Would have been nice if we could have taken coolers into the venue. Not sure why because there wasn't hardly anyone there. I blame that on lack of advertising. I only knew about it two days before the show thanks to an email from Chastain Park. You could tell that the bands were disappointed to playing to such a small crowd when they once played to thousands back in the day. Eve 6 only played a few songs. Uncle Kracker was surprisingly really good. He probably played the longest set. Sugar Ray was awesome. Mark McGrath is quite the showman. He acted like it was a sold out show. The highlight for me was Better Than Ezra which to my disappointment was lacking. You could tell they didn't like that there weren't that many people there. I thought their performance was lack luster compared to the others before them. They just didn't seem to put forth a lot of effort. Definitely different from when I saw them in their hayday at Music Midtown.

I must admit that I missed the first act due to arriving late. As I entered the venue, much to my surprise there was no music playing. I assumed that they were between bands doing setup. As it turned out they were having some pretty serious systems issues. They had no power to the speakers on stage and all was silent. Diligently, they fixed the issues and the show started back up. Uncle Kracker came on next. They were very good and would give them a big "Two Thumbs UP" on stage presence and performance. Next was Better than Ezra. They, by far, were the most entertaining overall. They're interaction with the crowd and musicality were upbeat and very good. Last, the lead band, Sugar Ray.... they're expressed appreciation for the crowd and opportunity to be touring was endearing and often unusual these days. The music was good, but not vocally great. The biggest bummer was the "hard stop" required downtown due to sound ordinances. Because of that, I think the Headliner only played a half dozen songs or so. It was quite short and sweet in the end for Sugar Ray. All in all.......a good show, but not stellar!

Obviously Sugar Ray stole the show, by far, but all the bands that were there were awesome! The Paramount is one of my favorite venues to go see a show, and this is my 2nd time seeing this tour there. I will definitely go again next year!

Sugar Ray started off the night strong and put on the greatest performance. It was a small venue and it was their third day in a row playing but it still felt like the first time for all of us in the crowd. Uncle Kracker came up next. The main singer was the last on stage and the first to leave. He didn't seem happy to be there but he still put on a good set. Smash Mouth killed! They were amazing and got everyone in the crowd singing along. Blues Traveler finished up the night strong even though someone in the band was sick. Overall a great night and my girlfriend's first concert. A great introduction for anyone's first show. A big sing along and a great time. These bands meant a lot to my childhood and its amazing having this single culminating event to remember them all by. A concert I'll truly cherish forever.

If you've ever wondered what it would be like to see many of your favorite '90s bands in one concert, this is the tour you need to make time for. The 2013 tour brought SmashMouth, Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, Vertical Horizon & Fastball together and the shows were magical. All the hits you know and loved and all in one venue! You just can't beat it!

I was VERY excited when I bought my ticket. I attended Under the Sun in 2013 with Fastball, Vertical Horizon, Gin Blossoms...ect. I feel the bands this year were not up to par with previous acts, however, were still great bands in their own right. First up, was Eve 6. The singer seemed drunk and off...forgetting lyrics, and their set list left our a couple of staples I expected to hear from them. He changed the way he sang "Here's to the Night" and for a nostalgia tour, it was difficult to sing along and enjoy when the song was different. Better Than Ezra were the best of the night, VERY entertaining, and funny at the same time. Sugar Ray was great, playing all the hits as usual. The biggest mistake of the night was having Uncle Kracker play last. Half the auditorium filed out, and he was wasted. Messy bed head, VERY country-esque...we left early. Overall, a good show but bad band order.

In performance order; Eve 6 was good, even though I only knew one of their songs, they still brought their game. They were even taking pictures with people after the show in the Rocksino. Better the Ezra, much better then expected. They owned the show, even playing songs from local artists, they know how to rock! Sugar Ray, the most grateful artist I've ever seen. Very appreciative of his fans and sweated his ass off performing! Total 90's flashback with all his hits. Uncle Kracker, Looking like we were going to need the EMS to revive him from a heart attack. The guy sang his songs in a very lethargic way, like he didn't want to be there. Never acknowledged there was even an audience he was singing to. And then he left the stage before the band was done playing. His band IS better then UK.

Under the sun concert was a great show. Mark from Sugar Ray always gets great variety 90s bands each year to tour with him. Uncle Kracker was train wreck and should of not been closer for the show. That is only complaint of the show was uncle kracker. Other bands were awesome. I am excited to see which bands Mark will choose for next year tour.

My first time going to the Emerald Queen Casino. Easy parking and shuttle, traffic was not typical big show headache so that was nice. I really only wanted to see Better Than Ezra and had never even heard of the other three bands. Never having seen BTE live, I was very excited at the opportunity. I figured they would be the headliner but that was not so. Order of the bands was never published and I only found out when I got to the casino - I could have come an hour later, so that was a bummer. Then BTE only played for 35 minutes, tops. Never before have I encountered such a short set unless the band was an opener and clearly that was not the case here. Worst value for ticket price I've ever paid. Would not see this concert again, nor one like it.

Went to this concert last year and this year- would go every year they do it. It's perfect because each band plays 4-5 familiar hits that bring you back to the 90s. There are four acts. Fun and keeps moving. Great night. Mark McGrath is an amazing performer and knows how to work a crowd. Hope the acts other than Sugar Ray continue to rotate (understanding that McGrath puts the show on and he's with Sugar Ray). Last year was Gin Blossoms and Blues Traveller. This year Eve 6 and Better than Ezra. Uncle Kracker returned. He needs to go and rotate the three for good variety and keeping it fresh every year. The Emerald Queen is an awful venue. Hopefully this is back at Tulalip next year (as it was last year).

the event started before advertised. I would not recommend "The Beach as a venue. This is the second event I have been to there that has not been as advertised. We almost missed the entire set of Eve 6 because they were on very early. Better than ezra is absolutely horrible. the better part of the show was Ezra and they mostly talked and then played other peoples songs.

- I got there late, so I missed the first 2 acts (Better Than Ezra & Eve 6). - There was about 15-20 min of downtime between each act. - Each act performed for about 30-45 min. (I also attended Under the Sun 2 years ago). - I loved Sugar Ray! He's the only reason I went to Under the Sun. - I wish Sugar Ray headlined a 1+ hour concert. - Mark McGrath is an awesome performer - very energetic, dances around, fun to watch. Except he kinda killed the energy when he started talking about his kids. - Uncle Kracker was the last act. - I read a tweet that said the Under the Sun acts are rotated every year. (Two years ago Sugar Ray was the last act. This year Sugar Ray was the 3rd act) - Sugar Ray threw beach balls into the audience. - Both Sugar Ray & Uncle Kracker threw used guitar picks into the audience. - Mandalay Beach is a great location, except for the parking. It's impossible to find parking at Mandalay & at Luxor, which is next door. I had to park at Excalibur & even then, I barely found a spot. At least parking on the strip is free. - I didn't go to Under the Sun last year because it was at the Golden Nugget. I hate downtown casinos because they charge for parking. And I don't like standing-only concert venues where you feel like packed sardines & everyone's pushing you. At least at Mandalay Beach, there's lots of room & you can sit on the sand. - Mandalay Beach is outdoors, so depending on the weather, that can be a good or bad thing. 2 years ago, it was 100 degrees. This year, it was 85 degrees.

What an amazing concert. I was excited about the line up to start but was absolutely bedazzled by the bands, even after all these years! Uncle Kracker was just "ok" in my book, but after seeing them on stage I have a much new appreciation and really enjoyed the talent and music they provided. Sugar Ray I knew would be great, but McGrath outdid himself and the band was excellent and they could not have been more enjoyable. I just can't say enough how awesome they were. The surprise came with Smashmouth...I've always hummed along and liked a song or two, but WOW! On stage they were excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed EVERYTHING they performed. I actually mostly went to see Blues Traveler but have to admit that after 3 hours straight of dancing to amazing and fun music and the late start for the final band, I was dead tired and not as thrilled on them as I had hoped. I really love their music, listen to their songs over and over, and am enchanted with how he can play the harmonica and sing, but I'm not much into long rifs and was just a bit let down on the stage appearance - although admittedly it was past my bedtime and once I stopped dancing I was spent and ready to go. I think with a line up of 4 bands, they might have started the whole thing earlier and it was a weekday...or perhaps had Blues go earlier in the line up because I do love their music, but Sugar Ray and Smashmouth brought down the house in my opinion. Overall, what a thrill of an event especially at Vina Robles Amphitheater! It was well worth our over 2-hour drive to see this show at this particular venue and I still smile thinking back on the great memory!

We attended the Under the Sun Tour at the Vina Robles Amphitheater in Paso Robles, CA. First, the venue was excellent. The seating was good, the staff helpful, and security abundant, but unobtrusive. The acts included: Uncle Kracker, Sugar Ray, Smash Mouth, and Blues Traveler. We most enjoyed Sugar Ray as they have a very crowd interactive performance. They played many of their hit songs, and were animated throughout their one hour performance. Uncle Kracker started the show and did a good job getting the crowd into the concert. He too played a number of his best songs. The only negative was that when Smash Mouth played, the instrumentals overwhelmed the singer. It may have been a problem with their sound equipment or that their technicians did not make appropriate adjustments. Other than that, it was a great event and a very desirable, and in this case, affordable venue.

From Uncle Kracker to Blues Traveler the energy built as the night went on. Appreciated Sugar Ray more once we experienced his great performance. Excellent venue to see a concert. My only complaint was with the sound mixing. The mids and highs were hard to hear. The base, especially during Smash Mouth's and Blues Traveler drowned out everything else. I needed even had to fashion ear plugs to keep my ears from hurting. I was hoping to hear guitar work and was disappointed that I couldn't make them out through the excessive bass.

Enjoyed Sugar Ray's set and thought Smash Mouth really delivered. However, Blues Traveler, after a fairly short set simply finished a song and walked off stage. No goodbye, no thank you, nothing. Under the Sun Tour with Sugar Ray, Smash Mouth and Blues Traveler. Sugar Ray engaged the audience, got everybody rocking, and was all around great. Smash Mouth and Blues Traveler's acoustics were bad, seemed to be off, very tinny. Smash Mouth or Blues Travelers didn't engage the audience, just came out, performed and left. Blues Traveler was last and we didn't even know the show was over, they did their last song and stopped playing and stood there while we politely clapped, then the house lights came on and everyone around us goes- that's it?? No finale, nothing. They still stood there while everyone walked out. Would NOT see this tour again!!

Better Than Ezra was the headliner and played last, and WOW do they have a stage presence! All the bands were great, but BTE was incredible. I've been listening to all these guys for 20+ years and this was the first time I'd seen any of them live. I would do it again next year if they come back. The only down side was the inundation of 16 year old girls that came to see Mark McGrath. Thank God the 21+ area was segregated and we were able to stand with our 30+ year old brethren. :) Wish they played Rosalia though :/

This is the 3rd Under the Sun event that I've attended at LC Pavilion. The weather was excellent. The food was excellent. And Mark McGrath continues to make my knees weak. The only problem with the event happens to be the same problem that was present at the previous two events: The LC does not serve craft beer. Craft beer would well accompany a west-coast styled man like Mark McGrath.

Great show! I think Mark McGrath not only is a great singer, he's an awesome performer!! He engaged the crowd and has such a personality. I liked Uncle Cracker and he sounds just as good in person as he does on the radio. I was most impressed with Smash Mouth because I expected the least from them. I like their music but their drummer Jason Sutter (?) is TREMENDOUSLY TALENTED and i just loved their performance overall! I did not care for Blues Traveler. I think Run Around is okay but most of the songs they performed were not even their songs and he didn't sing much and he didn't even know all the lyrics to ANY of the songs. Had his back to the audience a lot. But he did a very good job on Devil Went Down to Georgia. Overall a great tour and would definitely recommend to anyone.

The sets were a bit short. They could get rid of one of these bands maybe and create longer sets. Uncle Cracker was surprisingly good, Eve 6 sounded pretty good as well as did BTW. Sugar Ray however sounded like an amateur act at best. That was sad for me as they used to put on a great show back in the day. It was out of key and flat. Mark was a great host however.

What a wonderful time my husband and I had at the Under the Sun 2015 tour date in Raleigh, NC. All of the bands were as awesome as we remembered them. It brought back many wonderful memories of the 90's listening to some of our favorite songs from Better than Ezra and Sugar Ray. The night started with Eve 6, who put on a great performance. They were followed by Uncle Kracker, who put on an equally great performance. Our favorite of the night was Better Than Ezra. Wow! Haven't seen them perform since the late 90's in Pensacola, Fl, and they lived up to our expectations. Love those cajun boys. Then there was Sugar Ray. Mark McGrath and the guys finished the night with a wonderful performance of their hits from the 90's. We won't miss this one next year.

Was hoping for an enjoyable show and thought the energy level may be a little reserved since the bands have been around awhile. We absolutely enjoyed every band and had a much greater time than expected. The crowd was energetic and into the show and the bands played at high intensity the whole time. The show was well put together with a very efficient changing of the equipment that only took about 10-15 minutes. My only complaint is I wish the bands would have played a little longer, maybe 1 more song each....Eve 6 only played for 30 minutes. Better than Ezra; very entertaining band and funny. Enjoyed the clip of "I can't Feel my Face" and the parody of "Sarah Smile" as well as allowing women on the stage.

Unfortunately, I couldn't stay through the end when Better than Ezra played, but the other 3 bands all played familiar songs and really had the crowd involved. Eve 6 has always been a favorite band of mine and were so energetic. Sugar Ray pulled out all of the hits that most people would know and really related well to the fans. So much fun!

Every band was great! My favorite was Better Than Ezra. I love the showmanship of the lead singer. Second favorite was Uncle Cracker. Really, every one did a great job though. I'm so glad we went and wouldn't change a thing.

As with most concerts where there are multiple performers you are usually there to see 1 band. There was not information online regarding order of performance. I went to go see EVE6. I could not arrive till 7:30 and unfortunately they opened. I go to see 1 1/2 songs. TOTALLY ANGRY! The artists have to play longer sets and there should be information posted on order of performance. I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT TICKETS if I knew I was going to miss their performance. Disappointed.

I was very impressed... you never know how these nostalgia shows will. All of the bands sounded amazing live! No uncomfortable voice cracks or poor guitar playing. Mark's mic wasn't working for the first Sugar Ray song. He was very apologetic and funny about it. The show runs like clockwork so don't arrive late! We ended up missing most of the Eve 6 set because we were so used to everything started 30 minutes late. NOT SO HERE! It is a well oiled machine.

I had been to a few concerts inside Stage AE, but this was the first one outside. The venue was very good, lots of room no bad seats. The bands themselves were very good brought back some memories growing up and was kid friendly because we took our kids. Would definitely go see it again.

The venue (Lifestyles Pavillion )and weather were great but the same cant be said for most of the show. Uncle Kracker and Sugar Ray were not very good at all. Eve 6 is still very much into playing live music and Better Tah Ezra was head and shoulders above all of them. The tour should drop one of the groups and have BTE close the show with at least an hour set.

Mark Magrath put on a fabulous show! He brings in bands that appreciate the venue and clearly have a great time. I will buy tickets every year they come back!
