Loved the venue. Small, up close experience with performers. Good sound. The Oh Hellos were so talented, fun, engaging live. New fan of both fan and venue. Planning on attending more concerts at the venue.

They were so good and beyond my expectations. Energetic, entertaining with great harmonies from a very tight band! Also the slow acoustic songs were awesome !

This concert was absolutely PHENOMENAL. It was one of those rare shows where you were actually sad to see the openers go, because they were so good (Cereus bright and Family and Friends). The excitement was palpable when the Oh Hello's came on, and they were even better than anticipated. I hadn't listened to their newest album much, but they played a really good blend of old and new.

The combination of The Oh Hellos with opening act Family and Friends was the best pairing. They were both so lively and crazy and fun and made me wanna dance and sing all night. Great show.

They made me dance a lot and cry a little more inside because they sing about how life s tough it tears us apart and we can t leave what we hate but more importantly tell us, as they sing in Dear Wormwood, life s tough so that we can identify our enemy, thereby finding our identity. They point us to our hope, our redemption, with beautiful words and sounds.

Words can barely even cover how amazing The Oh Hellos are as a musical group. They're fun, honest, normal, and humble people that practically teared up at the applause from the audience. They jam to their own songs with the audience which, in my opinion, proves the depth of their music. Their songs never get old and- no matter how many times you've listened to it- you can still jam out AND find so much meaning in each piece. They're a rare style of music that results from them just being themselves... and it's oh so beautiful. Their songs speak to and echo in your soul, and you'll find yourself either crying, dancing, praying, or head banging. I believe that so much music nowadays is too similar and too repetitive, but The Oh Hellos are not. They're unique, they're necessary for our musical climate, and, most of all, they're themselves. If you get a chance, see them live. Always. Always see them live, if you get a chance.

I was hoping for a much better concert. The first band would be better to NOT be seen with. Both bands were very clamorous. The Oh Hellos have some interesting topics. Wormwood would have been a great theme IF anyone would have had even a slight hint as to what it was about, where the Oh Hellos got their ideas, and what the Screwtape Letters even were. A little explanation would have gone a long way. Each and every song had a few soft parts and then a LOT of clamor. At least 4 band members could be let go: the banjo player, a drummer, the electric rhythm, maybe the viola, and the band would improve. Actually the brother and sister alone would most likely have made for a more pleasant night.

The Oh Hellos are great in concert! Tons of energy, super talented musicians, and Maggie and Tyler's voices are just spectacular. Plus, I love their awkardness during transitions. It seems like the band is full of real, fun people, and hearing them play live makes you feel like you're part of that.

The Oh Hellos rocked this show. They had so much energy and the crowd was loving it the whole time. The only thing that tried to ruin the evening was the venue. The Rickshaw is a standing room only venue. While there's nothing wrong with that, adequate ventilation is required when you pack a lot of people indoors together. The heat during the show was stifling and claustrophobic. I was battling off panic attacks after the opening act. Relief finally came when the AC unit kick on, but much to everyone's (Yes, even the band's) disappointment, it shut off after a few songs. My question to the owners of the Rickshaw: WHY?! Why do you force your paying customers to swelter in uncomfortable conditions when you can flip a switch and make everyone happy? Please don't let my frustration with the venue interfere with my take on the band's performance. The Oh Hellos were fantastic, but the owners of the Rickshaw need to get their priorities straight. Go see the Oh Hellos, just not here.

The Oh Hellos were absolutely sublime. I am full and grateful for having listened to them live. This is the type of music that can break a man's heart and make you feel totally alive. One of the best folk bands out there. The raw and visceral manner with which the band performs is truly inspiring, and I left the concert feeling both energetic and completely at peace. It made me want to go out and do something great.

An large band filled with unexpected delights - an accordian, a sci-fi violin virtuoso ssporting an 1800's stache, high energy all the way around and infused with genuine humility. Incredible lyrics to original songs. Foot stomping music followed by soulful reflection.

When The Oh Hellos play music, it's like the sky opens and God Himself smiles upon the earth. Not only are these musicians immensely talented artists, they demonstrate exuberant joy when they perform. You can't help but move and sway and jump for joy along with them. Just as you think you've figured them out- the formula of the song, their method of performance- they surprise you. The venue was perfect- smaller stage, more intimate- and plenty of food truck options. Best concert of my life.

This was by far the best concert I've ever been to (hence the title). The energy The Oh Hellos perform with is incredible and unmatched by any band I've ever seen (and i get around ;). This band is so young and so talented! The average age of the band is only 20 Y/o, and they already sound amazing, so expect great things for the future. This review doesn't even come close to doing this band justice but i hope the following story puts it into perspective. My girlfriend and I missed the NY concert (Friday night) so we traveled down to Washington D.C. We ended up spending 150$ on transportation and it was around 11 hours of total travel time. IT WAS SOOOO WORTH IT!!

Good music and energetic band members. It would have been nice if they focused a llittle more on the vocals as the volume of the instruments often covered the lyrics and vocals.

The Oh Hellos know how to have a good time and they rock way harder than I expected. I will be on the lookout for any shows near me in the future, definitely one of my favorite bands to see live. Wildermiss, the opening act, was a great find as well, I'll be looking for more from them in the future. Neptune is always a great venue as well. Small, but not too small. Every spot is a good one.

Four of us went to the concert on 3/3 at 8 finding a hot place with no seats. OK except the Oh Hellos didn't start until 9:30 and the back up band sounded like nothing I would have paid to see. The only fun part was the riff from Nebraska because someone asked. By 10:15 I was tired of standing and by 10:30 I left. The Oh Hellos were what I expected when they played but if you are going to use a backup use one that sounds something like you and not for 90 minutes.

I highly recommend arriving early and finding a spot on the front of the balcony level! The view from the upper level is great and it is a wonderful guarantee that you can see the stage (as a shorter person this is often a struggle). It seemed there was a little more elbow room on the balcony as well. The Oh Hellos were wonderful and I would absolutely see this band and come to this venue again.

These people bring an unmatched energy to the stage! They sound even better live than on the studio recordings, they transitioned from their regular catalogue to the xmas songs seamlessly. It really does feel like you're in your living room during the holidays, especially when they invite people onstage. I would definitely see them again.

Very much enjoyed the set with their songs and holiday classics. Band delivered energy and spirit. Was a great snowy night in Detroit and sparse crowd really had fun. Love the venues new upstairs room and bar (wow!). Brought four "new" fans to the show to see this band along with my family of three long time fans. They don't disappoint. Hope to see them more in 2017! Ken.

Fantastic is a good word for them. They just get up there and play their extraordinary music with relentless energy. Two members in particular went totally nuts at the end. I'm not sure how they manage to do that. I worry that every member will die from putting out such hard and beautiful work, but I myself do not worry about dying anymore, for I have beheld the Oh Hellos live.

The Oh Hellos' concert was all things true, good, and beautiful. I felt an array of emotions throughout, and it was just too too good for me. The band members themselves are silly and humble and passionate, and the relationship they build with the audience is an incredible experience. I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes the entire show. I seriously considered going to the Cleveland show the next day, but couldn't pull it off. I'll absolutely be seeing them again next time they are even remotely close to my area. It was worth every minute of the six hours on the road.

We are so excited The Oh Hellos FINALLY came to Ohio! We are huge fans and have been waiting to see them in concert since their first album release. All the stars aligned and we were finally able to see them in Columbus. This is a very fun, high energy show (as expected). We were not disapointed in the level of enthusiasm. I love going to see bands that have a whole host of muscians on stage, and this was exactly that. If I had to share any critiques, it would be on their level of engagement with the audience. As fans, part of the reason we (or at least I) go to see a band live, is not only to get a feel for their personalities and vibe as a band, but their philosophy/inspiration behind an album. As a fan of Dear Wormwood (their newest release), an album which seems to me to be about temptation and victory, I wanted to hear the band's connection to their songs. I wanted to hear Tyler and Maggie share. And while Tyler did seem very approachable and shared a couple funny stories, I found myself wishing he had been more vulnerable. Maggie gave us no impression at all, as she was silent for the duration of the show. I'm an introvert, so I get it. But as a frontman (or woman) for a band who is putting out songs people become intimately connected to, I think you have to find a way to engage your fans. Overall, I'm still a HUGE fan and I would go see them again and again. I also realize that they are fairly new to this whole touring gig. I just hope that, the more they play, the more comfortable they get being vulnerable with their audience.

The Oh Hellos bring a certain kind of energy and passion to their music that is very hard to find. They're friendly, funny, and deeply committed to both the music the play and the experience they create for concert-goers. It doesn't hurt that their music is some of the best folk music out there today.
