The American Rodeo

This was a fantastic event. Cowboys from all around competing for $2 Mil. worth of prizes. Very well done. The competition times were unbelievable and we could tell that they were going all out. I will go again next year!

The American rodeo was so awesome!!! 1st time I have been to this rodeo and I can say that I will be back year after year. A friend of mine, and I, had the Trevor Brazile package so we really enjoyed the tour and walking down on the arena floor and of course meeting the greatest rodeo cowboy ever!!! I so enjoyed seeing a lot of my friend's, hero's & rodeo idols.

I thought the rodeo was a complete success except for one absurd atrocity. I Enjoyed the format and was satisfied with the entire event except for one glaring aspect. I strongly feel that it is not acceptable to allow one bull rider that did not make a qualified ride on his first bull to then come back and compete for the big money. If your going to do that, they should allow all riders to ride two bulls and then take the winner from the best average score. How can they justify this blunder. Three men qualified to be in the shoot-out and only those three men should have be able to compete for the title.

Was so very great from beginning to the end!!! Love the Qualifiers right up to the American!! You have done a fantastic job!!! Much better than the NFR. Keep up the good work!! Looking forward to next year!! Every event was world class and the thrill of the competitors running at $100,00.000 plus a chance at a Million!!! Fantastic!

Loved the rodeo but feel like that the way they decided the bull dogging was unfair to KC Jones and do not think that Alvris should have been brought back in the bull riding

Everything was great. wished it started earlier so we wouldn't miss our 9pm flight home

Rodeo was awsome. Die hard rodeoer or city slicker everyone got into it. No matter who you are you will love this rodeo.

Great event, but if it continues to be on Sunday I would like for it to start a little earlier. In my line of work I can't really take off work, so with it being over so late and having a 6 hour drive home it made for a long Monday.

I was very excited to attend this rodeo!! This is such a high caliber rodeo I had very high expectations. This rodeo did not meet any of them. I understand it is still a new event to the sport of rodeo, but it needs to be much more organized. Some of the events seemed "rigged" and no one knew the rules!! For instance, when there was a tie in the million dollar running they didn't give it to the kid because he didn't "earn it out right". I think that is bull crap and that was made up on the spot. The announcers did a poor job of covering that up! For a second instance, in the barrel racing you did not see the timer going on any run. Hell they didn't announce the names until the last 5 or so in the long go. Who is to say that the times were not manipulated if they did not display them?! For a third instance, the bull riding champion didn't ride the entire 8 seconds in the short go, nor should he have been given a score of 88 for such a poor ride!!!!! All of this and much more made this look just like a poor amateur rodeo not a multi million dollar rodeo!!! By the time the short go started half the people in the stands were gone, and by the time the bull rider made his victory lap in the finals there was no one left in the stands to wave at (even though technically I don't think he earned that tile "out right"!). I watched this event on TV last year and it looked poorly executed and organized, but I thought that they were in their first year and things were kind of thrown together. I thought for sure they would have their act together this year. I am a big fan of rodeo and I compete in many different rodeo sports, but the show they put on at the American was down right poor presentation. I have been to local shows that were much more entertaining than that!!! The main issues with it were: 1. Its too long (break it up into 2 days and sell weekend passes) 2. Announcers were not entertaining nor did they get the crowd involved or get several of the contestants names right 3. Rules need to be established BEFORE rodeo starts or issue comes up 4. Organization was terrible (if you have two arenas it should have flowed much quicker and smoothly) 5. Presentation was terrible 6. No one is going to sit 6-8 hours at a rodeo and not get hungry, bu no one is gonna pay $10 for a damn hot dog. They will just leave and go get better food somewhere more entertaining! 7. In general poor execution!! I felt bad for the contestants to have to run in this event because many of them had other more important places/rodeos to be. Ya this rodeo may pay good but if it gets a bad rep or loses composure like it did this year it is going to be hard to draw a crowd, get sponsors, and keep contestants wanting to compete. For such a high caliber event it needs A LOT of work!! Get busy guys!!

The American was an awesome event! Steer wrestling was exciting as well as the team roping. Only thing I would have like to see is that the barrel racing had more lenght for the horses to do what they do best,run. Rasmussen was comical also!

cant wait to go again next yr! we sat three rows up from our seats last yr and were equally pleased. good times with friends and very affordable. no complaints here.

Sorry to say I purchased a $168 ticket us paid $9 for insurance and could not attend because the roads were ice and sleet and I had to drive 200 miles. I did watch it on TV and wish I was there. The event is awesome but the insurance would not pay. THAT SUCKS!!! DO NOT Get the insurance!!

This was our second year to attend and both were amazing. The possibility of anyone related to the rodeo world with a chance to compete much less earn a million dollars is amazing. Also being held at AT&T Stadium what more could you ask for. The set up was perfect. The atmosphere was great. My only complaint would be is it's once a year not more.

The show over all is the BEST.... much better than anything out there.

This rodeo is awesome! The pay off, the excitement, the contestants and their stories. May it continue to grow in popularity!

Great event filled with toughness, tributes and inspiration. Lots of suspense and dreams fulfilled. Americana at its best!

This years The American Rodeo was not worth the cost to attend. I was disappointed in the lack of entertainment compared to last years event. Yes, it's nice to see the top rodeo people, but for what tickets cost, parking, and exaggerated food and beverage prices, best to watch it on TV. It was really no different than going to a local rodeo.

The selection of seats was terrible. Lots of good seats unused, but not available to buy. This forced everyone to have worse seats in the end zone areas. Terrible for fans buying tickets,. Bad PR for the event....

Although the events moved a little slow, all and all it was well done..The prices at the food vendors were really to high. but, the people were polite and did a good job. Our worst experience was being mad to stand out side in the cold rain both Saturday and Sunday..I can not see why they couldn't let us in a little early---The help were there, just standing inside the doors looking at us..Also the outside vendors would have been better serve to set up on the food concourse---they would have many more customers and and sales, when the weather was bad...thx.

The American is an amazing event best rodeo in the world and I support RFDtv but I do hope they fix some rules that need immediate attention in the bull riding and steer wrestling.

We have been to lots of rodeos but this was a first for my niece and she loved it. They did a great job.

Awesome show but it's a bit too long. 5 hours is too much.

Very well put together and run! No action was missed, prices for food was astronomical!

This is the 3rd American I have attended and believe this one was the best yet.

The American was absolutely brilliant, run good and fast. The tickets were first rate great seats and we had them loaded on our phone very easy to use and show at gate thankyou thankyou.

It is the best of the rodeos all in one day. Great experience, will go every year. As long as they stay reasonable.

The talent was superb and the program was fabulous. The giving of prizes at the end could have been shortened a little, but it was well worth the money to go.

The American was the BEST One Day Rodeo! RFDTV Did an Awesome job! The Venue was fabulous and we can't WAIT for next year!!

My third consecutive year of attending and it gets better every year! This is the biggest event for the rodeo contestants! Thanks RFD-TV & Polaris and all other sponsors for putting this on!

We bought the best available seats, two of them, Total $300.00. Section 234, row 12, seats 1 +2. We were so far away from the action that the only way to see anything was to watch the big screen. I can also do that on my own big screen TV so never again will I be going to this event if it is held at a football stadium. Also, the doors opened 15 minutes late. We had to listen to the continuous loop recording that the doors would open at 12:00 pm, they did not.

The American Rodeo is prodigious in scope and length, but so well done that it did not seem 5+hours long! Definitely got our money's worth. The announcing was comprehensive, giving great background info, even if one has not been following Road to the American. Events moved right along, very little down time. The American gets better every year.

Better than expected entertainment. A little hard to stage such an event in an enormous venue such as AT&T Stadium divided into two arenas, but with the massive screen above those issues are less important. Having said that, the producers didn't use the screen effectively to add to the drama towards the end as the $1,000,000 pay day (Triple Crown) was in play among a number of contestants. They should have used split-screen to show Wade Sundell's face, after he qualified, as the other contestants vying for part of the $1,000,000 made their runs. If you have never been to a rodeo, this is the one to attend.

Enjoyed the rodeo. Stadium was so large that almost needed binoculars to really see the action. However the GIANT television screen showed the action well. For out-of-towners, it wasn't the easiest to find the appropriate parking lot (we had purchased parking ahead of time and had to find the correct lot), and DFW traffic was not fun. Not surprisingly, concessions were outrageously priced. Nachos and 2 sodas cost $23.00. The rodeo was great. Ticket and concession prices were high. Parking and traffic were not fun. It was something we enjoyed, but it's not something we'll do every year. Too expensive!

This rodeo hands down is the ONE to not miss all year! Simply amazing! We attend a fair number of rodeos each year and this is THE Greatest one day rodeo there is! Way to go RFD TV.. If you do not watch RFD TV yet you need to!

RFD did it again!! Only this year they had fantastic weather for it!! We've been to all 3 American's and loved everyone, but we finally had great weather to enjoy Fan Fest!! If you just like Rodeo, and we LOVE it....you MUST make a trip to RFD's production....5 hours and an opportunity for an ole cowboy to become a millionaire.

Great time, all the Cowboys and Cowgirls were great and very courteous to fans.

I always antissapate a great show of talent and sportsmanship, and am never disappointed.

Enjoyed every event to the fullest and the finale was incredible

The American was a great event to attend. The organization and how timely the event ran was well put together. There was never a dull moment. The way the arena is split kept things moving along. I feel that every seat in the stadium is a good seat to have. I have and will recommend this event to my friends and family.

This was an awesome show. One we will definitely be back for. AT&T Stadium was so clean and easy to find your way around and staff was so friendly! Very well organized. The only thing I would have liked to see was more information on RFDtv's website for folks attending the American. It was not very user friendly.

The venue was great and the amount of top contestants was amazing. Great attraction for the area to rival a night at the National Finals Rodeo in Vegas.

My husband and I are rodeo fans but this rodeo was amazing!! Love everything about it except the weather this year! We will definitely be going again! Thanks to everyone involved for putting on such a great and historic event!

Great talent and will go again next year. HOWEVER, they need to loose the Polaris vehicles in the center stage area, you could not see the other 1/2 of the arena! We missed 1/2 the events! Also need to have more sponsor booths and opps to buy souveniers! I had money but very little to spend it on.

I ve been to several rodeos and I have to say this was the best. Attended the PBR the previous day but nothing compares to a rodeo. Will attend again next year.

The rodeo was top notch and so much fun! My only complaint is parking. You will have to pay for it if you want to park a mile within a mile of the stadium. But for the price & quality of the rodeo, it is worth it!

This was our first year coming to the American but we will defiantly be back!

Really enjoyed the American! I actually enjoyed it more than the NFR. Although, both are great the American atmosphere was more energetic (if that s the right word lol) and it was more entertaining in my opinion. Will definitely be going back to the American!!

Well organized! Well produced! The world's best compete at their highest level! Want the Fan Zone to return like it was the first year or 2. We have attended all 5 and they never disappoint. We actually attended the semi-finals this year for the first time and will never miss it again! Thanks to Patrick G. and everyone involved!

The American is a great rodeo. This is our 3rd year to attend.

The American Rodeo is fast-paced, high-energy and combines pro rodeo with the chance for the "Little guy" to win big. Great time!

Let me just say that we had a GREAT time! Being from Dallas just made it oh so much better, the food drinks etc. I give The American 5 stars bc it was wonderful , you get to see everyone come in all dressed up to come support people we see on Tv . But one thing I will say that I was disappointed in was the food & drinks .. it s was too costly. I paid 34 dollars for 2 drinks... that s just too much but other than that, it was PHENOMENAL & will do it again next year (with 500.00 to the side just for food & drinks)

We have gone to the American every year. The tickets says it starts at 2:00. Every year we get there at 1:30 and it doesn't actually start until 2:45. (Maybe someday we'll learn to wait!) The entertainment and introductions should start at 1:30, then the national anthem should be at 2:00 and then start the events. We've been going to the NFR in Vegas for 25 years and we love the fact they have 15 cowboys in every event and there's no "down time" and the whole thing is done in 2 hours! We love rodeo but we don't want to be there for 7 hours! Half the crowd left before the finals started. That's the best part! They could easily get this down to 3 1/2 hours - 4 max.

i WOULD TELL EVERYONE TO GO TO THE AMERICAN AT LESS ONE TIME. THIS IS A VERY GOOD RODEO. I JUST LOVE IT THIS IS MY SECOND TIME GOING AND I WILL GO NEXT YEAR.

The action was good when it was happening, but the delays for commercials and other things made the event last way to long. Took over 5 hours to complete and even though I am a rodeo fan, it felt like we were being drug by a tractor in low gear.

The event is getting bigger and bigger each day. It is an incredible RODEO. Thank you!

Flew my Family from Michigan to the American for my Daughters birthday. The rodeo was amazing as always. Opening ceremony was very classy and well done. I purchased 5 VIP tickets for $500 each this was to include dirt access food and drinks, and meet and greet. This portion of our experience was poorly organized, no information was shared in advance, as to what to do etc. We were each given three drink tickets which apparently, are not honored in all sections of the venue. We ended up purchasing drinks. The meet and greet was sketchy at best. food was OK. The seats were good however I think if I go back I will sit one row behind were we sat for $156.00ea. Bottom line show was great VIP package is VIPooo.

The American this year was one of the best ever!!! The top prize money being split between the 3 contestants was awesome. Spreading it around was so great. Will go back again and again to watch the exceptional cowboys and cowgirls at their best. The stadium is so exciting to go to with all the good food and the pro shop to buy Dallas Cowboys items and other goodies.

Fantastic event - lasted over 5 hours of great entertainment. Well worth the money spent on the tickets

This was a fantastic event. Fast paced. Well organized. The best of the best were there!

The Rodeo was great! But we miss the Fanzone that was there from past years.. it had awesome vendors and made the day extra special!

Better than NFR!! It was amazing. Great seats & great event.

We were hog hunting with clients both east and west of the DFW area and stopped in the DFW area to attend the rodeo after our second and third hog hunts west of DFW were over. The rodeo was awesome 5.5 hours of excitement, except for those nasty tv commercial interruptions. Loved the venue and would have given it 5 stars, except for the fact that the seats we had required you go back up two flights of stairs to get to the restrooms. While this was IMHO a poor design for this area, nonetheless the venue as a whole is the best I've been to. I would highly recommend this event to any serious rodeo fan.
