Excellent set list, awesome sound and a great crowd, the venue was a great place to have that show. The open floor made it comfortable for all the dancing. I loved Bob Marleys music but I was too young to see him in person. This was a great way to honor the legend that wailers were. And a great way to see the goi,g members of the group....

Went with large group and everyone had a blast. Awesome show. Second year seeing them. Only thing I wish was changed is the first hour was not Bob Marley music. Had to wait until later for the good stuff, but then they gave it in healthy doses! Long show / lots of songs / not rushed at all. Band had a good time too.

The Wailers are THE reggae band. Every song is played and sung with soul. I loved the passion in the songs like Pimpers Paradise and Zion Train. You can tell they like to play to the crowd that knows their more obscure songs- the true fans. The fact that lead vocals are covered by three guys with huge ranges shows how complex Bob's voice was. They do an amazing job by keeping true to the songs history and heritage, while at the same time making the vibe current. Ironically, they don't live in the past, but seem more to celebrate it. Seeing them at a place like Masquerade only makes it better.

One could actually feel the crowd's anticipation as it waited for The Wailers, and when they came on, that anticipation was unleashed in a roar unlike any l had ever experienced before. We danced, yelled, screamed, and the band played like the spirit of Bob Marley himself was present. The music was great, the venue, intimate, the experience, priceless ...

The Wailers performing at the Napa Uptown Theater last weekend included 2 original guitarists from back in the day and two of Marley's sons as well as a couple other musicians and a talented singer! They kept the crowd happy with classic roots Reggae and got us all up on our feet for the second half -- wining with the music, feeling the vibes.

I had a great time watching The Wailers perform; although the members are not the original group they do live up to the name sake. The performance was great I really felt as if I was back in Jamaica and that s what I was looking for. With that said, Zander (or so I believe his name is) was the worst part of the entire show using him as an opener was just pure confusion I could ve done without him. Less than satisfied with that performance.

We could tell that the venue was stalling with the random kid they threw on stage. The Wailers seems confused and dazed upon getting on the stage close to 10:30pm, after doors opened for the show at 6pm. Thank goodness we arrived closer to 8pm and didn't waste 2 more hours of our time. The Wailers sounded like it was their first time performing-band members sitting down for the show, and some showing up 3 songs in. They played about 4 Bob Marley songs-the rest, who knows. Why was the show broadcasted on the radio and social media as playing the Epic Songs of Bob Marley then if only 4 songs were performed? I really like the Casino as a venue and am going to blame this debacle on the Wailers since clearly they were not prepared for their performance. I would not recommend seeing them again unless you were able to smoke as much as they all did prior to the show leaving you with out a care in the world for everyone else who paid $28.

We purchased our tickets believing Rusted Root was the opening act and The Wailers was the headliner. However, the Wailers played first. Several of our friends missed seeing them as a result. Even though both bands were great, we would have preferred to hear the Wailers last as we expected. We, along with several friends, were disappointed and unhappy with the reserved seating and the GA section being really far back. Reggae shows should be General Admission and not reserved seating since most folks want to dance.

Over all it was a concert worth seeing, but Rusted Root did not put on the show I've seen them do in the past. They only played 3 crowd pleasers, and the rest seemed like new music because the crowd didn't react to any of the songs. The Wailers weren't anything spectacular. They didn't play any major hits from the Bob Marley days, which I'm not sure they can. They put on a good show, but are just your typical reggae act. Like I said, worth the show, but I wouldn't spend my dough on it again.

My husband and I are big fans of both Rusted Root and The Wailers. We've seen them several times in several different venues. We were excited for the show and looked forward to another great experience. Unfortunately, we were disappointed for a few reasons. The opening band Adam Ezra Group was TERRIBLE; particularly the lead singer. He dropped constant f-bombs in both his commentary and the lyrics to the remake "Devil went down to Boston" (which was just awful.) We are not prudes but we didn't enjoy hearing profanity every two seconds. To us, it just means they lack content and maturity. The band certainly has potential and we love that they are from Boston and the violinist is really talented but we felt, as a whole, they lacked substance, character, and maturity. Rusted Root was the highlight of the entire show. They always play the hits we love, Martyr, Send me on my way, Laugh as the sun, etc. Plus they performed some newer hits that we really enjoyed. Honestly, we wish they would've just skipped the opening band and played longer. We usually love The Wailers and in the past have enjoyed lead vocalists such as Elan Atias. The band now includes two lead vocalists and we felt it was a bit unnecessary. They seemed to be competing with each other and it took away from the focus of the music. The lead vocalist should be offered to one or the other and we preferred Kevin "Yvad" Davy. Overall we enjoyed the show and will certainly buy tickets again but if we see the same opening band... we'll be arriving at a later time.

The most entertaining band of the evening with the Adam Ezra Group and they only got to play 5 songs... then the wait for the next band was over a half hour, Rusted Root was a lot of noise and screaming, except the last song "Send me on my way" that was great... The Rusted Root drummer's solo was pretty awesome, nothing fancy, just high energy fun! The wait before the The Wailers was way too long (45 - 60 min). The Wailers were BORING, they played no well known Bob Marley tunes for the first 4 songs and we left... Wish I hadn't wasted my money on this event and will never do so again. However I will definitely be checking out the Adam Ezra Group, By far the best show put on that night! CHECK AEG Out, You will be a forever fan!

We were pretty disappointed that The Wailers went on first, and weren't the headliners for this concert, as we thought a world-renowned, internationally-recognized band would be. The tickets also listed "The Wailers & Rusted Root" - kind of ambiguous and a little misleading as to who the headliner was, but again, international band/local favorites. Who would YOU think would be the 2nd act on stage??! Nothing against Rusted Root - they were fun - but we were hoping to hear more of The Wailers. We got there a little late and missed most of their set. Also, I really hate that this venue has assigned seating. We've been there for 3 or 4 shows at this point, between last summer and this one, and have been disappointed since the seating arrangement changed. For dance fests like this, all general admission is the way to go. It was very hard to dance amidst the rows of seats, and the general admission pit is WAY too far back and CROWDED. Beer is regularly spilled, and you can't move there, either. It definitely takes away from the fun factor. The sound is always spectacular at these shows, however, so kudos to the sound guys/girls!!!

Bethel Woods is a wonderful setting for a show like this. (or any show for that matter). And the staff is excellent. Good show and worth it for a long time Bob Marley fan. But, don't be fooled, this is not Bob Marley, not even close. Kinda more like a good cover band that could show up at a wedding or a local bar. No, I did not expect BM to be reincarnated, I just expected it to be more like the real thing. They did not even mention his name! Not even "thanks BM for creating this classic music". And, no CD's for sale. I guess this music is heavily copy written. Anyway, like I said, worth it for a long time fan. Not so worth if for my wife who was not very familiar with BM.

The opening act was terrific and George Wesley is always a treat because he's a local dude! The Wailers' lead singer, Dauglin did a pretty close rendition of Bob Marley. The band was right on and the female vocalist was super! Everyone was gracious and had no problem with signing autographs and taking pictures with the fans. The only downside was the Kirby Center security. They still are a little "gung ho" for my liking. They are a bit too zealous in their enforcing techniques. All in all, it was a great show that we didn't have to travel far to see. We certainly enjoyed hearing the "Exodus" album being done live.

and why were we disappointed? Certainly not with the Wailers, but the tickets said 8pm and in reality the show did not begin much before 9. The opening act was poor and then there was a long break while they set up the state for the main act. Too much wasted time-we came to see and hear the Wailers!

I just happened to see this show being featured on afternoon news program the same day of the show. I did not hesitate to go online and find a ticket! The Wailers put on one of the best shows I have ever seen. They really rocked it. I'm glad I was there...will look for their next show in the area and make a point of being there, too. Also, the Saban Theatre is a beautiful venue with great acoustics and not a bad seat in the place. Look forward to going there again, too.

The Wailers are awesome! Saw them at Brooklyn Bowl and liked them so much that we drove down to Point Pleasant to see them again! They are doing the "Legend" album so you will be dancing and singing along the WHOLE TIME!!! Band is great. Was disappointed that "Family Man" was not on bass that night. He was the reason I wanted to see them in the first place if you know your Bob Marley history. One more thing, the lead singer seemed to be in a bad mood this night. My sister said the same thing so its not just my opinion. No big deal, must be hard to do same songs over and over again(or whatever he was miffed about). They are still great. I was more bummed that Aston Barrett wasn't there because you know when that guy is on the bass!! Still a great show. If they are in your area, DO NOT MISS IT!!!!!

I took my iPad with me to the concert to click photos and when I launched my hotspot, I populated the "FBI Surveillance Van" for wi-fi. I guess the music is as powerful as ever, the words are moving and encourages us to keep fighting for our rights.

The show was fine enough but certainly not outstanding. As a band of their longevity and history, I found the members to be getting younger and younger (but it was sure nice to see Chinna out there) and perhaps getting away from the real roots feel and emotional depth of the music. More like a big party than a meaningful spiritual event that Bob would have conveyed.

Non-stop-Dancing with really great music, sounds, lyrics and a Great crowd. The venue allowed for a great mix of good- loud- feel- it- in- your- body music to sitting at a table and having a conversation with your peeps. Lines for beer and the bathroom were long but moved quickly enough.

The 2 bands besides Rusted Root that performed we're terrific! I've seen RR 3x and their sound quality was poor so that was a disappointment! Tickets should include times of each performer. For this venue, doors opened at 4:00, music started at 4:30, however that acts the tickets paid for did not start till 6:00. That is a long time to wait the the venue won't permit you to leave. So just more upfront time info.

Newport is such a great venue to see a show! I have loved Rusted Root for years and try to see them any time they are in the area. Unfortunately, we were unable to get there in time to hear the Adam Ezra Band, but bought the live CD and thoroughly enjoyed it on the ride home. The Wailers were also very entertaining. We will definitely try to see another show soon.

My seats were terrible and the crowd was unruly . I paid for front row seats but was in a corner staring at a wall of amplifiers ,

What amazing energy at this show...beautiful night on Newport Harbor, killer opener in Adam Ezra, Rusted Root awesome, and The Wailers just magical. The modern day version of Marley's band does it right and to be in that tent and hear a thousand people singing along, all knowing the lyrics, seemingly in perfect pitch, dancing and smiling with strangers...just doesn't get much better. Only problem EVER with this venue is the lack of sufficient bathrooms.

Overall I thought the entire event was lack luster. I believe the entertainers should at least interact with he audience. I was bewildered by a blonde white woman playing an amplified fiddle with the Wailers. The sound was not great. I have got to admit that my hearing is not very good, therefore my enjoyment was diminished. The Wailers were so OLD TIME, in my opinion. They have not moved into this century. If they wish to maintain an identity they will have to move forward.

What an unforgettable evening! Adam Ezra Group started the night out....fantastic! Then Rusted Root took the stage and rocked us all out. The Wailers came out and the crowd was in a frenzy of ecstasy!! The evening ended with all three bands taking the stage to close out the night. If you have the opportunity. ...GO SEE THIS SHOW!!!
