Detroit Red Wings

We sat in section 212 row 12 and it was terrible. We could not see most of the arena, felt like we were watching the game through a long narrow window. The gondola in front of us covered most of the scoreboard and we could not see the banners or light show on the ceiling. 356$ dollars for three tickets and I would have rather watched the game at home. Terrible hockey game watching experience. We also had to lean way forward to see the section of ice closest to us if the play was along the boards and we could not understand the referees at all. They did a great job on the concourse but missed the mark on the upper bowl seating for sure. Very disappointing.

Little Ceaser Arena is an excellent hockey arena. Loved it

We had drink rail seats but ended up watching the game on the big screen tv because we couldn't see the ice over the people in the row ahead of us. We could have stayed home and watched on tv with the added benefit of Ken and Mickey calling the action. Given that the arena was probably less than 60% occupied, Caesars should stop selling that row directly in front of the drink rail. Arena ushers and other personnel were great. Parked in the overpriced garage. Signage for entry to the garage was nonexistent and parking attendant tried to wave me past the entrance.

This conference game was amazing. There's never a bad seat when you're in the Joe.

The seats were amazing, the Legends Club was awesome. After the first period I actually felt bad for all the women who were in normal seats because I didn't have to wait for the restroom even once that night. The food was fantastic with everything from philly subs to stuffed shrimp to smoked salmon. I would definatly recommend everyone trying the Legends Club at least once if you can afford it - I think it was well worth the money, especially for a playoff game. GO WINGS!

Incredible last minute seats. Could not have selected better. Unforgettable game, atmosphere in arena was absolutely electric. Great Value for money.

While the RedWings working their way towards another Stanley Cup Finals in 2009 as the defending Cup team doesn't get any better, the confines of the cramped worn out JLA continues to put a damper on all of their home games. Illitch needs to step it up and build a new arena near his baseball park and FordField...

We killed the Ducks hopes and made Teemu and Pronger cry...It was totally worth the money, and the seats were excellent...

The wings really came out with alot jump , I haven't been at a playoff game in a few years the excitement of being there was unbelievable.I love hockey but I love it even more when my wings are in the playoffs . The joe was really rocking that night. I wish I could afford more than 1 game during the playoffs but if I had it I would be there more often . Thank you red wings for another good run .Wish you kept the cup but there is always next year.

I took my husband to watch his first Red Wings game at The Joe. He is not the same level of hockey fan as I am but he enjoyed the smaller old style arena. I am a Penguins fan and we live in Ohio so also support the Blue Jackets. We have been to Nationwide Arena (which is nice) but the smaller arenas are just sooo much better for hockey, I my opinion!

it was good to see the Red Wings get back to playing their good game over a non-contender anyways... The core of their team sure looks awesome and young...

These tickets were perfect! Section 208 row 10 and we could see absolutely everything. It was such a great game too, even though the wings lost :/ Great idea for a Christmas or birthday present, my fiance loved his tickets!

I bought my boyfriend and my dad tickets for christmas. None of us have ever been to a game. We all had a lot of fun!!

We took our son to his first game. For 20 bucks he joined the kids club he got a duffle bag, a foam finger and a bracelet. Even better it was a close game and the wings won. Thank you so much to the staff, vendors, and sponsers who make these events so enjoyable.

The staff at the arena were respectful towards the people that where there to watch the game. I will def be attending another game here soon.

A birthday gift for my husband and my 5 yr olds first game... we got to go up close to watch practice. Enjoyed military night also. The jerseys during practice were cool. My son said it best when he said that it was the best game and the most fun ever! I only wish Joe Louis had cup holders as my son spilled our shared drink 5 minutes after we got it :-(

My first time at the Joe was a phenomenal experience. You quickly learn that hockey is a sport meant to be seen live. I am glad that I was able to see the Wings at the Joe before they relocate to their new arena.

Traveled from Florida for my first Red Wings game and it was a great atmosphere to be in. There was a tribute to Gordie Howe who suffered a stroke a few days before the game and he has some of the greatest fans and supporters in sports. Despite that, the Wings took control but LA made it somewhat competitive in the end. Great time and highly recommended. The Fox Sports cameraman was right next to me so I even got my two seconds of fame on the nightly sports recap.

The tickets were reasonably priced, JLA was easy to get to, seats were great, everyone at JLA was nice, game was amazing!

I took my 3 girlfriends for their first time and one of them is just moving here from Ohio and they had and amazing time and I as usual had an awesome experience! I always amounting for the next event!

What a night to be at the Joe! The Jersey Retirement Ceremony was beautiful. Of course he hockey was exciting. And, as usual, the entire staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The Red wings are a historic franchise. Detroiters have been spoiled over the last few decades with their professional hockey team. Although there are many injuries to key players, you can tell that this is one of the most "average" team the wings have had in years. That being said, there is still something magical about being in the Joe Louis arena for a Hockey game. The tight seats that force you to at least say hello to the person next to you, the steep stairs and stands that warn you to not get too drunk, and the narrow and crowded concourse that will bring excitement after a win and try your patience after a loss. The concessions have improved in choices over the last few years, but the prices (for tickets, concessions, souvenirs) have not. For an average product on the ice, so soon after a Strike that killed most of a season, how can ticket prices be so high?

We had a great time. We got to meet Ted Lindsay and get an autographed book. Also one of my friends is an usher, so we got to say hi to her. We loved the bobblehead of Lidstrom. (We have tickets for March 6th, when his jersey goes to the rafters. ) And we bought a signed Datzyuk puck. We did loose the game, but it was a great night at the joe for us!

We had an amazing time watching the Red Wings stomp all over Boston! The ticket transaction was flawless, just like our guys on the ice! Will definitely be visiting Joe Louis Arena again!

The wine flowed and the finger food was great. I had pictures taken with 20 Red Wing players. The lines for pictures an autographs were not long and moved Fast. The Zetterberg line was the longest. The Datsyuk line short.

I was so excited and had an amazing time at the toast to Hockeytown. The players were so nice and had small conversations, took pictures, and signed autographs. There was a lot of players avaliable. The only negative is I wish it was a longer event!!!

Seats where behind Detroits home goal. These are the seats you want if your team is facing the Redwings. Seats provide unobstructed view of rink and full views of Detroits iconic banner collection.

This was my first time going on a road trip to Joe Luis Arena to watch my Chicago Blackhawks vs Detroit Red Wings and it was awesome. Small stadium and it looked as if any seat in the house was great. My friend and I sat in Section 227A Row 20. The stadium kinda reminds me of an old Allstate Arena in size and seating but bowl shaped. The experience was awesome but too bad we lost, I'll do it again

The game was amazing although I had a drunk couple next to us and it was uncomfortable, they kep walking passed us and making rude comments to me and my friends. Other than that it was a lot of fun

What an amazing game played by our beloved Red Wings! I had only been to 2 playoff games prior to this game, and they had lost both of them. But the crowd ambiance between a playoff game and regular season game was no different! Exciting, happy, inspirational, and intriguing are just a few words that came to my mind as I watch them skate so effortlessly on the ice! We took our 2 boys to their first game as well, and they both left saying "I want to play hockey!" Thanks for a GREAT game Detroit! Sooo worth it! Go HOCKEYTOWN!

This was my first time ever going to a Red Wings game at Joe Louis Arena. The seats were amazing and it was great to see the Red Wings win in person. We also got free shirts and got to see Gordie Howe!

Let's go Red Wings, let's go!! Good seats, good swag, good company, good experience. Event staff were very friendly and knowledgable.

I purchased tickets online and was warned that the mezzanine seating were considered obstructed view. That was due to the clear, plexi-glass partition in front of the front row. I was disappointed to learn that my upper bowl seats had no view of the center ice score board due to the gondola seating hanging down in front of the upper bowl seats. Any of the seats above row 7 (unless you are in the ends of the arena) have no view of the center ice score board. These seats do have an unobstructed view of the ice, but there should be some mention of the obstructed view of the score board. There are small screens mounted to the rear of the gondolas to view instead of the large screen. These seats were unsatisfactory for the money. I paid $239 for two seats in section 225 (face value from the official Red Wings website on the day they went on sale to the public) for the Chicago Blackhawk game and was very disappointed.

Another awesome event...great LC pizza and mini hot dog bar can't beat the free pop and $2 beer or wine (they only charge $1 but We always tip the bar tenders a buck) another great speaker Daren McCarty!! only thing they could do better is have chips or something while game is being played

The new little Caesars arena is fantastic . So much history, wide spaces, lots of things to do, different venues for food, and plenty of bathrooms. We sat in the gondola seats (G26) all the way at the top best....seats in the house. If you have an experienced it you need to. Also, the parking situation is great just across the street or within walking distance. We will definitely be coming back to see the Red Wings play.

The gondola seats make the upper bowl seats bad; you can see the ice but the scoreboard and most of the arena is blocked.

THE GAME WAS VERY EXCITING, DISAPOINTED THAT THEY LOST. SEATS WERE GREAT. THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL & ATTENTIVE-CAME TO CHECK ON US FREQUENTLY THOUGHOUT THE EVENING. DISAPOINTED THAT KAREN NEWMAN DID NOT SING

The developing District area was great. I can't wait till it is finished. LCA was an incredible venue with easy access, decent area parking and lots of fun places to visit and eat. Lot's of open space to walk around w/ the two concourse levels. I really liked the opening full ice surface video montage, before the game. A couple things that I didn't like was the fact that the top 10-15 rows in the upper section do not allow you to view the main jumbo-tron in the center of the arena. Instead, LCA provides what appear to be 55-60" viewing screens that show a smaller version of what's on the big screen or barrage you w/ Little Caesars advertisements. There is some type of luxury box overhang that block the view of the score board. This is at the expense of the patrons seated at the top rows. See attached pictures. I also didn't like the $5 waters and rule that you aren't allowed to keep the caps for the top of the bottles. If you buy several bottles of water w/ food, be prepared to carry the bottles w/ a napkin stuffed into them to minimize spilling. This is a ridiculous rule and should be stopped. Also, if you suffer from vertigo, definitely avoid the upper sections of the upper bowl as the height and pitch of the seats can be intimidating. I didn't mind, but my wife was a little anxious due to the elevation.

Very nice fan appreciation viewing party. Surprised that it also included pizza, chili dog and pop. Draft beer was only $1 all night long. Great party with games and tee shirt give aways. Can't wait to go again.

I absolutely love the new arena. It seemed like it took forever to build but seeing as that we were getting updates every step of the way it seemed like they built it super fast. The layout is great, the concourse is really wide, hopefully once the season kicks in they don t fire a bunch of the staff and be like every other grand opening where your amazed at how helpful everyone is and once things get going you can t find help to save your soul. Mr Ilich would be proud of his dream.

The wings lost but that didn't really matter to us. For years my family of 5 has been coming to the Joe for Red Wings hockey. This was our last experience Ever at the Joe. We drank some beers, had some laughs, and got plenty of pictures. At the end of the night it didn't matter who won or lost, we all enjoyed our last time at the Joe. Thanks for the memories!

Just an amazing experience to go to the legendary Joe Louis Arena and watch the boys play an amazing game in this final season before they move to the Pizza Dome.

It was time to head back for one last Wings game at Joe Louis before the new building opens.

I'm not a Red Wings fan, but I had to check out this building while I can. Truly a one of a kind arena

The red wings won in regulation against the ducks. There were great hits, and great hockey in general. The people who were sitting behind my group were very nice

Our seats were the very top row of the upper bowl. You couldn't see any ice from them at all. We went to change seats because I found 2 online that were 13 rows closer and actually cheaper. They wanted to move us TWO rows closer, for an additional $40 on top of what we already paid for our horrible seats ($110). We ended up leaving the game because we couldn't see anything and it would have been better to watch it at home and actually be able to see. The last 3 rows in the upper bowl were all all the same level (Usually each row towers over the next), and because of that, all we could see from our seats were the heads of people in front of us.

What a GREAT game in a fantastic venue. I had to get to the Joe for this final season, and although I missed my Boston Bruins playing there, the match up between the Red Wings and the Habs was fabulous! The arena was rocking with energy - great fans for each team! The employees at the Joe Louis Arena are outstanding! Let's hope they all transfer to the new venue next year.

We made a special trip to the Joe to see the Redwings play the Flames knowing it's the Joe's last season. Arriving at the stafium to see a band lined down the steps playing inspirational music and having cheer leaders dancing was a Great welcoming! The fans were super welcoming. We were nervous that being two of maybe 30 people in flames jerseys might get us jeers but true to our experiences all over Detroit the people were friendly! The stores in the joe were great for fans and the line ups were surprisingly fast moving. We are glad we got to see the Joe!

This was my first time at a Red Wings game, and it was also my dad's 62nd birthday. I was hoping to take him to a Red Wings game so that he could watch a Red Wings game live on his birthday, and the seats we had were terrible. The good parts of the day or being able to take pictures with my dad around the Joe Louis Arena, in front of the Gordie Howe Statue, and having a picture taken next to the Veteran's section. But our seats were so terrible you could not even see the game without standing up behind the seats.

Had good seats with a great view and Detroit played very well with a score of 3-1

How can you not have fun at a wings game? Especially if they win amirite?

I had the best time of my life. Ain't no party like a Detroit party, cause a Detroit party don't stop I've been to a lot of events in my life, but a Wings playoff game has to be the greatest that there is.

Excellent game and excitement , there isnt a bad seat in the house. Brought my daughter it was her first game. We loved it, awesome family time and memory for the books. Also THE GAME WAS AWESOME!! WAY TO GO WINGS!! WE GOT THE WIN!!

The game was AMAZING!!! We didn't pay very much for the tickets, 4 of them, and we were up higher in the stands yet they were a great seat. There is no bad seat in the Joe! I would Highly recommend people go to this event. But when you go make sure you bring a lot of money, haha. Beer's are $9.50 a beer and of course you want to buy a shirt or jersey. Cheapest jersey's are $175.00 a piece. Also we went on fan appreciation night! It was a great time for everyone. Even the one who was not a hockey fan enjoyed!!! Highly recommend!! Also, the arena opens at 6 for late games!

I love going to see a game at the joe a great arena to see a game. But I had one problem with th seats this time. When the puck went Into the opposite corner I had to almost get out of my seat to see the action. That's the only compliant I have with the seats.

The Meijer Coke Zero Fan Pack is a great deal. You get everything you need to enjoy the hockey game. A seat, food, and drink. So you can go to a game and not have to take any extra money with you unless you want to buy team stuff.

The Joe...what can you say? I loved it. Every single part of it. No complaints. Were the prices high for concessions? Not compared to any other sporting event. Was the leg room limited? No different than any other place. The only thing that did stand out were the steps going up to the seats. No problem for us, but anyone that needs assistance might have some difficulty without hand rails and small steps. Talk about a historic arena. It felt like hockey, and that's the only way I could describe it. Perfect, glad I got to go there before it gets torn down.

The game was great, the redwings lost but the excitement of the plays we worth going to the game. What I cannot believe is that the food stands DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARD, don't they know that now almost everybody do not carry cash? This issue caught me by surprise. By the ay studies has shown that you spend more money using credit cards than cash. Joe Louis Arena PLEASE LISTEN!!!

I loved everything about being at the Joe. All the historical displays, the statues, pictures of all the team on the walls and sitting with fans who share my love of all things Red Wing.

I've been a die-hard Red Wing fan since working for Little C's at college in the early 80's. Being from NY, I see them the rare times they come to Buffalo, NYC, LI, NJ &Boston. Seats at the Joe were AWESOME!!! And to be able to find them less than a week before the game!?! INCREDIBLE!!!

Had the best time of my life on Sunday with my wife. We were able to see History being tied. Watched the game on Tuesday at home for the record 21st straight win. Can't wait to go to another game.

OMGosh, this was the BEST time I have EVER had. I have been a Red Wings fan for the past almost 13.5 years and this was my very FIRST time experiencing The Joe! I almost shed tears walking through the Gordie Howe entrance :o) It was all I ever hoped for and more. Can't wait until I get the chance to go back again!!!!

Was a great game; the workers at the Joe were very nice, helpful and always had the fan's best interest in mind. Greatest place to watch a hockey game. Could use a few more bathrooms but its an old arena and has so much character you live with it.

Wings vs St Louis was a great game with a shutout to Jimmy Howard.

I had company for the holidays and they had never been to a Red Wings' game. We had an incredile time. My sister has MS and I had inadvertantly gotten standing room seats. The staff were so helpful. Jack exchanged my sister's ticket for a seat and assisted the rest of us in getting room to stand near her.

I totally enjoyed the game and the atmosphere! Despite the somewhat run-down feel of the Joe Louis Arena, it's always a great place to check out a hockey game.

Event was well organized and controlled. Great to have staff everywhere to answer questions as to where to go for what. The interaction of the players for pictures and activites was excellent. This event will be on my yearly calendar. Good job!
