Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine is a band that everyone should experience at least once in your lifetime. Irreverent, not politically correct, funny, crowd participation... all of this and more. The musicians are terrific. Occasionally it will take a moment or two to recognize exactly what tune he is interpreting, which makes the journey that much more enjoyable. Almost all of the tunes I've heard before, but never realized how vulgar and stupid some of the lyrics really are!

Richard Cheese was a night filled with music, comedy, and fun. Richard Cheese interacted with the crowd well and was something I have not seen an entertainer do this before. He even went up to the balcony to interact with the crowd and perform. He also gave out free items from his website, items like the "I Love Dick" thong and CD's. He played all the popular songs from his CD's. His ste was long, but enjoyable (Longer than I expected). He said he would like to come back in September. He is a true entertainer. His band was also awesome. They play together and off each other well. He is a must see and I will definatly see him again.

I attended Richard Cheese at the House of Blues Anaheim. The show was very good and quite entertaining...for adults. It was billed as an all ages show and, like an idiot, I brought two of my kids. That was a mistake. I spent the next week having talks with them I had hoped to put off until they started high school. Had the kids not been there, I would have given the show 5 stars. The crowd, for the most part, was filled with morally corrupted drunks, which are my kind of people. Highly recommended ADULT entertainment.

Well, Dick used to swing hard, but his interest and enthusiasm definitely is gone. We saw him before the show and tried to say Hi, but he completely ignored us, and the show was flat, to say the least. There wasn't even a spot on him during the show. Thanks for the memories...

This was the third time I've seen Richard Cheese, and by far the best. The Music Hall of Williamsburg is now my favorite music venue in the city. At first I was really bummed because it was a seated concert - first come, first serve as far as where you got to sit. But since the venue is so small, even at the very back, I was closer than being in the middle of most of the other floors around town. The show itself was great. Richard Cheese was on last night. He did a lot of the same schtick I'd seen before, but he was much more involved with the audience and was hilarious with his quick banter. The dude is just funny. If you haven't seen them live, please do yourself a favor and go.

Richard Cheese is definitely entertaining. Most shows make people feel out of place if they're not familiar with the artist, but you will find none of that here. He's a hornball so if you like good dirty fun, then you will definitely appreciate his humor. Bobby Ricotta is my new hero.

Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine was, as hoped, a 50/50 mix of sketchy standup and awesome covers. I laughed and cheered straight through the show, and the friend I was with did too, once she got over the initial shock. Cheese started the show by demanding that only women stand in the front, so we squeezed up through the crowd and had a great vantage point for all his classics: Get Down With the Sickness, Buddy Holly, Another Brick in the Wall....and his new TV theme song covers, which were great.

I first came across Richard Cheese's cover of "Down with the Sickness" in the remake of Dawn of the Dead and tracked them down from there. Since then I've been an avid listener of the swankified versions of rap, rock, and pop songs that Dick croons out with his talented band. When I saw he was playing Boston I leaped to order the tickets. The show was great, opening act Natalie Gelman has an incredible voice and did some popular covers in a different style. Main event Dick was playing a mix of classics like "Baby got back" as well as some new stuff like the Imperial March from Star Wars in a lounge stylee. Yes, really. Great banter with the audience too and a fun crowd. Nice venue too, will definitely be coming back to the House of Blues!

Perhaps its the tiger print tux, or maybe it's the repeated pick up lines and sexual references. It could be the burlesque girl striptease or the phenomenal keyboard playing of Bobby Ricotta. Maybe it was the fact that you knew every song, but had never heard them quite like this. For whatever reason, this was a show that went beyond comedy and parody and actually created an evening experience that surpassed most "regular" shows. The sound and lighting were great and the venue was the perfect size to let people dance and mingle while not seeming empty. It's a shame that Dick is going to stop touring, but if for some reason he's around your town, go see him! You will be glad you did.

I enjoyed the music, but after about 20 minutes of the same gimmick, it got boring. The drum beats and the lyric melodies were all the same and , similar bass lines the whole time. the only thing that changed was the keyboard and lyrics. I think if they added more comedy to the performance it would be more enjoyable.

Hilariously filthy comedy infuses this excellent, musically solid show. Richard's voice was on point, smooth and sexy while he sang the outrageous lyrics to popular hits from today and yesterday (mostly the 90s/00s!). Fun sketches were peppered throughout the show, while the music took on a "medley" quality, 1 - 2 minute snippets (which is pretty much how his CDs operate as well). Banter was plentiful, which lets you know your show is one of a kind. If you and your crew have a sense of humor that matches the Cheese's style and you find actually good novelty renditions of popular songs something appealing, this is a sure thing. Knowing the lyrics and appreciating the juxtapositions of the original styles compared to Richard Cheese's lounge-y remakes is what takes this show over the top, but since he covers so many songs from all kinds of genres, you'd be hard pressed not to recognize the popular culture hits.

I'm following Richard Cheese since maybe ten years. After discovering Chop Suey, I started listening to all his other albums ever since and vowing a cult to this genius. Richard Cheese has been a dream concert, such as ACDC, Rolling Stones, The Cure, etc (which I have all seen) and I couldn't see him live since I'm european and he mainly performed in the US. (couldn't make it to sonisphere in the UK...) I'm leaving in NY since september and oh boy, what a thrill when I heard that I could finally see him ! Have been to so many music concerts. Richard Cheese was the best, in its own way. It's a perfect mix between lounge music and a comic one man show, where nearly 70% is improvised besides the running jokes we know from the albums. (HAN SOLO !) Richard Cheese deserves to perform at the Madison Square Garden, period ! He should have is own one man show because I couldn't stop laughing for 2H30 ! Thank you. Hope I'll see you again in south of France. The best there is, the best there was, the best that ever will be.

How is Richard Cheese like wasabi? A little is great. Too much burns your throat out. After an hour of his shtick it became old. Not to mention that he was a half hour late!!! Really? Why? This in a venue that is like Vegas. They do everything in their power at the House of Blues ton separate you from your money. Doors open one and a half hours before show starts so people can spend money at the bar. Of course you get in earl if you spend money at The restaurant or gift store. No seating unless you want to pay a security guard $60 a seat. I wouldn't be surprised if the House of Blues told Cheese to go on a half hour late to maximize bar totals. (A half hour of waiting +a half hour extra on the end=one more hour of people drinking.) It's a great scam for a lame show which got tiring after an hour.

I gave this event five stars, because Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine had nothing to do with the crappy, plastic folding chairs that Center Stage used for our seats. The entertainment was great, as expected; we have seen them twice and this show met our expectations. But, my fiance and I were squashed into a tiny row of folding chairs (set in what I guess was a dance floor or orchestra pit). That fact made it hard to fully enjoy the show . . . oh and the drunk/high guy behind us, but . . . well . . . that's to be expected.

Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine was fantastic! I wasn't sure what to expect but Richard was very amusing. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the lack of seating for general admission ticket holders. The only people who got seats were people who bought better tickets (which I didn't know existed) and the ones who got in first and could nab some free seating. Generally, I don't mind but it was a lounge style concert which to me translates into lounging while sipping on a cocktail.

Richard Cheese, and his band of 3 TORE up the House of Blues in Chicago Friday night. Despite a virus of some kind, RC, sung his heart out to a nearly sold-out show. With a row of beautiful women lining the stage, his charm---and musical genius--never stopped (except during a couple of tuxedo changes). This was my first -- but NOT last Cheese concert. It was also my first experience at this venue. It's VERY unusual to not have ANY floor seating, but it also makes for a more intimate concert experience. My only frustations with the evening were with the security departments' lack of experience -- and the chaos that ensued after the show--as audience lined up for autographs (but no pictures) with RC. There was a clear breakdown here. But again, from a performance perspective, the show really rocked !

It was an awesome show. The venue was nice, small. The staff seemed a little awkward, the seats we paid for were way over priced for the balcony and the view was obstructed and not worth the money. Long time fan, seen Richard Cheese live at least 10 maybe 12 times over the past 9 years. He jokes that the show is the same every time. Yes there are a few repeat moments but no one seems to mind. Unfortunately this show was the weakest performance of all the ones I'd ever seen before, and not because of repetitive moments. His voice was off and he couldn't sing. He said he'd been sick and I can understand how that strains a voice. But let's be honest. Richard's voice has been cracking for years and it feels like now he just can't really sing much anymore. It's clear he doesn't take care of himself or his body so I don't know how many more times he'll be able to perform. The show is now reduced to the comedy gags and schtick which was previously the funny icing in between the delicious cake of the band playing. This time was 80% schtick. The highlight of the show was the rendition of Pink Floyd's The Wall when the band was in high gear and Richard was singing. Everyone loved that moment. But it was just a moment. Let the band play more and take better care of yourself Richard so you can really perform.

I've followed him in the past but have never been to an actual show. Besides an amazing talent of taking any song and making it insanely funny, the jokes between songs and the interaction with the crowd was highly entertaining. A great array of older classics as well as really recent songs.

Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine always put on a great show. They are always combing new musical hits and old favorites in their own very unique style. They are masters of setting a fun atmosphere for the entire crowd. Last Friday was the first performance my fiancé attended with me. She went in skeptical and now wants to book them to play at our wedding.

Always an awesome show, even being PG rated it's still a blast. He cuts out certain words for the PG shows and replaces them with a clown horn which is actually rather hilarious.

Tickets were $20, service charges tacked on 12 more, venue was sold out and crowded, HOB took an hour into show to turn on air, The band started 30 minutes late...

Was glad the Cheese decided to visit Atlanta again. And the show is always funny. But I paid 3 times extra for gold level seats because its front row and you got a signed poster or picture with purchase. Then a month later it was revised not a signed anything just a cd. Well I can buy a cd at his shows for 5 dollars. But was still fine with that figured I would get a signature at the end and a meet and greet. Well he canceled the meet and greet and signed nothing. So in the end not the final way I wanted to see his concert in Atlanta.

Just discovered the Cheesy One so all was new to me. Great players, fun concept, perfectly executed. Great show, his target demographic is a little younger than baby boomers so about a third of the tunes weren't familiar to me. However, the lyrics for most of the rap stuff are so absurd that there's still a gag there even if the song is unfamiliar. On the flip side, having grown up watching all the lounge acts do their Mike Douglas, Carson and other talk show appearances I felt right at home with Mr. Cheese and had a blast. Imagine a Spinal Tap version of The Rat Pack meets Wayne Newton meets Vic Damone. Hats off his fine jazz trio, would love to hear them playing it straight.

This show, if you've never been to one, is unique. Richard Cheese is a talented singer, extremely sarcastically funny comedian, and his band, Lounge Against the Machine is incredible. I laughed and laughed. There wasn't a song I didn't know, but since the lyrics are done "lounge style", I found myself saying, "oh, that's what the lyrics to that song are". From Iggy Azalea to Sublime, he covers just about every kind of rock music genre. He makes it funny and raunchy. From picking on those folks that just couldn't put their phones down, to the guy in the hat that refused to remove it, walking through the audience taking selfies, throwing tee shirts, and making everyone in the front row blow bubbles, it's an interactive show that you really don't want to end! Absolutely LOVED it!

Richard Cheese and his 3 man band rocked the Showbox. Adeptly mixing filthy misogynistic lyrical content with the timeless lounge sound of Vegas. Covering material from Nirvana and AC/DC to Snoop Dog and the Lords of Acid. Do yourself a favor and catch this act live!

few moments: 1) the website and emails said that doors will open at 7.00pm - they open around or even after 7.30pm 2) Richard Cheese's started the show at 8.30pm (so we were waiting 1.50 hour) 3) We were expecting to hear good vocal, not only "hot" jokes - but It did't happen.

Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine are terrific. Entertaining, funny, amazing. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard or had a smile on my face for so long. A really enjoyable show and I will definitely see them again when they come back to Portland.
