Safe in Sound Festival

If you are into dirty bass in your face then don't hesitate to go to this festival! Safe in sound was by far one of the best concerts I've been to in awhile. Adventure Club Flux Pavilion Excision and Zeds Dead were all unforgettable but I must say Architekt Terravita and Uz definitely head their own against the "Heavy Hitters" Architekt started things off and put everyone is a pretty joyful mood with some great house tracks followed by Terravita who I did not expect much from and I highly underestimated them. They could have been a headliner with the performance they put on last night. After Terravita threw some of their own style on some dubstep favorites such as Zomboy- Nuclear and many others Uz came on stage and switched the scene up with some much wanted trap music! Adventure club was amazing hands down after seeing them at moonrise festival and now safe in sound this year they are slowly becoming one of my go to artists to listen to lately. Flux Pavilion blew me away with classics such as Goldust and Cracks which are some of the first EDM songs I've ever listened to! Then things got DIIIRRRTTTYY when excision step foot on stage. I never experienced excision with 150k watts of bass. When I heard him open up with his beginning to the very popular shambhala 2014 set I lost all composure! I went insane to say the least! He also played half of the destroid album in this set! But when Devience Dirtyphonics mix came on and I heard the winding of the gears and then "DROP IT" I believe I was taken to another universe because I wasn't controlling my body.. It was moving in ways I haven't moved since I was a kid! But enough about me back to the concert! Zed's Dead was the headliner obviously and I saw them at moonrise and didn't think the set could have been any better but I was wrong. They completely topped the moonrise performance in every way! The visuals the bass and the set were all epic! Hadouken, lost you, collapse, where are you now, adrenaline, bassmentality, eyes on fire, coffee break, and much more. They shut down the festival! With all that being said I had such a great time!

It started out ok... however the artists chosen were not adequate in my opinion as it felt that they were playing the same song for 5 hours. If you're choosing to call an event a festival then you 1) make it last longer and 2) choose different genres of music to play. It would have been great if say, Trap music then big house, then trans. Not just trap music all night long. It became monotonous and boring by midnight.

Wamu kills it with the sound sytem, separate stage set ups, and the acoustics are aces! The venue itself is bass/trap is a winwin! Rage on Safe n Sound@Wamu! :)

SO many good vibes, so many friends new and old, so many perfect moments overall such an unforgettable time. Safe In Sound was truly an ultimate experience, just wish it went longer especially for the price I paid.

i've seen Adventure Club three times, and this was their second best. I loved Destroid and Flux Pavilion.

The DJ's where fantastic as always and destroid killed it! My problem with the event is how short it was. It seemed like each DJ was only playing 30-40 minute sets, rather then an hour each I've experienced at every other electronica show. In addition, the 21 and over area was kind of a bummer, however I understand the need to section off the alcohol. I also would have liked to see a list of the order of DJ's before hand. I expected Flux Pavillion to headline, and was dissapointed to show up around 9 only to have him wrapping up his set. Overall, not worth the $70 a ticket by any means, will skip it next year.

Best show i have ever been to! Sound was amazing, bass was beast! Security was perfect, and girls were gorgeous!

At one point the sound whent out and destroide I believe did a free style rap to the beat of our claps! The whole event was perfect! Amazing! Magical! Even standing in the rain waiting was worth it! Loved it! The only other downside was it only lasted 5hrs :( it should have definitely lasted longer!

Show was awesome!!! Security was a joke, Pro Staff is probably the most unorganized and unprofessional security company I have ever encountered. I've gone to other USC events, such as Paradiso at the Gorge and although it took forever to get in the doors, their search was very thorough. At Safe in Sound, anything and everything went straight on in. Which I guess is good if you're trying to have a good time, but walking through a cloud of meth, was pretty crappie. Great show, crap for security.

There were a ton of awesome people and the music put everyone in a really happy mood. This was my first rave and I gotta say...I had a blast! Definitely gonna look up some more in Washington and hit those up too! Definitely worth experiencing.

The entire night was amazing, the entrance was extremely easy and I raged my face off!

Thought id try something new and boom! Had a time..

After waiting to get in for an hour and 40 mins the line was not yet over as it was a big line to do anything and everything! The space used was way to small for the amount of tickets sold to this event, and i certainly hope cemetery of sound is more organized and in the larger banquet room of the bmo centre!

I had fun listening to the music!!! That was the best part!! But I paid for VIP and didn't see any difference from what everyone else had! There was people smoking on the floor, drinks spilled everywhere on the floor and drinks spilled on us!! No room to stand, no separate space for VIP! Not like any VIP I have ever been to! Disappointed!

The entire event was sick. I went for Adventure club and went nuts for everyone. Very crazy tri cities had better top that line up for the next edm event.

It was nonstop craziness from beginning to end. There was a great lineup, great atmosphere. Go if you have the chance!

Safe in Sound fest has never let me down! I always have a great time every year that I've attended.

I enjoyed every minute of it I loved how feed me played an entire deadmau5 song strobe and nightmere and borgore was amazing first time seeing all the dis there and I will definitely see them again

Safe In Sound was my first ever rave & it was an amazing experience!

I was excited getting here, but getting into the venue sucked. They checked your bodies which was normal, and your shoes. Great. But now you can only have clear bags or wallets/clutch? My bag was very small and I allowed them to check the convents, but still refused. If this has been normal for the past year, then that sucks. I went to one last year and had no problems bringing a small bag. That was lame. Other people are still going to bring drugs in regardless. In a few years, what are they gonna do next? Body cavity searches? Then inside people could only sit on chairs at the tables because sitting on the ground indicates that you're messed up. Really? The people sitting on the chairs looked messed up. Nghtmre and San Holo and the other guys were great, then came Borgore and I was excited to see him, but it was such a disappointment. The crowd was great though, no one was being a total ass. I think I'll stick to smaller raves until someone makes it worth my while.

Musically, this was the best EDM concert i have been to. All of the performers were on their game and it was a great night. The people were friendly and the venue was super clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

This was a very average show. Half of the sets were unimpressive and the stage was extremely underwhelming- it was small, there were almost no lights, and because of the way 2 of the screens were angled the view from anywhere but the center was bad. It also attracted a very aggressive, touchy crowd. The saving grace was that the sound quality was absolutely fantastic.

It was an amazing line up. An amazing show. It was good times through the entire time. Borgore and NGHTMARE alone with LAXX put on one of the best sets I've ever seen

There is no other way to explain the event besides amazing. Every artist was wonderful and knew what the crowd wanted. The HOB Boston is not usually my venue of choice but this time around it was a blast.

I went last year and had an absolute great time with Destroid. This year, I got to enjoy some favorites like Datsik, Zomboy, Terravita and Excision. Zomboy stole the show I would say (especially when that mix of Dolphin on Wheels dropped) and the crowd was amazing. This was a great show, and I was so happy I could make it for the second year!

Everything about Safe In Sound festival was absolutely fabulous. Except where was the coat check? It's October it's cold outside!

The lineup was incredible and the bass was bumping all night long. Great time with amazing people.

To be quite honest, my expectation for safe in sound this year wasn't too high because I had gone last year and it wasn't all that amazing last year, but because Bro Safari was coming this year, I had to buy tickets to see them and I'm so glad I did! This year was AMAZING! It's pretty much in my top 2 for the best events I've attended. I can't really explain to you how I felt at the show because I don't think I can properly describe how good it felt to be there with everyone else. It was really crowded but that was due to it being sold out and now everyone that didn't attend, is hoping to go next year. I had a good run in with the staff, they were all really nice and friendly, making sure you were okay. I might have hit on a fire fighter that was standing around haha. I'm so curious to see who will be coming next year! Definitely looking forward to the next SIS.

Hands down the single greatest night of my life. The energy, the sounds and the gorgeous sights(wink wink nudge nudge). Meeting up with completely random people, dancing our hearts out was a high i will never forget! Hell id love to meet some of those people outiside of the event!

Been raving for over a year and it was by FAR the BEST SHOW!!

Water station lines were very disorganized. I also could not bring in my camelbak. Water is a necessity at these shows and it seems like they strive to regulate it as much as possible. They need to rethink this. Overall the show itself was amazing. The best safe in Sound yet.

For me, every aspect of the event was OUTSTANDING! Event staff was relaxed, polite, and professional, and best of all, most were also enjoying the music as well. I didn't notice as much P.L.U.R., nor did I see any drama, hot heads, jackasses, etc., with the exception of the stuck up females who think they can rough their way through the crowd. Yes, FEMALES, male participants, in my experience, were FAR more polite and courteous as they passed through the crowd. Females on the other hand, were literally throwing elbows in people's backs, mine included. But overall, the event, the artists, staff, everyone involved seemed to have a GREAT time, I know I did!

So loud, crowd was electric, can't wait for next year

I'm not really a basshead, I like house, but my GF went, so I decided to go as well. Great decision! Quick entrance, bar staff was friendly as can be. Music was awesome, space was adequate, sound and atmosphere was amazing. Would definitely go again!

I could have stayed hours later and continued to dance my pants off! Datsik, Zomboy, and Excizion were amazing. Best show I've been to all year!

The concert was top notch and the people were friendly. My only complaint was that there was only one station to refill our water bottles. There was always a huge line and took up to 20-30 minutes just to refill a single bottle making people miss large sections of the show.

It was a fun show! I love the aragon ballroom and edm.

I had a lot of fun at this show. It was my first time at Safe in Sound, and I brought two of my friends that were also first-timers. Great music and good vibes. I'll definitely look forward to going again the next time Safe in Sound comes back to Pgh.

The line-up was amazing for bass-music. It's exactly what I would want -- the only additionals that would make it even more amazing for the next year is maybe Excision, Wuki, or Bassnectar -- but the addition of NGHTMRE was great! The reason for the reduction of 2 stars is two fold. 1) Food and drink prices are a bit ridiculous at $13 for a Yuengling and about the same for food 2) Security/inconsistency is always a damn issue. The website was so strict stating no sealed water bottles, sealed chapstick and cigarettes only, no hula hoops ETC. Come to find that they were plenty of hula hoops in the venue -- which is a big deal to some people . Either allow them, or be consistent with your rules. This affects your customers. I know people that don't even go to shows with such restrictions. That would be a larger sale to you, if you were more clear about the do's and don'ts ..

The lineup for this show here in Pittsburgh was amazing. I also loved how every artist got an hour to play. Defintely beats big festivals where you're running around trying to catch everyone for a decent amount of time.

Awesome event for dub lovers. Only way it could have been better was if excision was there!

Show was good, wish it hadnt ended early at 1200am. Didnt like that other venues had more performers and longer play hours. Made me feel like I payed same price but recieved less for my money, which is unfortunate.

Awesome experience! Along with the amazing PK sound, the free coat check really helped those smart enough to wear jackets. Conscience Crew was so helpful checking on those who needed it. Wamu's staff was a little crabby, but reasonable when it's that busy. Overall we had an amazing night and I'd love to attend again.

Safe in Sound was absolutly amazing! Everything from the rather quick entry, sound system, and performing artists, this was an awesome show! A++ rating in my book.

Such a great event! Destroid was the highlight of that night for me!
