We sat about 8 rows from the front so we could see JP clearly. He is very personable, thoughtful and considerate to his audience. He only speaks on subjects he knows about inside out and back to front. with anything else he defers to others. I've never been to a theatre before so didn't know what to expect. I was very pleasantly delighted with the whole thing, it was very special to me. I stayed for the Q&A with Mr Rubin who kept things going well. Dr Peterson was great at answering the questions for everyone, in addition to that he stayed behind very late and did not rush us out of the door. He really went over and beyond what was expected and everyone was very happy.

Had never been to a lecture before attending so was not sure what I'd be expecting other than a discussion but was a big fan of Dr. Peterson. The lecture itself was a quality discussion. The content itself covered some of the topics of the book 12 Rules for Life, with more exposition and development but also added depth in the latter half of the lecture. If you are a fan of his lectures or the book itself I would highly recommend attending as Dr. Peterson is a great speaker, often making eye contact with specific members of the audience and speaking with characteristic energy. I also enjoyed the Q/A session at the end of the lecture with Dave Rubin, there was a fair number of questions that they took from the audience as well. I attended the meet and greet portion afterwards where he had spent another 30/45 minutes answering questions. Overall you get the sense that he is as down to earth and well-spoken in person as his 'on-screen' persona. It's clear that all of the developments/attention that the man has received the past few years is still novel and there is a warmth from having met him briefly that made the discussions seem much more human. He is passionate about the subjects which he discusses and is not afraid to defer to other's expertise when confronted with questions he is not an expert and in many cases he seemed to express genuine concern/interest when members of the audience posited personal questions about their life issues or other dilemmas in the Q/A's. Most importantly, he did not rush the audience out the door, but seemed to be willing to stay and talk as long as the managers would allow him. I would highly recommend for anyone who has even a mild interest in Dr. Peterson's work. I would definitely go see him speak again if he ever comes back to Chicago.
