Bobby was good and great seeing him again after 12 years. He was disappointed with the number of people and only sang 6 songs. That was disappointing, but I love Bobby so all was well.

This was a GREAT show! While SWV & "the fellas" were moving a bit slower, they sang very well. They truly "entertained" us...especially Mr. Bobby Brown! He was clownin' (in a GOOD way). And of course, my favorite - Mr. Johnny Gill - was marvelous as usual! And kudos to DJ Nab for the WONDERFUL tribute to the great Michael Jackson. I was almost in tears after that part of the show.

Does not matter if it is one or 6 I love New Edition I cried a little and I am 38 it never fails. This Amphitheater is very nice, it was my first time there and I enjoyed the organization the vibe was beautiful and the weather Gods were all in sync. SWV did there thing I was so excited to see and to here them. Both groups kept it real. I would see them again. The ticket price points were good as well. My best friends brought there two children who are both under 5 and they enjoyed themselves very much. We could have watched and listened to Bobby, Ralph and Johnny all freakin night long. What a great way to spend a Friday evening.

Overall this concert was great. I'm a straight shooter, so let's get the bad stuff out of the way first. NEXT, was a complete mess!!! Up there cussing, being disrespectful, doing whateva, their set was a waste of my time. Did anyone get any practice time in before saying yes to coming on this tour? It definitely shows that they do not have the performance chops like everyone else. They do not belong on this bill of performers. Enough of the bad... SWV - They still got it! I would definitely go see these sista's again. Coko and that voice, what else is there to say. They are true performers, even when the track wasn't ready, they were able to show their stuff with acapella. Come Back SWV, we are waiting for you! Bobby, Ralph and Johnny - Wow! I'lladmit, without the other guys, I did not expect too much. But their set was thoughtful, energetic, ran the course of their careers and I left thoroughly ENTERTAINED!! I sang along ALL night with my favorites...Mr. Telephone Man, Cool It Now, Tenderoni, My, My, My, Sensitivity, Lost in Love...I could go on and on. They are the consummate perfessionals, they know how to create a SHOW!!! NEXT, you should have been taking notes instead of back stage getting drunk.

The Concert was off the chain from beginning to end. Bobby, Ralph and Johnny really put on a nice show and was very intertaining. Each sang songs from thier solo career and they also sang songs from when they were in the group New Addition. I especially enjoyed the Michael Jackson Tribute. I was disapoointed Silk did not perform but it was a nice surprise to see a short performance from Brown Stone. This was my first time going to Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. It is a very nice venue and I will go back to enjoy other concerts.

The show was good as expected. Next cam out sang all their hits. SWV came out and sang all their hits. The Micheal Jackson set done by DJ Nabs was just ok. I thought he would have gotten all of MJ's hits, but I realize that would have been the entire show. The radio ad was a little misleading about Brownstone (the first group on Micheal's independent label. They said that they were going to do a tribute to Micheal when in reality only one member sang only one verse from "Lady in my LIfe" and then they proceeded to promote the world out of their upcoming album <blah>. They didn't even sing their biggest hit "If you love me" like everyone was hoping. I consider this the worst and most confusing part of the show. Thank goodness it was only 10 minutes wasted. Ralph, Johnny, and Bobby did well. I got a little lost in the middle when they were "going down memory lane" by singing hits that came out before I was even born. Bobby forgot some lyrics and almot hurt himself trying to do his old dance moves, LOL. They didn't really dance all that much, just a few steps here and there. All in all they gave a good 2.5 hour portion of the show and had everyone dancing to their familiar songs. This show is best for the crowd older than 30.

My first visit to the Verison 'Amp but i will come back and recommend to my friends. SWV is definitely a God sent name for the sisters. Next the jury still out on the guys i enjoyed their music over the years. Maybe they didn't know until the last min they had to sing tonite. lol I believe they can put together a better performance. Bobby, Ralph, and Johnny still got it naturally and nothing else need to be said. Hello

I had a great time at the show last ight. There was the good and the not so good. Next would have to be the not so good. They were not organized at all..... they talked more than they preformed. SWV was great! They sounded as good as the did back in the 90's. Head of State was great!! They had everyone up and dancing. I would have loved to see them on stage a little longer. Finally, the tribute to MJ made it feel like we were at a MJ concert. Great job to the DJ.

I was a little late and didn't get to see Next perform (heard them and they sounded GREAT), but MAN when I tell you that the Sisters With Voices showed up and showed OUT??!! First I never knew that they could ALL sing??!! They did an accappello version of "WEAK" that was incredible. Once the music was finally cued I was taken back in time. What can I say about Ralph, Bobby and Johnny??? They rose to the occassion and put on a fantastic performance. I had a blast!!

Really enjoyed the show. Being an old school concert it really brought back memories. Don't know how Next got on the line up but they shouldn't have. they only had one hit and they sung that in the beginning, which wasn't smart. the rest of the show they just sang other peoples songs. they had no stage presence and the crowd was overall just board with them. the rest of the acts were really good and they even had a few surprises like the group Brownstone and Keith Sweat showed up. The also did a Michael Jackson tribute that was really nice. They had these screens set up and they showed some pics of Mike that I had never seen before and played a lot of his music, old and new. It was great! The venue is fairly new. It was nice but the sound system was terrible, hopefully they will get that fixed so that it is not like that at future shows. It was a hot night but they have these overhead fans going that keep the place at a nice temp. Was a great experience. I would definitely recommend catching this show

The entire show was great! Next was a good opening act. It was great to see SWV together again. Good luck to Coco in her gospel career. DJ Nabs did an awesome job with the Michael Jackson tribute. It would have been better if all the groups had live musicians it hurts me to come to a concert and the artist to cheap to have a band. Using a computer. That cheats the people. Bobby was ok he put on a fair performance he was out of breath but he had fillers and a band. SWV stoked the show they were the best!!!

It was a great show. Looking forward to 94.7 The Wave with Guy

How can we even say this: there is no excuse for having Bobby Brown in a show right now, never mind headlining. After attempting a few dance steps he would stop, lean against the set breathing hard, and give up - saying, 'that's some BS'. The audience left in droves. He couldn't sing, but beyond any of that, is he literally could not even fake being there to perform. People should get a refund because the headliner could not perform, and it wasn't even a sickness - the show was put together with a headliner who is not able to perform. Luckily Troop was tight, every move tightly choreographed, great voices. Jagged Edge also killed it except they didn't do enough songs of their own (they subbed in an Usher and a Keith Sweat son. Next was fun - Wifey was cool. The audience was dancing and pumped from these bands. Then the biggies came on, SWV - ok but dull and the audience just sat. Then Brown - so bad the audience fled. Next time, make Jagged Edge the headliner (a girl behind us drove from Fresno just to see them).

Next, Jagged Egde and SWV were pretty good. It was a trip down memory lane...Next and Jagged Egde had some club hits and it was still on point. SWV...they were awesome! They still sound so good. HOWEVER, when Bobby Brown came up...I noticed a lot of movement...but it was more like people getting ready to leave. Man...Bobby sound terrible, I walked out...others walked out.

The headliner in this show (Bobby Brown) was awful! He came out apparently intoxicated and began cursing at the audience for not all standing up. He became enraged at the sound guys claiming he couldn't hear. So as they turned the system up the audience heard a lot of reverb. This artist kept leaving the stage and allowing his background singers to finish the sets. This show included other artist who were very good. Opening act 112 was good. Next up Ginuwine was very good. After that the band Mint Condition was awesome!

I will never go to a show at Showplace Arean again. We had seats on the floor but the sound was poor, the lights were poor, and no screens up to see the artistist. The biggest problem of them all was right after a great perfomance by Mint Condition, we thought they were saving the best for last when Bobby Brown was next. They told everbody to stand up and came out with alot of hype, then Bobby Brown started to sing:( We didn't know whether to laugh or cry and we stood there for a minute to make sure that awful sound was really coming from him. That's when we left and everyone else in the building was rushing to get out

I have to say 112, Ginuwine, and Mint Condition were awesome. I really wish they all had more stage time. Would have loved to see longer performances. Bobby Brown..Horrible..He was out of breath, forgot the words to his own songs, and was rude. How are you going to tell the audience to get you hype so you can give a performance. Excuse me sir, but it's your job to keep your audience entertained. There was a massive walk out once Bobby failed to deliver. And that was after the first 5 minutes of him hitting the stage. 1 and a half songs and he left the stage. 1 song wasnt even completed. Fine with me because we left as well.

I would only recommend this event if the interest was in seeing 112, Genuine, and Mint Condition. The first three performances were very good and i definitely recommend them. Bobby Brown was absolutely TERRIBLE...... Never have i seen the entire audience just get up and walk out not even 10 minutes into his performance. He was trying to blame the mics, the lights, everything but himself. He could not sing, he could not dance. I actually felt sorry for the guy but i would not ever go see him again unless he came with New Edition.

Mint Condition- I knew they would come through.... this warranted the three stars Bobby-? Yeah and I had front row seats for this mess The Dj- in between acts the DJ would mix Michael Jackson and 3 go-go songs- why. playa you in DC. Staawwwwhhhhhpppp it. So hard to watch Bobby Brown struggle through his performances. He is just a shadow of his former self. Bobby needs to hang it up if that's the type of show he is going to put on. I was so excited to see such great artists from the 90s and was very disappointed by this concert. First of all, the logistics to enter the venue is horrible. I drove to a point where I was less than a mile away from the venue. It took me over an hour to drive the rest of the distance. I went from being about a half hour early to the show to over a half hour late. I ended up missing the first act, which was 112 - the group I was most excited to see. That put a damper on my night. Ginuwine and Mint Condition picked me back up. They did a great job! Then the "headliner" came on - Bobby Brown. He was horrible! He couldn't finish a full line from his songs, his voice was real cracky and he was screaming, and he had a million excuses why he couldn't sing his songs! He should've been the opening act or not at all.

112, Ginuwine, and Mint Condition were great. They were worth the price of admission. Bobby Brown should have been a shame of himself. He was huffing and puffing. Genuwine was great no problem with his performance he was very personal with the crowd, all around great performer, the other groups pretty much followed suit, they were just as entertaining, but they let Bobby Brown close the show, it was a total disaster, he came on stage drunk or high maybe both, tried to sing and dance the first song and was out of breath, he stops singing and walks off the stage probably to throw up, he staggers back out and begin to cuss the crowd for having him perform in a shitty barn, then tries to sing some more, totally off key, and his voice sounded like a bag of trash, The audience started leaving including myself, majority of the audience was in the ticket office seeking a refund for the show, I wouldn't see Bobby Brown again if it was free, the man need to retire....PERMANENTLY!

Overall the show was pretty good except for Bobby Brown. He stunk up the place. He don't have it anymore. As soon as he started singing his voice cracked and people started clearing out. I stayed because I wanted to see just how bad it would get. His show only went down hill the more he stayed on stayed. He actually walked off a couple of times, flicked off the sound man and the people that were leaving. 112, Mint Condition and Ginuwine did pretty damn good though. No complaints on them. I'll never spend money to see Bobby Brown again.

I am torn about this event. I always loved all the acts performing especially Mint Condition. In my opinion They should have been the headliners. Their performance was flawless and amazing. The group 112 even performed a great opening act. The comedic host Damien Williams was outstanding , especially considering everything was late. The show started off late and continued so for the rest of the night. I am very disappointed in Ginuiwine and Bobby Brown. Ginuwine sang brief sonnets of his music and often forgot to sing with the vocal track. Its as if he was unfocused and not engaging. Okay let me take a deep breath and summarize the train wreck performance of Bobby Brown. I will not pay another red penny to see him again. Bobby's vocals are gone! His manorism is appauling. He kept complaining of sound and mic issues. No it was him! The other three entertainers performed just fine. Mint Condition had just tore the stage up .... No squeeking mics, no sound issues. Mint Condition is a real band they play their own instruments. Bobby blamed the band, the audience everybody but himself for the poor performance. At one point he either flipped us the audience off or the band! He just walked of stage at one point and let some other young group perform. Five minutes into his performance people were leaving in droves. I have been to hundreds of shows and have never witnessed anything like it! Someone needs to pull Bobby and Ginuwine a side and tell them "Hey lets regroup and address some either personal issues or professional issues". As for me I will definetely seek out Mint Condition again and 112 but not Bobby Brown and Ginuwine.

He sang the classics Roni, Don't be Cruel, My Prerogative, Get Away, my favorite Every Little Step....he was celebrating his 44th birthday and a big cake with a crown on top was rolled out on stage for him which he took a large bite out of..He really connected with the fans and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Chene Park, Detroit was the scene where Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant entertained the masses for 2 solid hours. Each performed hits and oldies from their individual career as the others sang background. They came together for soul-stirring and head banging renditions of many New Edition hits such as "Candy Girl" and "Sorry, You're Not My Kind of Girl". Dressed in all white, the fellas looked great with a beautiful backdrop of the Detroit River with Windsor, Ontario on the other side of the water. The band members, who often travel with Brown, were splendid, though the outdoor amphitheater's sound system is in dire need of an overhaul. Homegrown local and national celebrities were on hand to enjoy the show including basketball great, Derrick Coleman and TV Judge Greg Mathis. The abbreviated version of the New Edition group sang, sweat and danced the night away (while fanning away pesky mosquito s). The mostly female audience couldn't get enough (yours truly included), but atlas, all good things must come to an end.

It was a great show... NEXT really got the crowd hyped. SWV still have the strong electrifying voices made them one of the premier female groups of the 90s. It was nice to see DJ NABS IN THE LAB giving an awesome tribute to MJ. The crowd was rocking. The heads of state were just that...the headliners.........the show stoppers. They kept you out of your seats taking us down memory lane singling all their hits. Bobby was being Bobby - off the chain as usual. He didn't not let us down. Ralph was awesome, he gets the ladies going with smooth and suave voice and style. Johnny Gill (Mr Steel pipes) seduced every woman in the crowd with his deep strong voice and seductice lyrics. Overall I don't think they could have put on a better show, it was AWESOME

SWV was very good, all the ladies looked amazing. DJ Nabb did his thing with the tribute to Micheal Jackson. But the highlight of the night was definitely Bobby, Ralph, and Johnny. They were all outstanding!!! Bobby Brown is a true on stage performer!

I went to a concert at the Queen Mary in August and Bobby was supposed to be the second last to go, but Keith Sweat was. When Bobby went up, he was at the very end and by then it was like almost midnight cuz the concert company, All-Star Concerts, was soooo unorganized, their sound people were wack, and their staff was so poorly trained. Like, how many times are dudes going to come out and say, "How's everyone doin tonight?" or "If you're here to have fun say yeah!" like I'm telling you, between every set it was like an hour. Keith Sweat's set was like 90 minutes and not even 15 minutes into bobby's set, they had to cut him off cuz Keith Sweat extended too long. Bobby sang part of Every Little Step and Get Away. Then he told us the story of what the company did to him, cutting his set short. Then he decided to keep going, despite the company people telling him to stop so the band started into "My Prerogative" and like 30 seconds into it, they cut the sound to the instruments. So Bobby took the mic and threw it on the ground, then peaced out. It was so unfair to bobby and the rest of us as spectators who stayed the whole 5 hours just to see him. So I can't really fairly rate this particular performance. I'll say this though, I'll never go to a concert run by All Star Concerts ever again. The worst service ever.

Okay it's clear Bobby's vigor and voice are gone and have been since the mid-2000's. Bobby's been through a lot. However, this concert was way better than the one in August run by All Star concerts cuz they didn't screw his set length over for Keith Sweat or anyone else on the set list. He had a nice long set. He cheats on his vocals by "making the audience sing many of his lines", especially in the higher parts. He doesn't dance like before cuz he's very out of shape. However, through it all, he STILL has that on stage swag about himself that still makes me happy to have been there. I still got love for the dude. He still loves to perform. It's kind of weird that with all his clear current deficits in capability, he still delivers somehow. I still love his music and always will. I am really happy to have been there.

As much as I am a New Edition fanatic!!!! I was soooooooo Disappointed with the "king"... #1 my boyfriend spent way too much money for 2nd row seats .i thought we were at a Live rehearsal. Waiting for the king to perform . I just knew Bobby Brown was coming to rock the show. Instead I thought I was at a funeral .. The band was so loud you couldn't tell what song Bobby was on until the end of the song. You can barely hear his voice and last without least .. Bobby Brown only came to the right and the center of the stage never came to the left side .... where was Brooke Payne when you needed him to tell him where to go onstage ..smh

My husband and I are Bobby Brown fans, both are from the Boston area. Couldn't wait to see him in concert in CT. What a disappointment that was. He barely sung, he barely danced. We were at the front of the stage, never came over to our side of the stage to great the fans that were there. He only stayed on one side of the stage entertaining his family more who were in attendance. WE WOULD LIKE A REFUND. His performance is right up there with R Kelly which also was a total bust last year. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. AGAIN WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT BOBBY WAS!!!!

I came to see Jagged Edge and they were great! Please bring them back and let them perform more songs! SWV were also great. They actually should have headlined. Would pay to see them again anytime. Now to Bobby Brown. Bobby was very sluggish. I know he has been a lot in recent year, but man. We didn't stay through his performance. I also didn't like that he had his artists performing during his set....it was unnecessary. Now waiting for Guy, Tank, and Ginuwine in Sept!! Thank you The Wave!

All of the groups were wonderful and took us all on a stroll down memory lane! Never got to see any of these artists back in the 90's, since I was just a broke college student, so this was definitely a treat!! But, as unfortunate that it has even to be, the PRINCE tribute during intermission (& when Bobby Brown sang Purple Rain) were extra special!! R.I.P. PRINCE... Can't wait to go to the September concert...Dru Hill!!

The Showplace Arena isn't the best place for concerts. The sound was off. That being said, I enjoyed Mint Condition, Genuine, and 112 as much as possible. Bobby Brown might need to take some time to get healthy. The other acts put him to shame.

The sound was off all night,it made my whole experience awful. The main event (Bobby Brown) sounded like he had a frog in his throat. Myself and 50+ people left as soon as he came on. All the other acts made the show what it was,an OK concert.

My husband and were primarily disappointed that Bobby Brown was added as a headliner after we purchased our tickets. Originally Mint Condition was the headliner. If we had known that Bobby Brown was to end the show we would not have attended. Secondly the acoustics and sound for both 112 and Ginuwine were poor.

I hate to give this bad of a review because everyone was pretty good except Bobby Brown who was the headliner. These guys need to understand that we are all adults and not some teenagers or early 20's that going to go crazy as soon as you get on stage. Bobby came out and didn't even try to perform in my opinion. The sound was wrong. He just got out of the hospital. He got the unknown backup singers doing all of the singing. I felt like I was robbed. I do give thanks to 112, Genuine, and Mint Condition for holding it down. They deserve 4 stars.

Bobby Brown ruined the whole concert. He came on stage and was not ready to sing. He stopped the concert talking about he wants energy from the audience and he feeds off of us. I'm paying my good money to see you perform. I don't need to provide you energy. My hard earned money should be your Energy. Mint condition should have been the headliner. They were very good along with Genuwine and 112. Bobby ruined it for the other groups. People got up in the middle of the performance and left the venue. It was that bad.

I was very disappointed in this concert from start to finish. I don't think the artist gave their fans their money's worth! My wife and thought it would get better with Bobby but we left during his second song. I regretted changing my plans and going to the Valentine's Love Jam because it was TROUBLE!!!! I will never pay to see any of the artist again.

The show was unprofessional and the worst show I have ever been to. The parking instructions prior to arrival was hectic and not organized which caused a late arrival for the show. The lines for alcoholic beverages was 100yds which also caused missed performances. Only 2 people behind the bar waiting for hundreds of customers. The sound quality at the Show Case Arena is terrible and the $100 seats for a beautiful night with your love one was to close to the person beside you. The overall disappointment was Bobby Brown, the headliner who came out last and was struggling with his voice. Sure, we realize it wouldn't sound like 20 years ago but to not even have a voice to talk or sing period was a disappointment. Everyone started leaving after the second song knowing that it would not get any better. I would like a full refund and will never attended another concert at the Show Case Arena. This was not only embarrassing but a waist of good money and a special occasion.

Mint Condition was incredible. I love seeing them perform, they are always full of energy. Ginuwine gave a great performance and it was cute that he was throwing out teddy bears and brought his daughters out to sing to them. 112 was good with a lot of energy. Now as far as Bobby Brown he sounded horrible. They couldn't get his sound right and he seemed as if he was straining his voice...

I was so dissapointed with the show. I was expecting better performances Being it was Valentine's Day. Maybe it,was the hour 1/2 wait to get into the parking lot , missing 112 then Bobby Brown made the crowd leave. Ginuwine was good and Mint Condition was just ok. Very Disappointed.
