She is hilarious. She is on point with her topics. The opener was good too. There were a couple of segments at the end that were on serious topics that weren't couched in humor. It seemed to bring down the room a bit. Well done!

Margaret and her two openers were amazing. I was kinda disappointed that I couldn't take pictures. Security was tight, camera phones weren't even allowed. But I'd go again the next chance I get!

Margaret Cho had 2 openers and then her show. All did not disappoint. Each had their own moment to shine. I LOVE that Margaret has added music and songs to her show(when's the CD get released?!).

Within the first 5 minutes, I had tears rolling down my cheeks - Margaret is fantastically funny. She mixed some new material with some old that I had seen on some of her specials, keeping the act very fresh, with a ton of some very funny, and some very touching musical numbers (Dog Song). I would see her again and again. Her two traveling companions, although maybe not as funny as Margaret, certainly fit the realm of the show perfectly! It's really great to see a couple of actually FUNNY gay men take the stage and know how to warm up an audience for Margaret - a perfect pairing to a hell of a night entertainment.

Great show! But be warned that you need to like your humor raw and sexual. (I do.) Her opening lines were about the sore neck she had developed by sucking c-ck. It got more hard-core after that. Not quite what I expected after having seen her on TV. Hilarious, but potentially awkward if you bring a naive date. One interesting note: Very little profanity compared to some of the other comics that I've seen lately. That was kind of refreshing! lol! ... Grin

Margaret was painfully hysterical and charming and over-the-top. The opening act, Ian, was very funny and super charming and Margaret had us rolling in the aisles. She has such a talent for vulgar, honest, insanely ridiculous humor and I would see her again in a heartbeat. Go. GO see this show!

Margaret Cho @ the NorVa was AWESOME!!!! She was really funny (wasn't to impressed with John Roberts tho) and the venue was great. We went to Kelly's Backstage Cafe for dinner before hand so we were able to get in to the show earlier than the general public (a little perk for dinning there) so we had great seats. Third row!!! I would recommend this show to anyone who likes to laugh!

Margaret Cho is no doubt the queen of comedy. Her material is fresh and funny! THe show is adequately timed. If I have a bone to pick, it would be the opening act with John Roberts as there is definitely opportunity to bring his material up to par with Margaret's. Nevertheless, it was a fun-filled night.

Last night I took a date to see Margaret Cho's show at the National Theater in Richmond, VA. I have seen some of Ms. Cho's comedy on televison and was expecting something quite different than what I got. I don't remember the name of the young man/lady? that opened the show his/her comedy was marginal at best and would be improved by the addition of some elements of comedy and less stress on his/her transgender status. I had never heard of John Roberts before tonight and hope to never hear of him again. He changed wigs during his act and had them lined up on a table on the stage. I found myself counting them to see how much more I had to indure until he got off the stage. Finally Ms. Cho came on stage and started her act. The billing for the show on Ticket Master was, "A Comedy and Music Experience" there was a sign as we entered the theater that stated, " Warning Mature Content." I am not a prude, nor am I offended by comedy with a mature theme, and having spent over 20 years in the Army I have heard and used profanity. However I found myself a bit shocked and somewhat disgusted by Ms. Cho's brand of comedy, and after the show found myself apologizing to my date for having taken her to the show. More over as a straight male I found that as with her opening acts that much of the comedy content went over my head and I didn't understand what others were laughing at. Ms. Cho had several guitars lind up on stage and as with Mr. Roberts wigs I found myself counting them to see just how much more there was until the act would finally end. The most positive thing I can say about her act was that at least she was wearing panties so that every time she bent over to pickup and put down one of her guitars we did not have to see whether or not she really had bleached her, "hole."

I had high expectations going into this show. I've enjoyed her show on VH1 and past stand up comedy. This was very weak for Magaret Cho. There was way too much singing and no real killer jokes. Overall, I felt let down when it was all over.

Margaret and Co were phenominal last night. It was not only the first time I saw her live but it was also the first comedy show I have ever been to. I used to watch her sitcom when I was a kid. The first comedy album that I bought of hers was Notorious Cho and she was just as funny now as she was then. Met some wonderful new friends in the proccess. I can't wait until the next time she tours over here again.

OK, first I am a huge Margaret Cho fan. I am also a huge fan on the NORVA for bringing a lot fo good quality shows into Norfolk (Hampton Roads), Virgina. It just wasn't clicking for me last night. The show seemed to lack something, but it had many wonderful moments which made going worth while. I absolutely love the diversity in the crowd and thats what attracts me to Cho besides her wit and take on life. I would go see her again this tour in hopes that maybe it would come together a little better. I would never make a good reviewer because I believe that a show is 50/50 with what the performer brings and what the person brings. Somehow last night, we both came in about 25/25.

As my first time seeing Margaret Cho in person, this was the ultimate belly buster a comedian has ever given me. I almost fell out of my chair several times. What makes her performance even funnier is the fact that everything she talked about was true for her mixed audience of gay and straight. And there were some topics many of us think about doing or saying but never follow through on. So to hear Margaret talk freely on stage about these things made it extremely hilarious and very entertaining, especially with how she acts everything out and all the facial expressions.

Margaret Cho is an amazingly talented person. Aside from her comedic genius, she is also a "gifted" musician and songstress. Last night's show started off quite interesting with a female to male transgendered comic named Ian, who was awesomely funny. The downside to Ian's performance was he only had a 5 to 10 minute dialogue. Definitely one to keep an eye on in the future. Next up was John Roberts, who can only be described as a sprinter on crack. His energy on stage changing from one character to another was tiring and hiliarious all at the same time. Then it was Margaret's turn on stage. She rocked the house! Too much to describe! As always, you have to see her live to appreciate her true genius.

I have seen Margaret Cho on several shows on comedy channel, HBO, etc. Where was the real Margaret Cho? I can appreciate someone talking about things that are personally important - childhood rape, Hillary didn't win, etc. but that's not what I paid for. The show was good but thought it was too short; Warm up comedian performed for 1/2 hour and M. Cho performed for just 1 hour. It took me longer to get to the venue in Bow, WA than the show was. That was disappointing given the ticket cost and the remote venue site!

It was an odd trainwreck to bear witness to. A few couples left early on. The sound was off so the opening act (which still needs some polishing- too many lulls between punchlines) actually sounded like Alvin and the Chipmunks, which seemed like a cruel and unusual irony since the act was a little person. I'm not sure either of them even needed a mike because they yelled at the audience the whole time. I don't mind off color or "blue" stand-up, but the subject matter of both acts deviated to the gross-out- 'maybe just keep that to yourself.' Cho was angry and defensive for the whole (maybe 90 minute) show. I wanted to fall asleep, but I was afraid she would yell at me. It ended with her showing us just about all of her body art including her butt cheeks. We were grossed out so if that was the goal- she succeeded. I saw her 15 years ago, and she was great - not this time.

It takes a certain type of humor to really appreciate Cho's comedy, and I guess half of the balcony didn't check the name at the door when they walked in because they walked out during her religious schpeel toward the end. Overall, Cho set an amazing presence and her jokes kept hitting fresh. Not all of her jokes were raunchy, despite what people may believe about her act. I have seen Margaret perform a couple different times but it has been a long time (at least seven years since I saw her last) and I used to enjoy her shows and loved her TV series from the 80s or 90s "All American Girl) with BD Wong. I was excited to see would be in Detroit a weekend I would be home and bought tickets. I wish I would have saved the hour drive and the money and stayed home. Her warm up act was someone I never heard of but was funnier than Margaret. Margaret has gotten "really out there" A lot of the show reminded me of right after Ellen came out and all she focused on was being a lesbian. Same with Cho on Sunday, a lot of the show was talking about her being a lesbian and her sex life and it wasn't that funny. She has also plastered her body with Tattoos and decided to show those off to the audience including her butt. She needs to get back to her comedy style from a decade ago when she made fun of her mom and used quotes like "my idea of heaven is an all you can eat buffet where you never get fat and never get full". I hope they bring some decent comedy to Motor City like Lisa Lampanelli, now that's one lady that is still funny after all these years.

Selena the opener was the only bright spot... Margaret was awful... It felt like I was at ultra Left wing political rally with as many vulgarities as she could squeeze in the to make it as disgusting as possible. Way to much filth and what sounded like a angry political rant, wife and I left after 20 minutes of her skit (neither of us cracked a smile much less laughed)... hoping she would change topics... but it just got worse and worse.

I was a huge Margaret Cho fan. But this show just didn't deliver. First of all, the flow was off. By the time she finally came out, I was excited to get some good Asian-impersonations and jokes, and she went right into marrying a gay couple on stage. We paid to see her perform, not to see some vows. It was too much political ranting, not enough comedy. Also, not as much funny parents stuff and asian stuff. Only a few moments throughout. The crowd was kind of annoying and trashy at this event as well. It was no Kathy griffin crowd.

I love Margaret Cho, but this show left me wanting more...or less. She started strong, really strong, but then got lost in a rant on politics and sexual abuse. More anger than humor and it was a turn off. I was also confused by her Fat Pussy song. She's a great comic and a so-so singer. Not sure i would have gone if i knew she was going to be performing music. Seemed unnecessary and, more to the point, not funny. Still love you, Margaret - get back to the comedy.

I think Margaret Cho is hilarious. Her humor is smart, and well-timed. She seems to always push a little further-to see how far she can go before the audience gets too uncomfortable. I think it's brave, and true to who she is. Be warned, the material is like 95% sex, and very graphic. Not first-date material, or anything you want to take your visiting from out-of-town relatives to. I think the show was great. I would definitely see her again.

I purchased a VIP ticket that included parking. The staff was so organized at the theatre, and the service was incredible. Margaret Cho and Selena Luna were at the top of their game. Thank you for an incredible and fun experience!

She never disappoints, what a great show! Margaret Cho is one of the most clever, initiative comics of our time.

If you like jokes about bodily fluids and want to hear about Bi/Gay material most of the evening, then this show is for YOU! I personally didn't laugh much. She repeated a lot of lines that weren't really that funny and the repeating seemed to be just a time waster. She was on stage for less than 1 hr & 1/2 and 70% of her show is based on Bi/Gay subject matter, so be prepared to listen to that. Would never buy tickets to see her again. The warm up comedian was very funny tho! She was very entertaining but I cant recall her name!

I do enjoy her as a performer but it was more of the same. The show was very uneven. The material dated. And once again, her political humor was not sharp.

If you enjoy both an opening act and Margaret Cho spending the entire time talking about vaginas and penis girth and width you'll enjoy. Definitely got old quickly and not much to laugh about. Save your $$

If you wants to see a comic like no other go see Margaret Cho!!! She takes you for a ride like no one else. Her stories are about real life and some hard times she has been through and somehow she makes you laugh at her life and the world that we all endure. Love her to the fullest!!!

Used to be a Margaret Cho fan. She was always outrageous and ballsy. But this was a night of her namedropping easy targets of people she hates in the news and ranting about how much she hates them, wants to kill them etc. Then saying she's all about peace and love and acceptance. Followed by an almost complete strip down apropos of nothing so we could all "enjoy" her full body tattoos in a thong for 10 minutes. And the "grand" finale, a band comes out and hacks away while MC screams into the mike two songs, one, "I wanna kill my rapist" that was the line she screamed over and over. Followed by "Fat p***y." Scream/singing about her own, you guessed it... That song almost entirely consisted of her screaming that "hysterical" FP line over and over. What happened next? Couldn't tell you. That was an hour into her set after suffering through her opener, her (also painfully unfunny) BFF protege Luna and an OK British female comedian. The FP song was way past both of us being over it, and her. We walked out. Should've left a LOT sooner. Wish I could get my money and those two hours of my life back.

I have been a fan for years and this show just proved that she is purely amazing. The show was so great even the opener for the opener was amazing. The material was authentic and made me think and start a inner conversation of how I feel about some current events and topics. She finished out the show with two great songs and both were phenomenal.

It was an interesting show but a little on the dark side. The Selene Luna gal that opened for Ms. Cho was very entertaining; but Margaret was definitely on a mission to heal some wounds that she suffered earlier in her career/life. At some points I felt like she should have paid us to help her put her demons behind her.... I agreed with most of what she had to say; but I was there to be entertained after a rough work week!!... Don't know if I would go again....but I would definitely go to see Selene Luna again.

Opening Act was great. Margaret was focused on sex and being outrageous too much. I think she could be more creative and show her talent and openness in a classier way and still be Margaret. Did not care to see her tats or her body. Was hoping for more of the Asian comedy. She can be so much better with being more subtle---and still be even more Psycho. Sometimes less is best.

I have seen her on tv many times and she is hilarious...but not this time. The first comedian was very funny...but when Margaret Cho came out it went from a comedy show to a liberal anti anybody who is not liberal political rally. She bashed everyone who did not agree with her...but not in a comedic way... In an angry hateful way. She says she preaches peace and acceptance of others bit obviously only acceptance of liberals..... Many people sitting around us walked out! There was no comedy in her part of the show. WORST SHOW EVER!!

The comic before Cho was really funny and entertaining. Cho was funny in the beginning until she started to sound more like an angry advocate. I can understand the hurt and anger from her past. The show was not entertaining like before and my friend and I was starting to fall asleep. She had more rage in her act then ever.
