COTA has produced Another Amazing Event. We frequent COTA for Formula 1, Pirelli World Challenge and too many concert to name here. You can expect us at MOTO GP 2019. Special THANKS to COTA for making a place for Military Veterans, providing a discount and being welcoming. The CR Tent is appreciated during Formula 1. Again, many many thanks COTA, RomanV

I love the track and the venue in general. I have trouble paying for fairly high price ticket when the coverage on the TV is more complete. At the track we only get a view of one or two corners at a time, I can't see the bikes numbers and you can't hear any of the announcer once the noise starts. If I could feel like I got the same coverage I would pick live at the track every time. Why only one brand of bike was represented in the dealer area?

The racing was flat out awesome. And the facility is impressive. Really nice venue, overall. Plenty of places to watch from given our General Admission seating, and it's pretty easy to get from one part of the track to another. Also, nice midway for the vendors. Plenty of stuff to see and buy. Downsides were mainly outside the track. COTA had blocks of rooms available at dowtown hotels, and had indicated on their website that a shuttle would run from downtown to the track all weekend, 7A to 7P. This was NOT the case. I ran into several others searching for the shuttle, and we wound up sharing cabs. Also, when leaving the facility, most people returned to the same spot where taxis had dropped them in the morning. Unfortunately, no one had notified the cab companies that there would be hundreds of people needing rides! It was a complete cluster. The customer service line at the track was staffed by people who didn't have any suggestions on how to get to/from the track. IMHO the logistics are part of the fan experience. If COTA wants to really fill the stands, they need to pay attention to this.

I had a blast. It was my first time at COTA and I enjoyed it a lot. The lay out was very user friendly from the ride in from parking to the ease of picking tickets from will call. The amenities were top notch never had to wait in a long line for the toilets. Food and beverages were a bit pricey but that is normal for events in Austin TX. Overall it was a great experience that I will gladly do again.

We arrived at 11 am, and I was thinking that parking was going to be a real hassle, but it proved to be quite easy. Pedi-cabs made life much easier too. I liked the General Admission tickets because it gave us great access to most all of the venue. Since we were "first-timers" it helped us get a feel for the place before dropping some more serious cash on seats. The expo booths by Ducati, Honda, Yamaha and others were great, and my son enjoyed playing on all the demo bikes including some smaller dirtbikes, etc. Noise wasn't a problem and we never got the ear muffs out of the bag. All in all, a great event from start to finish.

We bought a 3 day turn 15 grandstand seats as well as paddock passes. We sat in our purchased seats once. They were great but exploring the grounds for three days let us know that a general admin ticket is what we will get next time. There are SO many great grass seats!! Turn 1 was our favorite! We sat at turn 1, 18/19, 7/8, 10/11, 15 (which was 10-15) Paddock passes are great if you're spending more than 1 day. Everyone should experience the paddocks at least once. Sometimes you have to stand & wait but we got 4 or 5 autographs....one being Alex Marquez. Got to see Vinales, Lorenzo & Zarco. You won't see Rossi unless you have special VIP passes to meet him. I didn't meet one person who saw him UNLESS you are at the autograph signing & are first in line. It's like a mosh pit. Those up front get autographs. You're up against a gate/fence & the guys walk the fence to sign. So we just stood back & took pics. Got some good ones there! Parking. We paid for Lot F because it was close to our grandstand seats. Shuttles pick you up & drop you off. Really didn't have to walk much. But on race day it was packed! We knew we were sitting at turn 1 that day so we paid $30 for off road parking right before you turn into COTA. Best decision. That day it took us less time to & from track & car. Also took less than 5 min to get out. I wouldn't suggest doing that though unless you are just going for that one day. It was a great first motogp experience. COTA is beautiful! Clean. Great food. Great employees. I can't say enough about our experience!

Everything about the day was just about perfect, well except for a few moments where I rained and the sun was out making it really humid but other than that it was awesome. My club and I road out from San Antonio early in the morning and decided to take the new toll road SH 130, which was the smoothest road I have ever ridden on. With no traffic to slow us down we were able to make great time on our sports bikes, great time!. Parking left a little to be desired due to having to park at the main entrance which is the very furthest from where we would be sitting at turn 1. The venue itself was amazing along with all the venders I only wish I set more money aside and brought a few bags with me to take back home. The races were spectacular especially moto2 and 3 which has strong battle for top position just about the whole time. The DJ at the Red Bull truck was awesome in between races giving some great music to enjoy while we had lunch. All in all the only thing that could of made that day better was brining more brother and sister from my club with us so we could enjoy it as a family.

If you're up on who the riders are it'd be more entertaining. Unfortunately I only know a few rider and they go by so fast that it's hard to read the number son the front of the bike. Sad that more of the tv monitors weren't working for some reason, no excuse for that. And why did the track take down some of the bleachers in favor of more GA sitting on the grass? The bikes come by to infrequently due to the size of the track so theres a lot of down time waiting. It's an okay experience once but I don't think I'll be going back.

I have been to approximately eight races at COTA with this being my second Moto GP event. I by far enjoy the Moto GP races. These guys are insane! I am amazed at how these guys are constantly shifting their weight from side to side to go through corners, turns, 'Ss", etc. They literally drag their knees on most turns. Great action. Take your ear plugs as the big boys bikes are super load especially when running in packs. I always do GA tickets for all events I have been to there. I like being able to go to different viewing spots to get different perspectives. You are allowed to carry a chair in which is nice. If not a chair, take a blanket or towel and enjoy that way. The ri

I recommend this event only because it's the only MotoGP race in the USA. The track is beautiful, but the racers get easily separated and spaced out so there's not really any battles after a few laps. I watched MotoGP, Moto 2, and MotoAmerica and began to think this track is better suited for F1 races. MotoAmerica had much more exciting races, but that's probably due to having a lot less racers on the track. Even so, the other MotoAmerica races are more exciting than COTA.

Overall Moto GP races were great. Great overall track layout and facilities but according to riders the track is not up to race standards. COTA grounds staff were helpful, friendly and courteous. Ticket purchase was horrible for the second year in a row as I never received my tickets and after numerous phone calls with long wait times with both ticket masters and COTA I was finally told I would have to pick them up at the ticket booth. I ordered in January. Most food booths were fair but overpriced. Need to have more variety. Very few healthy or vegetarian options. Parking is horrible. Everyone are run thru one line that slows as the crowd fills in or out. Need to work on a system that allows parking closer to the gate according to your arrival time. More than one ticket taker please.

MotoGP never fails to impress! That being said, it was another cake walk for Marc Marquez -- he has dominated this race since the first one held at COTA. Everyone has their favorite rider; I like Valentino Rossi, however, I also like Marc Marquez. I respect both of them for the numerous championships they have won. I'm impressed with Dovi for giving Marc a run for his money in last years championship. Dovi is the first to put a Ducati in winning position since Casey Stoner. Now, I don't want Marc to lose a race because he fell or was penalized; I want someone to step up and take it from him. All sports get better for the fans when someone comes along and dominates the competition. Eventually someone will come along and beat Marc on a regular basis. For now, like it or not, we'll just have to watch (Alien) Ant dominate MotoGP.

The track, seating, parking is all very good. Some people think that it is great to have the same rider winning every year. I don t. I find that boring. Why go to the races if everybody knows who will win it. I have been here now 4 years in a row with allways same result. I will monitor some races this year and if MM93 is winning most of the races, I will not spend that much money again and will not come back.

The venue is awesome, the racing is great to see live, but for some reason, this year the printed schedules & the schedule posted on the app weren't followed. This is my 5th year attending this event & haven't seen this happen before. We showed up Sunday morning & were expecting to see the bikes practicing, instead, we were actually watching them finish the first race that wasn't supposed to happen for 3 more hours. We went to watch the freestyle motocross show, only to find out it had been cancelled altogether. We went to watch the trials demo but thought we wouldn't have enough time to walk over there. Only to find out it was running late & we would have had plenty of time to make the walk over. So we missed the first race, the freestyle motocross demo & the trials demo all because the schedule wasn't followed. First half of the day wasted. Since the schedule was off, we couldn't plan to do anything other than sit & wait for the next race since we didn't want to risk missing them. How hard can it be to simply update the app with any changes?

Disable parking is a bit far, and not enough carts to take you then to where you want to be. All the staff was helpful, did not always know the locations but they tried. Toilets were usable, but could have had a quick clean half day. There is plenty food and drinks, at a premium price. I think they should allow you to bring in 2 bottles of water each. How can a race track and its grounds look old after just five years of existence? I guess that's what happens when you don't put any money into it. Would have loved to take the tower tour had the elevator been working & would have gladly paid for that treat. It was broken, leaving people climbing 1000 steps. How does that happen on the second biggest weekend of the year? Most TV monitors were not working because the track owner doesn't want to pay for generator rental. So it was impossible to follow the action on almost the entire east side of the track. That's the best part of the track. No permanent restroom facilities on the east side of the track. Only a handful of filthy porta-potties.Not much grass to sit on, mostly rocky ground in GA sections. No shade. Would it be so hard to plant some trees? Few vendors, and the ones that are there are priced so high that starvation is an attractive option. $10 for two tiny tacos? $15 for a personal pizza from (ugh) Pizza Hut? No thanks. Expensive tickets. Expensive parking. Get gouged so much I feel like I need to just keep my wallet out the entire time. Skeleton crew of ushers, gate personnel, etc. No traffic control to speak of. This place is just an amateurish joke & it seems like they've run completely out of money and are just trying to hang on. Have to say I'm done with COTA. I'll go back to Barber, Indy, TMS, Daytona, Sebring, Road America, Hermanos Rodriguez, Mosport, the Glen, Long Beach, Laguna, Montreal, and numerous other tracks where it's obvious that they still care about fans, reinvest in the track, the grounds, and the fan experience, and aren't trying to nickel and dime the customer at every turn. 1 star, but I wish there was an option for zero stars.

COTA is a very well equipped circuit but for me due to its size and location of the grandstands it lacked atmosphere throughout the whole event. Despite the numerous choices of food stands we had to abandon the queue as it was taking too long on race day and we would have missed the start of the main race. That being said for the majority of Americans there that was not an issue, as the racing did not appear to be there primary motivation for being there. You really can't beat the atmosphere of the European GP's. However the racing as always was great from Moto 3 to the main GP as well as free practice and qualifying. For me the riders never disappoint and for that reason it was a great weekend.
