6 RV's battling it out for demolition supremacy. Some tow truck drivers and female mortician, what else can you ask for. The destruction was magnificent. The chaos was beautiful. It all happened right here in the OC. Nice. The wife and I had a great time. I would bring the kids if we had some.

What a Riot!! Very Well Done!! Quiet Enjoyable!! Like watching Five O clock Traffic on the 405!! The Pomona Fair Grounds might want to invest a few dollars in a sound system that one can actually HEAR..... The MC was Quiet Entertaining {What You Could HEAR of Him}

We enjoyed the show very much, didn't think it was going to be long, and when it continued we were excited. Well worth the money and I would like to see this type of event held more than just during the fair. Good way for the fair to host events like this to make money, so that the State Fair stays in Pueblo.

I thought the Demo Derby was so exciting! There were a lot of entries this year (but not too many), which makes for a more enjoyable Derby. The trucks were my husband's favorite. My favorite was, of course, the last round. Total demolition! I would definitely recommend this event to friends who like raw destruction - which most of my friends do!!!

Aside from a few good crashes, the Demolition Derby was a waste of time. Whoever planned it failed by only having two forklifts to remove the cars after each round. So it took over a half hour between rounds. To give you an idea of how long it took, the event started at 7:30 and ended around midnight. I don;t recommend this next year unless the venue provides more forklifts or a better means of removing cars between rounds. And if any of the promoters happen to read this: PLEASE take the lame rollover cars segment off the program next year. 4 tries and none of the cars could even roll over one time off the ramp. That was a good 45 minutes that I wish I had back. The Derby planners should be ashamed of themselves. The crowd lost interest because of waiting around so long. In fact, the track announcer had to constantly encourage the fans to cheer. The atmosphere was dead for the most part. There were also several cars that I am fairly certain were illegally reinforced -- hitting other cars head-on and HARD, yet barely getting a dent. However, since the rules were never published or explained (another oversight), one can surmise that all of the cars could have legally used steel or rubber reinforcement in this Derby, another shame..

Fun is all I can say a little long, Hubby acted like a little kid it was past 10:30pm 2 year old out for count but he did not want to leave. Will go next year but no little ones too long of event. Wish it started earler fair pretty much over when event was done.

Big problem is how slow they remove the wrecked cars. If they did it faster we and all the people would not leave befor it was over.

This is a perfect family outing as it is lots of fun and very affordable. My husband, son and I each choose a car at the beginning of each "heat" and cheer our driver on. This particular Derby had lots of lost bumpers and a few races with rival drivers going after each other. The band which provided the music before the event and inbetween the "heats" was great, also. We would definitely recommend this for any family with children over 4. Any younger and they may tend to get bored.

What could have been a good/great derby was offset by the lack of people to remove broken cars from the arena and a lack-luster band that played at every single stoppage. While watching a derby the time in between heats is a nice quite break from the noise and a great time to chat with friends. What should have been a 2 hour derby turned into a 4.5 hour long event and the grandstands were half empty by the time the main heat finally started. In my opinion it was all kind of a joke. Had I brought my children to try and enjoy the event we would not have been able to stay. The quickest the cars were ever removed from the arena is when half of them drove out after the heat. The forklifts damaged serveral cars that had made it into the final heat which I am sure made the drivers happy. One forklift actually ripped through the roof on the #5 (?) lincoln, kudos to that pit-crew because the car actually made it back for the main heat and looked good. All in all I doubt I will ever go back to this derby. They should call this event, "watch forklifts drive around at each break you will see cars hit" because most of our time was spent watching the forklifts. I would not recommend this event to anyone.

seats were not that good had to do alot of straining around people to see. the derby was really good though. had alot more cars than before. different kinds of demolition. drivers really put alot of effort into it to make it enjoyable. announcing was good and the band that played while cars were being owed away was very good.

I arrived and sat close to the middle seating section. As i watched the event unfold it was aparent the event personal had not been to other derbys. For the way it was arranged and lined up in the arena was the worst possible way. Wiith to many cars in each heat for the size of the arena. I was also displeased with the way they let people win with out hitting other cars for over five minutes as in the small car heat. I can not and would not recommend this event to any one.

The area was so muddy they had to bring in equipment to try to smooth out arena. Machinery did as much damage rutting arena as it did to straighten it out. Got started almost an hour late. Cars could barely move in mud and was only about 12 cars in big car class and 9 in small car class. Overall was a waste of money and time. Very disappointed in derby and state fair. Wil not go again.

The derby itself was great as always! The only problem was it was held indoors and the exhaust and other fumes made it almost unbearable. I would recommend either increasing the number of fans to get rid of the fumes or keep having them outdoors. We also had reserved seats but were told it was all general admission unless you had a pit pass. Our reserved seats were where the pit pass section was. Just a little confusing.

The event was in itself a great idea and we did have a good time however, the site that was chosen for the event was not thought out that well.. One of the first things that I mentioned to our group was "are they having this indoors?? and I hope they have good ventilation." I was completely flabbergasted when we went inside and noticed that there was not what I would consider the ideal fresh air enviroment. I have been to alot of events indoors that included gasoline powered machines. I fully understand why the event was held indoors due to the time of year and climate.. I don't think that it would of been too bad until one of the trucks was stuck on a safety berm and was allowed to gun the engine for several minutes to try and free itself, the whole while it was obivious that it was not going anywhere and was filling the arena with smoke and fumes to the point that the show was stopped to clear out the arena of thick engine smoke and fumes. There was even an announcment made that if you start to feel dizzy or not well to leave the arena and go outside for clean air... They did eventually bring in fans to try and blow it all out.... Other than that it was a great show and we all enjoyed the mayhem and distruction.. I will go to any future Tommy G productions but will most likely have to pass on a demo derby held indoors.... We will be going to the demo derby again this year at during the state fair... SEE YOU THERE

For an Arkansas event, I guess this was ok.. only eight cars total, 3 heats of 4 cars.. My son actually had more fun riding on the monster truck there than watching the derby. The best deal out of this was that my ticket also got me free state fair admission. For that combo, I would recommend.

The picture associated with this event is deceptive. There were only 4 cars at a time, and the space they were in only allowed them to go 5-10 MPH. Very boring and slow!! My 7 y/o was ready to go after 2 rounds ( about 40 min) not worth the time or money.

Watching the RVs geting smashed up was great. We had great seats. We were right in the middle. We could see everything. Each RV crashing in to each other. One after another RV loosing its top and being disqualified until there were only 2 left. One of the last driver's got stuck and he couldn't move anymore. So the otehr driver won. It was super.

Lots of destruction! But, for a ticketed event it was very short -- lasted less than 30 minutes. On the plus side, since Fair admission is included, the cost of the ticket was only a few bucks more than Fair admission would have cost. That provides a reserved seat in the shade. On a hot July day, was worth it!

This was the first time that we attended this event and it will be an annual event from this point forward. OMG, this was awesome!!! First of all, the Motor Homes rocked as did the drivers. We were laughing and speechless the entire event -- there were no words to describe what was going on in the arena. It lasted maybe 30 minutes, hoped it would be longer but it was priceless fun. We purchased reserved seating for $15, it was worth it because it paid for the admission to the fair and we didn't have to wait in line. I recommend this event to anyone. It was pretty fun, & my two boys seemed to have enjoyed themselves (that's a plus). The only complaint was the lack of cars in the derby, but I guess you can only squeeze so many cars in that small space. It got a little mundane after watching about an hour. However, I would probably go again, because there's not a whole lot of entertainment around here.

The event was much shorter than expected. Advertised as 90 minutes the event ran only 60 minutes. The true action was less than 30. Only had two derbys - one with seven cars one with eight cars. Definitely needed a third Derby to make it reasonable for the price. A family of four attending for $120 is a lot for this "amateur" event.

The last 2 heats were great! A bunch of cars in each and lots of action. Lots of fun to watch and exciting. The first 2 heats were a waste of time, 4 and 5 cars respectively, and the cars just wasting time so that they could get to the final heat.

I can't put a finger on it and it could be just a random set of events, but this years Saturday Night Orange Crush was the least exciting in recent memory. Perhaps it is because there were only 10 cars involved or possibly because it was won by a 43 yr old grandmother who won by playing it safe and not really bashing anybody. The bottom line is that is was just OK. I would have rated it 2.5 stars if that was an option. Does this mean we will no longer attend? Heck no! This event is now a tradition for family and friends. I only hope it is better next year. If anybody from the fair happens to read this review, please note that having the two shows/derbies (afternoon and evening) on one day was our preferred format. We have kids that LOVED it but go to sleep early. It would be great to get the afternoon show back on the schedule. We also liked the charity auction for driving privileges that they had done in the last couple years. We really missed that this year.

They had 10 cars, the whole event was over in less than 30 minutes. That was too much hype for too little action. Also, it appeared some drivers were paying favorites, they wouldn't hit certain cars even though they had a clean shot.

The first all female demolition derby was awesome. The place was packed, the energy of the crowd was electric as people jumped out of their seats, screaming and cheering for their favorite car! The gals kept up a great fight to the end and the winner was an unexpected surprise. They all showed grit and no fear and they revved up their engines and smashed into each other again and again!! It was a great show for a great cause. Donations were taken by the Susan G. Komen foundation and in return derby souvenirs were handed out. I will definitely be there next year; front row!!

The bleachers seating was entirely too close for comfort. When someone 4'10" has to sit sideways to have room for your legs you, can only imagine how uncomfortable it was for a tall person. In addition, I had a difficult time seeing over people in the row below us. However, the racing was great and the crashes were spectacular, will definitely go next year, but not if the only seating is in the bleachers.

I feel that the derby was better this year,,,Last year it seemed to drag on and on,,,,I almost didnt go this year because of that. I feel that the derby can still do better to entertain the audience during clean up. More T-shirt give aways or fair tokens or something the audience can use that night,,not having a raffle that you have to take to a credit union that wants you to open a account to redeem that coupon,,,,silly if you ask me
