The Dan Band

Not near as funny as they used to be....we were disappointed. Too many F-bombs which usually doesn't bother any of us. But every other word? Really? Too much time spent talking to the people standing along the stage while the rest of the audience just had to observe. None of that was funny. What happened to their funny skits and props?

Dans show was great and took some first timers with us and they loved the show. He got out in the crowd busting chops quite a bit. I Highly recommend seeing the Dan Band.

I went into buying tickets for this show thinking it would be good. I was suprised at how great it actually was. Excellent show!!

If you are looking for something unique then the Dan Band may be your answer. It is popular music and some rap music rolled into a comic act that is funny, and entertaining. The lead singer has a great voice and a personality to boot and was very engaging with the audiance. I had a good time!

The Dan Band was great. Funny, entertaining, no complaints. Club Nokia on the other hand... the show started over an hour late, thhey kept moving everyone around between tables (it was assigned table seating), our table was nowhere near where the seating chart showed we should have been (we were stuck off in a corner where we had to watch a TV on the wall to actually see the stage).

The band puts on a very good show. The music they play is from a large selection. Definitely a must see.

The Dan Band show at the Nokia Theatre was the best thing I did on my trip to L.A. I wish they would come to Orlando, FL.

dan and the dan band are best thing to ever happen to me next to having sex for the first time. they have one of the best shows i have ever seen. keep up the good work dan and i hope to see them again soon. this is a must see show do not miss out.

while I think that maybe my husband and I were close to being the oldest fans at the dan band show ,little did we care because the band was so entertaining we forgot who we were "hangin with"

I have seen the dan band a few times before, and they were awesome! BUT. This time, I brought a bunch of friends with me, telling the how great and funny the show is, and it totally wasnt. They have gotten way too comfortable with their routine, and sang it too fast, to the point where you couldnt understand what songs they were even covering. It just wasnt a very polished show ans seemed like they were pretty much uninterested in being there. I think they really need some new material. I went to the portland show, and some other friends went to the seattle show, and said the same thing about it. I was bummed! Come on Dan Band, give us something good please!

It was a good show...I don't know why they needed an opening act, so I was a bit annoyed having to wait the 2 hours for them to take the stage, and then they played for an hour...so it was a great performance, the dancing was top notch, the venue was ehh---no place to sit if you didnt show up 3 hours ahead of time....

I didn't realize it was mostly a dance routine performed by three dudes that take themselves way too seriously. Why can't you actually have a band play the back up music? It was basically kareoke. Lame.

This is the second time we have seen them. It was just as awesome as the first time and I'll see them every time they come to Seattle.

The Dan Band's appereance in films leads to an overhyped and underperforming karaoke show. Their opening act was average, and the Dan Band failed to upstage them despite being the headliner. If there was a real band the show would have been well worth the ticket price.

Super fun show for anyone really to enjoy! The Dan band is pure musical comedy can't wait to go again. Only thing that bummed me out was that he only played for an hour.

I've been lucky enough to see The Dan Band about 20 times over the past 9 years. I first saw them perform in the smaller room at the Knitting Factory in LA and they won me over. This was my 3rd time seeing The Dan Band at the Showbox in Seattle and I have to admit there was a marked difference. No band! Of course, Dan and his backup singers were still great, but the show lacked a lot of chemistry and energy without the band on stage. I had to laugh that even The Dan Band has seemingly been hit by the economic downturn. Can Dan no longer afford to tour with his band? Will his show now be more appropriately called The Dan? Dan Finnerty is still a great performer, but infinitely more fun to watch with the Band in tow.

Great show, had a lot of fun! The only complaint would be the show wasn't long enough. Oh, and it would be great if they came to Seattle more often.

I loved every minute of it. The Dan Band puts on a show that you will never forget. They are true entertainers.

If you love comedy and you love music this is a must see show. The Dan Band is both a creative and talented group of performers doing a type of show I've never seen before. The selection of songs is perfect for what they are doing and they perform it at a very high level. While not really a part of the "show' the musicians playing the instruments in the background are very talented as well. However, this show goes even beyond the music. The choreography, while simple, is brilliant and once again a perfect fit for the show. Dan is entertaining and engaging, often walking into the crowd to incorporate them as part of the show. While they are called The Dan Band, named after the lead singer the show certainly wouldn't be the same without his two talented and always on point back up singers. The crowd was into the show from beginning until his last "encore" song. My date and I walked away with smiles that had fallen onto our faces from the moment the show started. Not only will you laugh throughout but you'll actually have to admit when all is said and done (at least to yourself) that you really enjoyed the "chick songs" that the group performed.

The show was entertaining, funny, and the song selections fabulous!

This is the second time I've had the pleasure of seeing Dan Finnerty and his band top the girl tune charts. This show is just a high energy, good time for everyone. A must see

Didn't know what to expect but these guys are a very talented group. They kept the music & comedy coming all night. Very good show & would go see them everytime they come to KS.

I have been wanting to see The Dan Band since The Hangover came out. They did not disappoint. They sing and do a comedy routine all at once. My husband and I laughed the entire time. It was worth the wait.

these guys put on an excellent show..... you will laugh so hard you will cry. its one of the best concerts we have been too. We could see them over and over. Meet the band afterwards to take pictures which was awesome.

Went with my husband and it was an awesome experience! We enjoyed the entertainment and had a great night! Would definitely go again!

I knew the Dan Band would be entertaining but I was surprised by how much FUN I had at the show. Dan can improvise like nobody else. His singing and dancing is entertaining and his crowd interactions will keep you laughing until long after the show is over. My face hurt from laughing so much and my friends and I were quoting him all weekend.

From the beginning to the end of the event, it was hilarious- it was like a musical comedy!

This is my 2nd time seeing The Dan Band.....the first was last year in Annapolis at Ram's Head. I like to go see stand up regularly and the first time seeing them blew me away. I admit I was a little nervous this time because I didn't know if it could possibly live up to the expectations of seeing them again. To make matters worse, I had talked it up so much, friends were coming expecting to see something mega. They did not disappoint. Had us all doubled over laughing.....the show is hilarious, go...don't even think about it, just go.

Yawn, I expected a lot more bang for my buck, Show had its ups with mostly downs, I'm a big fan of Dan Band & enjoy there Funny rude/ sexual lyrics but we all felt like they just threw there act together and were very suppressed because his girlfriend was in audience as he mentioned a few times The Stage set Was Lame The sound was ok The lighting was lame ** I Would have at least threw a couple hot chicks up there dancing or as props during some acts instead of watching 2 dudes dance around all night lol

I can not say ANYTHING good about this event. The "band" is a drum and one guitar. This event is sexual garbage where "the talentless appeals to the tasteless".

The run down venue, terrible sound system and less than energetic atmosphere took away from what otherwise might have been a great show. I have seen The Dan Band several times over the year in other venues and this year they seemed to phone it in, I was moderately disappointed.

It's was a packed out show. I laughed my hardest from beginning to the end. Must see never knew where the laughter was coming next. Go see it to understand better. Awesomely a must see.

Awesome show! Dan sings mostly girl songs accompanied with crazy dances & his back up guys are great too! In between songs, he comes into the audience & messes with people. I was in the front row & my boyfriend & I got picked on. There was also a great moment where he brought a couple up on stage that had been married for 49 years & got them dancing. Dan genuinely seems to enjoy what he does. The show was about an hour, maybe a little more. This is very much an adult, R-rated show. If you have seen him in Hangover, etc then you have a general idea of what he does. Lots of bad language so if you can't handle it, don't waste your money.

I LOVED the show but I have a very open mind & a pretty off kilter sense of humor making the Dan Band hysterical. It's like watching a grown man act like a 13 y/o boy as he interacts with the audience. If you are offended by the "F" word do not even think of going.

All the songs were out dated, don't think he has added anything new in 10 years, you can't do the same thing for 10 years or however long he has been doing it and expect people to be entertained. It seemed as though there was very little effort put into it. The concert was just over an hour. It was over all a big disappointment. The canyon club venue is dirty and there price of drinks were way over priced. $10 for a beer?

Pretty damn funny! Great to take out a large group to go and see!

The music is great and isn't even the whole show. Dan's interaction with the crowd is really what makes this show worth the price of admission. Hilarious.

Great show. Great fans. Really involved the audience between songs. It's ironic that The Dan Band were in The Hangover since our group kind of lived our own version of the movie later that night, complete with losing somebody and periods of memory.

This is one of the greatest fusions of rock, pop, comedy, choreography, et al. Dudes singing girl sones interlaced with profanity, improv interaction with the crowd. Excellent all the way around!

This was my second time seeing The Dan Band and it was better then the first time. Dan and his group are very inventive, entertaining and funny as hell. A must see!!

Wow, not sure with this night out to see the Dan Band. All right, a couple of laughs with the first F-bomb but after the 137th one it got tiring and after the 299th real tiring and a real put off. Dan can entertain and is comedic with the audience, puts his energy into all the songs for sure. I was ready to go before the show was over. To sum it up. If Dan would just sing and dance with the back up boys with songs everyone loves with his talented input he would be a whole lot further respected in the entertainment world. Sorry Dan, I wanted to love the show but it fell short with me. Please don't F-bomb me for this.

So much fun and non-stop entertainment. Love the idea of guys singing girl songs. They had the moves for "Single Lady" perfect!! If you don't mind being razzed, sit in the front. Well worth the ticket price!!

I was expecting a night of cheesy covers and sexual innuendo. What I wasn't expecting was some of the funniest choreography and between song stand up comedy I have ever attended. My wife and I had an absolute blast and can honestly say the show was worth every penny. I will catch them they next time they are in town. The venue was also gorgeous and the sound (from an Acoustical Engineer's perspective) was impressive.

This is not going to be the last time I see the Dan Band. They are hilarious from beginning to end!

What's not to love? The Holiday Show does not disappoint!

Simply put, the Dan Band always delivers a fantastic show. They know how to engage with the audience and make sure that everyone's having a good time. If you haven't seen them, you've missed one of the best shows around.

I hadn't even heard of The Dan Band prior to seeing them! Had a GREAT time and told all my friends about them! Great entertainers! I can't wait til they come back and i can bring a lot of friends w/us!! :)

This was such an awesome show! Dan and his band went on about 8:30 pm. Most of his show was based on interaction with the audience. Before every song, he would go to the tables he could reach within the first two rows, and pick people out to comment on, ask their name, where they were from and converse with them a little bit. Then he would dedicate a song to them. The songs were mostly 80's and 90's covers but very well done. It was the perfect blend of music and comedy. His band is fantastic, consisting of a guitarist, a bassist and a drummer with two dancing backup singers who look like twins that just add the frosting on the cake. Definitely worth the price and I will be going again in March. I laughed for the whole 1 and 20 minutes.Go you will love it.

My husband & I have seen The Dan Band at least 4-5 times, the first few were when we lived in Philly, and again last summer at Club Nokia. The reason we keep going back is because of how much FUN the show is! Dan & his backup singers, Gene & John will catch you off guard with their antics if you've never seen them before, & if you have, they'll STILL do something funny that you didn't expect, OR that you continue to find hysterical. I've met Dan several times, starting w/ his interacting w/ me from the stage since my husband & I always are AT the stage, & on one occasion, I was wearing "opera gloves" that he'd jokingly challenged me to remove either those or...my bra. I said no, but couldn't resist playing along & managed to do the "magic bra removal" w/out anyone noticing & tossed it at him at the end of a song when he least expected it, which lead to him putting it on Gene, one of his FBI-agent-looking backup singers, which was hilarious! By this time, I'd met him briefly after a few shows & had had a couple pics taken w/him, but on that occasion, when my husband & I encountered him, he apologized for calling me a silly name during the show, (no offense was taken by me, it was in good fun,) which was a nice gesture. By the NEXT time we saw him, two yrs. had passed, & after the show, we approached him & I asked if he'd remembered someone tossing a bra at him there at the Troc in Philly, & he said, "YES...is your name [my real first name]?" which, when I told him yes, (it's NOT a name like "Jen" or "Lisa",) he, my husband and I were all amazed at his memory- I mean, he meets thousands of people! At Club Nokia, we got to talk to him a bit more & I'd challenged him to remember my name again, after another 2 yrs., and this time in LA, not Philly, & he still got it right. Despite having a successful, long-running tour, a fan base of many other celebrities, being married to one, having been in several movies & knowing probably everyone in Hollywood & having famous friends, we met a few of them the last time we saw him & THEY were equally as down to earth & nice, (one of them actually took the "obligatory" photo of my husband and I with Dan,) he's not at all affected by his popularity, & is a helluva nice guy as well as a damn good singer. In fact, every once in a while, when one of the "chick songs" he sings pops into my head, NOW it's HIS version I hear! If you like parody, silliness, satire, music, singing, choreography, audience participation-he often picks someone near the front to wipe his sweat from his brow & sometimes brings someone on stage & sings to them, and impromptu, unscripted humor- and if you don't mind being pointed out & teased if you're late for the show or get up to go to the restroom/bar in the middle of a song & other possible funny unexpected interactions, this is a show you shouldn't miss! My husband & I first saw him in 2005 & plan to again soon.

The Dan Band is always a crazy fun time, especially when they do their Christmas show! The songs from their "Ho" album are hilarious, and even better when done live. Dan's interaction with the audience can't be topped. He really does have the gift of gab and of remembering names and little tidbits about the audience members he decides to pick on. I've been a fan of The Dan Band for about 10 years now, and even though their shows never disappoint, I will admit the set list is getting a little stale. While they do incorporate newer songs into their act here and there, it's still pretty much the same set list. I'd love to see them come out with a completely fresh show, as well as more original songs. Maybe next Christmas, we'll have a few more new "holiday classics" to add to the list? :-) This is the perfect show for a group of people who like a little adult humor and catchy girl songs. Perfect night out to laugh, and forget about your troubles for a while. These guys truly are a talented group of dudes.

The Dan Band is always a great time! Dudes singing girl songs with choreography and swearing is what they're about. Dan's interaction with the audience is always unpredictable and he really is a master at thinking on his feet and remembering people's names and things about them. He made me the "Sweat Rag Girl" once and remembered a lot of things about me, which made his serenade to me that more hilarious. Perfect show to see with a fun group of people with a sense of humor. Be prepared if you're sitting close enough to where he can see you... He'll pick on you. Hehe :-)

These guys are so funny and talented. We just saw them at The Music Box last weekend and at Club Nokia on October 30th and once again they know how to entertain. Love the music and the backup guys are great...Dan is very talanted...Can't wait until May 28th@ Club Nokia.

The concert was approx. 1.5 hours so I was disappointed in that. But the Dan Band performed like it was thier first show, after I ran into one of the back ups and Dan Finnerty who took a picture with me. They seem like normal guys who hit some good luck and they seem grateful for the fans.

The Dan Band are hilarious they entertained and beyond. It was a jolly good time as they say great atmosphere great beer and awesome comedy.

This is the second Dan Band show I have gone to and these guys are true entertainers. If you want a great show that will keep you laughing, go see the Dan Band!!

What a great show! As a first timer to the bands live show I would have never suspected it to be as great as it was. The band really makes the crowd a part of the show. High energy and funny as could be. I laughed the whole night! Do not miss this show !!

Just go see them!! OMG, I can't tell you how much we laughed! And they have great voices too! They all have a blast and you can tell they just love performing and working with each other. :) If you can, sit on the inner aisle. Dan comes right down into the audience several times and you just never know what he is going to do! It was a great night and well worth the price of the ticket!!!!!!

He 's as much fun in concert as he was in The Hangover. Loved the show, just wish it was longer. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun night at a great price.

The concert was great. The singing and performance had no down times. The concert went for 1 1/2 hours without a pause. The interaction with the audience was fun to watch and makes you wish you were in the 1st row. The band provides a fantastic evening, one I would recommend to anyone who wants a fun evening with songs they know but have never seen them performed the way the band does it.

Dan is hilarious and the show was awesome! I've been waiting for years for them to come to Florida!

The Dan Band is alot of fun and they play great. Dan and the boys were fun and funny, the venue was great and the drinks weren't terribly over-priced for Orlando.

Excellent show, although the sound in the main seating area was kind of muddy.

I went with a group of 6 friends. Our cheeks hurt the next day from laughing soo much during the concert. Will definately see them whenever they are in town, Awesome.

Such a great time! The seats were front and just one off of center. Absolutely ideal. The Dan Band is very interactive with the audience. They're hilarious. Tables are seated as four people each. It's a really tiny table. Barely fits four drinks on it -- definitely no room for anything more. We got invited upstairs to the VIP lounge with the band after the concert. That was fun, too.

If you have never seen the Dan Band live, I would strongly suggest you take in this great show! The "hits" just keep on coming and the energy of the crowd is sweet! I love you Dan!

An all around great show! Laughed pretty much the entire time. Dan and his band perform estrogen based numbers in the way only someone with an excess amount of testosterone truly can.

A must see...saw it at club nokia in L.A...very funny, no slow moments...would definitely go see them again. HILARIOUS!

This is by far one of the best shows you could see. Tickets are inexpensive (except for Ticketmaster's outrageous fees), and you are very close to the band.

I had seen them before in a more reserved setting and they didn't really talk between songs. This show was incredible! It was a lot like their CD which I love and it was as much a comedy show as concert! I loved it! I bought the tickets as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday and Christmas presents and he said his stomach hurt from laughing so hard!

It was a great experience! Not very expensive for a very enjoyable evening! The open seating was great, my sister and I sat 5th row center. We were very close to the aisle, and it was awesome that Dan came down into the audience for almost every song! Loved it.

Fantastic show!! I really wasn't that famiar with the band prior to the show so I didn't know what to expect going in but I am now a die hard fan!!!! Worth every penny!
