Nice facility and atmosphere for a hockey game. Great views all around the arena except near the entrance ways where the railings block your views. I would recommend anyone going to this arena to see hockey games. We travelled there to see the visiting team (our home team) play.

Awesome game - Snakes won! Would recommend attending a game to anyone. It's very family oriented with lots of involvement with kids attending. Wish hockey was more prevalent here in the south.

I have attended numerous NHL games, primarily in Atlanta, and seen everyone from members of the Original Six to some of the latest expansion teams play. "Superstars" on these teams have rarely failed to disappoint the crowd due to their lack of intensity and 80% efforts on the ice. We had a group attend the 19 March 2011 Mississippi Surge v Columbus Cottonmouths as well as a recent SPHL game in Pensacola. Ticket prices at third row from glass - less than $30 compared to approx $100 at Blueland, 100% from EVERY player on both SPHL teams, great team interaction with the fans, very cordial staff. I am through paying for multi-million dollar superstars that skate enough to get a paycheck. I know it is every minor league hockey player's dream to get to the big ice, I just hope they don't forget what got them there. My only regret at Columbus was no blimp and no Ice girls (sexist, I know). The traffic coming into the building should be controlled better but the staff was very helpful in trying to keep some order in the chaos once the turnstiles were opened. All in all, a great time and I will certainly plan on ordering a season packet for the 2011-2012 season. GO SNAKES! On a side note - The National Infantry Museum is a must see in Columbus. I work in Fort Rucker, Alabama, and have toured our aviation museum and the Pensacola Naval Museum as well. Both of the afore mentioned museum are great but concentrate on the aircraft (as they should), the Infantry Museum concentrates on the men and women that put the boots on the ground. Awe inspiring, solemn and heroic. Thank God for our military.

This is the worst experience I have ever had inside any venue. Bought ring side seats but never set in them. When entered the Civic Center, which I have been to on several occasions, we asked a gentlemen with credentials around his neck where our seats were, he told us to go upstairs and enter from there to our seats. We did so, but because the arena seats were so poorly marked we went to the wrong seats and had to move when the rightful owners showed up. We then asked another steward where our seats were and she sent us to the other side of the arena. Not there either. We went back to the otherside and asked another steward who pointed us to seats that were half the rink from where we first sat. Not our seats either. We then went back up stairs and looked some more when the steward would let us because they stop you from entering when play is going on. Exasperated and having missed the 1st period we left, never to return. If you want to see a hockey game drive to Atlanta and watch the Trashers play -- at least the stewards know where your seats are at.

This was my first ever hockey game and it was soo much fun!! There were like 3 or 4 fights and I couldn't help but get excited and cheer it on!! And even better feature were the fact that I never in a million years thought I would see 70 Dachshunds all in one place before let alone 70 of them running on ice!!! I will definitely be returning for another game!!

the game was a blast - definitely got our money's worth - the game went into overtime and the cottonmouths pulled it out in the last minute! The fans were into it, the venue was nice, and the food and beer selections were much broader than I had anticipated at a minor league hockey game.

WOW!!!!! The game was crazy it was really high scoring, the "refs" wouldnt let anyone fight??!!! WTH! When you were sure the Snakes were going to win Flyers came back and took the lead. Went on this way for 3 periods. In the last few minutes of the 3rd Flyers Dan Buccella was seriously injured when hit the mouth by a puck--it was bad he was down for awhile and there was a lot of blood. I think the Snakes won the game dont remember that as too worried about Buccella.

The actual game was ok, the fights were spectacular, and the season holder who let the small children sit behind us ALONE should be ashamed, ruined my younger daughter's fun at the end.

FIRST TIME VISIT AND LAST TIME. Officials were amatures, tha fans didn't seem to understand the rules of hockey, and looked and sounded bored. The sponsors target market is 8-15 yr olds, but guess based on who was there at the game it was dead on. The birthday groups sitting on the glass next to me were extremely annoying, I payed for good seats for a reason, but I had 12, 9 yr old girls next to me who couldn't sit still for 2 seconds! Parking was fine and abundant, and didn't cost anything. The vendors in the arena were rude and ignorant, I didn't bring cash and none of them took plastic. The ignorant part was that no one had a clue if there was an atm in the arena let alone who to ask or where to look.

The action on the ice was good - the level of play in the SPHL is fast and well-coached. It didn't hurt that there were a number of altercations through he course of the game!

The game is great, Its tough to get a hockey game in the south. However the pregame prayer, the time out Christian rock band playing, and the intermission interviews with Christian leaders playing on the mini jumbotron is a bit much. I understand this is the bible belt, but this organization must understand what professional business is and is not. If your not into Church being thrown into your hockey, this isn't for you.

I took my Girlfriend (also from Buffalo, N.Y.) to a Cottonmouth game for a Valentines Day Date. I was impressed with the quality of seating for the price, the cost of concessions being reasonable and the excellent behavior of fans in our seating area. A good time for everyone! Not like watching an NHL game, but as close as I can get living in the south. We will be at many more games in the future!

Living in Northeast Atlanta, I decided early Saturday afternoon to drive down to Columbus and take in some hockey. Having worked for a pro hockey team myself, I know the ins and outs of the game night process. I purchased two seats on the glass online via Ticketmaster. I picked them up at Will Call without issue, but then I spent the next thirty minutes trying to find our seats. The seating along the glass is in Director's Chairs (which is fine, and was actually comfy) but the seating "sections" are not marked at all, and there was no one down on the ice level to help us out. We had purchased a hot dog before going to our seats, so by the time (again - thirty minutes later) we finally gave up and assumed what we thought were our seats, it was cold. After not being able to locate a floor usher, or our section, we first asked a building employee located at Guest Services (who had no clue) and then wandered upstairs and asked FOUR different ushers, none of whom could tell us where to sit. Eventually, one of them, presumably a "manager" usher, said he'd go check. We waited over ten minutes, with no return. Eventually, the usher lady we were standing by called down to him and he told her to tell us to meet him by the box office and he'd print us new tickets. We go back down to the Box Office and he's absolutely nowhere to be found. Eventually, a greeter lady comes up and asks if she can help us. She told us to go back where we were and there should be a floor level usher there to help, if not - to come back and get her. Needless to say, I had to go back and get her. She walked over with us, decided that we could sit where we thought we were supposed to be (and had started at in the first place) and said if anyone gave us any problems, to come find her. We spent the remainder of the evening there, with no issues. However, we did have cold hot dogs and missed all of warm-ups. I work in the industry. I get it. ...but to have a building where NO ONE knows seating sections? To sell GLASS SEATS online, at a higher price, and have multiple people tell your customers that the section "doesn't exist" and "you'll have to get new tickets printed?" It's not hard to educate your staff. I know, I've done it.
