This was horrible. First of all, they didn't come on until after 2 am. When they did come on, all they did was rap over the track. I could have just listed to the CD at home. Baby barely rapped over anything and was off the stage in less than 30 minutes. Fresh kept going to at least give us a little something more. And at least Fresh performed while on stage as opposed to just standing there most of time even if it was to rap over the track. I hope it was a 70/30 split for Fresh. Definitely not worth the $70 or so admission price. I would see Fresh again at a venue other than the House of Blues, but I wouldn't see Baby for free.

They were amazing as always, the venue was small, and awkward because my underage friend had to go in by herself through a different door.

Stunning multi-media performance with a score by an outstanding musician! Phenomenal puppeteering & the string quartet was perfect! This is a great show for both art lovers & the whole family.

Ryuichi Sakamoto

With minimalist lighting and quietly deliberate sound, Sakamoto opened with his performance with a uniquely subdued flare. Playing the piano from within, manipulating the strings of the soundboard by hand. The full experience of his music was a journey, traveling from the understated quiet and sound, to the splendor and depth of a classical pianist presentation. To attempt to describe the style, one would need to reflect on a collective consisting of: the ambient subtlety of Brian Eno; with David Byrne's creativity & use of sound; add a slice of the avant-garde Laurie Anderson performance artistry; include the mastery & emotion of pianist Liz Story; and add the execution, depth & passion of a Claude Debussy composition. A quiet and personal exhibition. I believe most were unprepared for the genre bending performance style. I also believe that the audience enjoyed this turn of events nonetheless. It was equally as a presentation of art as it was music. Sakamoto's performance was aural geometry: obtuse, angular, circular, polygonal, and for a moment - even tubular. The audience's passage would take them from the likes of "Behind the Mask" to "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" and into uncharted territory both beautiful and restrained. Highly recommended.

Yesterday : a Tribute To the Beatles

The Nowhere Man who posted is a jealous wanna be from a little regional Florida Beatle Band. LOL Yesterday, the Las Vegas Beatles Tribute had 1500 people standing and cheering. They were absolutely fantastic. The best I've ever seen and I've seen them all.

This show was super short. Lasted about an hour! The DJ was great and the few songs that they sang were good too. They were definitely more interested in the Giants game then playing for the crowd!

There are no words for Shawn Klush. He is just amazing. His performance was unremarkable. Wish I could go to Foxwoods the next two nites. Can't get enough of him. Joseph Hall you were Awesome. You put your heart and soul into the performance. This was my niece (10 yrs old) first concert and it was the best one to take her to. Thanks Shawn she got a scarf and won't give it me.

Underworld

I've seen Underworld throughout the years about 7 or 8 times, since the Dubnobasswithmyheadman days, in New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, and Los Angeles. I can say they don't sound like they've aged a day, and in fact actually sound more relevant than ever. Not as easy task when their original fanbase are starting to gray and the new sound of techno attracting young fans via dubstep variants. Despite this, the band soldiers on doing what they do best, which is weaving a diverse array of synthetic sounds and beats, only this time with fewer collaborators, more warmth, and an album full of the lessons absorbed collaborating with each other on grandiose events like the London Olympics, the Frankenstein theatrical soundtrack, and a couple of albums with sonic auteur Brian Eno. Result: One of their finest albums in their discography, and a concert sprinkled with the best of the album, which sound totally in-step with their greatest hits. On this tour, Underworld also played little-heard songs like Eight Ball and Dirty Club in the show, to many fans' great delight. At Coachella or Terminal 5, they sound equally at home.

Enjoyed the J. T. Holmes vignette most. Miller films, as usual, on the cutting edge. I miss Warren, that voice, and attitude.
