University of South Carolina Gamecocks Women's Basket

The Gamecocks women’s basketball team is coming off their best season in school history after winning the 2017 NCAA National Championship, their first in schools history. Head Coach, Dawn Staley, has built a perennial powerhouse, making one South Carolina one of the elite teams in women’s college basketball year after year. Colonial Life Arena has been home to the Gamecocks basketball program since 2002. With a seating capacity of 18,000, it is one of the largest college basketball venues in the country.

They had a game plan and they stuck to it. They email the parking plan the day before so there was no mystery when you got to the stadium. In the stadium was arraigned so where ever you had to go, you could find it with no problem. The seats were arraigned so you had unobstructed view of the action on the court.

Took my 6 year old daughter to see the Ladfy Gamecocks play against the Florida Gators. She had a a great time watching the game, eating cotton candy, popcorn, hotdogs, and drinking Cherry Coke. Oh yeah and the Gamecocks won!!!!

Great game. Columbia is a great ciy, campus was very nice. Auditorium was first rate. Easy parking, much easier to attend than the mens game. A great game to attend, cheap! Bring your daughter to see some good female role models.

This was our first time attending a USC Women's Basketball game. We are huge fans and the game did not disappoint. The atmosphere was very lively, entertaining and fun. And the women played well and won. The traffic in flowed well, the check in process flowed well and the traffic leaving flowed well. We have no complaints and can not wait until the next game! Go Lady Gamecocks. It was amazing seeing Dawn in person she is an absolute professional and I love those coaching faces.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the Carolina vs Clemson game. We are huge Gamecock fans but rarely get to attend games. Seeing this awesome team beat Clemson was just icing on the cake!!! The only not so good experience was that our tickets were general admission and there was no identification of where we could not sit. We arrived early and sat in what we thought were general admit seats but was told later we had to move. By this time all of the good general admit seats were gone. Also, folks that bought tickets the evening of, were assigned seats in the general admit section causing others that arrived early to give up their seats!!! That was not cool. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. The Gamecoks made up for it all and then some!!!

Great afternoon! Watching the lady Gamecocks at home was a great way to spend a weekend afternoon. The ticket prices were very family friendly, the arena and parking were easy to get to, the concessions were reasonable and the facility was very clean. We'll be back!

The stadium was clean, the folks were polite and very informative. The intro was beast! The ladies played well. Sweet passes, sweet 3's, lots of shake and bake, hard fouls, some major picks, audible game talking back and forth! Not as intense a thriller like the A&M game, but it was still very good. Like always the ladies tend to play a bit more physical.

This was my first visit to Colonial Life Arena and I was very impressed! I thought the arena was very nice and I also was lucky enough to catch a double header that day with the Men's Basketball team against Tennessee. The game between Texas A & M and South Carolina was a great game. The seats were terrific because it was general admission. It was great to pick your seat and I was fortunate to sit by nice people, including a parent of one of the players for USC. I will definitely attend another game again!!!

Watching Dawn Staley's Gamecocks is easily the best atmosphere in women's basketball, college or professional. There are 15,000+ at almost every game, and they are always vocal. The area is electric leading up to the game, to the point that the bars and restaurants start filling up at 3:30-4:00, even on workdays. The Colonial Life Arena is perfectly located on the southern edge of the Vista entertainment district, with campus to the East and main traffic arteries to the South and West. There is no better setup for a night of basketball.

It was a great game. Carolina play excellent ball. The worst part was the horrible officiating. I'm a Kentucky fan but Carolina got numerous bad calls and I haven't heard a reason yet for the technical called. Carolina has a great coach and the team work well together. Now if the officiating will get on track that would help.
