Binghamton Devils

I attended the 1st Ever Binghamton Devils Home Game! Here is my Review. ARENA: The stairs at the game in my section (Section 3 Row AA) didn t have hand rails going from the main concourse to lower section where my seats were. It was difficult to go down the steps for myself and my guest. The seats were comfortable however with not having cup holders was annoying. I put my drink between my legs hoping I myself wouldn t knock it over or have little kids running up and down the row kick it like a hockey puck. The lack of items per the concession stands were a bummer. The prices were typically fair for a sporting event. HOCKEY GAME: The Game Announcer was difficult to hear. He sounded muffled. I couldn t hear who got a penalty, what the penalty was called for or who scored and got the assists. The Music / Sound System was terrible. The sound system sounded tinty is the best way to describe it. It wasn t crisp/clear. I am not sure if the arena sold or allowed these clapping gadgets but they allowed them in the arena, It was very annoying and made portions of the game unenjoyable from nearby fans. The glass where we were sitting in front of had several puck marks which is usual for a hockey game but some of the puck markings were large and a distraction. Also when the home team was shooting down the opposite end of the rink it made it very challenging to see due to the reflection of the plexiglass on the sides. The team, the mascot \u2018Devil Dog and the Binghamton Devils staff including the Season Ticket Sales Reps were friendly. One of them even got me a poster of the teams schedule that was hanging up in the area by going out of his way to his car to get me one after the game. The human bowling entertainment in between periods and the host was a good excuse to get up and roam around the concourse as it wasn t that entertaining at all. I would suggest maybe doing multiple events throughout the game. Like Period 1 Intermission, they could do the human bowling event if that pleases an audience but then during the 2nd period intermission, I d suggest another event like they do at NHL Games with prizes/giveaways/shooting the puck events, etc. I plan on attending a game in the future, however I d like my rating go from a 7/10 to a 10/10. As a New Jersey Devil fan it is quite the experience to be able to see the young rookies and semi-pro players before turning pro. Ya never know one of those players could indeed become the next Gordie Howe or Wayne Gretzky!

My 3 yr old liked it. I was afraid he'd see one period and then want to be done. But some popcorn and few hard checks into the glass and he was a happy camper. To top it off he got a game puck tossed to him.

Lots of energy and fun at an excellent hockey game. I hosted foreign exchange student from India, who said she had a great US cultural experience. Only negative--I miss the blimp, which flew around the venue.

From start to finish, this game was very exciting. That was the best ending to a game that I have ever seen. Loved it! Also, watching from the very last row was not bad at all. I could see everything. I loved the Mascot. He was so much fun to watch. The fans really loved him too.

The Will Call stand saved us at least 10-15 minutes instead of standing in ine with other people buying tickets. The game was great, although the B-Sens lost.

Saturday's game with the Monarch gave proof that you don't have to go to the Big City to see great Hockey. Although the Senators lost they out played their opponents and by chance narrowly missed several goals. My Grandchildren loved the game as well as the Star War characters. What a great way to spend an evening in Binghamton.

We had what I felt was the best seats in the house. Third row from the floor right behind the goalie. What better action can you get. With hocky pucks whizzing toward your head only to be stopped by the glass. WOW!!!!

Hockey live is no comparison to Hockey in person.... Highly Recommend!!

Not a bad seat in the house, reasonable prices, and a crowd that is into it!

Good hocket game with moments of both sloppy and spectacular play. Fairly high paced hockey with enough scoring to keep fans interested !! Fun night out.

Great game. Took my 6 year old grandson for his birthday. He loved the music between plays and all the action on the ice.

We had a great weekend with both Saturday and Sunday Games with great seats. All this with the Holiday Inn right next door and super shopping at The Boscov's just 1\\2 block away!!

The B-Sens kicked the snot out of the Phantoms. The score was 7-2 B-Sens. The arena was clean and the surrounding fans were pleasant, even though I was routing for the Phantoms. You can take the girl out of Philly........!

My biggest complaint was our seats. I unknowingly bought tickets with a half-obstructed view.Our seats were right next to the light control booth so we couldn't see over it. I ended up paying for the higher priced seats but we were forced to migrate upwards so that we could get an unobstructed view. And we had to move 3 times because those seats were rightfully someone else's. So embarrassing.Otherwise, the event was great. Lots of energy and emotion. Great show. First hockey game but sure won't be my last

My sister and I had a good view of the whole ice rink and be able see the whole games without interrupted. Sad to see our Phantoms lose to Senators but went on to beat the Albany Devils with a score 5-3.

This game was very entertaining. Good Hockey and the fan were knowledgable and friendly.

I t was a good game with a lot of action it has been a few years since I have been to a hockey game and it was a good time. I am sure if they had won it would have been a lot more fun.

If you ever have the chance to sit in Sec 1 Row A - don't do it. These were my seats for this game and they are in the row that has the control board for the scoreboard in it. Can't see around the stupid thing. Luckily, attendance was low, just moved to a different seat nearby.

Over the years, I have been to literally hundreds of hockey games. But, I always say that there aren't too many places better than Binghamton to watch a game, not a bad seat in the place. Although I'm a Philly fan and the Flyers affiliate (Phantoms) ended up losing in a shootout, we had a great time.

Great game experience. The venue is next to a parking garage for ease of parking, rink is small enough so that all action can be seen well and the goal celebration for the home team is fun and exciting. Plenty of food and drink to go along with game

I would actually like to know at least the name of the person who won the 50/50 not just a number that was pulled and wondering if it indeed was just a number. A little elbow room between the seat would be nice too, not everyone is thin and it kind of feels like you are almost sitting on your neighbors seat along with them. I don't get a chance to go to a lot of the games but I have been to a few, the penalty calling really lacked, on both sides but I mostly noticed it for the opposing team I saw a lot of tripping, and hooking that just wasn't called. But over all I did enjoy the game!!

It was an adult atmosphere-not appropriate for my 5 year old. I will not bring him again until he is much older. Most of the seats looked pretty good except ours. There was a huge black score station right next to us obstructing the whole right half of the rink. Avoid section 12 Row A. Will go again with my adult friends.

always entertaining. sound system abit tinny when loud but if your looking for the kids to have a great time it fits in well. the 20 min between periods are even entertaining.

was a decent time. wished Syracuse won. but you cant win them all.

I was simply appalled at the deplorable lack of sportsmanship in the senator fans. Booing when the opposing player was injured was just beyond unfathomable! What is wrong with the human race!?? It will be a long time before I think about going to another hockey game there.

I have not been a big hockey fan, but I now have to agree that is much better seeing it in person in a smaller venue where you can sit close to the action for under 100 dollars. The only other hockey game that I had been to , I stood in the "Standing Room Only" of a NHL hockey game (double nose-bleed section). The B-Sens kept the game close and I enjoyed the game.

Fun time - great game - exciting. I love hockey, but up until this game I had only seen the ECHL & College games in person. Being 1 step away from NHL was great!! I WILL be going again SOON!!!!

I was never really a big hockey fan. Although the Senators crushed the Syracuse Crunch it was a very intense game and I really enjoyed it! I can't wait to go again!!!

Great hockey game and experience! But wish the stadium had a better food selection.

We had ice level seats and unfortunately the view was obstructed. Just wish that we knew before we bought the tickets that the view would be obstructed (by the black tunnel where the opposing team enters and exits).

Sens won...who can argue with that. A+++++++++++++++++++

Very pleasant arena with good amenities, recently renovated, and nice opportunity for pre-game dinner (on hockey nights only) on 3rd floor at very moderate prices. Good location - walkable from downtown hotels; free parking at downtown ramps on weekends.

being timed to make purchases ruins the whole convenience of purchasing on line

The game was good of what I could see of it. I was in section 12 cc seat 7 when you looked at the game every thing above half was double vision because of the glass!

Great seats at a great game. I like the renovations they did to the arena, it's much brighter and much more comfortable. I'm definitely going back.

Went to see the Binghamton Senators play for the first time. Was a great experience, and would like to attend another game some time.

Two good teams fought it out with Binghampton winning with help from refs.Ref called penalty on Hershey for delay of game during powerplay to make it a 5 on 3 for Binghampton which eventually scored.That was the difference .Let them play at that point ,don't decide the match on a questionable call. Not a bad seat in Veterans memorial arena.Loved the local band .Good atmosphere for hockey .Arena is centrally located and if you stay at Holiday Inn , you can walk.

Good game with Monarchs winning it in 3rd period. Arena reminded me of old Baltimore Civic center; alot of personality and history.Stayed in HOliday Inn which is 100 yards away .Walked to game and did not have to pay for parking.Good experience all in all.

The Rochester Amerks were on the road to face the B-Sens. After falling behind 3-1, they fought back to tie the game in the third period. Broome County Arena is a small but friendly venue, and AHL games are great value for hockey fans. Many of the players have NHL time, or are bound to play there eventually. As an aside, it would be helpful if these smaller arenas explained where the will call window is, if not at the main gate. I got lucky here in Binghamton, not so much in an earlier trip to Syracuse.

Overall amazing location, great incredible seats for dirt cheap price! Absolutely recommend booking through ticket master on any future events!

Exciting game especially when they went into overtime and then shoot out. Sad Senators loss, but good game over all!

Great game. Ridiculous pricing by vendors. Parking was horrible. 25 mins to get out if State St ramp.

Couldn't go!! We were in the middle of a Winter Storm Warning. The roads in our rural area were not to be Travelled. We are out the money.

This was our first Binghamton Senators hockey game and it was a lot of fun. The arena is just the right size, letting you really pay attention and keep track of the game. Too many hockey arenas keep you far too set-back from the action. The bathrooms, concessions, and lines are all handled well. The nearby parking garage is a beast to get out of, so plan on either leaving early, or stopping off for coffee while the crowds thin out.

Excellent game...took my two sons to their first game...and it did not disappoint.

Great action, fantastic seats at super prices - if you enjoy hockey you'll love watching AHL games! We even found a parking spot on the street.

I love these games! They're the perfect idea for a fun and reasonably priced date night. The seats were the best! So worth the money :-)

Great seats, great game with good friends. Sens games are always a good time. Always entertaining when they play the Penguins.

Had an excellent time at Broome County Veterans memorial Arena in Binghamton for B-Send victory 4-2 over hamilton Bulldogs. Well-played game with lots of excitement. Seats were center ice, two (2) rows up form penalty box. They couldn't have been better if I had picked them myself, which is exactly what I did. The service which allows me to choose my seats on line is great! Even the requirement that I not leave an isolated ticket in the row worked out as we invited another foreign exchange student to accompany our little group. The kids, from Germany, had fun at their first AHL game.

My husband and I attend many home games by the Senators and this by far has been the best. The refs seemed a little slanted but that's nothing to shocking it's all part of the game. The guys play with all they have. It was the first game we took our 5 year old son to and he was lucky enough to get a puck that flew from the ice to us.

I always love watching hockey at the Broome County Arena. It is a classic minor league arena, having hosted professional hockey since 1973. Great crowd experience and lots of fun overall.

Kids need to be able to find themselves on the jumbo tron more. My kids loved it when they were dancing but were upset when they only put 1 kid up on the screen. We love going to the games and will be going to more.

The seats were great... right on center ice so we had a great view of all of the face-offs as well as all of the line changes as we were right behind the home-team's bench. Leg room is a bit limited and the seats aren't numbered so they were difficult to find if you're unsure of how the rows are numbered. All in all - a great experience.

If you want to see live hockey and don't care about the venue, then I would recommend this event. If you expect to be in a top notch arena and a clean, comfortable seat, I would skip this venue. I went to see hockey but was very disappointed in the facilities. I also attended Game 4 the night before and had "obstructed view" seats. Forewarned, if they say obstructed view, they mean it. I couldn't see one entire end of the rink (nor the goalie) thanks to the video screen and my tickers were NOT discounted.

Crowd was loud to watch an incredible hockey game at the Veteran's Memorial Arena in downtown Binghamton. The arena is a gem - small with the fans right on top of the action. Great downtown area as well! What a hockey town!

This was our first time back since the Icemen were here and it was great. Parking was easy and close, everyone was very helpful and the Devils have definitely made it theirs. Concessions and souvenirs are what you would expect with a few local favorites thrown in for good measure. It was a great time and worth the drive (2 hrs). If you like good hockey, check it out!

It was a great game especially for a first timer in watching hockey, but the best of B devils won. Family are happy

We are big Devils' fans, so we were excited to get to see their team in Binghamton. Despite the fact that they played terribly, we enjoyed the game and the arena. Parking cost $10, and in general, the prices for food and drinks were quite reasonable, especially when compared to the Prudential Center. The venue is comfortable and there isn't a bad seat in the house.

The devils lost but we still had a great time. The arena is a great place to enjoy a local hockey game

Love the atmosphere of the small arena. The crowd was good, the concessions were good and enough so lines weren't that bad. Good family event.

I took my wife and 2 children to the game. It was an awesome game going into overtime period twice. Prior to the game there were activities for the children such as sand art and a magician show that my children enjoyed. The best part of the game was the after game skate with the players. Even though the Senators lost the game (which they were totally robbed) they came out and signed autographs for the skating fans while skating. I will continue to go to the games not only for the sport but because of how the players connected with their fans.

A wonderful way to spend a holiday evening. We were able to watch and cheer our favorite AHL team to a victory. The guys all played well and the fans were wonderful. Can't wait to go to another game!

Great sightlines. Easy in & out of arena. Quality AHL Hockey. Friendly crowd. Cold beer. What more could you ask for?

Nice little arena in Binghamton. i went as a fan of the away team so i was a little unsure what to expect. but overall the seats were great and the action was exceptional. the home teams fans weren't as energetic as i thought they would be but thats the game, My Comets won 7-5 in a thriller.

Cozy venue, not a bad seat in the house...excellent pace to the game and skill level. Easy in and out.

This is a very nice location to watch a hockey game as there isn't a bad seat in the arena to watch the hockey game. Doors open 1 hour before the game! It has the old time hockey feel as it is a smaller venue. If you love hockey, you must see a game from here.
