STEVIE B IN CONCERT:Miami hero and Latin freestyle legend Stevie B is as beloved for his floor-filling breakbeat jams as he is for tender superbalads like "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)." At his 2013 shows, Stevie kept crowds moving with adrenalin-filled sets of his classic Latin-infused electro — booming bass, dramatic synth stabs, and his signature R&B croon. The first four of five groups sounded just fine, but the last few were awful. I don't know what the heck happened, but the sound on the singers' microphones and the music through the speakers just got so loud and muffled that you could hardly make out a word. You'd think a techie would have heard how unlistenable it became and fixed it but it was never adjusted, making it a very disappointing experience...despite how good the headline acts (Stevie B, Expose, Taylor Dayne) would have been.

The show was good. Most of the artist did there thing. Johnny O was horrible. He didn't even sing and seemed as if he was on drugs. Cynthia and Stevie B were awesome. They sounded great. I wish that after the concert there was a place to dance. The crowd had so much fun with DJ lex 1 he was jamming.

All the sound was directed to the stage. When artists came out all u heard was the bass n voice. All other music was lost. Hence crappy sounding performances. When Johnny O came out u could barely hear what he was singing. Hence the booing. I was sitting in section 2 n was extremely disappointed by sound quality. Event started 2.5 hrs late. I drove from Port St Lucie. Love freestyle n attend lots of freestyle venues n this one by far left me disappointed.

This was not a concert ......This was a NYC Block Party! I did not stop dancing the whole nigh. I felt like I was in NYC again. The arena was jumping all night long.

All in all it was a nice concert. Took forever to begin. It was supposed to start at 7 and started at 8:30. People were getting anxious but thank God for the great DJ. If not, I probably would've gotten up and left....

I went to the first freestyle ledgends concert and it was great! so I thought I would attend the second one because there was not only going to be a few of the singers from the first tour but a few new ones that I wanted to see. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! This second tour was TERRIBLE! So many people walked out. The whole crowd was booing some acts. They were lip sinking and there was even a Milli Vanilli moment when the record skipped and the singer had to start all over again. It was just awful! The sound system was absolutely terrible! and so was the lighting! The only acts I liked were Shannon and Saffire. Not even the main event which was Stevie B was that great. I didn't get expensive tickets at all but even the little bit I paid was too much for this event. Maybe if this event was held at the House Of Blues where they have a great sound system it would have been much better.

It was fantastic!! People all got into it. Brought back a lot of memories!!! Good to see the old timers having such a great time and the dancing was so much fun to see people just having a good time. Event was very well organized and no problems whatsoever. Let's do this every 6 months - why wait until next year!!!!! By the way - my applause goes to Johnny O!! Even though he was booed, he brought it back and kept his professional level. PEOPLE - give the man a chance!!! He came through no matter what!!! GREAT JOB!!!

Expose, New Shooz, The Jets, and Company B were great. The others not so good. I ended up leaving during Stevie B's performance as did many others. I've seen those acts before which is why I returned. I'm glad I bought a cheap ticket this time as many of the other new acts were disappointing, especially the rappers!

Once again, the artists that were featured did a fantastic job! Seeing Noel singing "The Question" and "Silent Morning" was a special treat, as was seeing Kayel (TKA) live for the first time. Expose' was outstanding as always (Jeanette, you did an amazing job), beautiful Trinere sang all her hits and the crowd danced to it non-stop , and Stevie B demonstrated once again how talented he is - what a great showman! It was a memorable concert, the Honda Center stadium was packed, showing that Freestyle music is as popular now as it was in the 80's and 90's, and it definitely paved the way to make electronic dance music (EDM) such a huge success right now. Can't wait for the next concert!

The concert was great! The sound of the artists singing wasn't very good! The musical instruments were too loud and over powered the singer. I think Taylor Dayne was excellent. She looks great and sounds the same! Expose was also great! Stevie B.was hard to hear.. I love listening to the old school music!

Let me say this first and foremost, the performers were great! The only part of this concert I struggled with was the audio, it was terrible. Depending on who was performing, the sound was either great or way off the mark. Unfortunately, for Stevie B., it was just bad all the way around. I know other acts had issues as well. To me, it seemed as if they just grabbed Joe Blow off the streets and said hey, you are the sound mixer for tonight. Good Luck! Venue was great, but sound was terrible!!!

Most of the songs we didn t even know, Trine was horrible! Taylor Dwayne was good, she looked absolutely amazing, But Lisa Lisa, was the best! The floor seating was hard to find and people were in our seats and they argued to get out of them, they eventually did tho.

Seats were perfect. Went to the concert with one of my friends and I had the best time in along time. The performances were fantastic and great crowd. I seen a couple of small fights break out but the security staff was on it! Had way to many margaritas lol This was my first time at Golden 1. All of the family and grandkids have been there before but I loved it.

Nice show but first 2 artists Trinere and Lisa Lisa should have played more songs from there hits for the price I paid. 70.00 I think Stevie B dug further into his song catalog which kind of made up for the first two artists shortcomings.

The freestyle event was off the chain. The Jets were ok. Expose, Evelyn King And Jody Watley performed better than expected. Lisa Lisa was The Bomb, as was Stevie B. Zapp stole the show, great special effects and at their age. These Boys were Good!!

Coro, Stevie B., Safire, Cynthia, Shannon were the BEST and they are in my order of favorites. We were disappointed with Johnny O., it seem to everyone that he was just lip singing, we know all of them have their record being played but we still here their voices over the record, but his we did not and the crowed started to bu him at one point. We also did not like at all The SoulSonic Force. Everyone in the audience at this time just sat down. In other words it just cooled everyone down a little. It was great to be able to be on the ground level floor and go to the front of the stage to take pictures. THE SECURITY GUARDS (THE ONE INCHARGE TO BE SPECIFIC) GAVE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE OTHER GUARDS NOT TO ALLOW ANYONE TO STAND IN FRONT OF THE STAGE, but everyone was standing up dancing, it is this type of concert..... They should have been more relaxed. If I was to have stayed at my seat I would not have seeing anything at all.

I ve been coming to the shows for a while now and to me this was one of the best Lisa Lisa got down as usual sounded fantastic And looked phenomenal Stevie B he never disappoints And Taylor Dayne still sings like an angel. Shannon Not only still has her pipes she s as gorgeous as ever! Connie was fantastic and I appreciated the shout out to studio 47 because that s when all this music was popular and where we went to dance to it! I had such a fantastic time and couldn t stop dancing I can t wait for the next one and I will definitely be at the funk fest for George Clinton\u2018s farewell tour that is a fantastic lineup on September 15! I also appreciated how the show just kept rolling there were no big intermissions it was just one artist after the other that came on and they kept it moving that was awesome and again I feel this is one of the best shows I ve ever been to and I ve been going to these for several years now. Lisa Lisa, JJ Fad, Connie hands down were the best. I love old school but show was about an hour too long. There were a couple of performers that just didnt have it anymore and made it hard to watch. Whoever handled lighting should be fired along woth the person running recorded beat. It was pretty obvious they pissed off the musicians. Victor Zaragoza was definitely a great MC as always. Stevie B.....his band was good.

Had an amazing time at the Freestyle concert last Saturday night at the SAP. The line up was fabulous. Pretty Poison, Lisa Lisa, Shainnan, Debbie Deb, Taylor Dane and Steve B. etc. I was in section 110, handicapp. I enjoyed the space. Great time.

Stevie B is still rocking it after all these years! Sang all of our favorites from our teenage years bringing back fond memories. He even stayed after the concert and gave free autographs for any Stevie B items we purchased and selfies as well. I will add that taylor dayne had a freestyle hit and the rest of the songs she sang did not really fit into the genre of music that was being performed. Pretty Poison, Stacy Q, everybody was awesome! The venue is always a great place to see concerts. However, the DJs from the radio station should be asked to not scream into the microphones like they always to. The microphone is designed to make you louder, you don't need to scream into it as well. Other than the concert being a little too long, it was fun to see all of these older acts.

Concert was great! Sound on the other hand was a mess. Either the music was to loud you couldn t hear the singer or the mic was just making an awful sound. Other than that concert was great.

Amazing lineup, almost all acts stuck to their hits keeping the energy level high. At times, audio was a bit off, and lighting was as well (flashing lights blinding) but nothing too bad. Must see!!!!!!

The sound was muffled and way too loud. You couldn't even hear the performers clearly. Too many interruptions in-between performers seemed way too long.

It was a bit too loud as there was too much bass it seemed. The singers were good and seemed fun, but 2-3 songs from most performers just wasn't enough. If I would have realized how the show was set up, I may not have gone even though I really wanted to see the second to the last act. It was not my type of concert.

Overall, this was a fantastic show and such a fun journey down memory lane. All of the artists are still amazing. The venue was good, but they could use some work on the sound. Some of the MCs were WAY too loud, Stevie B s mic wasn t working for the first few seconds, and you could see several of the artists motioning throughout to fix the monitors. Wasn t too distracting, but could ve been better. Freestyle is alive and well!!

This concert was a complete disaster! They were never able to get the sound right! Gave them the benefit of the doubt but main act hits the stage and sound still horrible! Extremely disappointed and will definitely share my experience with others.

really good show....Taylor Dayne and Expose put on good performances....Stevie B had to follow up after Lisa Lisa....Would not have wanted to be in his shoes....Even with all his great music...No way he could follow that up after the amazing performance she put on....

I had a great time reminiscing and enjoying the music I grew up listening to. The only issue I had with the show was the sound. There were moments when we couldn't hear the singer, the background music was over powering and piercing. That was more of a sound engineer problem. But all in all, I loved hearing some of my favorites!!

Was overall a great concert but they had the volume way to high and it made it distorted with the sound up close. I really wish they would do better sound checks to make it more enjoyable for everyone.
