My wife & I attended two Mississippi RiverKings hockey games over their season opening weekend. The Landers Center has undergone some changes since we last visited, most notably new lighting in the arena space that makes visibility in the seating areas as well as of the ice surface much better for the fan. The seats are comfortable with adequate leg room. The seating areas & the concourses are all kept very clean, there is a variety of concession items for sale, and the arena staff & team staff members are all very friendly. The ice arena is just a portion of the complex, so we had a few moments of confusion in navigating to & from where we parked each night (be sure to note your entrance on arrival). But both visits were enjoyable & the home team won them both.

We sat next to the penalty box and the seats were top notch. You could see the entire rink. You could also see the emcee do his promotional spills whichever was neat. The organization kept the energy going during timeouts and periods with music/fan interaction. An overall great time for families, friends or a date.

The Mississippi Riverkings put on a great show Friday night. The lineup has changed, and they have changed to the Southern Professional Hockey League. Concessions and ticket prices are reasonable. Lots of between period entertainment. Fun for everyone. My husband and I really enjoyed some cold beers and exciting hockey. Something different and wonderful!

Had a great time at the game. Was not expecting to see a fight in the first 10 seconds after initial faceoff! Stadium was empty - probably since it was New Years Eve, but had an excited crowd. Very entertaining team and nice, clean venue to watch hockey. Compared to an NHL game, concessions were a bargain. It was my family's second time to see a game here and would definitely come back.

Enjoyed the game even though we lost. It is the first Riverking's game we've attended. We bought the family 4 pack. The tickets were great, not really a bad seat anywhere.. Only trouble was redeeming the cokes and hotdogs that came with the tickets. We had to walk to the other side of the arena since it was the only place where we could use the coupons. We were about 7th in line with 6 minutes to go in the first intermission. We missed the first 8 minutes of the 2nd period, and 2 goals, waiting for our food. I guess we learned to go during play rather than between periods. Wish the food service was faster. Other than that, we had a good time. Team needs to win more to attract more fans. Will probably go again. People working the game were very friendly.

Took my wife and daughter to their first hockey game and they are fans. Sat next to the team bench and the equipment manager gave my daughter a puck that landed in the bench area. She said it was her best time ever.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game; even though we lost. The only thing I didn't like was where we were seated. I know I picked the seats, but I didn't realize our field of vision would be impaired like it was. We really couldn't see the opposite goal from where we were, but I loved the section and being that close to the ice was really cool. Next time I will get seats a little higher so we can see the whole rink.

I purchased tickets for my family for an early Valentine's Gift. This was all of our first experience with Hockey and we LOVED it. So much action and excitement! We were seated right behind the penalty box and a puck flew over the wall into it and one of the players tossed it out on the youngest in our group; he was so excited to get a puck! Everyone at the Desoto center was so nice & helpful. The venue is small enough that ever seat is a good seat, except for the size of the seats - very small like most venues so if you don't like having someone sit in your lap I recommend purchasing an extra seat then you have space to spread out without having someone on top of you :) We plan to attend another game in the very near future.

Took my 12 year old grandson and we got next to plexiglass....loud, slamming and smashing good time. Pucks whizzing by just below glass and grandson jumping with excitement! He loved it and I loved doing it for him! Would love to do it more but for the cost, it had to be a "special" treat!

The game was great and Dumont was on fire. I took my 10 year old son and 12 year old nephew to thier first game and this was a good one. They both had an amazing time and are looking forward to the next game. I thought the Teddy Bear night was a very cool idea.

Took my wife for her birthday since she loves hockey and so I got tickets in the front row. It was awesome when they would hit the glass right in front of you. This was a great venue to see a hockey game. The only bad thing was the home team lost and the seats were right next to the pentaly box which obstructed the view of the other end, but you were sitting as close as you can to a player when they were in the pentaly box.

The surge was in 8th place, the "Kings" 4th and all the stats showed why - their home and away records were both worse than the 'Kings, as was their goals scored and goals allowed. YET, in every important phase of the game - speed, passing, team play, hustle, defense, scoring - they outplayed the Kings. This wasn't a fluke, no luck involved. The Surge simply more attractive/exciting to watch. Can't begin to say how disappointed my wife and I were.

Great evening out with family watching the Mississippie Riverkings. Seats were great. 2 rows from the "ice" and next to pentalty box. It was awesome! Lots of fights during the game, you could really get into all the action from these seats.

My first visit to Landers Center, and I was very impressed with the facility (parking, access, concourse) & with the game-day staff (very friendly). The acoustics were good inside the arena space. The crowd was enthusiastic and pretty knowledgeable of the teams & of hockey. The skating was much faster than what we saw the previous night in Knoxville, which made the game more entertaining. Unfortunately, the hometown RiverKings just couldn't keep up for 60 minutes with their rival Surge. But it was a fun evening of hockey.

I enjoy the evening they won, saw three fights toward the end part of the game. Only down size to this night event,it was promoted as a sing out.. I only saw one quiz game on music. and that it. the promotion was a failure. need do better work on their promotion theme.

Great fun! Getting in and out of the event was a breeze. Locating the seat was a snap thanks to the usher. A little confusion locating the will call desk but all went well. The beverages were not overloaded with ice like at most places!

We try to attend as many games a year as possible and hope to see Fukala whooping up on someone (or any of our other favorite players). The score was 2-2 against the Ice Flyers at the end of the 3rd period. No score after 5 mins of OT. Shoot out ended with the Ruverkings loss by 1 goal after both teams about exhausted all their players with no goals. Despite the loss, this was the best game we have seen to date. Go Riverkings!!!

paid $30 + each for 4 tickets behind the penalty box.......the people in the penalty box are the rudest people. they kept the door open which just puts another piece of metal in view of the rink. when i asked them to close it they just looked and me and went on about their business. this was the first time for us to go to a hockey game. we will try it again but i will defnitely get different seats.

All in all the game was awsome. I took my brother as a surprise and even though he is a hard core Nashville Preditors fan he loved every minute of it. Plus it was close to home, only a 45 minute drive to Mississippi from Arlington, TN. I would recommend a Riverkings game to people of all ages.

We attended what was our kids' first hockey game, and they loved it. It was a good atmosphere, we had great seats that weren't excessively expensive and the workers we encountered were quite helpful. The game itself was high paced and fun to watch. I wish they would have hit the St. Patrick's Day theme a bit harder, but we loved the green uniforms. We will now add Riverkings hockey to our annual list of things we want to do. We are two hours away, so we also spent time at the outlet mall that's a mile or two away.

Landers Center is the BEST! The employees were friendly and helpful and approachable. When my husband lost his wallet, the employee went out of her way to find us and contact us. We live a few hours away and were ready to cancel accounts, etc. when they called. Oh-and it was my, my son's and his girlfriend's first hockey game...it was AMAZING. It is our new favorite sport and we will definitely come back to Landers to watch again.

This ws my first time to see a hockey game and it was FUN! I figured I would see a fight while at the game but never imagined it would be a few seats over. The hockey game was amazing though, these guys are great ice skaters and played well. The audience really gets into cheering for the RiverKings. The staff was great also, we had a minor seat issue and the staff took care of the situation. Over all it was a pleasant evening.

This was by far the best game I have been to all year. The Riverkings did great!!! They need to hire new refs tho, bc the ones that have are horrible. The goalie kept trying to trip our guy that was in front of him and the ref just watched but it wasn't until our guy pushed the goalie down that he did something and we got a penalty for it. The refs are garbage and need to be fired and replaced!!!

I'm a BIG hockey fan, this was my daughter's 1st time. What a great venue/game to take her too. Lot's of action, great fan energy, etc...Ticket prices and concessions were very budget friendly. If you've never gone to a game this is a great way to start!

Had a good time even though the Riverkings got crushed. Had to move twice from our seats due to these extendable horns at the merchandise booth for kids. The problem is that parents don't control their kids and let them hit the people in front of them and blow the horn in their ears. These things should no longer be sold. On another note, you cannot understand anything the house announcer says over the sound system.

Hadn't been to a Riverkings game in a few years. Found a game at home this past Saturday night, bought two tickets off of Ticketmaster. Got to pick my seats. We had a great time! Concessions weren't overly priced. Lots of action on the ice. We will be back.

We had awesome seats right next to the RiverKings entrance. It was the best experience for my 2 seven year old boys. They had a blast! The players were all sweethearts to my boys. We will definitely be going back.

We really enjoy taking the kids to see the RiverKings play hockey. It's close to home and always able to get good affordable seats.

Took my sister and friend to their first hockey game and it was amazing! Great seats and the Riverkings played hard and won the game! She wants to come back soon!
