The line up was amazing. The sound system was loud and clear. I had the greatest time.

The seats sucked obstructed view comfortable cushioned seats but the view sucked! Do not buy seats that are behind the stage no matter how cheap they are lol

It was an epic show just like I thought it would be. All the artists did their thing but Bone Thugs definitely stole the show.

the concert was excellent...everything was prepared perfect..i didnt give it 5 stars due to the fact that u couldnt smoke in there..but besides that i really enjoyed it...especially when dub c started c walking to "Gansta Nation"

The show was to start at 8. Cube came on about 11. We were on the floor and that was a lot of standing. When cube finally came on he was off the hook. He bought back a lot of the old school stuff. He looked and sounded great. The place was very crowed but there were no problems. I had a very nice time

I loved this show, he played everything you would want to hear. He looked amazing, he was fun, he kept the crowd going. I have wanted to see him forever and it never worked out until now. It was well worth the wait. DJ Crazy Toones and DUB C went off. He had the DJ Crazy Toones play hits from the 80's and 90's, then he would play his hit from that time. I felt like I was back in the day. I can't wait to see him again.

This concert was soo dope!!Cube did all the oldies!!Wc did 3 songs..turned it out.Always see ice cube when he comes 2 ur town..if not your missing out on hiphop royality. You will enjoy yourself, believe me. wc&cube doing the c walk. crazy tunes the dj always off the hook, hitting us with all the oldies!!omg this concert was the ish!!!! it didn't hurt that ice cube ,wc,crazy tunes are all cuties

i think the concert was great. All they need to do is put 'LiL Kim' on the roster and they would have sell outs.

The concert was well worth the ticket price. Dmx put on a good show and as usual Ice Cube was flawless. He is one of the only few hip hop artist from the 80"s that can still give a show and rock the crowd.

I liked the show, and lights but I was a bit disappointed at the artist, but it s old school so I understand how they couldn t keep up and out of breath. Method man and red man killed it though!!! The best part of the show

It was a good show, but 4 some reason every1 seemed in a rush or on a time limit. In my opinion the best 2 shows of the nite were performed by Method Man N Redman N also Bone Thugs N Harmony

Ice Cube ,Method Man & Redman, DJ Quik very entertaining. 2nd 2 None very nasty! Bone Thugs and Harmony ok, Warren G was irritating he needs to perfect his craft .Krupt was hott mess he needed Daz to help him out.

This was my third attempt at seeing Bizzy Bone and he was amazing. The entire show from beginning to end was great. The show started on time and there weren't any noticeable delays. Best concert I've seen with ice cube.

Very spacious venue, parking was horrible!!!! Next year I m just going to pay for VIP to avoid fighting with everyone at the end of the show. But overall the event was amazing!!! With an amazing lineup! The venues staff respectful staff!

Had a blast, second to none should have went on second. i had no clue how Stix was. Quik, always go his thing excellent selection of songs. Method man and Redman together is the best and Bone Thug (all five of them) was cool to see for a change. Now my man Cube, he banged out all his hits, which was cool but no guess appearances from NWA like he did on the "How the west was won tour". To The Forum, A double shot drink is not two drinks

Seeing my favorite rappers put me in a happy place that words can't describe! For me, Scarface, hands down! Truly The G.O.A.T.

This concert was one of the best rap concerts I have been to in a long time. Ice Cube,Scarface, and Bun-B killed it! Literally!! They definitely gave the people what they paid for and a lot time for each artist to perform! Outstanding concert/performance!!

This has to be the best show that I've seen. It stared on time, which is not the standard for Hip Hop shows honestly. My seats were great and we were treated to the energy of the West Coast artists mixed with the Hometown Flavor of the H-town acts. Great venue, great sound quality and great performances. Can't wait to see the 90's Block Party here in April..

My West Coast people still Rock , ICE CUBE is my favorite Rapper , And I hope they all come back to Houston Tx , I am from the Valley in California, Miss this music . I will Definitely be back when They come back I hope they bring Snoop Dogg.

This was my 1st time the Smart Financial! It's a beautiful place with excellent seating options. Will definitely be returning. The concert was an absolute Blast from the Past. Got my money's worth

Every performee was amazing! The venue was not the greatest! parking was hard to find! traffic everywhere! i missed the first two performances! by the time ice cube came out halfway through his performance a fight started and the show ended early. the little i was able to see of ice cube was still amazing! i recommend everyone to see ice cube just not at the queen mary!

All I can say is thanks for bringing real hip hop back.

This was the second time my sister and I saw Ice Cube. The show was sold out which made us glad that we got our tickets two months ago as well as VIP seating. The show was supposed to start at 7:30 but we were still standing outside of the venue at that time, and once we got in we had to wait for 2 1/2 hours before he came on, and no, there were no opening acts. About a half hour before he came on a fight broke out in the pit right below where my sister and I were seated at where beer, blood and fists were flying everywhere (sorry, didn't get pics or video of it, LOL). I expected this because it was taking way too long and there was no excuse to have a 7:30 start time and he did not come on until a little bit after 10:00, especially since there were no opening acts. But when he did come on he rocked it hard as well as Dub C, and took us back to all of his famous hits. Like in 2009 when I saw him for the very first time I danced hard and sung along to the songs since I knew the words to most of them. Ice Cube really knows his audience and what they like and that's what I like, however, he didn't sing my favorite Go To Church, like what he did the last time he was here. Nevertheless, it was a great show with the exception of the fights, weed smoking and regular smoking neither of which was allowed in the venue but it's what I expect when I go to shows like this, LOL. He also told us all in the audience that people were saying that he should retire but there is no way that a rap legend is gonna retire when he still has sold out shows! I just wish he didn't take that long to come on, but course when he comes back here I'll go see him again!

The House of Blues is rather small venue which makes for an "Up close and personal" experience! Albeit there wasn't an encore performance, Ice Cube played a great set to include tracks from his new album (and of course The Classic: Today Was a Good Day)! Our seats were in the 1st row center balcony and had a great vantage point of the show!!

Ice Cube really made his audience party! It was ALL about the music. No stage props like models, fireworks or any other unecessary crap, and didn't use an opening act. It was the best rap concert i've attended. He stayed true to his music fans and didn't show any "hollywood" crap. Even as a super star he still kept it 100% gangsta! I went with a group of 10 and we had such a great time and would not stop talking about it till a few days after. Ice Cube gave us so much more than the ticket was worth. Ice Cube is a true genius!!!

Show was packed! After all, the tickets were 35. The venue is small so u can pretty much see anywhere u stand. Had a club vibe (which means it was Fricking HOT in there) and the good majority was smoking weed. Show started at 8:30 Cube didn't come out til about 9:40-9:45. Sounds long but the music the DJ played while we were waiting was so good no one realized how long we were waiting. Felt like a club up in there. Cube came out and performed about and hour with WC. They performed about 18 songs. WC sang his new single. Ice Cubes 2 sons came out and performed a song with their dad towards the end. They are pretty good rappers. Cube always puts on a good show. He kept the crowd Hyped. U can tell he cares and appreciates his fans. He did a little bit of everything. He did music from NWA-Present. If your a Cube fan don't pass up a chance to see him. U wont be dissapointed. Everyone got along, no fights nothing! I gotta say that WAS A GOOD DAY! (I know this review is all over the place but i didn't wanna leave anything out LOL). *Laugh, Love, Live, Life, Go To A Concert*

I was in awh the entire time. He came out giving his all. This was my first time seeing him and I am now a new fan.

Pros I like small venues, I was able to see Ice Cube very clearly! The DJ was phenomenal! Dub C was a true hype man! The bling on Cube's converse!!! Cons Kille Mike's performance was not good! Marijuana smoke everywhere! Center Stage needs to do a better security check!

Regardless the numerous movies, TV shows, etc... Ice Cube has not forgotten his true roots!!!! He will forever be die hard Rap/Hip-Hop. I grew up with NWA and listening to them and the numerous other artists back then. That is when Hip-hop was a true art form, Gansta rap was at its best! There has not been anything like it since!!! What these people are calling Hip-hop today is a bunch of garbage for the most part, because they aren't really talking about nothing! Cube talked about real stuff, and I love that he hasn't changed and is still true to himself as one of the BEST who ever did it!!!

Man, we had a blast. I grew up listening to ICE Cube all the way back to the NWA dayz. I'm glad we didn't miss it this time. Thx.

Wow this has been 1 of the Best concerts I've been to. Ice Cube not only rocked the mic but he put on a good live performance. This show, I gotta say was the Greatest yet. I totally reccomend checking Cube out if you can. Thanks Ice Cube for a great Concert

This was my first time seeing Ice Cube in concert having been a fan of his music and movies for 19 years or so. I had tickets to his midnight show last year but decided at the last minute not to go and sold my tickets. He did not disappoint. He came out hard and rocked the house from beginning to end. I danced the whole time. I had a VIP table and that was definitely worth getting since the place was very crowded. He took us through the decades of his career with his hits as well as others. If he comes to your town, be sure to check him out!

After his sold out midnight show last year that I decided not to attend at the last minute, I couldn't wait for him to come back this year and he did. My sister and I got VIP table seating because we've been to HOB concerts before and always had General Admission. VIP was totally worth it and so was going to the show! I stood up the whole time once Ice Cube took the stage and danced the whole time that I was actually sweating! He performed all the good songs that I like and especially the old school songs, starting with the 80's to songs from today, by him and by other artists. I also like the fact that he thanked his fans for being there and said that we're the ones that keep him doing what he does. What I didn't like was that people were smoking cigarettes (which was not allowed) and weed (which is not allowed anywhere as we all know, LOL) and there were two cops just a few feet on the side of me and if I could smell it, I knew they could! You weren't allowed to take pictures but here are some for proof that the staff just didn't do their job. But oh well, I still had so much fun and will definitely go see him again!

For the number of acts on the lineup, not too bad in terms of time. But they did allow bone thugs more than their alotted time, which took time away from main act. Then, the sound was turned up to maximum for those two acts. That ruined the show, left with headache and pain in the ears.

Over all show was really good only thing I didn t like was the fact DJ Quick left the stage earlier than his allotted time and Red Man & Method Man where on there way to long lost my interest in show after they performed for so long

THE SOUND SYSTEM WAS TERRIBLE HENCE YOU COULDN'T REALLY HEAR THE WORDS SPILLING FROM THE ARTISTS. IT ALSO DIDN'T HELP THAT THE ENTIRE VENUE WAS TURNED INTO A WEED SPOT WHICH IN MY HUMBLE OPINION IS DANGEROUS TO ONE'S HEALTH. THOSE WERE PRETTY MUCH THE MAIN ISSUES THAT CAUSED ME NOT TO ENJOY THE SHOW AS MUCH. I PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE GONE TO SEE "SHEN YUN".

Set times were short it was still fun tho and there was too much weed in the air for an indoor venue

All the artists knew how to get the crowd going, it was my first time attending a concert at the Forum and i loved it. Security was a bit off the edge but i understand that people tend to do dumb things. Overall i really enjoyed myself and seeing artists that i grew up listening to on my cassette player back in the early 90's for the first time was awesome.

One of the best concerts I've attended in a while. No bad seating. Parking was convenient and departure was organized. Will attend future events here.

I ve gone to a lot of concerts in 2017, but this west fest was the livest one yet! I grew up in Cali, so to have so many Hip Hop legends grace the stage, especially from the west coast was a real treat! Ice Cube, the Dogg Pound, E-40, Too Short, DJ Quik, Bun B, Scarface, and Lil Keke. Talk about a lineup with no weak links! There was a lot of Cali gear being worn and Astros gear being worn, and the atmosphere was super festive! I ve gone to concerts before at smart financial center in which I was the only one standing up and dancing in my section. But that wasn t the case on this night. If people were sitting down, they were in the minority. Ice Cube s dramatic, west coast taking over the world video coupled with 2 balloons shaped in form of the west side sign was my favorite moment. Scarface was also a standout performer; he has complete command of the stage, and he knows how to captivate the audience ( almost like a Preacher). E-40 taking it back to 93 was a lit moment too. All the shows were great though! That California love and that classic Hip Hop from the 90 s has staying power!

This was our first time at this venue. Thankfully I wore tennis shoes because it was a nice trek from the parking lot to the venue. I didn't understand why the metal detectors were positioned outside. I am not sure if this was because the weather was pleasant earlier that day. But anyone who lives in Houston knows how quickly that could change. I brought a small clutch that was searched and permitted. I am not sure about larger bags. You are not allowed to bring any backpacks or drinks inside. The sound was good. The venue was not too dark that you had to feel your way around during breaks. This show was so awesome. The lineup was dope. The highlight of the show for me was Scarface's performance. He was presented with the GOAT award which was well deserved and long overdue. The event started promptly @ 6:30. The lineup included a lot of artists so we didn't get out of there until about midnight. I don't like that Ice Cube came on last. But I guess they saved one of the best for last. I would've liked to have seen him and Scarface perform one of their songs together but they didn't. The seats were pretty good we were positioned on the side of the stage. We could easily see the stage even with people standing up in front of us. The lines at the bar didn't move too quickly. The drinks were overpriced and not strong at all. $10 for a Hennessy and Coke wouldn't be so bad if the bartender hadn't poured exactly one shot of Hennessy and the rest coke. So basically $10 for a Coke. Anyway the staff was very friendly and very helpful. I would probably come back here again

West Fest was excellent. Concert was long 6:30-12:00 and worth every dollar. Everyone was good and took me back to 90s! Would highly recommend.

Usually (with this many artists in one show) there is at least one artist that doesn't fit in or doesn't do a good job entertaining. This was not the case. Everyone was good! Ice Cube, Too Short and Scarface killed it but EVERYONE did a great job. We're hoping that this becomes an annual concert. Wish Snoop could have been there too.

After all these years Ice Cube is still holding it down!!! Looks good, sounds good, gave an amazing performance!! Ice-Cube will always be my all time favorite rapper, followed by Too $hort, & DJ Quick. Overall this event was outstanding and I had so much fun!! All the rappers put on a great show individually and took their performance seriously. Their performance started/ended on time. Concert started on time with small breaks between performances. Very organized!! The energy level in the concert hall was high all night. The music was very nostalgic for me and reminded me of some good days and good times. I left the event feeling extremely satisfied knowing I definitely got my money's worth and was not disappointed by my favorite rap artists. Good Show worth seeing these OGs!!!

This was the BEST CONCERT that could have been put together if you are a fan of West Coast music. Hands down!!! We literally danced for the entire 4 hours and some change...including dancing to the 97.9 DJ music. The crowd was LIVE! All these artists on this line up are favorite artists of mine. There was no way in the world I was going to miss this concert. We traveled from Oklahoma City to make this show. I've been an ICE CUBE fan since he rock the Apollo back in the 1980's. I do recommend this show! I'd even go see it again if it came to OKC...without hesitation!

Ice Cube and DJ Quik were phenomenal!! No long wait times between acts and the arena was gorgeous. My only complaint, it seemed as if some of the artists were restricted with their time and it felt rushed. Definitely would have appreciated seeing a longer set from DJ Quik. Traveled from WI to Houston specifically to see him and was disappointed that he didn't have more time on stage. But overall the show was certainly worth the trip.

Houston needed this type of rap concert to help us get our mind away from flood. Thanks for the support to all rappers who perform and came visit us after disaster.
