This show was fantastic. Liz knows what her best work is, and she brought us a rock show. I love all of her music, but so appreciated that she stepped it up and made every song a little louder and a little more wicked. She brought two guitarists and a drummer and they pounded it out. Awesome.

Talented and energetic Rosario thrilled her loyal audience with a blend of rock, pop, blues and of course flamenco based tunes which served as a platform for her relentless, engaging and grateful stage presence. The venue is delightful and was flexible enough to provide a beautiful frame to the performer's many different styles.

This would have been a great unplugged show. The sound often overwhelmed and drowned out the singers. Best of the show was encore, which was without drums, base, electronics.

Of course the bands were great but every time I go to the House of Blues I like it less. I have no complaints about the music, even the opening bands impressed me.

I grew up listening to Willie and Lobo. My dad, sister, and I listened to them all of the time and saw them quite a few times over the years. For my Dad's birthday, my sister and I wanted to bring him to a concert of some type and were so excited when we saw that Willie and Lobo were finally coming to town. These two are such exceptional musicians and have a charisma that make the entire experience so much fun. Lobo's guitar skills are so insane! You barely see his hand move while he's playing. Plus he has such a sweet demeanor. Willie's immersion in the music while he plays is really fun to watch. He moves his body in ways that is like watching the music pouring out of him. There are times when he hums or semi-sings with the music and harmonizes with his fiddle-it's pretty spectacular. Watching them play is a delight and I hope they come around to Arizona again soon.

Zap Mama is a physical experience for me, so my descriptions with words aren't everything. I was introduced to her by my boyfriend about 14 years ago and the music resonated. It was like traveling to somewhere beautiful for the first time or enjoying a new food flavor. There was a song for every mood I ever experienced and songs that provoked new feelings or new levels to my emotions. It motivated and afflated and satisfied through the screens and speakers, so I had to experience it live. She had the whole crowd synchronously breathing. When something leaves you wanting more, it's good and bad at the same damn time. To put it lightly...I'm a fan. I gave four stars only because it felt too short, but that might've just been me. If I were there earlier to mingle to a DJ set or if I were able to get to meet Marie Daulne; I might've felt like I got a complete experience and not left wanting more.

One of my favorite artists gave one of my all time best shows. I've been waiting a long time to see PK with a full band again, and it was well worth the wait. We are lucky to have him tour the US with such a talented group and play such intimate venues. The Aussies may be a bit jealous.
