We paid for the "inner circle" meet and greet before the show. The Shubert staff opened a few minutes early (it was cold out) and couldn't have been nicer. Kids got to talk to the puppeteers, go on stage, touch the triceratops - put their head in its mouth. And then they got to sit next to a baby dinosaur w/ puppeteer and talk more about dinosaurs. This was all done in a neat and orderly fashion and not at all rushed. The kids were given a dinosaur plush...funny I paid for 4 tickets at the same price, but the adults weren't given a plush! I joke, but. Anyway. The Shubert brought in the Yale Peabody museum, which was a great idea and the kids liked it even though we've been there several times. The show itself is very much a "zoo" type presentation like you'd see at a zoo with a live animal. The puppets were magnificent! We would have liked to see more (my son claims one from an on-line ad was not in the show?) - or at least see more of the ones they used spending more time on the stage during all the talking. The talking was good, especially given a large theater and lots of little kids ;) .But again - more dino action would have been better. They called kids up on stage one at a time to participate - so maybe a total of 4 kids - and also one adult...so get aisle seats if you want a chance! :)

The whole family loved it. We were lucky enough to get there a bit early and had a VIP pass to see the Triceratops on stage. Thankfully we had great seats but they came out into the audience to bring the interactive experience to everyone.

The production seemed to be aimed at a bit more juvenile audience than we anticipated. My boys, ages 10 and 11, didn't care for it. I fell asleep. My wife thought it was ok. It was nice to have the parking fee baked into the price. I paid extra to get good seats and then people who didn't were allowed to move up into unused, more expensive seats. I guess this made sense to increase the interactivity but....

It kept my 3 1/2 year old enthralled the whole time. Entertaining and educational at the same time. My only complaint is the show could have had wider variety of dinosaurs.

The show was good; the kids really enjoyed it. The narrator did a great job, as did the puppeteers. If you're a Christian, however, you have to remind your kids that their explanation of the way life was formed here on earth is incorrect. They kind of push their theory as fact. The show was also only and hour long, which was fine as far as the length that young kids can handle. But, for a show only an hour long, it was rather pricey.

Every one of the puppeteers were wonderful and knew how to interact with children. All the kids were thrilled. We went to the matinee and were especially thrilled when we left and there were NO souvenirs. That was great not having to deal with kids wanting stuff. We walked out talking about how wonderful the show was.

Plenty of visual to keep children involved...especially for close seats. Would like more "effects" for seated audience like the dragonflies.

The puppets are very nice and they do engage the children which is always a plus. It was very educational. The time of just over an hour is good- children that are really young - this doesn't hold them that long- I had one sitting next to me and about 15- 20 min. before it was over he was figgeting and not interested anymore- So I would not say that children under 4 would enjoy the whole hour and 5 min.

Show was a bit wordy to keep attention of the 3-year old. The 5-year old enjoyed learning more about dinosaurs, but even he got antsy after a while. I didn't appreciate the theory of evolution being presented as fact and pretty much rammed down our throats. Not everyone in the audience believes in evolution and there was no mention of creativity or that evolution is just a theory. The puppets were amazing, and the puppeteers were very good. Caution: DON'T invite the children to come to the lobby after the show to pet the baby dinos if you're not going to let ALL the children participate. We waited in line for a very long time, just to be told right as we got to the front of the line that "Oh, that's all the time we have. We have to go now." Didn't appreciate having two crying kids AT ALL!

Had a great time. Had a hard time keeping the grandsons in their seats. They were talking about going again next year, before we even left the theatre. There was evidentally a group allowed a special after-show showing of some type. If I'd known about it I'd have been glad to purchase tickets to that as well. Maybe it wasn't available to the public, I don't know. It would have been nice if the baby dinosaurs had been available in the foyer longer. Thank you.

The puppets were remarkable in their craftsmanship. There were four tiers of puppets - baby dinos, small dinos, large dinos, and a huge dino. The baby dinos were very cute and the post show interaction was nice - except for the constant pushing from the ushers. The small dinos were disappointing. The placement of the hand in the head for control was too obvious - our children were asking if they person was controlling the dino. The large dinos were amazing - minus the person's legs on the TRex. Our son stated - "Daddy I think he ate someone because you can see a person's legs!" The huge dino was also amazing for the brief window of time he made an appearance. Overall we were not very impressed. The bulk of the show was of the small dinos which could use some more engineering to obfuscate the hand controlling it. The ushers were very rude. The post show interaction with the baby dinos was nice but it was mass chaos. There should have been a well defined queue to make dino pics easier.

We had great (second row) seats to the Erth's Dinos Live show and it did not disappoint. Our host was excellent, she did a great job engaging the audience, esp the kids of course. And who doesn't love an Australian accent? The dinos were great, even a bit scary for my kids (almost 5 and 2 1/2) at differnt points. It helped I could point out the puppeteers feet! Overall I'd definitely recommend the show.

Four and five year old grandkids (girl & boy), as well as grandparents all really enjoyed Dinosaur Zoo. We all liked learning so much about these creatures along with the combination of great puppets and puppeteers. Also appreciated the audience participation that created interest and alleviated any perceived fears of 4-year old granddaughter. "Not as scary as she thought it would be"!

Besides the crying kid kicking my chair and the tall parents seating in front of us. My boys (7 & 9 years old) enjoyed it especially when the T-Rex came out. I wasn't sure what to expect with this show, but it turned out to be good fun. I had a 5 year old, 10 year old, and 18 year old with me (along with my wife). The two youngest had a great time and really enjoyed both the dinosaur puppetry and the vaguely cheesy comedy. The adults enjoyed the show, as well, though clearly it was meant for the younger audience. The puppetry is quite impressive, if not Henson Studios calibre puppets. They managed to make the dinosaurs seem alive and responsive. All in all, I'd definitely recommend the show for anyone with younger kids. One note, there is audience participation, but it was only with those seated in the Orchestra pit. Bear that in mind when planning your outing.

Show was decent. Not all the animals (puppets) that are in the video promos were in the show. This show does not compare at all to the Walking with Dinosaurs show which was awesome. I think it was entertaining but over priced. The fact that you know they are puppets and you can clearly see their hands in the heads of the smaller ones takes away from the show a little. They do a good job at getting the movement right though. The VIP behind the scenes was not worth it. Only got to see one of the three baby dinos for like 5 seconds and then the handlers ran off. Even the other two handlers who were in the lobby ran off with children still waiting to see the baby dinos they had.

If you are considering spending the extra money for the meet and greet DON'T!!! They have one baby that you get to touch and take a picture with and that is it...waited in line for 30 minutes for one minute with the Dino...and after the show they had a baby that everyone could see. Such a waste! And if you paid extra for the meet and greet they would not let you sit in the best seats...I am very disappointed! And for that much money the show was very short.

If you are anything like me,we aim to explore most events that come to town. Many shows seem to have that same familiar feel, but this show was amazing! I found it educational and entertaining at the same time. I wondered about some of the facts presented, but It just made me want to research more. Lots of crowd participation and you get to see and touch the baby dinosaurs at the end of the show! I have several pictures that will remind us of this event. We thought it was great!

This event was overly hyped with excellent marketing, but it did not deliver. The puppets were amateurish; at one point, human legs were clearly visible in the T Rex. The premise of sharing facts was a good one, but so much more should have been done. The entire show depended on the voice of one woman speaking in a strong Australian accent often hard to understand. The show relied on the potential for fear promulgated by the MC. Children were talked to and talked down. Jokes wereoffensive given the presence is so many little children.

I am sorry that I have to give this show a poor review, mostly because of the cost. The show was approximately 50 minutes long, and consisted of a variety of dinosaur puppets coming out on stage while the show's commentator related facts about their existence, also choosing some children from the audience for participation. While the puppets were phenomenal and the information interesting, and as much as the commentator tried to make things amusing, I think this is a show that belongs in an amusement park or children's museum and should be offered for free, or if it is a traveling show, at least offered for half the price from what I paid. The loud noises scared the younger children, which is not the fault of the show but just worth a mention for anyone considering attending. All in all the show was entertaining, but definitely overpriced.

I loved how they introduced the dinosaurs to the children . They eased in from the smallest to the biggest so that the children would not be afraid . They brought some children onstage to help the younger children understand that the puppets would not hurt them . There was humor for kids and adults . Highly recommend . The smile on my nephews face after was pricelsss. He was scared at first and by the end of the show he was dancing in the aisles.

My son is only two and half so if there would be more action and less talking and less time with kids on the podium it would be better. My son loves dinosaurs! It just took way too long before new dinosaurs showed up. nothing interesting was happening between. The only good thing was that the dinosaurs looked good and were not scary (except of a dragon fly that scarred him at the beginning and he wanted to go home - In other hand that was the only thing I liked :)) I think it is good they do it for kids. I would pay more and go again if they talk less :)

The puppets were amazing and inspired creativity in my kids. The show itself was too slow. Thought this would be fun for my dinosaur enthusiast 3yr olds. There was a lot of talking which was great for the older kids, the audience was full of little kids getting restless. It was an hour & 10 minute show thankfully. They brought out 4 & 1/2 Dinos. The last one was just a head & neck & a large dragon fly. They enjoyed it but, I believe it is better for 6yrs plus! Positives: Venue was nice, good to have kid snacks, beverages available. Staff was very friendly and on their game. Loved the length of the performance. Right amount of time for little ones. Enjoyed last 15 minutes or so of performance. Enjoyed the crowd interaction. Areas for improvement: the performance started really slowly with lots of dialogue, hard to keep little ones interest in seats with not much going on up on stage. Difficult for us to hear Miles. We were in row R, so not that far away.

If you enjoy dinosaurs and history, this show is worth attending. The group did a very nice job of presenting information and the puppeteers were great. The only downside was the price. Three tickets were almost $150, and while the show was good, the value to price ratio was very disappointing. Ticket prices should not be more than $25 for this type of event - hence the three star rating.

Grandpa and I took our Grandchildren and their Mother. The adults enjoyed the Australia Host and found her amusing, we laughed outloud. I was disappointed to learn it was just over one hour. We were disappointed that the T-Rex did not interact more during the show. Many years ago, we had seen Walking with the Dinosaur's and were thoroughly engrossed, totally loved that show.
