Never Shout Never

Never Shout Never

Initially formed in Joplin, Missouri, in 2007, the indie rock band, Never Shout Never, recently returned after a brief musical hiatus with an impressive concert appearance at the 2013 Warped Tour. Although the Warped Tour performance was mostly marked by an effort at promoting both peace and patriotism, it also featured the classic heavy percussion and impressive guitar sequences that have so successfully sold tickets during past tours. The members of Never Shout Never were eager to get back on the road, but the main purpose of their Warped Tour appearance was to promote "Sunflower," a recent full-length album released in July 2013.Never Shout Never may currently attract vast audiences, but the band's beginnings were fairly humble in nature.

Honestly, this was the BEST concert I've EVER been to. My friend and I made our own shirts. There were nice people in the crowd, the fans were like me, inspired and obsessed. Christofer Drew was hilarious, cute, and the band really showed the talent. Taylor even touched my shoulder. The sound was perfect. Amazing concert. ;)

Wow.. Kids today. This was by far the most average concert I have ever seen in my life. I don't have one thing good to say about any of the bands other than God Bless them for getting paid to do what they love. I don't know why they aren't playing at their local bar for a $5 dollar cover charge. That seems to be what the extent of their talent is worth. Vocals, average, guitar, below average, drums, slightly above average, songwriting - lets just say they should stick to playing cover songs. Hey I'm old, but the 16 and 18 year olds we brought with us thought they were lame as well. The venue? Sweet Jesus, I looked up and those fans haven't been dusted since the 1980's (think I'm kidding, check out the picture!). Dust bunnies were falling into my beer, which was warm. I should have had a top on the beer and drank it through a straw. Unfortunately no amount of beer could erase this wasted night.

The venue was awesome. I just can't like jamming the stage....it's an accident (or lawsuit) waiting to happen. I brought my daughter and her friends...a little nerve racking especially when you're responsible for other people's kids! The show was great and I would love to come back for an adult thing! would take them back with seating

The whole time during the concert, people were pushing to the point where I couldn't breathe. I felt bad for the opening bands -- Everyone just wanted to get to the front so that Christopher Drew would see them, so nobody even paid attention to the opening acts, especially the one right before the main act. I rated this a four because despite the pushing and obnoxiously tight crowd before Chris came up, it all went away once he took the stage. Everyone just seemed to stop, and we all just listened to him while he was up. He was amazing. I'd recommend this to a friend if they weren't short... I felt bad for all the short people in the audience.

My friend and I used to listen to NSN all the time in high school and my friend was literally in love with Christopher Drew, and we got lucky enough to run into him in a little pizza place ten minute before the concert began! The band was amazing and Haley Kiyoko (who opened for them) gave an awesome, fun performance. Totally worth it. :D

Overall I would recommend seeing NSN- CDrew is a very talented songwriter and musician and plays a great harmonica, but was disappointed by how little songs where covered-after more than 5 albums, 1 hour of playing with a lot of chatting in between songs was disappointing to solid fans that have followed the band for years. Only 1 song played with Uke-too bad. It was nice to see the bands personalities-but much time wasted. Drinks were real weak, but bartender helpful .Getting there was easy but parking a bit tricky-go early. The venue itself was small, and with the band sitting on stools very chill the entire performance, it would have been nice to have seats for such a relaxed interactive show.

When Never Shout Never hit the stage, the energy was palpable. Most of the music was familiar and we all sang along, there was even a planned audience-participation portion. The banter was very entertaining, too. The vibes were excellent and every girl there was in love with Christofer. He's even cuter in person than in his photos.

Great show Chris was super nice, signed autographs and took pictures with everyone. Taylor and Hayden were so sweet! Basic vacation is an awesome band and they're definitely going places. Me like bees is an all time favorite. The band was so laid back and down to earth, some of the coolest guys I've met. Man overboard represented their home state! Great show!! It was a long, well worth wait to get inside of the Stone Pony on Saturday December 1st. Especially when the crowd was entertained by fans playing music, singing together, and getting visits from Hayden, Taylor, and Chris who were just walking around and passing through to go in and out of the pony for sound check. What was extremely incredible was throughout the whole night, I ran into all the members of all the bands (ME LIKE BEES WAS SUPERB) and got to casually chat, smoke cigarettes and take pictures- it was awesome. I traveled all the way from NYC to see NsN and Ican tell you Chris and the crew preformed their hearts out and were as energetic and happy as ever. I've seen all of them since they were like 17 and I've seen tons of performances over the years and I can tell you that this was my most favorite one! INDIGO TOUR WAS THE BEST :)

NeverShoutNever was great as per the usual. This was our 5th time seeing them live and again they had a great performance that was well worth the money. The opening act "Me Like Bees" was good and set the stage for a great and up tempo show. Then act number two came out "MOD SUN". For a crowd that's average age was 16, a "DJ" that sings about smoking weed being such a great thing isn't appropriate at all. Many of the parents around the venue looked appalled, and I myself though not a parent felt incredibly uncomfortable that all these kids who should be here to sing about love and peace for NSN were instead bouncing around for a group about illegal activities. Made the entire show really go down from a 5 star experience to average at best.

Fun concert - Chris Ingle is energetic yet cool; drew a largely female audience of high school and college age students. Definitely worth the $18.50 ticket price. Didn't play every song we wanted to hear, but most of them. Chris smoked onstage during the entire concert - he's going to ruin his awesome voice! Only reason for 4 stars is sound system at Clutch Cargo's was sometimes iffy - too much bass overpowering the singer at times.

The Harmony tour was truly amazing, it made for an unforgettable night. Not only was the venue itself (Best Buy Theater) completeing spacious and beautiful, but the bands were more than perfect. Both The Maine and Never Shout Never had great performances. I ve loved them both for over two years, and I never thought i would get the chance to see them both live at the same time.It would be an understatement to say they didnt disappoint me, they completely blew my expectations out of the water. All members of The Maine (Johno, Garrett, Jared, Kennedy, and Pat) have great stage presence and abilities. They played a great array of songs from their different albums, and though I wished their set list was a little bit longer they put on a great show and get everyone pysched up for Never Shout Never. When Cristofer came on stage, everyone was ecstatic (even though he was smoking....) and I was blown away by how he sounds just as amazing as he does on his albums. His voice was so pure and perfect, his band also did a great job supporting him and they definitely enhanced the show. Overall, the concert was full of great memories. The location was perfect, the people there were mostly very friendly teens/young adults, the sound quality was great, and the bands themselves put on truly unforgettable performances. I would drop out of school and spend every day of my life reliving that concert if I could. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys either The Maine or Never Shout Never (or any other band with similar sounds).

I attended the show and it is an experience i will never forget. The Maine is my favorite band and Seeing them live was a great experience they were full of energy and almost all of my favorite songs by them they played. Never shout Never also was a great band to see live both NSN and The Maine are amazing live you can tell Chris and John have really good voices because they sound amazing live. When NSN came on they got the crowd jumping for a second time. The Maine was my favorite of the night. Carter Hulsey also performed I wasnt extremly intersted in his music before the show but I am now I have fallen in love with his music. I can make a mess like nobody's business also did a good job. The energy in the room was intense. Everyone was having a good time and when Carter Husley started playing everyone took out there lighters and sang along. I can make a mess like no ones business was a one man show, according to him his band members were sick, still he did a great job! The Maine, got the crowed going and energized with great songs, and a bunch of screaming fans. The security, kept us safe and hydrated. :) Once, Cristofer Drew and The shout stepped out on stage the crowd went wild! so much screaming and all, he played a amazing set, he got everyone singing along and cheered up. I took amazing up close pictures.

Where to begin?!! This was an absolutely amazing evening! I went because of The Maine, one of my favorite bands. I ended up falling in love with Never Shout Never (though I had seen 'em at Warped Tour, etc., I never got into the music). What a great show NSN put on! Christopher Drew is quite amazing. Granted, I massively enjoyed The Maine... can't get enough of them! The only "con" is that The Maine didn't play long enough. I could have listened to them all night! The Warfield is a beautiful venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Enjoying all of the sites and sounds of San Francisco didn't hurt, either! All in all, it was one of the best evenings I've had in quite a while. My message to The Maine: "Please, please, baby come back"!!!

First on was The Bigger Lights. They started off the show in a good way. They were fun, up-beat and even though i never knew them before this it was amazing. Next was Great Big Planes. They were ok, but a little slow for my taste. Then was Ace Enders. Again it was slow, but when he started singing "Bring Back Love" that was great when everyone sung along. Last, but certainly not least, was Christofer Drew Ingle. I LOVE NEVERSHOUTNEVER! It was hands down the best part of the show. All in all the concert was amazing.

I've loved the band for years and was exciting for the opportunity to hear some of their best music from the first 3 EPs. Unfortunately the show consisted of 6 or 7 songs in which there was always a 3 minute gap between each. Also their mics were lower than usual so I believe I heard the crowds vocals more than their own. Kind of a disappointment live, probably would not pay to see them again.

No surprises here, he was completely amazing again! I saw him last time, about two years ago, when he came to newport with the ap tour and I enjoyed it just as much! The songs picked were great, even if they missed out on my favorite old ones, and he always manages to make me leave happy and wanting to change my life around. I missed the first two opening bands but rocket to the moon was fun! I didn't know all their songs but they made it up by playing covers that everyone could sing along with. Not to mention the extremely hot vegetarian guitarist in the plaid ;)

I took my daughter to this show after months of her begging me to take her. The venue was great. The room was perfect for the type of event. We were up close and personal with all of the performers. The opening acts were cool (there were 4 which did make the show longer than I expected) --and they progressively got better as we got to the main show. Plain White T's were awesome! The performers from many of the bands roamed through the crowd almost completely unnoticed to enjoy the rest of the concert. Never Shout Never was raunchier than I expected, although very entertaining. Even my daughter and her friends were a bit confused by the dirty remarks and talk of drugs and sex. This was a side of Christofer that they weren't familiar with. But they loved the show and had a fantastic time.

this is the second time I took my daughter to see never shout never... of course she loved it! it was good.. but the house of blues really should invest in opening up that top floor for the adults that have to stand there for 4 plus hours...

I went to the show in San Francisco and had an amazing time. We were at front row for the whole show. The first act Plug in Stereo had a lot of fan girl in the crowd, but were pretty OK to me. The secong act Carter Husley Band was really really good, a lot of the girl in the crowd weren't into them, but I was impress. Then, the third act A Rocket To The Moon put on an AMAZING preformance, and during their set, the guitar playing tossed me a guitar pic, but I missed it and he went and personaly handed me another one! And at the end of their set he tossed me a water bottle too. After their set, they went out to the merch tables for signings and pictures, which was pretty cool of them. Then finally, nevershoutnever came on, and of course, the crowd went crazy, after the first song Chris stuck his hand out into the crowd and grabbed my hand which made my night. Even though he didnt't play his whole planned set he put on an amazing preformance. After the show, me, my friends, and two other girls met the opening acts at their tour buses and by luck, got to meet Chris at his tour bus after he didn't want to do any signings for the VIP people and I expected him to be a bit mean like people say he is, but he was a totally sweetheart and he gave me the biggest hug ever. He was also pretty funny. All in all, amazing show with great preformances.

i used to really love never shout never but didn't really want to go to the show until i saw never shout never's setlist. he was playing all of his really old songs and i was excited to hear them live. all the bands did great. then, nevershoutnever went on and he like remixed all of his old songs and ruined them. i came to hear his old songs not his remix.

My daughters are big Christopher Drew fans. One daughter became a vegetarian because of him. When they heard he was coming to Starland Ballroom they were thrilled. I got them the vip tickets at $100 a pop. They were eager to meet them, so they got there and waited in line at 11:00. When they finally got in, I found out Christopher Drew, didn't even sing, just did instrumentals. No pictures. He was too hung over from the night before. Then during the show, it was so packed, my one daughter got elbowed right in the cheast by a huge girl and pushed her out of her front row spot, also knocked the wind out of her. There was also a fight in the parking lot after the event because of the hats he threw back into the audience. They didn't go back to their owners, which was not his fault, but a gang of kids, corned the couple who got their hat and threatened them in the parking lot. I was much happier with the other bands that played that night, I think the whole vip package was a rip off. So much for Christopher Drews love of his fans, it all comes down to the almighty buck. Too many opening bands.

The openers were amazing i purchased tow albums form the second band. Plain white t's put on a good show but Never Shout Never! took the show. The only downfall was the hundreds of little girls pushing the whole concert -__-

The show was awesome! Each bands performance was unforgettable!! The only thing I wasn't happy about was how pushy & violent the crowd was. The lack of proper security at the Starland has been an ongoing problem. I was literraly hit in the head by a huge Sharpie marker & am left with a bump & pain. In addition to this I was punched in the back by some boy & I have a big black & blue from it. I am a 16 year old girl & was raised that knowing that boys should not hit girls but apparantly this boy was raised by barbarians. Oh Well, Karma will get him I'm sure :)

Had my doubts about seeing them since I was taking my teenage daughter. Actually not at all what I expected-band was good, they played tight and Christopher Drew was very entertaining to watch. Although I couldn't understand his lyrics he was still good.

Overall, the concert was great. Carter Husley came out first and warmed up the crowd, then Fake Problems came next and they really connected with the crowd by talking to us and making us laugh and scream louder. A Rocket to the moon was awesome too and the lead singer sounded really good live. They covered free fallin which got everyone excited! Plain White T's was incredibly energetic and I enjoyed them so much I thought about seeing them again. Then of course, Nevershoutnever came out and it was amazing! I think it was a good concert bc it was affordable and there were a lot of performances. I had a blast

I've been a fan of never shout never for over a year and a half and I've been waiting forever to see them live. I finally got to see them and it was just amazing. Not only was nsn amazing, so were the other bands. I absolutely loved it. All the band members were just so nice. I was at the very front so Chris kept coming in front of me. He gave us water and reached his hand. He also wore a hat someone threw which was nice. He was so happy jumping around and smiling. I really enjoyed it. Then after they were done playing, the crowd asked for one more song and they came back out and played it!
