So on the merits of the kids stuff and not weather, it was good. But the concessions were closed and lines sucked. BBQ sold out. The hot dogs were borderline edible. And charging for kids at the water slip and slide in 95 degree weather is almost criminal... when concessions closed.

The ballpark is beautiful and fan-friendly and entertainment is constant (even for the non-baseball fan). The Braves put a great product on the field for the game. The fireworks show after the game was phenomenal --- one of the best I've ever seen!

This was our first trip to see the Gwinnett Braves play and we had a great time. There wasn't a lot of grassy area for tailgating but we made it work. We sat on the berm and with it being the 4th of July, there were tons of people there. Next time we plan to sit in the stands.

We had a family group of 11 celebrating the 4th of July. It was the first time to attend a Gwinnett Braves game for all of us. Everyone had a great time - the ballpark is beautiful, parking was easy, everything was family friendly, the ballgame and the fireworks great. Our only problem was that as we left, we were directed out a different way than we had driven in. We got lost and it took much longer to get home than it should have. Signs directing us back to I85 would have been very helpful!!! Also, the park should allow everyone to bring in an unopened bottle of water. With games being played in the 90+ degree temperature, everyone should be allowed (at a minimum) to bring in a bottle of water. I would like to see you change the ballpark rules to allow food from the outside, but at least a bottle of water should be allowed.

The players took the field and my family found our selves the only ones cheering at a sell out 4th of July event. Every time the outfield board told the crowd to make noise, there was barely a few people clapping. Why go to a sporting event to not participate? It was a completely different experience than the major league Braves at Turner Field. Don't get me wrong, the players were great, they were kind, willing to give autographs, and played a great game. I enjoyed the sportsman side of the event. Also, the no cooler policy is terrible. Basically, Families can attend an Atlanta Braves game for 60 dollars including parking and food. They can bring coolers which cuts down on the purchase of 5 dollar soft drinks and 5 dollar snacks. My overall assesment is that gwinnett stadium is going to have to change a few policies because, who wants to pay almost 40 dollars more per game to see minor league players when they can go to turner field and see the stars for less money and bring there own drinks and food?

Very good game (except Braves lost) a lot of excellent fielding on both teams. Good hitting by both teams. The "extra interest" items between innings were entertaining(two young girls run from first base to second where they put on a very large pair of uniform pants then run to third where they put on a very large uniform shirt then the first one to reach home plate wins a prize. other games also entertaining). The fireworks after the game were fantastic, lasted about 15 - 20 min with almost constant aerial displays with show set to music it was among the best displays I have seen in a very long time.

Fourth of July, a group of six of us adults went to the new Gwinnett Braves Stadium for the first time. With the exception of the parking, which has issues in terms of exiting the stadium afterwards, it was a wonderful evening. Although the G-Braves lost to the Norfolk Tides, it was a close game and therefore enjoyable to watch. It was a hot day but not too hot to wish you'd stayed home, and when the sun went behind the roof the weather became absolutely perfect. The concessions seemed better/cleaner/better priced than at Turner Field with much friendlier staff; The whole ballpark was well designed and maintained. After dark the G-Braves brought out the mother of an Army Sgt. to honor her as a Hometown Hero and then surprised her by having her son come out when she thought he was still overseas. The fireworks were better than one would expect for a minor league sporting event...better than I've seen at Turner Field. All in all, a great place for anyone who likes baseball, and we'll definitely go again as well as recommend it to others.

The Gwinnett Braves made the 4th of July a fun and exciting evening for everyone who attended. What better way to spend the 4th then taking in America's favorite past time and watching FANTASTIC fireworks! I took my family of 6 including 4 children under the age of 9 and had a GREAT time!

The game was good, would have been better had they won. The fireworks were fantastic. Sat on Berm for first time, it was far more fun then I thought it would be. The only drawback was parking. The parking system sucks. The attendants are rude and there does not appear to be any kind of parking plan. Plan to arrive early, and don't be in a hurry to leave.

Took the kids to the game, ate supper @ the stadium, stayed for the fireworks. We had a great time! The game was exciting to the very last of the ninth, patrons were friendly and in a festive mood, and the fireworks were far better than expected. What a wonderful and welcome alternative to sitting in a mall parking lot and fighting chaotic traffic for a 15 minute firework display. Thank you Gwinnett Braves and we look forward to July 4th 2010 :)

What a great day!!! My first time there, I took my grandson (age8) and a friend. Grandson was able to get autographs of the player that hit the grand slam as well a Jordan who hit the winning run. Seats were wonerful ... in the shade ... cannot say enough about the ushers who filled us in about the details of the stadium. We will definately be back .... although it is a long drive from Fayetteville.

For a first visit we certainly were impressed with the whole Gwinnett Braves operation. A thoughtful staffer voluntarily moved us out of the sun and we watched a great game...how often does one get to see a Grand Slam homerun tie the score? Gwinnett Braves won it 8 - 7. The stadium itself is way ahead of the curve in water conservation and reclamation, which we liked. Long-term, this facility will greatly benefit Gwinnett County and its citizens. We'll certainly be back!

If the seats are available the home plate club is the way to go. You get a 2 hour all you can eat buffet, you'll walk past the batting cages in your way to your seat and just might catch one of them taking batting practice. Then when you get to your seat you won't believe how close you are to the batter and you can see everything happening on the field.

From the parking lot attendants to the stadium attendants, it was one of the most enjoyable experiences to date! The best part is that one can get up close to the athletes and action on the field. What could be more American than a cool summer evening in a ballpark with a good AAA team? I HIGHLY recommend the G-Braves and Coolray Field. This was our 4th outing this year and it was great. Evan Gattis was completing his rehab before returning to the Atlanta Braves, Ron Gant (former A-Braves player) was handing out bobbleheads and autographing them for fans, it was under 90 degrees and there was a cool mist (a/k/a fog) that rolled in and stayed with us from the 5th inning on. Did I mention the G-Braves won? They certainly did! It was a lot of fun and a great evening.

This was our first Gwinnett Braves game since it's a bit of a drive for us, and was a double-header but we discovered when there that each game was only 7 innings instead of the traditional 9 because they were playing two games back to back. Not a big deal, just wasn't mentioned in the ticket purchase. The best part of this stadium is that there really are no bad seats. We walked around to look at different perspectives and unless you were out in the kids play lawn you could see the game very well. We are celiac and wish, like at the Atlanta Braves stadium, they had gluten free options, but otherwise a great venue.

Friday May 24 was a perfect day, mid 70s and a breeze. I arrived early and tailgated with a new friend wearing a Dale Murphy jersey. It was handy to have my ticket in advance, because it made entry into the park a breeze and I got to skip the ticket line. Coolray field is new, clean, and a bit limited when it comes to food (you can't bring anything in), but I do have some recommendations: Knucksie's restaurant and bar (full service, AC, and they play the game broadcast so you won't miss any of the action), and McAlisters if you want to get something healthy. The usual burgers, dogs, and nachos are available . A Yuengling draft was only $5.25, which is slightly more than half what it would cost at Turner Field. The baseball interest that night was Brandon Beachy's rehab start coming off Tommy John surgery. I was able to get a ticket between home and the Braves dugout the day of the game, and had a great view of Beachy's stuff.

Great place to see a ballgame, not a bad seat in the house, However, as usual in the case of a minor league stadium, the between inning hoopla wasn't really neccessary - I went to see a BALLGAME - not a circus sideshow. But alas, many major league parks are doing the sideshow atmosphere thing as well. But DO take in a ballgame - you can usually get first row box seats for 12.50 per person, and they are great seats.

It started off kind of bad. My dad needs handicapped parking, but all of the parking was full by the time we arrived. Fortunately, there was a golf cart that provided him & my mom transportation from the overflow parking. Once we got there, they took good care of us and provided a ride back to the car. Despite about 3 innings worth of rain & a huge line in the gift shop, it was a great time at the ballpark. The Gwinnett Braves beat the Durham Bulls; scored 11 runs on 19 hits, including a grand slam! Being the 4th of July, we were treated to an excellent fireworks display after the game. My kids, my sister, my parents and I all had a great time and would definitely go back again.

I wanted to take my son out for a baseball game, have some food and some fun. The tickets we got were great; 5 rows up from the1st base line and for $17.50 for each ticket, I thought it was not a bad price. And I was excited that the food was only going to be $3.00 - BOY WAS I WRONG!!! They did not have any signage as to what was $3.00. He got a pretzel - which was cold, hard and HORRIBLE, and I got a canned beer - $9.00 right in the gate. Then, when the food vendors NEVER came around, we went up to the concession stand and ordered nachos, a footlong (which I really didn't need), a water and a soda - $20.00. Then, finally at the 5th inning, the snowcone vendor came around, which is what my son had been waiting for, $4.00. As MasterCard would say, spending time with my Son, priceless. But at $68.00 for 2 hours of entertainment, I cannot do it as often as I would like. And they wonder why great events that we enjoyed when we were growing up such as Minor League Baseball are a thing of the past. Just not affordable.

I was in town for the weekend, the Atlanta Braves were not. So I bought tickets to the Gwinnett Braves game on Friday evening. This is one of the best minor league ballparks I've been to. The stadium is set up so that at a 7:05 start, over 2/3 of the seats are shaded from the hot Georgia sun. The concession stands are plentiful and reasonably priced. The restrooms abundant and clean. Next time I'm in Atlanta, I just may forgo Turner Field for another visit to Coolray Stadium.

I'll admit, I was a little put off when we first got to the field because they wouldn't let us bring in outside drinks & snacks (ATL Braves does), but once the game got going, we forgot about that incident. SO family friendly... every person we encountered who worked there was super friendly!!! We really had a great time. I honestly don't think there is a bad seat in the entire stadium! The end of every inning had something fun for the families to watch; different games & fun stuff. Our family won a prize! My son (10) was in heaven because we were only 6 rows from the field. He thought we spent a FORTUNE on the seats (used a coupon in the Savvy Shopper and saved 50%). The excitement in his eyes we he got a Wes Timmons autograph was priceless. Every year, when our family comes for a visit we usually go & see the Atlanta Braves. This year, the Braves were out of town so we opted for a G-Braves game. THIS will now be an annual event!!

In my first trip from South Carolina to catch a G-Braves game at Gwinnett Stadium, I had a great time. It didn't hurt that Major Leaguer Tim Hudson pitched amazingly well in the rehab start, getting his first minor league win in nearly a decade. But, even without that, it would have been a great day at the park. The seating is great at Gwinnett Stadium. Everything is nearby — food, drinks, restrooms and even inflatables for kids to enjoy if they aren't old enough to fully enjoy the game. The between-inning events were fun to watch too. And, everywhere I went — from the front gate, to the G-Braves store, to the hot dog line — workers were courteous and helpful. Top it all off with sunny skies and a light breeze, and this was a great afternoon to be a fan at the ballpark. Having gone to the Atlanta Braves game the day before, where they won by a 4-3 score against the Florida Marlins, I can say this was a great baseball weekend. And, after the long walk from the parking lot to Turner Field, the short walk at Gwinnett Stadium was enjoyable.

My wife and I took our sons and a friend of our older son to the game yesterday and it was a blast. We had unbelievably priced tickets in the berm. The boys played the whole time on the bouncies. After the game all the kids got to go down on the field and run the bases. It is very clear that whoever is running that place knows how to appeal to fmailies. And it is MUCH easier and funner than an Atlanta Braves game.

I took my two boys to the game and we had a great time. They are 7 and 4 and because you can get so close no matter where your seat is, it kept their attention! They loved it even though we had to leave in the 5th inning because they were way past their bed time. That was ok too, because it was only $40 bucks for all 3 tickets!! We will definitely be coming back!! Barry

We went to our first Gwinnett Braves game a few weeks back --- it was absolutely fantastic. The venue is incredible and the prices are great. Excellent value during these economic times. Far less crowds and traffic compared to Turner Field - yet the action was just as good (if not better), and you seem to be right down on the field...very close. I highly recommend this...

I took my 11 year old grandson to the game and we both had a wonderful time. The game was active......played hard and well by both teams...with a little contention ( a ball hit the foul pole)...to make it all more fun My grandson was able to collect autographs, including two by players who have since started with the Atlanta team. Chopper kept us laughing between innings. seats were great and we really enjoyed the food.

As a single Mom to a very active 4 year old, I always look for ways for my son and I to do fun things together that he will really enjoy! He had so much fun watching the game, playing on the blow ups and the fireworks were just over the top! He talked about it for days and asks constantly if we can come back next year to see the fireworks! We have been to many Gwinnett Braves games, but this one made our Fourth very memorable!

It was a rainy night for baseball, but the G-Braves did a good job keeping fans updated on conditions and likely start time. Food a bit pricey for minor league baseball - I recommend against the fries but the rest of the food was pretty good

July 4th with the Gwinnett Braves was excellent ~ great venue, good baseball, several blow up jumpers for the kids to play on/in (with ticket purchase), great treats and eats, and of course a great firework show!! Our team didn't win this one, but the firework show well made up for it ;) Best firework show I've seen yet!!! Would do it again!!!

It was fun as usual but we had to evacuate before the game was over and could not find out why. My youth always enjoy going because they feel safe and can go to get food and restroom without an adult.

It was a great game! AAA games are always fun, but this was a really good game. The last out at the game was at the plate! The park was clean, as usual, the food good and prices reasonable (especially for a ball game.) the family had a great time, and we had four foul balls come our way. I just missed catching one. Darn it being normal height!

Parking is ample & $5 is a good price. We got free beach towels for being a bit early. The food is adequate but pricey. Section 119 is one of the best & cheapest seats. Almost all of the scoring was in the first. The rain held off until the bottom of the ninth & thankfully since it was raining the Braves didn't tie it up.
