Graham Nash has again proven his genius with the new songs introduced to us at the concert we attended at the City National Grove of Anaheim this last week. His bare foot, open hearted storytelling added so much to the evening that was already made comfortable by the intimacy of the venue. His frankness and humor as well as his passion for addressing world problems was just what we expected from this great musical genius. Would love to see him again.....

Always looking for small venue concerts and this was well worth the long drive. Graham Nash is amazing! Liked the new stuff mixed with the old songs. Graham, Shane, and James singing Blackbird was a unexpected and special end to the night.

I knew Graham Nash would put on a good show but what I saw and heard was well beyond my expectations. His voice still shines with the same youthful luster it always has and he seems to have lost none of his amazing upper range. His high harmonies have always been what makes CSN's vocals sparkle so brightly. The two musicians playing with him, James Raymond(David Crosby's son) on keyboards and Shane Fontayne on guitar, not only supplied wonderful scaled down arrangements of all the songs but were able to provide excellent backing vocals, allowing Nash to recreate the CSN songs that he wrote with all the familiar harmonies. Nash played guitar and piano throughout the night. The relatively small venue and the stripped down arrangements were extremely well suited to Nash's very personal and enchanting songwriting. The stories behind the conception of many of his songs are well know to his fans, but hearing the details from Nash himself, which he often supplied before starting a song, added a greater level of intimacy and fun to the evening. His set list was a perfect overview of an incredible 50 year career. He took us as far back as the Hollies' "Bus Stop" and forward with two brand new songs, "Golden Days", and "Back Home". The latter, being a tribute to the recently passed Levon Helm, incorporated a chorus of the Band's "The Weight". Throughout the set, Nash's solo albums, his work with Crosby and with CSN(and sometimes Y) were all represented. An excellent performance by an artist who still embodies all the optimism, hope and joy at the heart of his music.

Despite sounding fantastic in his concert, Graham Nash's show was only about an hour and 20 minutes....way too short for the commute and ticket price, and starting time was missed by about 15-20 minutes. His band was great, but the harmony sounded kind of off at times, perhaps because no one can replace the original singers of the songs (Crosby and Stills.) Congenial and friendly, often joking with the audience about age, overall, not a bad way to spend the evening.

I've always enjoyed the music of CSNY, CSN, CN, and each of the individual artists. I've seen Crosby, Stills and Young each solo. This is the first time Iv'e seen Nash solo, and wow! Graham was just amazing and impressive. His voice was strong and has not lost anything over the years! The show included a great mix of refreshing, energetic, new songs, with some classics; that continue to highlight Graham's dedication. He is committed to informing listeners about world events and is passionate in trying to make the world a nicer, peaceful, place. Graham is a personable, friendly, a gentle man with a positive attitude, and great role model to those in society that take the time to listen. He continues to teach our children well...

I think he's amazing! I loved him with the other three guys first, then discovered more appreciation for his beautiful insight, lyrics, writing style and music ever since I bought Graham Nash's "Simple Man" album, in the ninth grade of high school (early 70's). I love his witty sense of humor, his passion for life & love. I agree with his political views and his courage to use his platform for sharing his insight, and opinions with all of us.

I have seen Graham Nash dozens and dozens of times in all the various CSNY combinations since 1970, and always have high expectations for a great show. However, I still was not prepared for the gift he gave the audience at the Wilbur Theatre on Sept. 18th. He, James Raymond, and Shane Fontayne, were utterly, unbelievably fantastic. GN dug deep into his catalog ("Marguerita", "Lady Of The Island"), played the hits, and offered some surprises, like" Ohio"! At almost 72, he exuded youthful energy, told wonderful stories of how and why his songs were written, and, as always, sounded great. What a marvelous singer he is, and always has been. Seeing this show reminded me of something of which I've been aware for almost 50 years: I am very glad that I am a fan! And now I get to read his autobiography!

Graham will always be the sophisticated member of CSN&Y in my mind. He is the George Harrison of this super-group, and I appreciated the new and the old of his catalog. His stories, anecdotes, and memories were funny, insightful and endearing. He is a class act.

Mr. Nash has maintained his passion, not only for the 60's but also for the music. He is that rare individual who has not treated the 60's and the peace and justice movement as just a fashion trrend but a commitment to justice and peace. It is also obvious that he has kept himself in very good physical shape. His voice is still clear and reasonant. The same cannot be said for many of his comtemporaries, see Stills' drunken stupor of a life. An incredible treat and a reminder of how things once were. A sincere thank you.

I can only think of one thing that bothered me about the show. No make that two things - the bass player and drummer. There were none. And, no, a keyboard is not a substitute. That is especially true of the rocking songs. Otherwise though, great show. It was an honor to be able to be in the audience.

I loved every minute of the concert. Graham played a great mix of CS&N (and CSN&Y) songs, his older songs, and new songs that we'd never heard before. Some were accompanied by great stories. One complaint... He announced that there would be a download of this concert available for purchase, but he didn't mention how to go about getting it. Maybe this is something common now, but I hadn't been to a concert in years and wasn't familiar with it. I was looking all over the next morning to find a way to download it - and finally discovered that I was supposed to buy a download card at the venue before I left. I've now been trying for days to find a way to contact "his people" to see whether I can obtain one after the fact, but no luck.

I have also seen CSNY and Neil Young and was not sure about Graham alone, although he was always one of my fav's! I was amazed at his voice, the musicians that played and sang with him, and at the overall professional and wonderfully intimate setting that the Birchmere gave him. Graham's voice is still great, and sounds much more distinctive and personal in a smaller setting than in the big arenas. He had two excellent musicians with him on guitar and keyboard, and the three of them put together a very rich backing sound, including 3 part harmony. The whole thing was quite mesmerizing and was a top notch professional show. He obviously wants to give you your money's worth. He mostly played solo and newer material with , which was fine - everything sounded wonderful. There were a couple of the csny songs in there, the hits that he wrote. A little bit of politics spilled into the songs, but that's certainly to be expected and wasn't excessive. Go see him, he's great on his own in the smaller setting. An amazing contrast to the Steve Stills show I saw a couple years ago, which was a total mess and 1/2 the audience walked out.

Graham sounded as smooth as ever (love his voice) and was as feisty and politically conscious as ever. Had a lot of good new material and did most, but not all of the best oldies in grand style. Had 2 excellent musicians accompanying him too. Such great sound and occasional harmony coming from just 3 people!

Although he played a lot of new or less well known.songs, Graham was fun being around. Great voice, stories. Wish he could have released & left signed cys of his book for purchase @ Birchmere store. Also wished he played Carrie Ann & Bus stop from Hollies but what he played was very good & wonderful to hear. The crowd was very familiar w his works & kept asking for Winchester Cathedral (he played). He sounds & looks the best of CSNY.

Graham Nash performed for close to three hours. He still has his voice and he still has his passion. The artists that backed him up were very good. The lead guitarist (Shane Fontayne) was spectacular. Graham Nash play a lot of new songs. It would have been much better if he played more of his old songs from C,S, & N (& Y). He played no songs from his Hollies days. The few songs that he did play from his past were excellent. This was no Garden Party for Graham Nash or his fans.

The best part of this was the music, but almost as good as the music, was Nash's humbleness, his way of telling the short story about how the song came to be right before performing it. He was having a good time and he made sure we all had a good time and that we felt appreciated for making the choice to come spend an evening with him. Loved hearing about his younger days, what inspired him to write songs ... and the few Beatles songs he sang. It was a very special evening with him.

Graham Nash, accompanied by Shane Fontayne, raised their voices and filled the Ocean City Music Pier. It was fabulous. Listening, the sound was full, tight, and I couldn't imagine it was produced by 2 guys singing harmonies and playing guitars. Nash played a variety of acoustics, one the was open tuned, and on some songs the keyboard. Shane played mostly electric with a mandolin thrown in for a song. Graham shared stories, told some jokes, and made political statements, as one would expect from him. There was no light show, loud backing band, or any other trappings of a rock show. Nash strolled onto the stage unannounced, with the house lights still up, at just past seven. The Music Pier is out over the ocean and Graham implored OCNJ not to ever turn it into a 7-11. He was corrected immediately by the crowd chanting "Wawa", which he acknowledged. He played for about 2 hrs. with one short 20 minute break. Gave the audience a chance to peruse the t-shirts and other things for sale as well as get a breath of ocean air. I have to tell you, it was a wonderful magical night.

Graham Nash is one of our generation's greatest song writers. To see him perform such classics as "Our House" and "Chicago" and "Immigration Man" and "Bus Stop" and on and on . . . what an amazing experience. Shane Fontayne is extraordinarily talented on guitar, is amazingly humble, and a joy to listen to as he supports and compliments Graham. Next time -- we might even hear "On a Carousel"!??!

I've seen Graham twice in the past year at Parker Playhouse and both shows were excellent. Graham and Shayne Fontayne have written a bunch of news songs (he said 20 or so in the space of a month) for his new record, and his playing more of those are largely what distinguished this show from the previous one. I detected no falloff, lyrically and melodically, in the quality of the new stuff, which was impressive. Graham was his usual self, telling the stories behind the songs and playing guitar and piano. He flubbed a couple of lyrics, but with a sense of humor that was endearing. Hey, the guy's 73! Shayne is an excellent guitarist and the perfect accompanist for Nash. He can play virtually any style and his electric work in particular adds great texture and color to Graham's songs. You'd never know there were just two people on stage. Highly recommended, especially if you can see him in a fairly intimate venue like this one.

Graham's voice is as crisp and melodious as it was 40+ years ago, and along with his guitar player, Shane Fontayne, they wowed the crowd for two hours. Graham's storytelling both with his introductions to the songs and the songs themselves was awesome. Shayne's guitar work was nothing less than amazing, especially his whale song imitation on "To The Last Whale" where he had added magical David Gilmour-like feel to the background. I can't wait for their new album next spring!

The bottom line really is "Would you go see this artist again ?". For Graham Nash the answer is absolutely yes. His voice is in fine form, the musicianship was excellent, and not a blemish during the entire evening. Kind of an extra bonus was the guitarist Shane Fontaine. Entertainers should have learned by now that a concert is not an appropriate time to express their political views! I enjoyed Nash's music, but I have no interest in his political opinions. We saw Graham Nash at the Lyric Theater in Birmingham on Sunday night. What a fantastic show. He is playing with two other musicians who are really fantastic. His voice is so strong and amazing and the number of great songs he has written really impressive. He spoke to the audience between songs and told the stories of how he wrote them. The venue itself is so small and intimate that it lent itself to this show. It was like we were at a private concert.I would highly recommend this show to everyone. There were so many highlights I hesitate to mention one but "Wind on the Water" sent shivers up my spine. He did every great song he has written including a few surprises. His staff was extremely nice at entry and they seemed like a little traveling family. One of the best shows I have seen and I am so glad he would swing through Birmingham on his tour. We got to meet him at intermission which was a real kick for me and my teenage kids. Graham's guitar player, Shane Fontayne, came out after the show and spoke to my son who is an aspiring guitarist. Shane Fontayne is one of the most amazing guitar players I have ever seen and I have seen them all. Every note he played complimented Graham's soaring vocals. Don't miss Graham and his band if they come anywhere near your home.

My wife and I made our first trip to Silver Creek Event Center. Picking a seat location is always tough the first time around, and not wanting to sit at floor level, I selected the first row up from the floor. This put us at the back of the room. Silver Creek only gets my 4 star rating in the sense that's it's a multi-use room. The atmosphere is a bit bland....you need to hold a good sized banquet with a presentation stage, this is the place. Graham, accompanied by Shane Fontayne, hasn't lost any of his voice, and still delivers a sense of love and peace. And story telling between numbers made the performance seem personal. The sound system was perfect. Camera work was well done too. Maybe seats up front would have been a better view, but this concert was 5 star without question.

My wife and I went to the meet and greet. Graham was very pleasant to meet and he took photos with those who wanted to. The show was everything that I hoped it would be and much more. I loved intimate setting and the repartee that Graham had with the audience. Shane Fontaine the guitarist was fantastic. My wife and loved this show!

Graham and his fellow musician filled the room with the sounds of the 60's and 70's and some later music. His partner in music, whose name I forget, played guitar like Stills and Young, and sang the harmonies like Crosby. He was the perfect addition. Just the two of them wowed the crowd. Unfortunately, a great show but too short, about an hour. Likely typical in such a setting but for a fan like me, not enough.

This was a great show. Graham is a master musician and story teller. The venue in the casino was a bit smoky, but the theater was comfortable, clean and smoke free. We loved Graham s sense of humor and his interactions with the audience. Iconic musicians like him clearly outshine the new-comers.

Graham Nash still has it. The icon from the 60's & 70's is still busy writing and performing. I was happy to have the opportunity to see him at the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Mich. What an incredible catalog of songs he can choose from!

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of hearing Graham perform with Shane Fontayne on 9/24 at Bethel Woods. His voice was as good as ever. He introduced each of his songs with an interesting and introspective anecdote. Graham did not just "sing" the song--he put his heart into each and every tune. Shane was great at accompanying Graham and he knew when to step forward and play some outstanding solos. One of the highlights of the evening was their rendition of "A Day in the Life". This tour is a "must see".

The crowd was spellbound with the unbelievable energy which never stopped for a minute. If you missed this one, I urge you to catch up with Nash, you won't be disappointed.

What an excellent evening. Graham Nash took us on an historic trip from the 1960s to 2017. He started with some of the Hollies catalog and went through his solo work and his work with his partners. With just the accompaniment of a single guitar, the music was magic. His guitarist, Shayne Fontaine filled the Bijou with sound. Nash had a tremendous rapport with the audience. He regaled the crowd with the stories behind the music. He played a number of the songs that made him famous. "Immigration Man" and "Military Madness" were particularly noteworthy as was "Chicago". After playing a few new songs, Nash returned to the classics drawing the crowd to join him with "Our House" and finishing with "Teach Your Children." Before Teach Your Children, Nash and Fontaine warmed up with a goose bump inducing version of "Blackbird" in front of a stunned silent crowd. Brilliant. See it and thank me later.

My wife and I love CSN and were excited to attend the concert. Everything was great until he decided to share his political views. Sorry, we went to the concert to get away from the craziness of the world and especially the day in day out politics. It doesn't matter whether his politics is left or right, this was not the place to air his views. I didn't pay for a political lecture!

I've always thought that Graham Nash was the spiritual glue that held CSNY together. That spirit was evident in the way that he pulled the audience in and closed a very important circle. Great music from a great time. The venue (Bijou) is perfect for these types of experiences. This was memorable. I hope he continues with his musical message for many more years. Made ME feel young again.

Graham Nash is that quintessential artist who everyone should get to see and hear. This show is one of his best, his voice is better than ever, and we all got to spend time with one of the greatest living artists. He played from the Hollies, CSN, CSNY, songs that aren't recorded, and his latest awesome work. It was the most enjoyable, intimate evening I have had in a concert hall in a very long time. We are reminded in his music what a difference a song can make.

We attend many concerts and Graham Nash performance was excellent. He made a very personal connection with the audience and his performance was wonderful. His stories regarding the source of the music were very entertaining but most of all, his performance seemed so in touch with the world today and in touch with the people. He has not lost any voice quality and his connection with his accompanying musician was perfect. Would go see him again without a doubt. Relaxing, entertaining and thought provoking performance and took me back many years. Thank you Graham!!

Graham is still at the top of his game! He and Shane Fontayne put on a great show. Nice combination of new compositions and older tunes. Graham included a lot from his "Songs for Beginners" album. He seemed very relaxed and more open than any of the other 8-10 times I have seen him. Enjoyed hearing his anecdotes, including his homage to Paul McCartney. The standard CS&N songs were ageless; harmony hasn't been affected by the years. Loved some of their experiments with other artists. With all respect to Sir Paul, "Black Bird" has to be the most beautiful arrangement I have ever heard. After the last encore, Shane meandered out to the stage and mingled with some of the fans. It was a thrill to meet him and compliment him on a memorable evening.

The story's behind the songs made them that much more incredible. Great performance to take my Dad too and we both really enjoyed the entire show. Lucked out on getting second row pit seats at the Lexington Opera House long after tickets had gone on sale I think because some VIP tickets had been released to regular price.

This concert exceeded all expectations! Having been a CSN(Y) fan for many years and having seen CSN a couple of years ago in a nearby city, I knew this would be a good concert, but I did not expect to come away thinking that Graham Nash without Crosby and Stills would be the better of the concerts. His storytelling of the songs and their inspiration helps you better appreciate how great of a storyteller he is through his songs. I enjoyed this concert so much that I have tried to figure out how I might travel to see it again. Shane was equally entertaining and together they packed some mighty fine vocals and instrumentals. If you get the opportunity to see them together, take it!

This was an evening that felt like a visit with an old friend. Nash was on his game. His voice seemed unchanged and his songs sounded as good as when I heard them 50 years ago for the first time. The evening brought about smiles, laughter and an occaisional tear when wondering where the time has gone. His guitarist, Shane was equally stellar. If they are close by, Go see them. If you are of a certain age, you won't be sorry. It was a sing-a-long that shouldn't be missed.

BRAVO! Graham Nash gave an excellent performance tonight! He opened with a Hollies hit song, "Bus Stop", which engaged the mostly over-40/over-50 audience immediately. Graham sang mostly songs from his CSNY days but also a couple of new songs and Beatles tunes. His electric guitarist & vocalist, Shane Fontayne, accompanied him vocally which made for beautiful harmonies and awesome guitar jams. His musical talent added so much to the concert. Graham Nash was very personable as he introduced his songs with stories and also invited the audience to sing along on some old favorites like 'Our House". His encore songs were "Blackbird" and "Teach Your Children". I highly recommend this show! There's a Knoxville, TN tour date in September & I'm SO tempted to buy a ticket to experience Graham Nash & Shane Fontayne in concert again!

Graham did not look his age and his talent is undiminished. Our experience was fantastic and to have him play in a quaint seaside resort just minutes from our home was excellent. Brought back many memories. Shane Fontain is an excellent musician as well. Very good duo.
