors were great and soooo talented had such high energy. The music and vocals were amazing! The play was so funny although some of the subject matter was pretty racy, but we were aware of this before we purchased the tickets (we were given a warning on the web site before ordering tickets) The Book of Mormon was the Highlight of our trip !

Great musical. Very hilarious ! It was a twisted view of the traditional Mormon church.

Bought tickets in orchestra center row k and paid a premium. The floor is almost flat so I could not see most of the stage because the view was blocked by the head of the person in front of me. Show had great singing and dancing but most language was vulgar. Could have been a great show if not so offensive and crass. Don't waste your money and definitely don't take the children.

Very funny take on religion. Cast was fantastic and we laughed so much! Great venue - second row seats were perfect. So glad we finally went to this show - checked another item off bucket list.

This is the funniest Broadway show I ve ever seen. It is one of the funniest shows of any sort I ve ever seen. I have never laughed so hard so often. My wife and two daughters (15 & 17) loves every second! The Best!!!!!!!!

I saw on Broadway a few years ago, and just saw again June 17. It is still great, maybe better than ever! Really first rate singing, acting, dancing, and comic timing. I love this show, the message of examining faith, looking deeper at the meaning of mission work, respect for all people, pursuit of personal greatness cloaked as church work, and the cost to people in need who can be lost in the conversion head count, and are then left behind with all the problems they had before plus some new ones. But even without the message, this show is a couple of hours of world class performances to enjoy and admire.

First you have to know this is super adult entertainment! Words and gestures! Ok with that said WOW such a great show and it s 7 year Broadway run proves it. The caliber of singing, dancing & acting is tip top. I was totally engaged in the proformance and loved loved the ending but was sad the show was over.

I would not have gone to this show had I been made aware that it made fun of religion inlcuding God and Jesus, much as I agree that many aspects of religion make dubious sense. The show should have a warning that it may offend. Also the comedy was too much slapstick - more like suitable for teenagers except there was also sexual rudery (deinitely only suitable for adults). It was close to watching Benny Hill! I am surprised by the rave reviews I have seen.

Won't be playing Salt Lake City any time soon. Really mocks Mormons. Liberal use of the F word, but from the creators of South Park just to be expected. But outrageously laugh out loud gut busting funny. The funniest play I have ever seen. You just never know what's coming next. You just sit there and say - OMG did they just say that, did they just do that! Almost indescribable. Must see it for yourself.

This was a father's day present for my husband. I did not know what to spect. What a blast, hilarious, funny! The play & cast were outstanding. LOVE TO SEE IT AGAIN

Clever and witty words, only topped by the delivery from this group of performers. Orchestra was superb and in perfect sync with the players. And the singing was beyond amazing. Thank you for a great show. We would have gone back for a repeat performance had we only one more day!

This was my second time seeing The Book of Mormons because it was literally the best play I've ever seen. The dialogue is funny, witty and clever. There is so much going on, that I noticed so many different things the second time around that I hadn't noticed previously. Absolutely hysterical - a must see on Broadway!

The show was all right, amazing voices, directing and attention to detail. Lacking in the deeper meaning, in my view--somehow I was expecting more from a Tony winner...

Amazing musical!! You don t want to miss this! The seats are small, but the show is so good that you would forget that at all. Unforgettable musical!

I was engaged from start to finish. The songs and dance routines were funny and captivating.

We enjoyed the show so much. The music was great. The costumes were perfect. The singing was fun and the actors were awesome. I haven't enjoyed a Broadway event like this in quite a while. I keeping singing songs from it in my mind and out loud over and over again.
