Witty, with the times we are in even with news that morning and the location he was in he had jokes for that.

My husband and I went to go see Jim Gaffigan and had a fantastic time! The Majestic theater is absolutely beautiful; it was such a treat to attend a show there. All Staff members that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Bartender William was extremely nice! And of course Jim Gaffigan put on a great show, as usual! We really enjoyed his opener as well, but unfortunately I cannot remember his name.

Just thrilled to see him in person! The Majestic is always great. His opener was great. Jim is a delight taking everyday life and putting his spin on it with awesome results. Love his clean comedy and droll take on even the tragedies of his life (so glad Jeanie is doing well). He is just a fun guy you d love to be friends with. Love that he included San Antonio in the fun!

Thanks for coming to Southern Louisiana to perform! Glad I went, great combination of new and old material.

Loved the show, laughed hysterically from the opening act thru the last minute Gaffigan was on stage. His point of view is hilarious.

Gaffigan is as funny in person as his comedy specials on TV. If he comes again with new material, then I will definitely attend.

After seeing this show i have one thing to say: Jim Gaffigan is my new hero!! Omg, this show is show fricking amazing. I couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard. The person i was with was crying from laughter. Jim was able to incorporate rude audience member's comments into his show to change the whole meaning of this person's comments. It was great. I am already looking forward to the next time he comes near my area!!!

Jim Gaffigan is one of the funniest persons I have seen. From start to end, it is non-stop stomache hurting laughing that never gets old. I have heard him talk about hot pockets for years, yet I laugh just as hard every time. I will continue seeing him whenever he is in the area.

My husband never laughs and he laughed non-stop at Gaffigan's comedy. Gaffigan is a great comedian and the venue was great at MGM Grand at Foxwoods. The only thing that would have made the evening better would have been if I had won the car at the progressive slot machine I was playing. Anyway, along with your Dad, "We love you Jim!"

I was happy to be back at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the first time since its renovation. The remodeled theater is very attractive and comfortable. Our seats were in a great location in the orchestra section. The audience was young and energetic. Gaffigan used some new and some familiar material. His delivery was great, and the jokes were laugh-out-loud funny throughout the performance. I never get tired of his "Hot Pockets" bit.

I just want to say I love love Jim Gaffian. He is awesome! The Theatre - Mahalia Jackson Theatre in New Orleans - acoustics were awful. I could not understand anything the first act said, and then I only could hear half of Jim Gaffigan. The only thing I laughed at was the jokes I already knew from watching him on TV. I thought I was lucky to be in first row - stage right, but it was the worst seat in the house.

This may have been fun for insiders but for those of us who had never seen this guy it was boring. Perhaps the poor audio and/or mumbling contributed.

Seriously, this thing had bacon wrapped in bacon in a Dominoes breadbowl with gravy. Amazing!

Not knowing who this person was, I was hesitant to go to the show. I am so glad I did! I have not laughed that hard and with tears in a while. He is funny without using foul language, which is basically unheard of in today's comedic venues. It is refreshing! He used everyday events and then topped it off with a side of inner-conscious dialogue as to what some audience members might have actually been thinking about what he just said. It was a little weird and different but in a good way.

Both very funny, glad we went. Recommend this show.

Our family had a great time and I laughed until I cried.

The opening and main acts were very funny and were a good value for the money we spent. I would recommend both acts to friends. However, the venue was horrific. It wasn't the venue's structure or seating it was how the venue handled entrance/ticket scanning, etc. The doors opened at 7 p.m. and at 8 p.m. when the show was to start, we were still ten minutes from entering. There were very long, very slow moving lines to get in. We had tickets on our phone however we saw folks that were waiting to pickup Groupon's that waited in line for thirty minutes only to be told they were in the wrong line.

Rapid-fire, non-stop laughter! Highly recommend Mr. Gaffigan s show... Bravo, sir!

Classic Jim Gaffigan but with all-new material. One of my favorite comedians of all time, and he most definitely lived up to the expectation. U.S. Bank also did a great job, as usual. Awesome arena and I ve seen plenty of shows there.

Great show, great facilities, lousy opening act. Lots of clean bathrooms, food offered was great. Bring opera binocs though for a comedy show.

This was just a fantastic evening and Mr. Gaffigan was as funny as ever. The opening comedian was great as well.

The venue: lines for food and beverages were crazy long. It took our party forever to get one drink a piece. The location was great-we were able to walk to our hotel and nearby restaurants/bars. Jim is funny. His opener was good too. Overall I guess I was hoping for a little more. We felt like it was pretty short and not as funny as we've seen on Netflix, YouTube, his specials, etc. we're still fans, this was just not quite what I was expecting. It was just short and sweet.

Show: Love this guy. To keep it short... He was more LOL with a few LMAO. Usually I'm ROTFL at his comedy. Perhaps lots politics given the time of year. I'd try him again though. Love his older skits more. Seats: Section - 101 , Row - L, Seat 1, Seat 2 Intimate setting. Go for orchestra. See attached image of 'view from my seat'.

Huh-lar-i-ous!!!! I saw him on my birthday and no better way to spend it laughing hysterically!!

First of all, I am deducting one star for the Wellmont's poor audience-management...not for anything related to the performances of either Ted Alexandro or Jim Gaffigan. There was only 1 hour between the earlier show and the show I took my daughter to see...and, people from the earlier show were taking their sweet time wandering around the theater lobby, having little chit-chats, etc. Instead of moving them out, the Wellmont security people let the prepaid audience for the next show queue up in a long line outside...where it was pouring rain with heavy winds. As a result of this, the show had to be delayed by 20 minutes, until everyone was in their seats. Also, the Wellmont is a 1920's (though fully-restored) vaudeville theater...with authentic period (i.e., 'small') seats and almost no leg room. Regarding the show itself, Ted Alexandro came out as the opening act. I had never seen him before, but he had a wry sense of humor that the audience connected to nicely. His whole demeanor is 'just-a-guy' (he's a former grammar school music teacher), and his jokes spun out of the kind of conversation you could have had with anyone. As a result, they kind of snuck up on the audience; and, you could feel yourself going from smile, to big smile to laugh-out-loud. Really enjoyed his set. Jim Gaffigan was...well...GAFFIGAN. His material was almost all brand-new, but still fit within his established tropes and characterizations. As such, he had the audience in its comfort zone from the first joke, and kept everyone smiling, giggling, laughing and roaring along the way. He (along with Brian Regan) is my teenage daughter's favorite comic, and this was her first-ever live comedy show. On all counts, I would highly recommend 'Fully Dressed' to any stand-up devotee...and, especially Gaffigan fans. Its a great routine.

Gaffigan did not disappoint! He rocked it! Coming out from the audacious smoke screen to immediately talk about his weight, his belt...so funny... Worth every penny, every bit of my time! I love the clean comic!

My family and I had a great time, the palace was beautiful, seating was great. And the show was fantastic .

Staff was very friendly, Jim Gaffigan was amazing as usual.

Jim's routine was great! I've seen televised acts of his, but being live was even better. Not only is his self-depreciating humor awesome, but his other subjects are spot on as well. Ted Alexandro, who opened for Jim, was a riot as well. Enough so, that I've gone to Comedy Central's website to view more of his acts.

My husband & I attended. This was the first time we'd seen him. We were impressed that he was on stage for an hour and a half and never uttered any profanity. Great show!

The warm-up act was actually pretty funny and a good choice. I would be interested in seeing more of his comedy as well. Jim's set was great, as usual. He continued with topics we expect from him (food, weight, family, current trends), and the material was basically family-friendly. I do love comics who work blue, but it's nice to hear not-so-raunchy things as well. He even ended on Hot Pockets! I was not expecting him to bring that one out!

Both Jim and his opening act were hilarious. Jim made me laugh the entire show, so much so, that my face hurt for awhile after. We LOVED him!

My kids have been huge fans of Gaffigan for years! That hasn't changed as they moved from their pre-teens and into their 20's. (Yes Jim, you are that old!) His humor is not only kid friendly, but adult friendly. He was at the Majestic in San Antonio, which if you havent been before, is a gorgeous venue, and he didn't disappoint! He was funny from open to close, which he did in true Gaffigan fashion with his trade mark "Hot Pocket" material. Loved it! His opening act was awesome as well!

Tons of new material, hilarious as ever, and an encore of his classics - Jim Gaffigan was the perfect anniversary date with my wife - we watched Beyond the Pale 9 years ago right before our wedding :). Thanks, Jim!

I was amazed that 13,000 people would pay so much money to hear a guy tell jokes for 70 minutes but we all did! I've been a big far of Jim's comedy since 2013 and couldn't wait to see him in person once I moved to NYC. He did a lot of new material and we were laughing the whole time. The encore was his hot pocket segment that we've probably all watched multiple times on Youtube, but he managed to add some new/different parts to it that was a nice surprise! There were 3 opening acts. The first guy was 20 min and excellent. The 2nd guy was 10 min and less funny. Then Jim's 5 kids came on stage and sang a song about their last name. "G-A-double F-I-G-A-N spells Gaffigan" which turned into a sing-along with words on the screen. Too cute.

Gaffigan is an Everyman or woman ;-) comic. His hysterical insights into everyday life make his humor appealing to everyone. While listening to his musings, I often times find myself thinking, "hey, I've always thought that too!" His high pitched voice as the audience's reaction is classic and bring another added dimension to his comedy. Bottom line- it's a Great show. You gotta see it. A mix of new and classic material will leave your sides hurting and your wallet satisfied that you got your money's worth.

Show was a little late starting at Hard Rock Live Orlando but no big deal. Opening act Ted Alexandro (sp?) was very good and Jim was very good as well, lots of laughs early but dragged to a close with the old Hot Pockets bit. No problem with Hot Pockets bit but it could have been left out and the crowd would have been ok with that since most if not all had heard the bit many times before. Also, no reference to Thanksgiving dinner OR bacon?! All in all, it was an enjoyable evening!

Jim was as funny as we expected. He's one of the only comedians I will go see live because I know he'll be clean and keep the bad language out. AND, I know I'll laught until I cry. I was delighted with Ted Allexandro, his opening act, as well. Super funny! I have a new comedian to follow. It was a great night out for my husband and our daughter & her husband.

Last year I took my son to Emimem and Riri at Ford field. This year for his birthday he wanted to see Jim Gaffigan. Talk about a 180! We were able to bring his 12 year old twin brother and sister too and make it a family night. Everyone had a great time and we love seeing shows at Meadowbrook because it's so close to home. Only downside was the volume on the mic was too low and hard to hear. Otherwise it was a perfect family evening.

So good laughed so hard, along with the opener. Hilarious. Will definitely buy tickets if he returns

I rarely go to comedy concerts, but Jim Gaffigan seemed worth the risk. Right from the beginning with his opener, Ted Alexandro, the laughing started, and at times, we were laughing until crying. Well worth the ticket price, and glad Gaffigan finally made his way to Santa Barbara!

Both Jim and the Ted (the comedian before him) were unforgettable. They both had my girlfriend and I tearing at the eyes. Jim and Ted both made the experience a night to remember. Everyone overlooks certain comedians, and asked me who's Jim? Well, he's the best comedian ever! And his lack of curse words makes it a perfect experience for younger teens as well. The bottom line is, GO SEE JIM! It'll be completely worth it!

First time seeing Jim live-you must go see him! Had lots of new material and some of his classics.

Great night! First dinner at Orange Sky (best steak I've ever had in Phoenix). Jim was hysterical! He performed familiar, funny work as well as new life stories! His opening act was also funny. It was a perfect night...minus the rain! His manatee voice snuck into some of his stories!

As usual, Jim Gaffigan was very funny. You can't beat a summer night spent at Meadowbrook laughing so hard. I felt it was shorter than usual. He usually comes back out for an encore, and I was disappointed that he didn't do that.

He did a lot of new stuff with some of his classic material, as well as mixing in some cultural jokes for us Minnesotans. His opening comedian was really good too.

My cheeks hurt after the show, which is always a good thing when it comes to comedy shows! The only critique I have is having to hear the hot pocket joke again - which is great and what he's known for but could've done without it even though he did throw in a couple of new jokes related to it. Otherwise, the show was hilarious! Loved the bits on weddings and ranch dressing, hahaha! Thanks Jim! Can't wait til your next show :-) Rock on !

Jim Gaffigan was awesome! I love that I can take my older kids to see him and have a great family night! We traveled from Dallas to St. Louis to see him and it was well worth the trip!

And you can even take your kids. I took my 14 year old daughter to see Jim Gaffigan at the Sovereign Center for Performing Arts. She loves his specials on Netflix. Jim did not disappoint! I heard material I had never heard before as well as classic Gaffigan hot pockets to close. Afterward, Jim came out to sign copies of his book "Dad is Fat" and he signed my daughter's book. On the way home, she looked at what he wrote and bubbled over with laughter and happiness: To Hannah My Best Friend Jim Gaffigan" I can't thank Jim enough for the special night he gave to my daughter and me.

This was my third time seeing Jim Gaffigan live and he didn't disappoint! He was fantastic as always and I couldn't stop laughing. Then i was able to get his book signed by him after the show and talk to him and he was just so nice and funny. I totally recommend his show!

Jim Gaffigan is one of only (3) Clean comedians that I go to see. In the past he has used other comedians to open his show for him, which fine but they also used clean language. This time at the Chicago Theater on 04/20/2013. Jim used this person Hannibal to open his show. I did not like his language and content of his materiel. His excuse of using that language in front of children " Oh! they will hear it on the internet anyway" is just an excuse not to be creative enough not to use profanity in his act. I really don't think Jim would let Hannibal use that type of language around his (5) children. Hopefully, Jim will not use this type of comedian (Hannibal) the next time he is in Chicago.

I bought these tickets for my husband as a gift. We both enjoy Jim Gaffigan's humor, so I expected to be entertained. What I didn't expect is that we would be laughing the whole time from moment one. Between the stories about family and the jokes about "Hot Pockets" I don't think my husband and I stopped laughing once.

Love Jim Gaffigan. Never disappoints. Must see him live.

I see his shows on TV and have his specials on CD. Seeing him live was much different then watching him on my TV or hearing the CD. Definitely worth the $50!

So I have always been a huge fan of Jim Gaffigan. When I saw he would be playing in Denver, I flipped out and bought tickets the day they were available. I refused to watch Mr. Universe because I wanted to hear his new stuff fresh at the show. It was so hard not to click on it when Netflix would reccomend it to me! So a group of our friends all went. 3 of them have never heard of Jim Gaffigan so they had no clue what they were in for. The entire show, we were all laughing hysterically! Our friends who had never heard of him were in stitches! At one point I actually started gagging because I was laughing so hard! Jim is a great comedian and I love that his jokes are clean and he doesn't swear. It can really ruin a show when there are too many unnecessary swearing fits or just gross jokes. We all had a great time and can't wait until he comes back this way! BTW Buell Theater is a great theater and our seats were incredible!!

I have seen Jim live in Orlando as part of his Mr. Universe tour last year, and I must say, his new stand-up I saw this past weekend was just as exciting and hilarious! Much of his new material had me laughing on the verge of tears; even his improvised jokes targeting the audience were amusing. He brought so much energy, and I couldn't have asked for a better atmosphere of the theater. I am a huge fan of Jim Gaffigan and will definitely be attending his next tour!

Have seen Jim before and he delivered again except a manatee was sitting in front of me and I had to move my neck like a crab looking around the corner.

front row center, the best seats...although we couldn't sit in our seats until the opening act started... something about continuity because they were filming for a special. not a big deal and we went backstage afterward to enjoy a meet and greet!

DO NOT buy tickets for seats in row GG, seats 31, 33 and 35. I assume the seats are the same on the other side of the theatre. I paid full price $62.00, the same as everyone else. My son was crammed in the corner behind a balcony wall, there was NO leg room and I couldn't see half the stage, the balcony obstructed my view. There was no warning as to the limited space and obstructed view. I was very disappointed and felt bad for my kids, they were excited to go this historic theatre. Fortunately, the Jim Gaffigan show was great and took our minds off the seats, however, our backs hurt after the show.

This was my husbands and I first comedy show and we were not sure on what to expect but nevertheless, we had a wonderful time! Glass and Gaffigan were hilarious and we laughed pretty much the whole time. The seats were nice and at a reasonable price ( we bought ours about 3 weeks before the show). You felt good after you left the theater. A must see and we will defiantly do it again.

The show was awesome. I've seen all of his televised stand-ups and this show had all new material, which was a huge plus. I would definitely recommend going if you are a fan of Jim Gaffigan.

This is a MUST SEE (clean) comedian!!! He was absolutely HILARIOUS literally from beginning to end. I had tears coming down my face for the majority of his set. Way better than Seinfeld (& Seinfeld is no slouch). Seriously he is as good, if not better than ANY comedian that curses every 5 seconds. I can't wait until he is in the NYC area again..I'm as good as there!!

Jim Gaffigan was strange AND wonderful, just like I knew he would be. Appearing on stage in the too tight skinny jeans was hilarious, and set the stage for his self-deprecating humor. It amazes me how funny he is and without vulgarity. I'm not against vulgarity, but it takes more work to be funny and still appeal to everyone, from tween to geezer.

The show was great. Sat 3rd row for Jim Gaffigan. He was hilarious and his opener was great too.

Jim Gaffigan is a pro. I laughed so hard my cheeks hurt. He did a great job of telling some jokes about our home state, which is fun. The seats were awkward and uncomfortable. Had to turn my head sideways the entire show so now have a stiff neck. The opening act (can't remember name) was also funny and perfect timing. At least they served beer.

Jim was great -- funny and kept the stories flowing.. I will say that we all felt that the show ended very strangely -- Difficult to know whether it was an intended ending or he had some sort of issue that required him to get done very abruptly.. Ending did take away a 5 star rating..

I've never seen a comic live in a setting larger than a nightclub, so I was very impressed with how the SNHU Arena took more than half of a hockey arena and made it the same atmosphere as a theater. The opener, Ted Alexandro, was great as he had very similar style of humor to the headliner, Jim Gaffigan. There's a reason why Jim Gaffigan has such a huge following: He's clean without being lame, and topical without getting divisive. Most of his comedy is rooted in what he correctly assumes is most people's inner monologue in relatable situations (He is also tends to be limited in his moving about the stage, which was bad for my wife and I because our seats placed a PA speaker in front of him for most of the show, but the monitors worked okay, so it wasn't too bad. I also realized that we were two of about ten people in the venue for whom this was a problem). The new material was very funny, only a few jokes were not fantastic. I would've liked if he had more jokes about food, as it is Jim's bread and butter (no pun intended). The entire arena was loving that he included an updated Hot Pockets routine that had me laughing so hard that I cried.

I just love Jim Gaffigan's sense of humor. He's so funny. His show on Saturday was just as good as I expected. Even his opener was really funny too.

Gaffigan is an outstanding and hilarious comic. Incredibly talented, made us laugh. Opening act Ted Alexando was the best opening comedy act we have ever seen.

Jim was great! His opening act was really funny too. I was surprised at the use of shaking and jittery video though, which was supporting the event. They had 2 big screens showing the comedians during their performance and the whole time it made them look like they were bouncing and floating around on stage, like the camera was not anchored. At the same time the feed would go in and out. Pretty low quality for the amount of money spent on tickets.

I am a big Jim Gaffigan fan. I love the funny spin that he places on relate-able topics so I was excited for this show, "The Fixer Upper". I will say though, I was displeased with the amount of time he was actually on stage. The ticket said the event went from 8-10PM. Jim was on stage for approximately an hour and the event was over at 9:30PM.

Jim Gaffigan show was fantastic!! Jim proves that you don t need to be crude to be entertaining! A show that I could enjoy with my wife and kids!!!

The reason for my review has nothing to do with Jim. He was great. My complaint was with the venue. They have 2 large screens to display the show and if you are on the second tier like we were, the speakers block the center of the screens. Also the screens were going in and out so it seems like there was technical issue there. But I would have done 5 stars if we could have viewed the screens without the obstruction. The show itself was hilarious, love ya Jim. Also his opener Ted Alexandro was hilarious and I definitely try and catch his shows going forward.

We've watched all of Jim's shows on Netflix, and we were excited to see him live for the first time. He did not disappoint. With other comedians, it seems they get a little less funny each time they come out with new material, but that is not the case with Jim. In fact, this show seemed more consistently funny and well paced than most of his previous recorded shows with the exception of "Mr. Universe." He even worked in a new and updated "Hot Pockets" bit at the end. Highly recommended for the whole family (we took our 14- and 13-year-old daughters and our ten-year-old son, and everyone had a blast, and we felt like it was pretty much appropriate for all of them.

Jim's show was fantastic! There was hardly a moment that we weren't laughing. He segued from very different topics seamlessly. If you haven't gone to a show with Jim Gaffigan, what are you waiting for?!

Hilarious- ab workout! New material and very relatable

!'m a huge fan of comedy, and I grow tired of so many comedians who think simply telling raunchy stories is comedy. Gaffigan is a master craftsman at writing jokes. His setups and phrasing are so tight, clever, and hilarious. He perfectly captures the essences of what makes his material funny. In fact, his jokes are so good, he doesn't need the crutch of being dirty - so it becomes a show where people like me can bring my whole family. There's a reason why he's one of the biggest comedians in the world right now. That reason is on full display at his shows. Amazing show! I can't wait to see him again.

Loved the show and got lots of laughs. The venue itself was only okay but the show I adored.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of Jim's new material. Having seen all of his specials I've enjoyed his work for many years. Because of that, I was really disappointed when Jim's entire encore was material that I've heard many times before and hasn't been updated.

Gaffigan was great! He is truly the full package when it comes to comedians. I drove 2 and half hours to see him and it was totally worth it!

Jim has a natural gift at comedy. We laughed non-stop for an hour and a half. What a great getaway from the stress of everyday life.
