Aries Spears was amazing. He started on time, keep me laughing in fact I laughed so hard I had a headache at the end of the show. This guy is hilarious and the crowd participation was fun too. I can't wait until he comes back. .. I will definitely be there.

Great material. Brought back some old bits, which is great. The two openers were good as well, the second one was a bit better than the first.

Aries Spears was outrageous and insightful!! He kept the audience mesmerized with his jokes, impressions, and insights on life. He takes deep and serious situations and shows the banality of it all. I don't know if he is more a comedian or a scholar.

Most know that stand up comedy is not for the faint of heart and Mr. Spears left no doubt. If you are easily offended, he is not the comic for you for two reasons. First, he jokes about everyone in a rather crass way and, second, he will call you out if you get upset. Overall, it s worth it because he is funny and that s the point.

Aries Spears is by far one of the funniest dudes on the planet. I wonder why he is not more well known for his comedic skills. The wife and I laughed uncontrollably trhu the whole show, even at parts that weren't part of the show were funny. Aries quick wit and great timing had all of us in stitches. Can't wait to see him again

Aries spears and Deray Davis both put on headliner level performances. Disappointed that earthquake wasnt there... but by the end of the night it didnt matter, Good times.

What I thought would be edgy seemed to be a routine out of the '90's. And he got mad when we didn't laugh - said the audience was uptight. You can't yell at people to laugh at you - you just have to be funny. He was incredibly talented, good at impressions, and I laughed a lot. However, the other headliners I've seen at the Club have been a cut above. Jokes about special needs kids are over. Talking for over an hour about p$%sy just gets boring. And, he said a lot about his divorce without including a joke.

I went into the show with high expectations having watched some of his comedy online and thinking that he was a talented and unique person in the industry. Left with the opposite impression. He talked the majority of the show about his fetishes in graphic detail while most in the crowd did not laugh. All kinds of material that I have never seen on stage or in comedy posted online. Yes, some of his material I did find myself laughing at, but for how long he has been doing comedy. For example, some of his crowd work included telling one girl (who was there with her boyfriend) that he was sure she would be good in bed. I felt myself cringe and heard minimal laughter from everyone else. He talked about women in degrading ways saying women's greatest powers comes from intercourse. He had some extremely racist stuff to say about native African people. I give him a one star, not because I would rate him zero or negative if I could and Ticketmaster only starts at a 1, but because he did get some laughs and that is what a comedian's job is. It would have been nice to witness Aries do it in a classier and more clever way. I came in an Aries Spears fan and left thinking he is one of the biggest hacks in comedy. P.S. Someone mentioned Aries' divorce and I echo the sentiments that the bitterness and anger from it all does affect the performance.

We drove 3 hours to see the show. The location is quite intimate, i sat in the second row of tables. The show was going really well, until he claims he was being heckled by a gentleman in the front row, which i sitting near, but was not able to hear. Aries became a bit overly dramatic and it just killed it for me. I was no longer liking his attitude and how he would say "ok, i'm gonna end the show." The issue with the gentlemen became the subject of the show and was not funny, I would not pay or go see Aries spears for free. For being in the industry so long, he could have handled the issue much more professionally instead of being so dramatic.

It was my first time seeing him and I was not disappointed! I was laughing every moment. I hope to see him again in Sacramento! Much luv for you Aries Spears!

The show was really good and entertaining. the crowd was really engaged. Loved how there was a mix of people at the show. My honey and enjoyed it. Will definitely be back for other comedians.

One may recommend taking a break from standup after a divorce, but Aries chose to take it to the road. His loneliness and bitterness was incorporated into his routine which made a different style of Aries. Not nearly as many impressions, musical numbers, and parodies as his past performances. But he did a great Stallone! He has gotten far away from his personas on MAD TV, but still cracks some good jokes, especially lusting after the younger ladies in the crowd. Even though he was trying to minimize audience participation, that didn't work well with this crowd. We wanted to be active! I am certain he will use Sacramento in some bits in the future regarding interracial couples, diversity, being "from the hood", and Indian people screaming "I'm from Fiji!!!"

Amazing show!!! Been following him since MadTV and I loved him so much on Shaq's All Star Comedy Jam. One of the best hands down.

Unfortunately I was not able to attend because I had a show that night. I so desperately wanted to go but I gave my ticket to my brother in law. He was extremely excited to go and he absolutely loved it. Maybe next time, Aries! Remember, when you grin, you win!

outstanding performance. Not only was Aries even funnier than on tv, but he was real down to earth and real. Had no problem walking in the area with his fans. Just an all around great guy who tells it like it is.

The how was amazing. I even loved the opening act. I laughed so hard my stomach was hurting and I was in tears. That was my first comedy show & I must say that I am looking forward to my next one also.

All those years of watching mad TV and I never relaized how funny Aries Spears actually was. I mean I knew he was funny, but damn he had me bolstering with laughter. I swear by the end of the night I had jokes that I could use amongst my friends. After the show per usual you can meet the guest which is great, but I most enjoyed about my experience that night was that he was willing to take a picture with you without you having to buy any of his merchandise. Unlike other comedy show that I have been to you can tell how humble he really is. I'm a Bostonian all day but he may me feel that New York love!!! I will defintely go see hime again!

My girlfriend and I attended this show not knowing who Aries Spears was and he ended up being absolutely hilarious! We both laughed our asses off through the entire show and still make references to some of his jokes to this day.

The show was great. He had great energy considering that it was the 2nd show. I've never seen him live before, but was intrigued to see the show based on a radio show appearance.

Very fun night. The drinks were mixed well, the steak sandwich meat was cooked perfect, and Arise was hilarious.

Aries Spears was hilarious! So real and down to earth! He should definitely have his own HBO or Showtime special! Buy these ticket you won't regret it!

This is the third time I have seen Aries Spears and he gets funnier each time. He is non stop laughter on stage, and it seems like he performs for a long time. My only warning, is if you are easily offended, don't go. He jokes about things that maybe some people may not think are funny. But he doesn't apologize for it, and I love that about him. If you can't laugh at some things? Then what are we here for? I also love that he chastizes people who won't shut up while he is on stage. I was seated next to the "drunk" table and they were getting on MY nerves. We were in front of the stage to the side and I could clearly see his face. He looked over at them with stink eye quite a few times, giving them the chance to shut up. They didn't, and he let them have it. We applauded !! I highly recommend Aries Spears....and Cobb's is the best club in the City !!

Aries Spears is one of the most hilarious standup comedians working today. His impressions are on-point and I was laughing hysterically throughout the show. Unfortunately, the crowd was a pretty bad crowd and so the energy level in the room fell a bit flat at times. Not Aries's fault, because he was incredible. Even took time to take photos with the audience outside. Can't wait to see his next show!

Awesome show! The seating and view were great. Best of all, Aries was awesome in how he dealt with the crowd.

The show started almost an hour late but it was worth it. The club was clean and the wait staff were really quick with getting drinks. The two opening acts before Aries were really good. Aries Spears act was awesome. My girlfriend and I sat in the front row and we both laughed our asses off. The next time he comes to Sac we will watch him again. He should be on TV or in movies because the guy is hilarious.

This was my second time seeing Aries Spears. He's one of those under rated comedians that most people don't know or hear too much about. I had my sister's with me at the show. They heard of Aries, but had no idea how funny he was. Aries earned himself two new fans. If you need a laugh I recommend this show

Great show. He did some old classic materials and new ones. Really enjoyed the show. Of you are a fun, you def will not be disappointed. I was kind a looking forward for him to do the impression of rapers like he does, but he didn't. Maybe it was on the later final show, I went to the early one. Good performance overall.

Great show....Although he was working on his new material, he did it very smoothly and it was extremely funny and well received. Interacted with the audience, squashed hecklers and at several points had people falling out of their seats. Performed forever, stayed around after for CD sales, pictures and just talking. Huge talent!

Great show. Need to leave out remarks regarding daughter

I bought my tickets the moment the show was announced. I was disappointed that our seats were way in the back against the wall. HIghlight was having Aries Spears walk by me and say hi! He walked around the crowd and was very approachable. His show was incredible. Laughed until tears streamed down my face!!! I bought his CD after the show.....simply to support his $30K a month child support payments. If he comes to your city, you HAVE TO see his stand up performance.

Loved the show! Aries Spears was awesome, and Damon Williams was great. Service was a little slow, and the air conditioner didn't seem to be working, glad we weren't dancing. It was hot in there. But overall I would recommend attending an event there. I hope to see more comedians there in the future.

When I heard Aries was going to be in San Francisco I told my family and eight of us went to see him and we were NOT disappointed. Even thou I knew most of his jokes he mixed it up to keep it fresh. Also, he enteracting with the crowed was funny as well. It's a shame that hollywood want give this man his on show like Bernie Mac or a movie where he could be a conmen using all of his imations in disguise to get things. In the in he could saves the USA or his committee.

Aries Spears put on a great show with great material. My first time seeing him but I would definitely see him again. The other two acts were funny too but the second guy was better. Overall an A+++++ event !!!

Really recommend seeing Aries Spears perform.. very entertaining and keeps you laughing the entire time! Cobbs Comedy club is in a great location and very nice set up inside.. I would recommend they upgrade their menu, that was my only criticism of the night

It was our first time going to a comedy stand up. We didn't know what to expect but to read others reviews about cobb's. Turns out we got there later than we planned, around 45 minutes before Aries Spears comes on stage. I was worried about the seating since the reviews said its pretty close to other people and they were right. You would have to squeeze your way out just to go to the bathroom, but luckily we didn't need to move. The people we were seating with, kinda shared one table, 4 seats. They were super cool, nice and chill so we was lucky, not to mention, we sat in the third row which is pretty good for being late. The waiter was nice, service was pretty fast. I ordered the chili cheese fries and spicy buffalo wings and it was well worth it!!! Big plates! I ate all the spicy buffalo wings. Two drink min, I ordered root beer float 4$ and my BF had a beer 7$. Aries spears was hilarious, he still got it!!! Overall I would mosdef come back to cobbs!

I just couldn't believe it! We were a little late arriving but made it on time & wouldn't you know it...of all the people that I would have to bump into coming into the Lyric Center - it was Aries Spears! And when I say "Bump in to" - that's exactly what I did..as I was getting my ticket checked at the door - he comes right up to me & all I could say was "Hello, please excuse me." His show was the BEST comedy show I've seen in years! I can't wait until he comes back again!!!! FRONT ROW seats were the best!!!!

Could have done without the opening act because that comedian wasn't that funny. However, Aries Spears was hilarious. He had me on my feet cracking up laughing. My stomach never hurt so much. I always love to see him do his rapper impersonations because he does them so well. It was definitely worth going to this show!!!

He is hilarious!! Loved him and would see him again. The comedy club was a nice size so even in the back you didn't feel to far away. Aries walked around and my husband met him at the bar. Nice guy.

Aries Spears is one of the better comedians. He is a must see & well worth it!!! The opener comedian on the other hand was not that great. His jokes needed work. The sitting situation was set up in an awkward fashion. We were placed with our backs facing the front of the table. Another couple was right behind us. It felt like we were sharing their table and at the same time invading their space.

Mr. Aries was funny and I left with my jaws hurting.

I have been going to comedy shows for 15 years now and will put Mr. Spears up there with the creme of the crop. He's current, creative, and his impersonations are crazy good. I have seen him three times now and he always has new stuff with a good mix of his money maker jokes. He is a must see!

The show was great it was just much too long for a Sunday night. I had to go to work the next morning and after cook all day for my Mother it was a bit to much for me.

I really enjoyed the comedy Xplosion. You got plently of bang for your buck. The only thing, I didn't like was the show was way too long for a Sunday night. Had it been a Friday or Saturday, I probably would not feel that way. Other than that, the show was great and the comedians were really funny~ Loved it!

I've never laughed so hard in all my life. I'd have to say my favorites were Steve Brown and Michael Collier, but everyone one was great!

The show was a complete success. All comedians were excellent, with Michael Collier bringing it home. The whole atmosphere was pleasant and exciting. My favorite was Tony Roberts, he is a straight-up fool and I never laughed harder. He needs to do his own show, cause he ripped it to shredds. Peace!

This event was full of unknown comics. Everyone told the same jokes sex, the president and more sex. It was also too long, if your going to have 15 comics you need to start before 7pm on a Sunday night. Some of us have to work for a living.

This show should take wings and just rock from city to city, I want to see it again

GRET COMEDIC ROUND UP. DEFINITELY MORE FUNNY FOR YOUR MONEY...There was about 10 acts total...the 1st two were ok and needed maybe a little more material w/ stage time but definitely have potential for the future. Then Doo-Doo Brown came in and raised the heat!! The fourth act was decent enough to keep the temperature where it was, and after that the rest of the acts keep raising the bar and the heat and the laughter. Didn't help much that the place was halfway full when it started but by the time Doo-Doo Brown came on the place was damn near full. The host had his moments two although he messed up the introduction for some of the standouts...he too has potential w/ a little more material and stage time to help his stage presence. J. Lamont, DOO-DOO BROWN, STEVE BROWN, TONY ROBERT & MICHAEL COLYAR TORE IT DOWN!! And the Ladies Lunelle and Melonie Camacha brought the funny!

I only bought tickerts so I could see my favorite comedian, Tyler Craig, who did not even perform. That was my only disappointment. Other than that, I found some new favorites...Steve Brown and Jay Lamont were hilarious!!!

The event should be shortened to 2 hours maximum. The comedic talent was first rate! Perhaps there should be some consideration shown to those people who come to be entertained not to hear extreme profanity ever other curse word.

Aries was funny as usual, but he took it up a notch when he started clowning this dude who was mean-mugging him. Every punch line afterwards ended with a reference to the sweater--everybody was cracking up!!

What an amazing show! This guy keeps getting funnier and funnier. I honestly think his stand-up is his best quality and I hope he gets bigger in the near future. Big ups to my man Areis Spears!
