Great game, great atmosphere, great seats. Good value, really liked to see all the kids, more of a family vibe than the more expensive Dallas Stars. Rowdy fans, I was one of them, but kept it clean for the children's sake. Tell your friends to take advantage of the family packs!

My wife and I went to the game last night and we both enjoyed the game. There are some kinks in the system, parking was slow, will call was ridiculous (print your own tickets), and the concessions were terribly run. They were extremely slow. I'm hoping for future events things get better as there is plenty of room for improvement.

It was good to see the Dallas Stars and the Texas Stars but it's too bad that the Texas Stars have a small, cheap arena with everything way overpriced ->$10 parking and $7 beers(beers that take about 20 minutes to buy). The Travis County Expo Center where the Austin Icebats played wasn't great, unless it's compared to this place. -Won't be coming back anytime soon

I was so excited to go see my first hockey game. The tickets were a little pricey, but I thought it would be worth it. I was disappointed in the prices once we arrived. $80 for 2 tickets...okay. $10 to park...really? I expected concessions to be expensive and they were. $25 for a hot dog, pretzel, soda, and water. The biggest disappointment was the leg room. I am tall, and the seats are sooooo close together. The hockey game was enjoyable, but I was very unimpressed with the new venue in Cedar Park. The people who put the seats in definitely weren't planning on ever using them. They probably sit in the box seats up top.

For a new era in a new facility, I was completely let down by the amentities. Parking in Cedar Park Texas at $10 and $20 per car. Half the price to park in downtown Austin for UT! Hell, paid less to park for a STARS GAME IN DALLAS. Seating - reminded me of growing up on the ranch. How many could I herd into the trailer without actually investing in a bigger trailer. PACKED IN. Place only hold about 6500 people, so 20% of the space was wasted on SUITES - this isnt Jerry World or our beloved DKR....and yet 18 to 20 private suites...while the rest are packed shoulder to shoulder...hmmm Party Pass anyone? LOL And finally, the City - bless the Police Officers for doing there ver best as always with a terrible situation. The city was involved in this planning, yet no traffic lights, no turn lanes, nothing to assist in getting to the site...and good luck if your coming from ay direction but Leander. No west bound turning until after the place, then in a U-Turn around situation that, again, just bless the men and women in blue putting up with that mess. Concessions were kinda pricey for a small venue though - I spend less at a UT Game for example. And Im wondering how long it will take to figure out the horrible idea of serving BBQ dinners with beans on plates in a small log jam such as this.

I have been to many venues in the United States. I now live about 20 miles from the Cedar Park Arena. I was over-joyed to see that this new arena was opeining and going to have minor league hockey and music events. The sight lines are Great in the arena, however the seating is the WORST I've ever been in. I'm average weight and 6 ft tall, but even if someone is 5'4, the chairs are WAY to narrow and the distance between rows is only suited to small children. ENTIRE rows have to stand for anyone to get in and out of the aisles. For the sake of revenue they have made an arena that is not comfortable for anyone. I will attend a concert to see if the floor seating is better, although I don't usually like to sit on the floor during concerts, but I can only hope that they at least give a patron some comfort when they put in the temp. concert floor seating.

I think the hockey will get better every week. The Stars have a lot of talent and will get better the more they play together. The passing will come together and they will gel when they spend a little more time getting to know each other. Yeah the price for parking was to expensive, $5 is more than enough. Yep there is still growing pains that the arena will go through to learn about how to be a good hockey venue. What I could not get past was the arena seating. I am six foot and there is no way to sit comfortably in the seats. You have to put your knees on either side of the chair in front of you and tuck your feet under you. Not comfortable for any length of time. The drink holders while a good idea only add to the misery of trying to find someplace to put your legs. It is my impression the builders forgot that this is Texas and built this place for little people.

The hockey with the Stars vs Stars was as much fun as I had hoped. It was great to finally see Dallas in person. I loved watching the intensity of the teams and the skills of the players. What I didn't like was the arena was built for little people. I am six foot tall and had to sit with my feet tucked under me as my legs hit the back of the seat in front of me. There is no way for an average size person to sit comfortably. I have been to arenas all over the country and this is the first time I could not sit with my feet in front of me. I almost pulled the trigger on season tickets for the Texas Stars put something told me I needed to check out the seating before I did. I am so glad I listened and waited. Had I paid the thousands of dollars for the season and then be forced to sit in really uncomfortable small seats I would be very upset. It is almost worth it to watch the caliber of hockey that the Stars play but I would hesitate going back.

The venue was great! The new Cedar Park arena is amazing. There is no such thing as a bad seat. The facility is awesome with the one exception of the seats being way too tiny. I am a pretty average sized guy at five foot eleven and 210 pounds, and my knees were crushed up against the seat in front of me. There was a really tall guy sitting next to us that had to put his legs over the seat in front of him because he couldn't fit in the seat normally. there seems to be some rows that are better than where we sat though. One row in front of us had an extra couple of inches in leg room which was very comfortable. I guess it's just luck of the draw with which row you get? We sat in section 105 row E, which should be avoided. If you move up to the next row wich should be row D you will be fine. Those seats are 3 rows away from the glass. The on-ice product was alot better than the seating. Definitely worth going to some games there, but be selective about your seats.

The arena was great! Parking was fine, although $10 seemed a little steep to park. Couldn't you charge $5 to park and still make a decent profit? Once I entered and received the program I noticed a large add on the back of the program for Bud Light with Lime. I was immediately excited and looked at every single vending location to buy a Bud Light with Lime and none was offered. I was a little disappointed that you would advertise a product then not have it available. The seats were very comfortable. I was a little frustrated that I didn't always realize when a goal was scored because unlike other hockey games there was not a loud horn that blew to alert you to a goal. Also, when a penalty occurred there wasn't an announcement to state the penalty. I thought it was really odd that the folks directing you to your seat would not let you enter the arena while the puck was in play. I've been to a lot of pro hockey games and I have never experienced that. Just let the folks go to their seats. It is no more disruptive then those already in their seats getting up and moving out of their row to go to the concessions or the bathroom.

The hockey game was great. Enjoyed the game. The seats at the Event Center are very uncomfortable and are design for children not adults. I heard complaints about the seats from tall and big people like myself. This indicates that the event center was designed to maximize profit instead of the comfort of th fans. I'm a Cedar Park resident and I'm disappointed with the seats.

I have a few things that could be improved at an other wise great event. First, it took to long to get into the parking lot. We left our house that is normally 5 minutes from the center 30 minutes before the game and just barely made it in before the first puck drop. Next, the people were the concession stands had no idea what they were doing. Took way too long to get food and drinks. It took from about halfway through the first intermission to eight minutes left in the second period causing us to miss a considerable amount of the game. Problem wouldn't have been as bad if the standalone beer stands took credit card. I'm not a big person, tall or wide, but i found the seats to really lacking in leg room, not much you can do about that now. Finally, the public address announcer did not announce penalties, which made the game a little harder to follow sometimes.

The game was a blast - we had a lot of fun. HOWEVER, be warned that parking at this little stadium costs $10!!! Since there is no alternative way to arrive at the arena, that seems quite ridiculous....you don't have a choice but to drive there and park your car in their lot. Also, the Stars lack a little something in terms of fan appreciation. They didn't even shake hands with their opponents at the end of the game (not a good lesson in sportsmanship for our little ones), nor did they make a round of the rink at the end so the fans could applaud their performance. Maybe the team is too young for these niceties, but the fans would sure appreciate these gestures.

Venue is fantastic for viewing hockey. Not a bad seat in the house. There are a few issues: 1. $10 is ridiculous for parking at the arena. 2. Food and beverage prices I expect to be overpriced but once again Cedar Park is kidding themselves with their prices. Perhaps they should have gone to a few Round Rock Express games to find out how to do it right. 3. This should be fixed over time as the arena is new but the staff is pretty clueless. 4. The curtains in the tunnels are not needed and just get in the way when entering or leaving. 5. NO LEG ROOM. Get an aisle seat if you're over 5'1". 6. No shots on goal on the scoreboard? You did know you were going to be playing hockey here, right?

The first game was good, but the Texas players were a collection of prospects sent down from the Stars training camp and not a well organized team. I am confident that when the season starts that the lineups will be solidified and we will have a great team. The arena is amazing and there is no bad seat in the place at all. The seats are very tight and if you are tall there will be problems of where to put your knees. On the up side, the seats are padded and comfortable. Just a note to fairweather hockey fans, bring a coat, as the cedar park center's a/c works very well.

The team needs a lot of practice in puck handling, but the event staff went above and beyond to ensure a good time was had by all. We tried out numerous seats, and from a viewing perspective, there are no bad seats. If you are extra large, as I am, don't try any seat except the loge and glass seats. The cup holders made the seats too narrow, and the arm rests don't move. Also, it should be noted that both stadium levels serve drinks, but there is no food available on the upper level.

I hope that Austin and surrounding areas will get into hockey more after this inaugural year with the AHL Texas Stars. This is the development team for the Dallas Stars where I had season tickets for the last few years when I lived in North Texas. Up-side: Fast-paced game; great entertainment! If you are lucky, you might even see a good fight or two. The TX Stars have some dedicated fans :) Be ready to yell, cheer and get rowdy. There is not a bad seat in the house at CPC. Down-side: I know that it stinks to pay $10 for parking but you can grab a few friends, carpool and share the parking cost. You can avoid the toll road by taking the OLD Hwy. 183 with the street lights. Concessions are a little high $$, but the food is alright. Good support a great team!

As a life long hockey fan from Chicago I was happy to see that "real" hockey has come to Austin. The play was much better than what we had with the Icebats (goon hockey). The facility was amazing. Great seats, a big screen TV to watch when the game is not viewable and easier to get into and out of than the Expo Center. The down side for us south side folks is the distance. The other distractions that kept this event from reaching 5 stars for me were two things; (1) Cold temps. Most arena's I've been to are cool, but not frigid. I needed my winter jacket just to stay warm, and (2) LOUD music, I liked their selection, but it was a a bit too loud. All in all it was a great experience and I will be back. Though maybe not as much as I would if it wasn't soooo far north.

The facilities are exceptional, the center is well staffed and the employees are quite helpful. The stadium itself is well lit and the sound system is quite adequate to say the least. The presentation was about what you would expect for an AHL Hockey game. The only qualm I have is that the parking fee is a little high, I understand that they have to help to pay off the construction of the center but the fee is almost as expensive as some of the tickets. Another qualm is that there is no or very little traffic control after the game, it would be my reasoning that with such an appropriately priced parking fee that the center could afford to staff a reasonable amount of parking lot traffic control officials. other then that little note, the place is great and I will most definitely be returning in the future.

I regularly attend events at this venue. I had a great burger from one of the vendors that included shredded bacon on top of the meat patty that was interesting but good and also good blackberry cider from a vendor located upstairs at the venue. The tasty waves craft beer was not my thing. Overall this was a nice experience. The Stars won the Western Conference and I will be attending the next two games for the Calder Cup Championship. The only negative was the seats had a bar in front that obstructed some of the view but after a while I got used to either raising my head or lowering it in order to get a better view. Parking was easy and getting out of the venue was not a problem. The team mascot came by but who knows what or who is in that outfit (lol) and I could not figure out if it's a rat or as mentioned by someone a ringtail.

I am as huge of a hockey nut as it gets w/playing on multiple teams, have seen multiple Stanley Cup Finals, minor and junior championships and a decade long Blackhawks season ticketholder. Now the closest pro hockey to me in Austin is the Texas Stars and I just won't go anymore. The last game I went to was 4 years ago but couldn't stand all the glass banging and profanity in the crowd. I went last week for a playoff game and sat on the glass but it was once again unbareable, even some 12 year old kid near me was kicking the glass with his shoes not to mention how there were constant complaints about how the ref and other team suck. No more, was my last game and I wouldn't recommend going.

I brought my kids, with choice seats 118 behind the players bench. My only complaint is about the unsportsman like chants lead by Star fans closest to the Rampage bench. We came up from San Antonio to watch the San Antonio Rampage take on the Texas Stars. Neat little arena. The people were nice except for one heckler. Had he put more effort in supporting his team than dogging our team, maybe they would've won. But great atmosphere.

First visit to H-E-B Center. Sound quality is good, sightlines to the ice surface & game play are very good, seating comfort & leg room are average, concourses and restrooms are roomy & clean. Ticketing & security & usher staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our party of 4 witnessed a very entertaining hockey game, and the home crowd was loud & enthusiastic (especially for a mid-week game). Inclusion of arena parking in the base ticket price is convenient, but not available for all events.

What an awesome game. The Stars played fantastic. Fast action, great passing, awesome shots. The arena is fantastic, no matter where you sit you have an awesome view of the game. The fans are loud and get involved. It made for wonderful experience that we will do over and over next season! Go Stars!!!

I bought tickets for my boyfriend for Christmas to try out a fun, new date night. Tickets were easily purchased, parking at the Cedar Park Center was easy, and the facilities were great. We splurged a little and bought club seats and it definitely was worth it, though regular tickets would have been great, too! I don't think there is a bad seat in the venue. Club seats had in-seat service and the waitress was perfect! Not too bothersome, but attentive. The Stars had what I would call a great game and the entertainment was cute! We will definitely be going back. It was well worth the cost!

So much more pleasant than taking a kid to UT game. Adults are excited but know there are kids in the area. Well organized event with easy access to food, bathrooms and exits. Every seat is a good seat. I would and will do this again. Great venue.

My girlfriend and I went on short notice. We had great seats, but anywhere in the arena looks like a great seat. We could see and hear everything that was going on, the game is so fast and intense, it was exciting to be there. Then they started with the giveaways, all kinds of gifts for the crowd. Was fun the whole night.

Going to see the Texas Stars for my birthday was awesome! Neat little arena, the fans know their hockey, the music & goal horn was loud! Mot a bad seat in the house. way better than the AT&T Center. It reminded me of the Central Hockey League. Way better than a SA Rampage game.

It was my first Hockey game. Something that I was wanting to do for a while already, on one of my previous visits to United States. I have already recommended to my friends to use any opportunity they have to watch a Hockey game. Even being AHL instead of NHL, the game was dynamic, with a lot of goals and even a small fight. All very well organized, I had no difficulty in finding Cedar Park Center and finding my spot.

Overall this was a fantastic event at a new, clean and small venue very close to home. Yes, all the food/beverages were over priced, ill never understand why these events are so over priced, but I expected it. Yes $10 parking is too high. My fiancé and I took my 12 yo son & a girl he is friends with. They had a blast! I plan to go often was great fun and lots of action!

There is not a bad seat in the house at the Cedar Park Center and the Stars certainly made the evening even more enjoyable. My (3) eight year olds were into the game from the first drop of the puck and yelled everytime the scoreboard asked them too.

This is my second experience at the Cedar Park Center watching the Texas Stars. I definitely enjoy coming to these games. It is something that I want to take advantage of more often. I am not even a hockey enthusiast. I recommend this for people of all ages and groups of different interests. During most games you will see a hard hits or a great fight.

We brought my sons and two friends for Zach's 8th birthday. They had a blast! The game kept them entertained with all the crowd shots and music on the Jumbotron. And what a perfect game....overtime with a shoot-out and they won! Better yet, Zach's name was announced on the Jumbotron and he received a birthday package from the Texas Stars! Can not wait to attend another one!

It was my first time attending an AHL game and my first time in the Cedar Park Center. I had absolutely amazing seats for a very reasonable price. Even if you don't go for the premium seats there isn't a bad seat in the house. The Texas Stars fan are as dedicated as much or more than most NHL fans. This game was my daughters first live hockey game after our drive home they begged me to do it again so we will be back in two weeks!

I grew up in a great Hockey town, saw the REDWINGS many time throughout my youth both during their practice sessions and went to their games. Its wonderful having the STARS right here in our own neiborborhood. My wife who hates sports, has been to two games with me now and both were in the first row up againt the glass and she has loved it both times. We will be going again. Only negative, cost to much for beer. :>)

I had an awesome time at the Texas Stars game at Cedar Park Center. It was loads of fun!!! The fans were very energetic, and the team was brilliant!!! It was truly a wonderful time! I am definitely going again, and would recommend going to a game for anyone who loves hockey or just live sports in general. The games are family friendly, and the concessions are moderately priced. I did not experience any problems at all. It was one of the best sports games I'd been to in a long time!! My seat was awesome too! I do not think there is a bad seat in the arena. In addition, the arena is very clean!!

Great game but the Cedar Park Center leaves a lot to be desired. There are not nearly enough bathrooms at the facility and it is really difficult walking around. The bathrooms only have one entrance & exit and there is a long line. The seats are really narrow as well.

Nothing quite like a playoff game! And we had seats on the glass! Bought them they day before the game - process with the website was a breeze and I was quickly printing out tickets! They even had fireworks to open the game (see the picture!) One warning: bring a jacket, wear close toed shoes, and wear pants. It is freezing in there.

Fantastic game. Facing their rivals from San Antonio, our Stars made the night spectacular. A really hard fought game and decisive with. The team stayed afterwards for signing posters. A wonderful bunch of young men; very generous of their time and connecting with the young kids. Thank you!

The game was totally boring compared to ones I attended before. No one was announcing anything so had no idea what was happening. I do not know hockey or what the penalties are for so with no one announcing it makes the game boring. Costs way too much for tickets and refreshments. I won't be going to any other hockey games.
