Went to the game last night, 3 seats at $200 per seat… Thrashers let the Flyers push them around without any retribution. Thrashers rarely set up in front of the net. Flyers goalie had mostly clear lane shots. Flyers stayed parked in front of of Thrashers goal..We say we lost because goalie was screened….Lets CLEAR the net!! Antropov is 6′-6″ and 245 Lbs.. He needs to start acting like it..Hey guys, push back when pushed, take the penalty every now and then for retaliation. You have a great penalty kill stat.. Time to man up and play big time hockey if you want my big time money. Time to earn your keep. Phillips arena theatrics, after show comedian, hot girls cleaning the ice are not what we want…we want basic old school hockey.

I have to say the only thing I could complain about was the size of the cotton candy for a whole 4$. But the venue was nice and the Thrasher fans fun to talk to and didn't seem to mind that I'm hardcore Flyers. I wished I had better seats as I always like to be closer, but in all the game was awesome.

Wow, I have never never never seen a hockey team score 9 goals in a single game. But the Maple Leafs did just that and destroyed us. It got really painful. Then it got kind of funny. Then depressing.
If you want to see something new and cool go to a Thrashers game. It is fast and tons of fun. However do not expect the food or beverages to be anywhere near as good as Turner field. A new food vendor has taken over and the food is smaller but last year prices remain, as does the nasty staff. Lucky for me I can no longer eat the food there, but my father got a popcorn that was half full and they refuse to fill it full. What a rip. The cokes tasted watered down. Overall the experience sucked but if you just consider the game it was awesome.

Phillips Arena is a great place to watch a hockey game. But, make sure to eat BEFORE you get there. If nothing else, eating at the CNN Center is perfectly fine. Concessions in the arena itself are a joke. Nachos consist of a bag of Tostitos round chips, a sealed cup of cold cheese dip and a sealed cup of jalepenos - assembly required. My hot dog was listed as a 'jumbo' on the menu. When I ordered it, I was told it would be regular size even though the price was the same. It was far too messy to pick up and eat and I had to go downstairs in order to find a plastic fork. The credit-card machine was out at the main beer stand and they've done away with the beers guys that used to come around. I heard others complaining that the pretzel stand was making them as they were ordered instead of having them ready for purchase. If watching the game is your sole intention, you'll love it. If you want the entire experience, stay home and watch it on T.V.

Our seats that were supposed to be great at a great price for opening night were terrible. We were so far up under the ledge that everything was hard to see and we felt disconnected from the crowd and the game. I would never buy those seats again. We would have been better off higher up in the "cheap" seats.

Great game, great arena! I love the Atlanta Thrashers, and have loved them since they started in Atlanta. Our team needs the support of the town, since it's a great sport and the team has major potential. Atlanta fans are known for being "fairweather" fans, but in Blueland, it's a different story. This is our year! Only complaint is the new slogan, "it's the hockey way." I think marketing could have come up with a much better concept.

Took the family to opening night and everybody really enjoyed it! Seats were in Sec 313 and could see everything going on in every play. A Thrashers game is truly an "experience" more than just a sporting event, and you don't have to break the bank on rinkside seats in order to have a good time. Obviously ATL doesn't have the rich NHL tradition of the more Northern, established franchises...But I guarantee you'll find Thrashers Fans LOVE THEIR TEAM! EAT BEFORE YOU GO because the concessions prices WILL break the bank if you plan on feeding the family dinner at a game. It really borders on price gouging. Try $4.50 for a basic hot dog, $4 for a small or $5 for a "collector's cup" soda or $4.50 for a smallish "tub" of popcorn. You can literally spend $50 just getting drinks and snacks for the avg size family...Just ridiculous!

Thrashers dominated the Lightning, although being out shot in the 1st period. After letting Tampa Bay get back into the game in the 2nd period and still leading 4-3, Atlanta shut the door in the 3rd. The Lightning are lucky to have Marty St. Louis--without him, it would have been a total embarrassment.

The Atlanta Thrashers have undoubtedly acquired key weapons this last off-season. Atlanta out-hustled, out-hit, and out-played division rival Tampa Bay in their 6-3 win. Even though it will take a few weeks for the new players to fully jell with the team, you can expect a fight each and every game. In front of a sold-out crowd, they have surely reclaimed much of their fan base, as well as created some new followers. This looks to be a great season ahead for the Atlanta Thrashers, and their old - and new - fans.

What an amazing time and experience. I found where all the Braves fans disappeared to. The Thrashers play in a top notch facility. They're good, and can fight great. We had some seats almost at the top close to behind the goalies net, and still had a wonderful view. The fans really get behind this team. Far better than Nashville and St. Louis.

We were on centre ice. Our seats were good for just viewing the ice. Hockey is all about the experience inside the arena, and all we could see was the ice. The upper level comes down so low over the lower level, our seats had no view of the score board and jumbotron. We could not tell how much time was left in the period, on a power play or intermission. We did not get to see any of the replays of major plays, or the fun things that were shown on the big screen. There were three televisions in each section, but none of them were on. During the first intermission, we went to get pretzels, and they were out. We ended up having to wait for more pretzels to be cooked. If Phillips Arena wants better attendance, make things better for the fans. Tickets are higher than ever, and I feel we did not get our moneys worth when it came to our seats. The game its self was great, with a lot of great hockey.

Although my Wings lost the venue is absolutely amazing. Perfect spot, A lot of fans don't know that the middle to upper bowl is the best areas to sit for hockey, even the corners are great. It allows you full view of the ice and the ability to see all of the action. The glass is great for when checks hit the glass but for pure visibility's nothing beats sections like the one I was in.

This was my second Thrashers game this season. I went to the other Sabres game that was a few weeks ago because I am originally from Buffalo. The second game was the best though because Buffalo scored a goal with only 7 seconds left in the game! Even though they lost in overtime, when they scored that goal, I was ecstatic! The energy in the arena was amazing. Everyone was on pins and needles in overtime waiting to see who would score. This was only my second hockey game ever and I am officially a hockey fan simply because of this game.

Top thanks to the crew and staff at the Phillips Arena. They were warm, friendly and always helpfull with any questions asked. Everybody from the parking garage to the food court in the CNN Center to Phillips Arena made you feel welcome and enjoyed having you there. Smiles, warm friendly chat and helpful information on sites around the Atlanta area. The Altanta police department was skillfull in moving traffic after the game to help people move along. The only drawback was the panhandlers around the arena and along the traffic route(and the Penguins lost),but all-in-all it was an event worth going back again to.

My mom and I had seats in Section 120, Row T. It was the last row of the lower bowl behind the Pens' net. I could see the whole ice and the players very well. The ushers were kind enough to let us Pens fans go down to the glass for warmups and I got some great pictures. So thank you ushers. There were a ton of Pens fans in my section and it was fun to cheer along with them. The Atlanta fans were nice and no one was rude to my mom and me. The concourse is awesome and my mom and I enjoyed the Victory Knot giant pretzel a lot. The Penguins lost 1-0 but it was a great game. Philips Arena is a really great arena and we found parking about 5 blocks away for only $5. Overall, I love going to games in Atlanta because of the arena and the atmosphere. This is a 5 star event for all living in, around, or visting Atlanta. The quality of the hockey itself has improved over the years and the events going before the game as well as during the games breaks were well organized, complete with prizes, music, and big-screen entertainment. Food and drinks inside the arena can be costly; however, the CNN Center attached to the arena has better prices. Also there are plenty of places around the arena with better prices as well. If you're coming from out of town and would like to make a weekend or even an entire day of this area, keep in mind that Phillips is within walking distance of the GA Aquarium, World of Coke, and Centennial Park.

After living in Pittsburgh all my life and recently moving to Atlanta it's great to be able to see the Penguins play. Back in the Burg the games are sold out. I'm also amazed at the number of Penguin fans that come to these games. It's alot of fun and we're planning to see the Penguins in Atlanta next season. I hope the Thrashers are still here. There are still alot of Thrashers fans at the game, and some of them take their hockey very seriously. For myself; I'm a Thrasher and Falcon fan as long as they're not playing the Pens or the Steelers. Maybe I should get into basketball; now that the hometown has one.

The seats were amazing and the arena was great. I'd come back to any event at the arena due to how nice it was. Already planning a trip back next season. My only negative part was the lack of control that one certain Atlanta fan had, when he didn't agree with a call ran down from his seat (Top of the Lower Bowl) to the glass. I was shocked that they allowed this. And then later in the game they showcased him downing a beer on the jumbo tron. Very unclassy of the Trashers.

Too bad hockey isn't one period long. THrashers were leading 1-0 at the end of the first. The second period was dismal, giving up 4 points in a little over 5 minutes. Thrashers got within 2 in the third period before the Penguins added a junk goal on an empty net. It was still a nice outing - especially if you are taking your 8 year old godson for your annual game.

We missed the fighting spirit of the Thrashers. This was very disappointing! It was not worth the money. To this game I invited two friends from Germany for the celebration of a special amercan sports event. The performance of the Thrashers was absolutely embarassing and could not meet the lowest expectations of my visistors. This was the best gave we have seen yet. We sat 5 rows from the glass. Thrahsers win after a shootout. No one left the game eventhough it was weeknight.

Fun night, Fun Sport, OT is always exciting. Loss with 46 sec left or we would have seen a shoot out.

This was truly an enjoyable night of first for the four of us. This was our first visit to Phillips Arena, our first Thrasher game, and our first hockey game. The venue facility was great. We had contemplated having dinner prior to getting to the game, but with afternoon rush hour a consideration, we decided to eat at one of the concession vendors at Phillips Arena. This turned out to be a good choice because we arrived about one hour before game time and there were a number of Buckhead Life Restaurant Group affiliate vendors such as Veni, Vidi, Vici, Nava, and Kyma to name just a few. There were other food and beverage offerings as well. Our seats in row "L" of Sec.117 were great. The game was good with the exception of the score with the Thrashers losing 1 to 3 to the Ottawa Senators. The break entertainment was just that, entertaining. And the overall excitement and enthusiasm was great.

The Philips Arena is a very nice facility! I was staying in the OMNI CNN Hotel and didn't have to walk outside to get to the arena. I was in section 213 row J - the view of the ice was very good but could not see the scoreboard. There were 26" Philips tube tvs non-hd non-wide screen co-playing the action and also scored replays - I did miss being able to see the actual scoreboard. There was a nice selection of food and ok selection of beer. I was disappointed though that I couldn't walk all the way around on the main level. I typically like to walk around the whole facility just to see what all was there and I could/did but had to retrack at both stopping places. Overall, sorry for the Thrashers for losing to the Senators but had a nice time.

When my family and I got to the arena, it was our first hockey game. We were surprised to see so many fans. But once the game started we were hooked! We are already planning our next visit and inviting all of our friends and family! Go thrashers! :)

This game was awesome!! Very exciting the whole time. This was my first hockey game and before I knew it I was jumping up and cheering with everyone else. The arena was very nice and I was very glad I decided to add the parking voucher because it was right next to the arena which made it very convenient. I would highly recommend to anyone.

I was somewhat dissapointed that Thirsty Thursday did not come with discounts on beer, but instead free refills on soda.

The seats we had for the Flyers game where fabulous and for the price UNBELIEVABLE! This is a great arena to watch a hockey game. We traveled from Philadelphia to Atlanta especially for the game and we were not disappointed. There is great food, a nice selection of beer and the Atlanta fans were still hospitable even though we were cheering for the opponent.
