Monsters On the Beach

If you have a kid who is into Monster Trucks, this is the show for them. I have taken my son to an indoor show at a Coliseum and to this outdoor venue at the beach and this show was AWESOME in the words of my son. Well worth it, I will definitely be tracking this show for the next outdoor event.

Really kind of amazing. First time seeing monster trucks and it was very entertaining! Get family activity. You won t be disappointed! The beaxh was the perfect place to see it!

Monsters on the Beach was Awesome...Loud...and very stress relieving due to all the shouting you could get out!!! We all had our fav trucks and was really impressed with the 6 yr old driver... Wow!! 6 yrs old... and can drive in something like this event... We all wanted the KID to win... Really enjoyed the event and we will come back next year...

This was the first monster truck show that I have ever been to and it was fun! I brought my mother, son, and boyfriend and we loved it. I really enjoyed the evening show because the sun wasn't beeting down on us and it was relaxing to sit in the shade and enjoy the show.

It was ok for what it was. Would have been nice to have more of the Monsters on the beach. There were only 6 there and they didn't do a whole lot. I don't consider a monster truck show watching them race each other. I would have liked to see more jumps, freestyle time and all out car crushing. If someone wants to take younger children to see big trucks this would be the place.

If you like monster trucks, off-road racing, or are just looking for something a little different, this is a great family friendly activity. My young family went last year, so this time, the newness was little worn off. The most frustrating thing was the announcer - he was awful. For someone to announce a motorsports exhibition, He did OK with announcing the monster truck activity. But he knew nothing about what trucks were running in the stock class side by side races. He was calling Suzuki's "jeeps" (which was confusing because there were Jeeps in the competition), getting the lanes and drivers mixed up, etc. There was a trans am body on one vehicle, and throughout the night he called it a camaro, a firebird, and a trans am. Either he wasn't getting good infromation, or he just didn't know anything about cars and trucks. This was also a non-alcoholic event, but when one of the monster trucks broke an axle and was being removed from the course, the chicken dance song was played by the DJ and the announcer made reference to how to sing it while intoxicated. We've been encouraged by these events in the past, but this guy left a lot to be desired. But it was loud and fun.

it was ok. thought it was a lot of money for a little entertainment. if you are in a wheelchair or have a family member in a wheelchair, this not the event for you. there was no special seating or area for people in wheelchairs.

This has become our Mother s Day tradition. Great family fun! They always put on a great show!

First time going to Monsters on the beach and it was nothing like I had seen before. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend going because who doesn't love 10k lbs trucks doing jumps on the beach. The Pungo guys are top notch as well.

Overcrowded and nearly impossible seating. I saw SO MANY frustrated families who couldn't get a view of these giant monster trucks and yet we were just yards away from them. It would have been FAR better to get a hotel room with a balcony facing the show. Those people were enjoying themselves. Wasted $125 and my mother's day afternoon as my children were miserable. We do adventures every weekend and go with the flow. It was impossible to do so at this event.

It was a great time. The whole family enjoyed it. Monster truck rides was fun, freestyle and races were exhilarating. Best part was megasauras eating the car. The only downfall was depending on where you sat you didn't see everything or see the trucks play in the water. But is something we plan to see again

3 of the trucks were broken and out of the show before we even got the show started. so it was much shorter then we expected! also the will call tickets were a joke!!!!!!!!! one line and it took forever, we barely got into our seats before the show started!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We got to see monster trucks, off road vehicles and 4 wheeler racing all during 1 event.

I traveled from Pennsylvania to Virginia with my 2year old grandson for monsters on the beach and I will definitely be doing it again next year,it was such an amazing show. I have absolutely no complaints about the actual show itself but I do have 2 things I was very disappointed with. 1 my grandsons favorite monster truck is grave digger and he was not there. I think with him being the most popular in children he should be there. 2 I purchased a ticket for my grandson because nowhere could I find anything about him not needing one. I even emailed ticketmaster and asked if my 2 year old grandson needed a ticket and the reply I received was "everyone needs a ticket",so I purchased one for him,only to get there and be told he didn't need a ticket.

Beautiful view, awesome time! We are already planning on coming next year.

Bought these tickets for my husband and only son. We have gone as a family before but couldn't afford to all go this year. My son and husband loved every second of it , so much so ,calenders are marked already for next year

We went to the 7pm show in VA Beach, and myself and my son had a great time!

First off, the seats are first come first served and it seems like there were more people than seats available. You also have to get there early for a good seat. They have bleacher seats, so you have to climb over people to get to a seat. There are only 6 or 7 Monster Trucks at the event, and MOST of the time is spent watching amateur ATVs and beach trucks race. Out of the 2 hours (includes an intermission), there was maybe 30-40 minutes of Monster trucks performing.

Me and my family usually go to the monster truck show when their in town. So we decided to check it out on the beach and it was even better!!! We didn't have to wear our ear plugs that much. But we enjoyed ourselves and can't wait for the next Monsters on the Beach show.

It was an awesome show...should have gotten the tickets to see all 3 days of the show. Dont forget your ear protection!!! My 2 year old had a blast!!

This was my family's first time going, and we enjoyed it very much! Great event.. I'll be at the next one :)

the show was great, it was hard to hear the announcer at times but there was no shortage of action. My only issue is I should have gone at night... there was no shade and no breeze at the 2pm show and the sun was brutal. So... 4 stars for the show... and 1 star for my choice of times.

The trip was so amazing overall but the monster trucks are the reason we came to the beach that weekend and they were honestly amazing! My 1 yr old had so much fun, he jumped and screamed for them! Got all excited when they did jumps! He honestly had an amazing time and my 4 yr old also but she was tired and got so she didn't get into as much! We loved seeing the excitement on thier faces tho and they both were very into the dinosaur! That part was fun for the kids! Anyways overall we all four just had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone and everyone! All ages welcome. It was great!

Our Mother's Day weekend tradition for many years has been attending the oceanfront Monster Truck show in Virginia Beach. My grandson is growing up.but he (and we) still love them. Only suggestion would be to get there early. Weather has usually been great and the ocean breezes keep things from getting too hot in the stands.

Great show, enjoy it every year and it's never a disappointment. Can't wait til next year

My kids had so much fun seeing all the big trucks and we even got to take a ride in one of the trucks! Great mothers day!!

This is the 3rd year in a row that I have taken my grandson to this show (he is currently 5) and he was absolutely thrilled with the show this year (Saturday night showing). The organizers did a wonderful job putting a fun filled night together and the drivers sure didn't disappoint. Nothing better than watching the drivers play in the sand with these huge trucks. Highly recommend this show to anyone who even remotely likes monster trucks.

The experience was unforgettable. The drivers taking their time with the kids was very nice and Stone Crusher having his daughter sign autographs with him was very special.

There were not as many trucks there. One of the monster trucks turned over so that only left 6 monster trucks. If there had been more trucks it would have been better. Will not go back next year.

I went with my 5 year old son, who has liked monster trucks for some time. He absolutely loved it - He's just old enough to be able to wait between the shows and be able to sit in the bleachers for a couple hours. We also got the VIP tickets to meet the drivers and trucks - they were well worth the money.

The monsters on the beach show was amazing!! I have 3 little boys who haven't stopped talking about the monster truck show sense our vacation! We planned our vacation at Virginia beach so we could visit a friend. When we scheduled our hotel the front desk suggested we come to the monsters on the beach show for the boys! I think I enjoyed it just as much as they did! It made our vacation 3x more worth the trip! Tickets were definitely reasonable also! I'll never forget the look on my youngest face when the trucks came out... Priceless!

My family has been at this event for 8 years in a row now! Wouldn't miss it for the world!

On the beach was much better than in a coliseum. Lots more room for the trucks, which gives much more excitement. The children had a blast.

Great show for kids and adults, but even better on the beach!! Recommend watching from hotel balcony if staying overnight!

This was our second time seeing monster trucks & we absolutely loved it! Our first experience seeing them was indoors- by the end of the show we both had a headache and our ears were ringing.... Monster trucks on the beach blew the other show away! I would highly recommend anyone to make the effort to see them on the beach vs. indoors!

I had never attended a monster truck show but my two sons are obsessed so we thought this would be a fun weekend trip. The show was great! Loud but being outside helps with that. Beautiful scenery, obviously, as it's right on the beach. Best of all, the drivers all stayed at the end to sign autographs, which my boys loved. We're planning to go back next year!

We usually see Monster Jam every year in the indoor venue just like this year. So when monsters on the beach came around we decided it was time to see these super trucks outside and unrestricted. A let me tell you we will never do a indoor show again. This was by far the best show I have ever seen. The action was spot on. The meet and great was awesome and we will be back next year.

I really like the unique venue of Monsters on the Beach. These shows are a better than an arena show because they have more room to maneuver and get big air. The parking can be an issue. We got a spot for $10 for the whole night. Another great thing about this venue is that their is plenty to do before and after the event. Next year, I think we'll book a hotel room that overlooks the event for a bird's eye view.

This is our go to even each Mother's Day. The savages and I were excited to have the "full experience" this year. Getting up close and personal with the trucks was great. Watching the races is always great fun. This year the drivers really pulled out all the stops and put on the best show yet. Truck-a-saurus.... holy cow, breathes fire, eats cars, and burps... what more could you ask for?!?!? He comes out before intermission.... stay in your seats and don't miss this. Family friendly awesomest even ever. Will be back each year on Mother's Day for as long as they have this event.

My 3 year old son loved the show!! We bought the VIP package which I highly recommend, great seats and experience!!!

If you've got small kids, the Monster Experience is worth the extra money in that you get to meet with the drivers right there with their trucks, and you get the t-shirt and poster. The seats are just as cramped as the rest of the ticket holders. So, if you've got small kids and you have your bag full of "kid necessities," be prepared for it to be between your feet which are either turned to the side or spread eagle in front of you b/c the person sitting on the bleacher below you is so close. Seriously close. Get there early so you can sit higher up. And by early, I mean at least an hour early. I think the best seats are the hotel balconies. Even from the top bleacher, you still can't see behind some of the hills that are on the course. Hopefully there will be more trucks at subsequent events, but it was really cool for Avenger to be there with his main driver Jim Koehler. I didn't expect to recognize drivers since the venue was so small. But that was awesome. The drivers didn't disappoint, either. They drove hard and wrecked often. The megasaurus was pretty boring for me, but my toddlers thought it was neat. It did seem to take forever for it to tear the car apart, though. The 4-wheeler sprints were an okay filler, as were the truck races.

After living in Virginia Beach for about 16 years this is the first time I've gone to see this show and now I plan on going every year! I originally got tickets because I finally have a son and thought he would love it. He did, but my girls loved it just as much, but so did my husband and I!!! The show was filled with energy and entertainment. The jumps were awesome and unbelievable, the smaller truck races had you guessing who would beat whom and the ATV races had you on the edge of your seat on who was gonna win!

Yes it began to rain but the show on the beach, is by far better than any arena one that we have been to. Will be returning next Mothers Day!!!!

Awsum show! VIP tickets were worth the extra! So much better seeing the Monster Trucks on the beach than inside! No fumes, didn't need earplugs, and they had more room to do stunts and jumps.

Always love Monsters on the Beach. We have been going for 4 years. Was disappointed this year because the Mini Monsters that the kids drive did not perform in the Sunday show. My children were not happy because they knew that they performed in the other shows.

Loved it cant wait till next year! Just wondering what the next event will bring.

My husband and I have taken our children to many of the monster jam shows, but Monsters on the Beach was by far the best! The trucks put on a great show for the fans and so did the other performers at the event. The only complaint that we do have is the employees were very rude. My daughter and I experienced the rudeness as well as my husband and 2 sons. If you dont like your job FIND A NEW ONE! Other than that we had a great time and we will definatly be back next year!

The whole family had a great time. The local "racers" and the 4-wheelers with their "rivalry" act were pretty lame and time-consuming. Megasaurus and the big trucks were great, especially the freestyle. Kids really enjoyed the one-on-one with the drivers and their trucks before the show, the T-shirts and posters. Get the VIP package for this, it's well worth the extra $$$.

We drove up to Va Beach from High Point, NC specifically for Monsters on the Beach! It was the first time the rest of my family had seen monsters outside of an arena and the first time I'd seen them on the beach - I'd seen them outside at Augusta Expoland before. This show was awesome and our kids - ages 8, 13 & 15 - loved it! An outdoor setting is the best, no, the ONLY way to go. The beach is of course less restricting, there is no build up of exhaust to choke you like an indoor venue, and what's a better backdrop than the ocean and horizon? We'll go back in the future and will take friends/family with us!

Monsters on the beach is a really great event to take your kids too.... The only problem I have with the enent is, the show is exactly the same as it was four years ago. Tuff truck competition, four-wheeler riders and monster trucks. The best part of the show is the Freestyle. I feel they should change the course every once in a while or add more monster trucks. Over all, the show is a great family event!

I miss the show last year becasue I didn't know they have it. I got there just on time to see the end of the show and since then I decided I wasn't going to miss it this year. It is amazing how those big trucks can fly on the air. I will repet next year.

We had a great time. Megasaurus was awesome! We usually attend the indoor shows, but there was nothing compared to the wide open beach. I would have liked to see more trucks doing freestyle and car jumping competition with donut competition. The racing and freestyle were great. We watched a lot of 4wheeler and truck racing. Prefer more Monster Trucks. All and all we will be back next year!

This is the third year going, it was the worst only because of the way the stands were arranged, Normally we sat on the other side so you did not have the traffic, if they find some way to route everyone behind the stands it would improve the enjoyment of the show, but we found that we missed more than we saw. Not only from the crowd walking in front but there was a monster truck sign right in front of the action. On the flip side the action we did see was awesome! The four wheeler race was good and one of my sons got to help celebrate Virginia's win. The trucks could get some air! And on Sunday we walked the strip taking pictures of the trucks when we got to Grave Digger my youngest favorite truck. He start calling "Mr Brown!!! Mr Brown" He is 3 and Mr Brown came arround the corner it made his day he went over and hugged him. This by itself made up a lot for the poor view of the show.

All of the show was great. And the vendors were awesome with all the vehicles on display. My only complaint is everyone walking in front of the bleachers during the show. People on the lower rows couldn t see for people walking back n forth.

The show was good, we really enjoyed it. The price wasn t too bad at $15 a piece but added up with total fees. Wouldn t recommend sitting in the front row on the bleacher seating due to people walking in and out and blocking the view. Other than that it was a fun experience and my son had a blast!

It was an amazing show can't wait for the next one!!

Got here a little early got good seats, both my boy's enjoyed the show, our first time going, been wanting to take my oldest for years and never got the chance to do it, til this year. Even though it was very hot out the show was amazing, the riders/driver's did a great job in the show

A great time! The monster trucks had a high attrition rate but the pit crews kept coming thru to ensure they would be able to get back out for next show. These trucks are the best of the best and they free styled with the pedal to the metal! Also fun was the street driven trucks and the quad races. I recommend highly! Va. Beach does a great job helping out with set up. A clean venue and family fun!

Monster trucks were great, but there wasn t many of them. Many broke down and it was overall disappointing for the amount of time and money it costs.

We have been to many monster truck shows and every one of them has been a memorable and amazing experience. This was hands down the worst one. I spent so much between the hotel and tickets and ended up sitting behind a sign and trashcan and could barely see anything. My 8 yr old son was so excited and anytime he stood up to try to see , again because there is no assigned seats, he was told to sit down. The metal bleachers were so umcorfortable we had to leave bC my 61 yr old mother could not sit on them bC the people behind us kept kicking and stomping and at one point dropped snow cone down her back. I will never recommend this show to anyone Ecspecially to someone who has kids that love monster truck shows because this was a complete disappoint to my son. What a horrible and money wasted experience!

There's no better way to watch monster trucks than with the Atlantic Ocean as their backdrop. The Saturday evening show is always perfect.

We had a awesome time watching Monster Trucks ripping and roaring on the beach. They had lots of space to really show the fans what they can really do. We really enjoyed the show and will probably go back for years to come.

We have gone to the bash at the beach for 5 years!!! love it even if we got rained out last year half way thru the event. Just starting to lose points with me with not having major trucks there multiple years in a row and the shirts this time with their cartoon print was not even cute :( still will go every year but hopefully will improve again!!

The event was great. It captured my six year old son attention from the start.

More time for the monster trucks, took too long between each round of monster trucks. My kids kept asking me when the big trucks were going again. It was extremely hot, may not have been so bad if it wasnt so hot

WOW, the show was just amazing and keeps getting better. The only thing I miss is seeing Grave Digger out there. Wish he would come back to this venue.

Since my grandson was about 3, we have made it a Mothers Day tradition to attend the "Monster Trucks at the Oceanfront" show...it's a fun activity to do together and it never disappoints. Great day at the oceanfront!

The drivers were amazing with my son. They signed his shirt and were great!

The Monster trucks were awesome. The kids loved it and my husband had the best time.

Great show! I don't understand why this event isn't promoted by Feld so all the big guys could be there. I don't think there is a better venue than the oceanfront!!!! Beats the heck out of going to some small coliseum where they can barely get the throttle opened up! That's my only complaint. Not enough trucks

We had an awesome time, as always. The show was great and the trucks can really tear down on the beach as opposed to the coliseum. We made a weekend out of this trip, what with the beach and all, couldn't have been better. My daughter absolutely loves monster trucks and looks forward to this trip every year!

We have been going to Monsters on the Beach for the past 5 years! Love it! We went to Saturday's show...only go to see 4 freestyle (Out of 8) but Hooked made up for only seeing 4

Took the family to Monsters on the Beach I'm Va beach. All the kids had a blast! We thought we were gonna miss it bc of weather but it cleared up just in time! It was super exciting and the kids faces were priceless!

So much better than seeing this show in Richmond. I'm glad we went!

I had never seen the monster trucks before so seeing them for the first time was exciting to me, but seeing them on the beach doubled the excitement. We got there early enough to be able to choose seats rather than "take what you can find"... the stands near the entrance had already filled up so we did have to go to the other end to get the top row we wanted but we think they were the better seats for the best view of the trucks doing their stunts. Great entertainment! Would definitely do it again.

The Monster Trucks were great! But thw seats were not assigned like it makes it look on the tickets. Its bleacher seating and unless you got there super early...the good seats were few and far between. Overall it was fun!

Awesome event. Definitely going again next year. The VIP tickets were worth it!

I had a blast it was thrilling as trucks raced and jumped and bounced. noise and vibrations and screams were great fun. We got there right before it started and still had awesome seats.

My family & I went to Monsters on the Beach purely for my 3 1/2yo son. Once we arrived we all realized that this would be a "family event" for us. The VIP experience was nothing like I was expecting. To get that up-close-and-personal with the trucks and drivers was a highlight for my son, even if some of the drivers didn t seem all that into it . The monster trucks were simply amazing! Just the engineering involved in them was enough to keep me entertained. The tough trucks was a cool bonus to the event. However, the quad events overall were pointless. The racing aspect was good, but the soap opera storyline was just plain stupid. Would I recommend this event to someone else? Yes & I already have. We have already made tentative plans to go back next year even in spite of the quad soap opera.

My son absolutely loved the Monsters on the Beach and said it was the best day ever! Very exciting show that kept your attention the whole time. My son is 6 and had no problem standing through the whole show...it was that exciting for him! Thanks for the awesome memories!

Pretty good show, but disappointed that Grave Digger and/or Sons were not there! Impressed with the HIGH jumps over the school buses! Those of you with children - HAVE THEM WEAR EAR PROTECTION! These trucks are severely LOUD!

I went last year and couldn't wait to go this year!!! I persuaded my friend to go with me. Not far in the rain started. Only the regular trucks were doing anything. Then the motorcycles did a little bit. I was surprised the Monster Trucks didn't do anything. Then the event was called off because of lightening coming. I was sad because it only lasted 15 minutes and cleared up. And we didn't see the Monster Trucks do a thing.

Wow! What a show. I took my 2 year old boy to see the monsters for the first time in person. What a great venue...not to loud for young kids. We were able to ride on a monster truck on the beach. And it is worth the VIP ticket cost for the children to talk to the drivers and see the trucks up close. And I can't say enough about the drivers, how great they are with the children. My son loves big foot and Dan runte....we were there early for the monster experience and Dan runte spent 20 plus minutes with just me and my son giving us a tour of the big rig! What a great memory for me to hold on to!!

I wasn't sure if my son would like monster trucks because of being so loud, so we opted for this instead of in a coliseum. Well, unfortunately we got there late, so could not find a seat, ended up all the way at the far end of the course and right in front of a speaker so of course my 3yr old sat clinging to me covering his ears for the whole 30 minutes we were there, and the seats we got were bottom of the stands, so we could not see over the "fence". We went ahead and left so my son wouldn't be traumatized too much, he had more fun playing on the beach!

Event was good. Staff was rude and unprofessional!

I have been to monsters on the beach two years in a row and this was far by the worst event ive ever been to so far. Seems like all they wanted to do is sell the most tickets possiable. People were cramed on bleachers like sardines in a can. Then the rain came about a hour into the show and they cancled the rest of the show for 15 min of rain. Not worth the 80 dollars and 10 dollars to park. My kids were pissed and i had to find another way to spend the rest of our day. Either get hotel and watch all weekend or watch from boat thats your best bet. Monster on beach sucks.

The event was fun! We enjoyed oursefl however they pack you into the stadium like sardines and I DID NOT LIKE THAT!!!!! I felt like we were sitting on top of each other. But never the less I would go again because it was fun! Just wished they would have done more doughnuts. My 2 yr old enjoyed the motorcross. My 8 yr old was upset because gravedigger was not there :(

A must see show incredible!! 2:00 show Sunday was awesome!

There were obviously too many tickets sold to this event since everyone was jammed in the stands together with little or no leg room. If you are taller than 4 foot then you absolutely had your knees in the person in front of you!

First 4 rows are useless. Can't see over the constant people walking back and forth. Show may have been good but I could nt see it! $40 wasted. If you do it, be willing to show up 1 1/2 hours early and sit high in the stands. My son is to young to sit that long so if its not assigned seating we are out!

17 members of our family went to this show. They traveled in from Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Up State New York just to see this event. For some it was their first time, some 2nd & some 3rd. This event just continues to amaze everyone who attends. All of the drivers are truly top notch professionals who give you the most spectacular display not just of their trucks but their love of the the fans who've traveled to see them compete. It's a no holds barred event thats guaranteed to keep you comming back.

This was a fun show. The bleachers were packed, made it hard for my 4 year-old to watch. Also, it started to rain so they ended the show early but didn't compensate in any way. I felt that this was a little unfair and disappointing.

The event itself was good. Fast paced and entertaining. A lot of breakdowns, but that can't be helped. The Monster Experience was rushed and boring. We did the Monster Jam at an indoor venue with different trucks, and the drivers were more friendly and interactive. The event itself was worth it. The security and people working the stands were terrible. They were rude and not helpful at all. If they don't like people, they should find a different line of work. One mom was trying to unpack her child and necessities from her stroller. She was clearly doing her best. Security told her she had better move quicker or she was going to be escorted out. The guy was so loud and made such an unnecessary scene. Umbrellas should not be allowed in the bleachers.

Monsters on the Beach was great for the kids. We took our 4-yr-old and 2-yr-old for the afternoon show, and the meet-n-greet in the morning. They loved getting to touch the trucks and tires in the morning, and both did fine during the show with the noise. We brought our own headphones to protect their ears from the noise, but you could buy earplugs there if you forgot to bring your own. I highly recommend paying the extra for the meet-n-greet and assigned seats. We were not packed into the stadium seats like other sections, and we had fantastic views right in the middle of the event. The afternoon show was very hot, so our youngest had to leave partway through the show. Next year, I think we'll do the night show instead since the temperature won't be so hot for the kids.
