Triad College Music Festival

The overall show was a hot mess. Understandable, it was a college show but the crowd was very rowdy. People who has tickets in the stands rushed to the stage, impacting the view of people who actually paid for floor seats. It was very annoying. And the people working security tried the best they could, but they were understaffed and overworked for this event. Girls overly drunk, passing out and throwing up on patrons beside them. This is my first time attending the Triad College Music Festival, and I'm pretty sure it'll be my last. No matter who the performers are. August put on a decent show, but ILOVEMAKKONEN and Dej Loaf were nothing special to me.

FFS put on an Awesome show! They performed many FFS songs as well as some Franz Ferdinand and Sparks songs. They were full of energy, engaged the crowd and got the words to their songs right, lol! We bought our tickets at full price well in advance and the show was worth every penny paid! Alex and Nick did a great job of working the crowd with eye contact while they were performing. Russel is entertaining with his hand motions to go with the songs. And Ron with his straight face, never cracking a smile except when he dances. Just an Amazing show. We followed it up with greeting them out back after the show which was a great experience in itself.

I have been a follower of Iyanla since the days of Aaron Davis Hall, she was powerful then and more so powerful now. I wish my InnerVision sisters and brother was there with me. To be a follower, you must have a good leader, that she is. I left feeling more determined to love my sisters, regardless of past situations and circumstances, we need each other. I want to be just like her when I grow up.

She was fantastic! A brief but powerful set, she performed much of her new material that we haven't laid ears on yet; you have to respect a performer with the guts to do that.
