Sean Paul

The whole crowd was up dancing and singing. Nice mix of old and new music. Love Sean Paul. Will go to his next concert. This theater was absolutely gorgeous and no matter where you sat you had an excellent view of the stage.

Sean Paul is a great singer love all of his songs and his dancers was great.

It was cool to see Sean Paul live. And i enjoy that reggae sound. But the show was way to quick. It was only an hour long. From what I heard since it was an all age show it had to be over at 9:30 for curfew reasons. Just what i heard. Then again S.P. does not have a long playlist either. Then he never even said goodnight good bye or anything like that. Usually from past experience the artist will do that until the crowd calls them out for an encore. Well this crowd just stood around so i guess i wouldnt come out either. Cool to see the show but jsut ended poorly. That is why i give it 3 stars.

I am a huge fan of Sean Paul and have travelled to Jamaica on numerous occasions in hope of seeing him perform. This is only my second opportunity to see him and I am very pleased with his performance. My only regret is that he didn't stay longer. I initially thought he was only going to perform songs from Imperial Blaze, but was pleased to find he did songs from all of his CDs thus far. Sean Paul, in my opinion, is the epitome of sexy so this review may be biased. :-)

Doors opened at 6:30, show was supposed to start at 7:30. The onening act came on stage around 8:00 did a few lame songs. After about a 10 minute break, Sean Paul came on stage. Don't get me wrong, he was jammin', but the whole show was over by 9:00. You couldn't even stay in the venue to hang out for a few minutes afterwards. I drove to the show from Gurnee. It took longer for travel time than the actual concert. This is ridiculous. I don't know if the concert ended so quickly because of him or House of Blues. I heard a staff member tell some people who were complaining not to blame them, but I also heard another HOB staff member saying they needed to hurry up and get everyone to exit because they had a curfew. And the valet parking was also very disappointing. When I pulled in I asked the parking guy if it would take a long time to get my car after the show. He said no, that I'd be outta there within 10 minutes. That was not the case. First you had to wait in a super long line for 30 minutes to pay your parking fees of $26 to an automated box, then your car came out about 15 minutes later. So to wrap up, I spent 45 minutes driving each way, saw a show for an hour, and waited about 45 minutes for my car. That's just crazy! Some suggestions: Don't have the show be 16+; 21+ is much better. Play music of the same genre before the show to keep the crowd pumped! Choose an opening act of the same genre. ANd let people stay afterwards; dj music would suffice. But paying $26 for parking for an hour show is bananas. I would have loved to stick around and hang out with my friends for a while after the show. Bottom line: I don't think I'll ever go to a show at HOB ever again. Nor will I pay to see Sean Paul, who I've loved for over a decade. SAD!!!

Sean Paul was a disappointment. The production was poor, the sound was not great and the performance was short, uninspired and I felt that I threw my money away. The same group of us went to see Matisyahu recently and it was a brilliant production. Sean Paul played a half an hour and one encore was a repeat of a song he had played within the last fifteen minutes.

It says it starts at 9 , dude didn't perform till after 1:30 for 45 min. What kinna concert was this. I gave it 2 star coz the dj and the venue was awesome, if it wasn't for that would have been gone a long time ago . This was supposed to be advertised as a Sean Paul appearance instead of a concert . It was so disappointing b/c he is such a good artist with nice songs

Door Opening @ 9pm, went there at 9:30pm, Sean Paul arrived on stage at ~1am and left again at 1:45pm, so he performed less than an hour, playing maybe 6-8 songs. All in all it was a expensive admission to a random disco night where the main concert of sean paul was so short and poor (didn`t really carry the audience, left suddenly after less than an hour playing, back half of the floor was so empty that there was no concert atmosphere) that I`d never visit a "concert" of sean paul here again. You better go to any club in DC where you get the same music and a performance that every good DJ could do the same way or better. The floor is nice,though. Good sound & light show. I can imagine a normal club night is fun there, but not for $30 waiting 3.5 hours for main concert.

Sean Paul is probably my favorite artist - I have wanted to see him for years and hadn't had the opportunity until now. I was so excited! I arrived at the venue at 9 (doors open), and assumed he would play around 10, or perhaps 11. Not only did he not show up until 1am, but he also only performed for about 45 minutes. Very disappointing. I didn't expect his performance to be super long, which is fine, but waiting while standing for 4 hours (longer if counting the line outside the venue) to hear 45 minutes of performance is just disappointing. I think I can officially say now I am "over him".

Sean apparently prefers to be backstage lighting up then entertaining fans. Came out around 1:15p. Was "singing" along his tracks. Seemed high and drunk. Dj had about one hr of music he popped for 4hrs waiting on sean to come out.

Everything was good but he showed up very late around 1:30am!!!!

Sean Paul didn't come on till after 1am.. They kept trying to "hype" up the place and it was awful.. once they actually DID play a good song they would cut it off to have some chick, I'm not sure what her name is, come out to talk.. Maybe to stall for him? Not sure. All I can say is I was disappointed and wish I could get my money back.

Everyone was frustrated that Sean Paul started the concert 4 hours late... Who starts a concert at 1am.

Came out late. Did not even sing. I went there just for him to say his name.

Ticket said 9pm but the show didn't start untill 1am. He only performed for one hour. Show was horrible.

Echostage is a nice venue and I appreciate the security and how organized it was. My biggest disappointment was that Sean Paul did not come on stage until 1AM. Doors open at 9AM and by the time he came out, I was ready to go home. I will never go to any of his concerts again.

Echostage with Sean Paul was actually my first time there. The DJ was great, but the star of the show only came out around 1:40 in the morning. I do not know if it usually like this, but I know that I went there for Sean Paul not Echostage in itself. In the end I guess I liked the location better than the concert.

I paid $62 for my boyfriend and I to enjoy the Sean Paul concert. The doors opened at 9 and we arrived at 10:30. Paid $10 for parking, another $10 for coat check, and $8 for a beer. We left at 12:30 because Sean Paul had yet to hit the stage. The dj did not do a good job of keeping the crowd entertained. The hype man kept saying Sean Paul is back stage but I'm not bringing him out yet. I asked the bartender when should I expect Sean Paul to come on and she said between 11-12. It was 11:30 when I asked her. I found a family friend who works for the club and he informed me that Sean Paul wasn't coming t on stage until 1:30.

There was no opening act, concert was said to start at 8 and not a soul on stage until 9:30, then he only performed for an hour! Good thing the tickets were cheap, otherwise I would've been pissed! He put on a good show, don't get me wrong.... but it was WAY too short and w/o even an opening act.

Fun to dance to, but it wasn't much of a show. The sound wasn't so good.

Love his music. Wish he had some guy back up dancers with the girls. It was a little hard to see from all the way in the back. Would of liked if they offered to sell VIP seats closer to the stage.

This was really the badest concert i have ever booked. We left at 11.00 pm up to that the concert was not started. Only third class musicans gave their best....

Liked the show, my ears were ringing for 3 days. My favorite thing was the dancers, they were very good.

Sean Paul rocked Jannus Live on Saturday night.....amazing show by an amazing performer!!!!!

I am so glad I went to this show - it was amazing! I had the best time. Sean Paul was great, and he worked his ass off. The band was awesome, too. He had two dancers, and they were just astonishing. I highly recommend this show if you like fun, if you like to dance, if you like good dance hall music. I definitely agree with the other reviewers, the opening acts were awful. My advice - find out what time Sean Paul will hit the stage, show up like 30 minutes ahead and skip all that nonsense.

He came out 3 hours late, couldnt understand what songs were playin the sound system was so bad, and when he threw his tshirt in the crowd I grabbed and his bodyguards ask i return it cause he needed something to wear, worst concert ever.

Show advertised for 7pm sean paul took the stage at 9:45pm there was no seating, sucked to stand there waiting so by the time sp took the stage the crowd was almost already partied out or tired

I love his music and the way he performs. I was loving every minute of it. He sang his new songs and then his old songs. Not many artist do this now a days. I got my monies worth on this concert. I've been to too many concerts paying $400-$700 a ticket and was never satisfied, but Sean Paul is the only artist I know that puts up an awesome performance and sings all his songs!! I love him!!!

Thank god the opening "acts" weren't a direct reflection of how Sean Paul was going to perform. OMG. Train wreck. Screaming. Amateur hour. Concert started at 8pm. Sean Paul didn't come out until about 11/1130pm. Even the MC was running out of things to do and say and we saw him actually go up to the other MC and give up! Sean Paul was AWESOME. Sang a great blend of new and old songs. Even though this wasn't a huge venue he should still invest in ONE worthy opening act instead of several crappy ones.

I have enjoyed many a night at revolution. So when I heard Sean Paul was going too be there I was stoked. But I did not enjoy any of the opening acts, which there were WAY too many of in my opinion. we also had to wait a long long time for Sean to finally come out and the whole time the MC was yelling into the microphone and totally killing the dance flow. as far as sean Paul's performance went I'd say it was OK. not bad but not great. definitely not enough bass.

Sean Paul was extremely entraining and played well to the crowd. He played all his "hit" songs some re mixed. The remixes were very fresh!! He was very interactive with the crowd!!! He also sounds very good live! He was full of energy for the entire show!

Such a great event! I enjoyed other singers, too. But I wish Sean Paul was there from 7:30 on.

Sean Paul put on a very good performance. He did not stop for a break. He sang all of his hits, the only hiccup was he did not come out for an encore. But, he left it all out there and that's what you're looking for, the artist to give it his all. The crowd was well behaved, the theater was beautiful as always

Great Show. Small venue so any seat was a good one. He played all his major hits and ones he was featured on. Danced and had a great time!

I forgot how many songs Sean Paul is featured on. He did well enough, the sound quality was good. Nearly every seat is a good seat.

He had the hits, the energy, the swag, the moves. Overall a party from the start. I would see him again and again.

The show surpassed my expectations..Sean Paul sang all his hits and even had Becky G come to sing their new song. Show opened with Walshy Fire who was great! The Kings Theatre was also just a gorgeous venue with very good sound! Would definitely see SP again and go back to this theatre!

While Sean Paul was amazing, the show itself felt disjointed...opening acts seemed late, dancers performing in between would begin an act, then just stop...announcer was overcompensating for all this. It would be nice to see Sean have a professional opening to reflect how wonderful he was.

I drove 4 hours, spent $250 on hotel and bought myself and 2 friends tickets and Sean paul didn't even come on stage. The night club was dead smh

I went with the intention that sean paul would be there and perform a few songs. He showed up at about 230am, talked for 5/10 mins and left with his entire group.

Love Sean Paul. Loved his performance but when something is promoted to start at 9 it should start at 9! if I jst needed music to dance to I could have gone anywhere I came for Sean Paul who showed up at 1am! If the actual singer is coming that late the management should promote that clearly for those of us who specially came for the singer.

The venue is great and awesome performance by Sean Paul. Glad I went. I surely did have a great time!!!

While the doors opened at 11pm the house dj played lame generic music untill 1am or so untill Sean Paul decided to show up in the vip section where he proceeded to lip sync about 1/8 of a song at a time before moving to the next one. The whole thing olny lasted about 15 minutes! There was no show, he was never on a stage, they didnt even do a mic check! A horrible waste of time. Shame on Revoltion Live and Sean Paul.

We were so disappointed with this event. I went to see Sean Paul 2 years ago at this same venue and it was amazing, so when I saw he was back I immediately purchased the tickets. Unfortunately this was not the same event, it was poorly attended and very small turnout, which I guess is why his performance was 5 minutes long. Not one full song only a 5 min compilation of songs. Anyway it was crap!!!

This experience was hands-down the worst $30 I ever spent. Since nobody was opening for him (also strange), we naively assumed he would go on maybe 1.5-2 hours-ish after the doors open. We were gravely mistaken. Nearly four hours later, neither my friends (nor any of the 16-year-olds who were somehow in the alcohol-soaked audience), had seen neither hide nor hair of the legendary Sean Paul. I of course realize that Sean Paul is not a timely man and I'm sure was doing important things backstage, but this was completely absurd and to be frank, disrespectful. As a long-time fan of Mr. Paul, I doubt I'll be able to listen to him again without reflecting on this terrible experience. I absolutely plan on requesting a refund from Echostage. I find it unbelievable that they would claim "Doors Open at 9 PM" with no further details whatsoever, and then expect people to stay until 1 AM (or later, who knows if/when he actually showed up) for the main act. Such a scam, do not recommend.

I've been trying to see Sean Paul in concert for a long time now..however I was very disappointed. There was no opening act and had been kept waiting for hours. He didn't come onto the stage until after 1 AM! Yes AM!!! So finally at 12:15 I was so fed up I left and didn't get a chance to see him perform but was told he only had a 45 min setlist.

Concert was suppose to start at 9 PM, I only went there to see Sean Paul not to listen to some amateur DJ's until 1:00 in the morning and surprisingly Sean Paul didnt even show up to his own concert.Am getting my money back!!!

I got my mother two to tickets for her birthday and she enjoyed herself her only complaint he came on stage 4 hours after doors open but thats it

It was great to see Sean Paul, a lot of energy! The DANCER, oh the DANCERS! I LOVED them! I am a Zumba instructor and I LOVE dace and those girls KILLED it!! Great show, great venue!

Sean Paul's performance was great! He sang a good selection of songs, and engaged the audience throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed his performance! The opening act sounded like screaming and was nothing like Sean Paul. Had I known that the opening act would be completely different from Sean Paul, I would have either shown up later or opted not to go at all. Concerts I have attended at other venues have had opening acts of the same genre as the headline artist, and I much prefer that. Unfortunately, acoustics were poor for the music that played between the opening act and Sean Paul.

The sound quality at the Filmore was definitely off. We were hoping the audio technicians were still working on it while the opening bands sounded like shouting in a can but it didn't get too much better when Sean Paul came out. Since I loved his songs, we had fun and he had 2 great dancers performing with him. The opening bands itself were total different genre and actually made me wanna leave the concert. They were awful! I don't know if Sean Paul's management actually screened these or if they didn't care. It left a bad impression.

I've never been in the Fillmore , but I love how they're no seating charts. I got their early so I got the chance front row. It was amazing. He sounds exactly the same! He's moving everywhere, energetic, into his music. I loved it !!!!! I wish it was longer :( my sister got to touch which was cool too.

it was my first concert but i have to say.....it was the BEST concert ever..... Sean Paul Winned the room up. i had a blast and believe it, i will attend another live nation concert

Had a great time. Sean Paul had so many great old and new songs. The venue was small enough that you have a good view from wherever.

The concert started at 8pm, but Sean Paul didn't come out onto the stage until 10pm! So there were 2 hours worth of the opening acts; they were fine, but I came to see Sean Paul! And I must say, Sean Paul does NOT sound good live. You might as well just listen to his songs on your Ipod. But the Fillmore seems like a good venue for concerts, and I would go to another show there. This show was worth the money: $30 to see Sean Paul is a pretty good deal, even if he wasn't that good live.

I had an absolute AMAZING TIME. Very close and personal and exciting!!! More than worth it;-)

Let's face it; none of us are getting any younger. I'm not rabid enough of a fan to know his birthday, but I'm guessing Sean Paul is about my age. Lets say 39-"ish". That man wore out the Filmore stage. His energy was contagious and the crowd sang along with most of his well known hits from the late 90's to early 2000's. He even managed to keep us pumped for the new stuff which can be tough for an artist who is known for a very specific sound. Sean Paul's evolution is exciting to me. There is a definitive "clubby" tone to his bass line that I really got into. He loves is fans and proved it Friday night. Bonnie Rash, as an opening act was fun. It's cool to see our local celeb turned band-frontman pounce around cussing. My husband and I got a good laugh at their antics. Not sure if that's the point or if we are just too old to take them seriously, but fun just the same. Venue is perfect, could use another set of bathrooms, but ample bar space and fast, friendly service. Standing room only works here because there isn't a bad view to be had.

He did a great job with the singing and dancing. It was a diverse crowd. Lots of fun.

Great concert. Sean Paul did really well and gets the crowd into it. But it was way to short!!

The concert was ok, but the VIP meet and greet was a rippoff. He met with a couple people, then the security guard came out of the dressing room and said Sean Paul was depressed and didn't want to talk with anyone. Some of the people there started yelling obcenities and it turned into some ugly thing. I can't believe a big, rich, famous star would take $200 from hard working normal people, and leave them all standing there with nothing. We didn't even get the SP sunglasses!

I danced all night and he sang all the songs I wanted to hear!! It was amazing!

the show was amazing! i was very close to the main stage. it´s was such a private show because the location was a club in boston so we´re no more than 300 hundred people. really cool!

Not only did he sing all my favorite songs but took pictures with me and a shout out video to my kids. Definitely a memorable night.

Great show!! Sean Paul was awesome. Only complaint...weird rasta guys smoking a blunt in the crowd and security walking by them and ignoring it.

Thought the show was good even though I'm not a Sean Paul fan, my gf on the other hand had a blast so I was glad to have bought the tickets to suprise her. I thought DJ Felli Fel was a kool opening act to get the crowd started

great show. Started much later than the advertised 11pm but was worth the wait. The DJ's were very good kept the crowd grooving so much no one was complaining about the late start. Great performance by Shaggy as usual.

Great event as always by B.B. Kings. The crowd was mixed but relatively laid back. Had a great time!

GYPTIAN, SP, FAMBO, DEMARCO,LAZAH MORGAN, CHANTEL, RAVONE, SHAGGY, WAYNE MARSHALL, REDD FOX AND ON TOP OF ALL THAT MR VEGAS ALMOST AS GOOD AS SUMFEST. "AN VEGAS, MI LUV OFF U DANCER DEM, WAT A GAL CAN WUK."

It was a good concert, not as great as the Fabolous one though. Shaggy and Wayne Marshall were the best performers that night, Sean Paul was good but i feel could have been better, he wasn't as animated as Shaggy or Wayne Marshall. And Gyptian was kind of a tease since he pretended that he was going to sing his famous song (and my favorite song) "Hold Yuh" but then for some reason stopped after the first line and got off stage, so that was kind of annoying. But overall for the price of the concert with that lineup i think it was def worth going.

My first time being at club Nokia. I have seen Sean Paul before in a festival type setting and that was great. I figured purchasing tix to his very own concert would be the same thing, but more time for Sean Paul songs. I arrived around 8 pm, doors had opened at 7. There were maybe 20 people inside. I purchased the most expensive tix Which was for the pit $110 with fees. We had to get a wrist band to be admitted in this area. Although security stopped enforcing this and everyone was allowed to enter the area. So I could have purchased a $40 tix and got the same area. That sucked, not fair at all! Sean Paul only performed for about 1 hour. Ray J and the other opening act was like being tortured. The djs only played a few reggae songs between the artist. It felt more like a hip hop concert!

I couldn't believe how terrible all the guest singers were. The first two guys that came on stage were lip synching their songs. There was such a lack of talent between all of them, it was so boring to watch. Sean paul was all right..... once he finally got on stage. Three and a half hours of waiting to see sean paul was ridiculous!!!!!! I was thouroughly disapointed with that whole event!

I love the show, would rate it a 10. Had fun lots.

The event was supposed to open its doors at 10 pm. They opened close to 11:30. The concert was supposed to start at 11:00pm. It started at nearly 2:30 IN THE MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He didn't even perform for an hour!!! Thank god the tickets were not more because I would be asking for my money back!
