Providence Bruins

As always the best bang for the buck to see a professional team play.

I've been a Bruins fan for very long time of both Boston and Providence. The Providence Bruins offer the best bang for your buck when it comes to seeing professional hockey. Especially seeing these young guys who are the future of the Boston Bruins. As anyone who loves the Boston Bruins, you have to know that alot of the guys in Boston got their start in Providence before being called up a long term basis.. Or some players will have a duel contract where they'll play between both teams through out the season. Some of the biggest names started there...Tuukka Rask, Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand,David Krejčí, David Pastrňák, Charlie McAvoy and so many more players. Honestly, there isn't much difference in seeing Providence play and seeing Boston play. There is no difference in intensity of the game, the speed of the game or anything else. The Providence Bruins offer such a good atmosphere for people to bring their families, offer free merchandise at the door for the first couple thousand to get in, having the kids ham it up on the dance cam, doing special ticket packages and birthday packages, you just can't beat it. On the Providence Bruins website, they offer so many different affordable ticket packages to pick from. A friend of mine buys the 20 game ticket package and its roughly around $300. You couldn't dream of getting that type of deal up in Boston. I recently got a birthday package for my daughter, for $130, we 6 game tickets for one game, free popcorn, ice cream and soda, plus a birthday message on the score board, a visit from the mascot Samboni, a bag of free merchandise including rally towels, hats, thunder sticks, and other game merch, plus 3 additional game tickets for another game. Seriously, you can't beat a something like that. Some people have the idea that if its not the NHL, its not the same and honestly those people couldn't be more wrong. If you want to see professional hockey at an affordable price, this is it. As far as the Dunkin Donuts Center goes. Its a such a perfect venue to watch hockey at, its a small 11 thousand seat arena, the Bruins average about 8000-10,000 in attendance. The concessions are what you expect at any venue as far as price goes. The best part of the venue is the comfortable seating where you actually have elbow room and you don't feel like the person next to you is crowding you. Also the seats are positioned to where you actually have room for your legs and your knees are hitting the seat in front of you. The best place to park is at the Providence Place Mall, which for 2-5 hours, its only $2 to park and you can just walk right through the mall, through the corridor and straight to the arena without actually stepping foot outside.

Great family fun as always! I love bringing my daughter and her friends to these games! Bring back some of the old "get hype" songs!! We loved those they always got the crowd excited!

We had a blast! Very family friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back for another one!

A friend recommended the seat selection for a Providence Bruins game as a great take for a family outing. After Sunday's game I would heartily agree. My husband, myself, and our two girls aged 8 and 6 were thoroughly entertained the entire game. The girls especially enjoyed the fan cam candids up on the big screen and the mighty mites ice time during the breaks. Overall a very enjoyable experience. A special note about the staff - the woman in our section was exceptional. She entertained the girls with stories about highlights of other games, and loads of general hockey info that we as novices were not aware of. She made us feel very comfortable and welcome.

Great seats, great game - finally I got to see a PB's win. Beverages (beer) a little steep at $8.00 and $9.50 for a minor league hockey game, but....

This was my first trip to see the Providence Bruins. Don't know why I waited so long. Quality hockey at a very good venue. You get a lot for your money. I intend to go to several more games.

We had so much fun! The stadium was easy to get to, parking was not a big deal, and it was easy to get in and get to your seats without having to get through huge crowds. Ticket prices were really reasonable so we were able to get second row seats. As a feeder team for the Boston Bruins, the Providence Bruins games provide a really fun opportunity to see up-and-coming talent. The match-up against the Connecticut Whale was pretty solid and there were plenty of... altercations. I would definitely go back as a more accessible alternative to an NHL game.

I went for my first hockey game, the Dunkin Donuts Center was clean and friendly. Easy to find and parking was right next door Had so much fun we are going again in March

We miss the NHL but the Providence Bruins are just as good. Great venue, great seats, and great time!

Bruins didn't look great in their home opener. When their opponent were still feeling them out through the first period they held their own. In the second and third however the Monarchs came out hard and fast and overwhelmed the Bruins completely. So it was a bad way to start the season. But it was hockey. Better than nothing.

We had a great time but the worse seats ever. I tried to surprise my husband with tickets but didn't realize the ones i choose were in front of a rail and near the stairs where everyone walked in front of us to get snacks. Game was fun too bad we missed most of it

Hockey game was great but should try to seat large groups together instead of seating random families in the middle of a group.

felt more like a world wrestling match, than a hockey game. Prices for tickets cannot be beat, however, but $17 for a hamburger and beer? Ouch!

The Dunk is a great venue. But I felt assaulted by the constant blasting from the PA system which must have been to 40 dB's above the threshold of pain!! Seriously someone could suffer hearing damage. I had to block my ears and prayed for the puck to be dropped so the noise would end. One of these days someone may file an action so watch it!!

I went to my first Providence Bruins game since the initial season of 1992-93. There seems to be more of a family friendly atmosphere compared to the last game, as lots of kids were in attendance, including my 6 year old nephew. We had great seats in the corner about 8 rows from the ice. The only thing that could have made the night better is a better performance by the P-Bruins. They quickly fell behind and could not catch up. After this experience, I do not want to wait soo long to go to my next game!

Great game, love the Dunk, venue is in great condition and its convenient to parking and other downtown attractions.

The music and constant ads on the scoreboard are ear-splitting loud, the lighting is too bright and the print on the programs is so small, bring your magnifying glass. Bring sunglasses and a hat with a visor

The game was good, fast-paced. The seats were excellent and pricing couldn't be beat - BOGO Free! Only half of the concessions were open, so the lines were long, and there were limited choices for snacks. I wish there were more snack options at the DD Center, but part of that is from constantly being at the Boston Garden with snacks galore! Overall a great time with adult siblings and family.

The Providence Bruins game was a fantastic family experience. Watching the players stop during warm-up to engage their young fans and in some instances toss them a puck was exciting. This venue is very good to watch hockey. The only drawback to the night was that a number of concession stands were closed so the wait was at least 30 minutes.

We just watched an amazing hockey game between Providence and Springfield. This was the first time we saw an AHL game in Providence. Great venue and the caliber of the hockey was very excellent. We will definitely be back for more games. Very entertaining!

Always great venue at the Dunk...but the Bruins played poorly. ..goaltending was poor and they couldn't keep the puck on there sticks.Most shots missed the net.

Attended the 2/17 and 2/18/17 games between the P-Bruins and Hershey Bears - Saturday night game was much better as the Bears won that one. Nice arena and good food selection - nice team store also. Had a great time.

Me and my family go to a P Bruins game every year and we make a night of it. We have always gotten BOGO tickets and there has always been a fight which makes my kids happy. This year, however, things were a bit different. P Bruins did not offer BOGO tickets until two days before the event that we had already purchased tickets for and there was no fight to be had during the game. This is and always has been a good night out for us but was a little upset to receive email on bogo tickets as late in the season as we did.

Although they did lose, the seats were amazing. I could've kissed the other team if I wanted to, thats how close I was to their bench and the back up goalie. There were two little kids in front of us and they were able to high five the other team when then went on and off the ice. Overall, great game.

Good price for great seats. Kids love the hockey, great for teaching them the game. They loved the intermission shows (Zamboni x 2). Not sure the B's have much help for their woes hiding in a providence though!

Took my family of 5 for $100! Awesome seats, lots of excitement and it even included a hot dog and a drink. Got to pick our own seats from ticketmaster and chose the front row in the corner. Incredible action, highly recommended!

My wife and I always enjoy AHL games at DDC. Traveling from NY we appreciate the exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere ... not to mention the comfortable seating. The friendly staff adds to the fun time, as well.

As a huge Boston Bruins fan, I love to go and support our AHL affiliates. Before this game, I had only seen Providence as the away team at other venues. While the other venues served their purpose, I was blown away by how much nicer The Dunk is in comparison. With a mini pro shop dedicated to the franchise, awesome seats that are very affordable and helpful staff, The Dunk is definitely the best AHL venue I have attended so far, and stoked that its their home venue. After that game, I cannot wait to go again. Go Bruins

My kids had a great time watching the Bruins play the Wolf Pack. Parking was easy and the stadium was outstanding. Planning on going again.

Game was amazing. HWP tied it up last minute of play sending them to OT! Dunkin Donuts center was clean, smaller than most venues, seats were fantastic. Overall grew at experience, awesome game, will definately be going back. Especially for BOGO Sundays.

If you like hockey and can't get into Boston to see the Bruins this is the next best thing. Easy access into Providence and quality hockey. A great night out!

The arena is nice and updated and the product is worth the price of admission. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Any hockey fan should go there to take in a game. Great place to bring the kids.

I love coming to these games. I ended up winning a signed helmet from one of the 3 raffles at this game which my son is very happy about!

I've been to two Providence Bruins games so far. One in December, one a few days ago. I must say, as a die hard Boston Bruins fan, I've always wanted to check out Providence and see the farm team play but feared it wouldn't be the same. I was completely wrong. I cannot describe the amount of fun I had attending both games and on top of that, a fraction of the cost of going to a Boston game. For $30, I got to sit in front of the glass behind the goal tender. You're lucky if you can score a balcony seat at a Boston Bruins game for $80 against a crappy team. The whole atmosphere was great, very fan and family friendly and for certain games, they'll do package deals where you can score $4 tickets for $100 which includes hot dogs, soda and merchandise, you cannot beat that. The entertainment between periods is fun and the crowd definitely gets into the action, which consists of local pee wee hockey leagues from around Rhode Island and Massachusetts. It's absolutely adorable seeing these kids square off and falling over themselves. The fan cam is a treat, music and cartoon images to get the kids to ham it up on the jumbotron. Music is always good and entertaining as well. If you've got sensitive hearing, you may want to bring ear plugs because it does get loud. It's defifntly worth the price of admission, plus they do prize giveaways, like t-shirts, hats, thundersticks and etc, usually for the first couple thousand people that make it into the arena. Now as far as the Dunkin Donuts Center is concerned. I've been to hundreds events at this venue, plus hundreds of events at other stadiums and arenas across New England. The Dunk is my absolute favorite venue for any event and there isn't a bad seat in the house, its small, its intimate and no matter where you're sitting, you're always in for a good time, rather if its Disney On Ice, basketball, hockey, WWE, concerts, its defiantly trumps any other venue in New England in my opinion. Top it off, its so easy to get to and parking in my opinion, is reasonable. You can park at the Providence Place Mall and for 0-5 hours, you can park for $2. Which is what I do. Getting out, just like any sporting event, takes a few minutes. Longest I've ever waited was probably 15 minutes. And the best thing about the parking at the Providence Place Mall is that there is a corridor that goes straight from the mall into the arena, so on the cold nights or the nights its raining or snowing, you dont have to take a step outside, plus you get a decent view of the city as you're walking through the corridor. Security is quick and the staff is friendly as well as the fans are nice as well. Concession I always avoid when it comes to any event. You're better off getting some good food at the mall, which has ample selections to choose, or just find any other local establishment around Providence. Overall, if you're looking for a great night to for hockey at a professional level, witness future Boston Bruins players in the making and the fraction of the cost, then is something you shouldn't miss out on.

The P Bruins make the Sunday afternoon games great fun for kids. The players play really hard. You get your money's worth!

Took my kid and we had a great time. good competition, the food lines are pretty slow but its family friendly on afternoon games.

We live on Cape Cod and we were looking to see the Bruins. They weren t in town so we figured we d try the P Bruins. The cost of three tickets to the P Bruins was the cost of one bruins ticket. We had a great time, saw a great game and these guys played with a lot of heart and put on a good show.

The game was great. Bring your savings.... EVERYTHING is very expensive.

Great game, won by the Pens. Nice venue/helpful staff, but the concession stand food could have been better in selection & quality. Good sound system - hard rockin' music during breaks (maybe a bit loud for some). Knowledgeable, pleasant, die-hard fans for the hometown Bruins (they can really scream). Fun section of Providence, RI. with good bars/restaurants. I would definitely go back.

The game was exciting and the entertainment for the kiddos was great! Had such a great time with our one year old meeting the mascots and they were all really friendly.

I'm happy a bought my ticket online so I could avoid the long lines at the ticket windows and go right to my seat. I like how the convention center connects right to the Dunkin Donuts Center so I didn t have to walk outside in the cold weather. My seat in the upper level section had a great view and no crowds which was nice. The game was enjoyable. It wasn t looking good for the Providence Bruins in the first few periods but they were able to tie up the game. The Bruins scored in overtime to win the game which was exciting. This was a great way to spend the day.

My wife and I took in the game vs. Albany on 10/23/18. Sadly, the Bruins lost but it was a good matinee anyway. The crowd was into it all the way. We hope to get back to Providence sometime as part of my short-term bucket list. That is, the NHL is too expensive so we visit as many minor league games as possible. Thus far, we have attended 8 over the last two seasons. It's a good time all way around. Providence and Norfolk are two very fine arenas. Thu Dunk actually has donuts! Who'd a thunk.?

Other than the ridiculous price gouging for food & drink its a great time. I mean a 16oz pepsi for $5?? Cost outside the arena avg. $1.75. that is shameful. Greedy greedy corps!

I usually enjoy the action here. Great hockey and a real "major" league atmosphere. We are lucky to have such a top-notch franchise here. Too bad we didn't win this game!

Last Sunday's hockey game against the Rocket was an absolutely exciting and fantastic experience, and I truly enjoyed myself. I used to go to these games all the time, but now that seems impossible. The cheapest ticket is something like $26, and I paid $15 dollars to park my car close by. I realize that, if I drive around, I may be able to find cheaper parking, but I want to park where I know I'll be able to locate my car easily and get back to highway 95. The cost of a beer (may have been 20 or even 24 ounce. It did not say on it) was prohibitive, so I realized that I could not, in good conscience, afford my favorite hockey beverage, which detracted from the overall experience. Therefore, I say the complete experience was fair. If parking was cheaper, the ticket a bit more reasonable, and the beer affordable, I would have given the experience an amazing rating. This is a once in a great while type thing, and I wish it could be more.

The prices for this pre-season game was a little pricey. I paid $10 Pre ticket for the game the night before in Springfield. Also, my son's Thunderbird flag was swiped from our seat. Mind you, we were up in an u paper section almost at the top. Our usher was helpful when this happened, but the Guest Services folks were a bit rude and dismissed us.

Prices were a bit high for a pre-season game. Venue staff not helpful...my son's Thunderbirds flag was swiped and we were dismissed like it was not a big deal. (Our seats werebin the uipper section just shy of the "nose bleed section.) Just remember that not all of the fans are for the home team.

Great game, though slightly one-sided. We always enjoy Going to games at the "Dunk." If you're a Hockey fan and NHL games are a little out of your price range, I highly recommend the Dunkin Donuts Center!

Has everything for young and old. Really enjoy how they incorporate school chorus's in the God Bless American /National Anthem & @ this game the Canadian National Anthem in French was amazing.

The seating in the DD Center lacks leg room. Very uncomfortable foro a 2 1/2 hour event.

This is a great event with reasonable ticket prices. The entertainment is high value. I think it is great for all age groups. Hockey is by far my favorite sport to watch live. If you are on the fence, I would strongly recommend going.

my wife n I went to the Bruins game in providence ri. We sat behind the net in a special area where there were only 2 to a row. We were next to the zamboni. Amazing view n plenty of room for just us to. No need to get up over n over when people wanna get up for beer or food because it was just u to in that row
