Major Lazer

Major Lazer, the EDM/dancehall supergroup created by American DJ and producer Diplo, dropped their highly anticipated second album Free the Universe in March 2013. Diplo calls Major Lazer’s music “digital reggae and dancehall from Mars in the future," and despite minimal radio airtime, the band has built an incredible global following in just a few short years. Upbeat, wild, and raucous, Major Lazer's live concerts are high-octane affairs characterized by dancing, moshing, and an indefatigable amount of stage energy from band members Diplo, Walshy Fire, and Jillionaire. On 2013's Free The Universe tour, the band treated ticket buyers around the world to a futuristic Jamaican beach party, earning praise from fans for their impeccable stage design, state-of-the-art sound, and a light show reminiscent of Pink Floyd-era psychedelia.

I went to MDBP philly and it was amazing! the venue is great, you can stand high up and still see most of the stage. I love all the acts that were there particularly Dillon Francis, Nadastrom, Flosstradamus, and Major Lazer of course. Let me tell ya, Major Lazer sure knows how to throw a party and get keep the crowd going wild. My favorite act was Dillon Francis, his production skills are out of this world. All around a fun time and everyone there was chill/having a great time going crazy to awesome music.

The venue was reasonably small so you always had a great view. Major Lazer is well known for their awesome live shows - Dancers, Diplo and Jillionaire crowd surfing inside of a huge plastic ball, and - of course - LAZERS!

This show was SO DAMN FUN. I would without hesitation pay to see this/them again. Came out with high energy right off the bat and there was not a lull or even "less cool" part of the show. The were giving 100% the entire time, which I appreciated.

I have been going to a lot of shows at the Fox Theater. This one was one of the best if not the best show I have seen there. Diplo and crew kept the place jumpin for 2 hours straight! A lot of crowd interaction. The music was great. I will see him again definitely!

I've previously been to Major Lazer, which was awesome. However, this time the sound quality was really really bad. Too much bass and everything sounded muffled. Fire the "sound engineer"!

Just an amazing time to dance with other people and hear great remixes. In typical fashion Major Lazer took forever to come out, yet it was so worth the wait. My only regret is that my friend and I had to leave early because of the BART's dumb transportation schedule. Also, the Fox was amazing and I'd definitely go again.

Major Lazer was incredible. One giant party. Diplo and Switch had 2000 people jumping non-stop for 2 hours. The mix of music was great. A killer blend of electro, dancehall, a bit of reggae and hip-hop. Atlanta rappers Travis Porter and Wale made a surprise guest appearance in the middle and performed a few songs. Dragonette opened and knocked my socks off as well. The best show I've been to since Steve Aoki. Massively fun!!!

Had an amazing time! It was so packed! One of my favorite things was the Puma photo booth, great way to capture the moment. Also loved the free tshirts. The prices of food and drink were a little high but it's whatever. All of the performers put on great sets, had me jamming the whole time! This was my first time going Mad Decent and I am definitely doing it again!

Over all the nlock party was amazing! I was a little disappointed in Vip tjough. Typically vip allows for discounted venue drinks and food and there was none of the above. It also allows for separate bathrooms which thete were none. The show was an amazing experience and I have not one complaint about the artists performance!

The price was completely reasonable, $35 For such a great lineup. Every act (except Riff Raff cause he's a joke) killed it even the opening acts. The vibe was perfect in the crowd. No matter where u stood in the event you had a good view of the stage. And a hour and a half encore from Major lazer?! EPIC!!!

This was more like a party than a concert, the audience participation made you feel like part of the concert and it was so much fun to let loose with like minded people. I have never sweat so much in my life. If you're looking for non stop fun then this is the perfect concert to attend.

This show could barely be called that. It was an all out party. From he count-down video at the begging of the performance, to the old-school reggae at the end, Major Lazer knows how to work an audience. The show was full of energy the whole time, Everyone there was so excited to be there. A member of Major Lazer even got in a orcb and surfed the growd. The vibe there was great. I am trully glad i got to experiance this amazing show.

I expected a riotous blend of dancehall and electro; after all, that's Major Lazer's sound in an understatement. What made this even more memorable, though, were the lights, video displays, and RIDICULOUS crowd energy! Also, the dubplates and mashups that Diplo, Walshy, and Jillionaire selected were amazing! (Mavado's "Wah Dem Ah Do" b/w Baauer's "Harlem Shake"? Crazy energy!)

Major Lazer totally brought the house down and I got to rage my face off pretty dang hardcore. The people watching the door were a little rude(apathetic girl with big black hair was incredibly rude to everyone I talked to), but once I was in the place it was awesome.

SUCH a good show! Even after the 45 minute encore, I just wanted more! Every member of Major Lazer put their heart into gettin the crowd energized and excited. You could easily tell they all loved what they were doing. Even the dancers looked like they were truly having the time of their lives. I would go to these shows again and again and again!

Major Lazer killed it. Honestly one of the best and most high tempo EDM concerts I've been to. Great overall performance and I loved the energy. I wish I could go to every one of their shows. The venue was equally dope. The Masquerade is a legendary spot in Atlanta and they definitely chose a spot that fits their image. Overall, best night of my life.

This show was completely nuts. Major Lazer puts on an amazing show and they come out swinging from the very start. If you plan on being close to the stage for their shows get ready to dance, jump, and get thrown around in a mix of house, reggae, and complete insanity. Entirely too much fun.

I went and saw Major Lazer at terminal5 in NYC this past saturday night. They put on an amazing show! So much energy! I don't think I've ever danced that hard in my entire life. It was pure chaos - the place was sold out. I loved every second of it. I would love to see them live again sometime soon!

We came to see Major Lazer with my friends, not only we had to wait 3 hours from doors opening with no serious opening band, but we were particularly disappointed to hear that the music they were playing was not what we where used to hear from them. Sounded very much like Skrillex to me... They did not play 'Get Free' which is the song we came for. Not bad music overall, but not what we went for.

Major lazer was amazing, even though they let in more people then they should have. The place was so packed to a point where it kind of hard to breathe. But other than that since the crowd was amazing, people didn't really mind with the exception of some people. Other than that I would've gave it 5 stars if they didn't pack the place to a point where it was hard to breathe and it felt like a gym, since terminal 5 is a pretty big venue.

the first opener and major lazer absolutely killed the show... the second opener dont remember his name however killed not only my mood but my entire group of friends mood. he managed to kill my mood put me back into the mood and killed it again, how is that even possible, the only time he got the crowd hype at all was when he asked everyone if they were ready for major lazer. only reason i didnt rate this show five stars was because of that terrible dj

My second Major Lazer show. Saw them in a smaller club when Skerrit Bwoy was with them. Diplo and his crew went just as harder if not harder this time. I can't recommend this enough. If you want to get hype and jump around, this is the show to see. Amazing amount of energy on the stage. You'll get a nice preview of their new album too. Opening acts (cliff notes: Don't go early) : The first DJ was skilled, but I was looking for a little more energy. Second act was Pictureplane. This guy was embarrassing. He was singing over beats, but you couldn't hear him and when you could, it sounded off key. He didn't use headphones and had two of his songs playing over one another for a good minute.
