was so looking forward to see ALANIS MORISSETTE at the paramount but was really disappointed with the quality of the sound, she put on a great show but sitting in upper mezz ($65.00) we could not here her words at all to any of the songs, at first i thought it was me but checked with peps to left and right and they said the same thing! also got a jerkey bartender at bar, for 12.00 a drink a little friendly service would be nice.

Took my wife for our Anniversary because she was a big fan of the Jagged Little Pill album..... Had a great time !!!! She played all the faves....which was really great.....but her voice was 100% and the band was phenomenal !!!! Been a long time since I've seen a bassist and drummer that were so brutually perfect.......Glad I went too instead of sending my wife with one of her friends......lol

Well worth the wait! Great show! Lots of energy. Magnificent performance. The Beau is a fantastic venue for concerts. No seats are bad. And generally, the crowds don't stand up as much. The low key venue makes for a nice change every now and then.

The Alanis show at Wente Vineyards was not advertised as an acoustic show, and it was extremely disappointing to pay in excess of $300 per ticket for s show that was not a full band. It's highly misleading to consumers to not advertise the show as acoustic.

We had high expectations for a great show with Alanis Morissette. She gave a vibe that she was not happy to be playing for this concert. She sat on a chair and never stood up a single time during the show. She hardly spoke in between songs and instead just spent 30 seconds between each song drinking water. I was so disappointed with this performance and would never spend the money to see her again.

I wish I would've known she was going to be doing an acoustic concert when we bought the tickets because we wouldn't have bought them. Alanis is an amazing singer and songwriter and she still is, however her songs were not meant to be acoustic. They were sung so slow that they were a downer. We couldn't sing along with a lot of them, it was very boring and we were looking forward to hearing her jams. I am a big fan of hers and know all of her songs by heart. I wish I could give a better review. :( However the weather was perfect, our seats were great, and I was with my husband so it was still a nice night out.

Alanis's voice has held up over the years incredibly well. She was fantastic, The only bad thing was the first half of the show due to the sound mixing, not her. The guitars were too high, while her vocals were too low. This kept you from really hearing her amazing voice. But, once that got fixed it was truly a great, great show. She is personable, funny, kind and incredibly talented.

The whole event felt magical from the food to the performer. I have been wanting to see Alanis for a long time now. I caught her at a seminar called "Wake Up San Francisco" a few years ago and it was an amazing interview. She did sing a few songs, but I definitely wanted to see her in concert. So when I saw it hit my email, I snagged the best tickets I could find. Let me tell you, this venue is a LOT smaller and more intimate than the photos which I love. I was in the second row from the front. The food and the hosts were simply fantastic, no really. It was amazing.

I've been to many concerts, but never at the Mahaffey Theater. It was in a beautiful spot with ocean views, next to a cool museum with interesting architecture. The inside was beautiful, with cool canvas photography everywhere of celebrities like Elvis and Rodney Dangerfield and ballet dancers and circuses etc. They had really good food and coffee drinks and beer, liquor, and wine. Great views and cool leather benches and high top tables and chairs. Then the actual theater was amazing and beautiful, with historical character. Then ALANIS performed and was amazing! It was intimate and acoustic concert. She looked beautiful and sounded amazing! She chatted with the audience! She sang many of her best songs. We would definitely love to see her again!

The show was called "intimate and acoustic" and it was! I felt like I was watching her perform in the local coffee shop. Alanis' talent is as strong as ever and she reminded with lots of tracks from Jagged Little Pill. She offered a bit of chatting to the audience... Just enough to give you some insight into some of the songs and enough to introduce you to Alanis the person not just Alanis the performer. It was evident she had a bit of a sore throat when she was talking but it didn't affect her performance once. She is a trooper!! Anyway, I love Alanis and this was my first chance to see her. Wood drop any amount of money to see her again in a heartbeat!

Alanis was just amazing! Her voice has so many different ranges and it is real not recorded and doctored up! The show was acoustic and her harmonica playing was just so moving and natural I really got caught up with the mood of the whole show! Also she is very funny as between songs she gave us background information on the songs she wrote and personal insights it was very very personal, she is quite humorous! Loved it!

Souleye had uplifting lyrics, your basic rap format. He needed more stage presence, witch could be achieve with backup dancers and singers. The genre differance did not seam to mesh with audiance, not many people were gettting into Souleye. The show would have been better and more effective to promote Souleye, if Alanis would have opened the show with a band that matched her genre, then cameod Souleye to a warmed audiance. Alanis you are awesome and we are happy that you married and have a beautfil child. Keep making music, Gauridan Angel is a perfect song for this time. Cheers

Alanis Morissette put on quite a show at The Ryman in Nashville on October 26, 2012. Her in-person sound, the emotion she puts into her song performances, is truly AMAZING!!! Everyone should see her perform live. And, The Ryman--what a combination. "Wait while I Liberate"... This performance had it all--emotion, sound, lights, atmosphere, and an amazing, true, artist. My first Alanis concert was excellent in the Ryman venue. I was totally pissed that she was 1-1/2 hour late and we had to watch her husband rap while we waited for the Grammy award winning songwriter. We then had another 30 minute gap waiting on her after him. Excellent concert, great songs. She left out 4 of my favorite songs, Underneath, Uninvited, Thank you and Everything. But in a Grammy venue with a Grammy artist in the Music City, it's all good.

I could never dislike a performance by Alanis Morissette. I love her lyrics, love all her songs, she's an absolute performer on stage. The sound quality was spectacular. We stood on the balcony and had a perfect view of the stage until someone who had purchased the reserved seats decided they wanted to stand instead. Right before the show started he stood directly in my view, making it very difficult to see. By that time it was too late for us to move, as everyone else was packed in. But, I enjoyed seeing her at this more intimate venue much more than when I saw her at the Lyric in Baltimore in 2008. We could barely see her from the nosebleeds there. I disagree that Souleye should be opening for her, as most Alanis fans do not like rap music and I didn't see a single person who enjoyed his performance.

I have been wanting to take my wife to see Alanis perform for many years now and the opportunity finally presented itself. I purchased the upgraded ticket which included 3rd row center seats, dinner and overnight accommodations. The dinner, room and show were AWESOME! Alanis was noticeably uncomfortable on stage for a while but she settled in and did a great job. To her defense it was her first show on the tour so I am sure she was working out the cob webs. My wife and I connected with her vulnerability on stage and found it very sweet as she seemed to be a down to earth artist that truly cares about her fans. She capped the evening by coming back for not one, not two, but three encore performances. THANK YOU ALANIS FOR AN AMAZING SHOW!! We would love to see you perform again in a small intimate acoustic only venue.

This was an intimate and acoustic show of hers. I have seen her many times, but can say with confidence this is the best she has looked and sounded. She is an incredible artist and exudes confidence and serenity. Grateful I got to see her and still can't believe it's been 20 years since the release of Jagged Little Pill!

The setting for this performance was perfect! Alanis and her 2 guitarists were wonderful! Her sitting in a chair and singing to the audience was like having her in your living room! Her voice was very melodic ! Loved the venue and her! Wish it was longer!

Alanis Morissette always gives a stellar performance; however, this was a horrible venue to play an acoustic show at. There were assigned seating, which was fine, but then the venue threw in standing room as well. The crowd in SRO were loud, very loud. While she was being "intimate" about her songs, you couldn't hear a single word she was saying. Even during some of the songs it was hard to hear. A show like this deserves better than a SRO section. In my opinion, had there not been one this show would've been awesome, but Hard Rock did Alanis a great injustice with there ticketing to this show.

I really wish the sound was louder. I was standing right behind the gentlemen that were doing sound and I couldn't hear what Alanis was saying between songs. I wouldn't recommend a concert at the Maine State Pier to anyone.

Alanis sounded great and her musicians (2 acoustic guitarists) were top notch. She covered all the expected hits, and included anecdotes about how songs were inspired, touring, dealing with record companies, etc. If I had to deduct any points, it would be for song selection. She has 20 yr catalog and she played 8 songs from Jagged Little Pill. Would've liked to have heard more from her more recent releases. If memory serves me correctly, for example, only "Everything" from So-Called Chaos, only "Guardian" from Havoc and Bright Lights, and nothing from Flavors of Entanglement.

Alanis did an acoustic show, sang solo seated in a chair while two acoustic guitarists accompanied her. A great idea, but she didn't pull it off as well as she could have. For the first 5-6 numbers I can only describe her as loudly braying out the lyrics. Fortunately, she settled down and began to deliver the songs in a softer mode that fit the background more, and showed that she can really sing well. The majority of the audience seemed to be more hardcore fans than I am, as their loud shouts and interactions proved that they love her, and in their eyes can do no wrong.

I was completely entertained at the Alanis concert. I would see her 100 times over. The venue was great, the sound was perfect. I do have 2 general comments. For the price, I think that 90 minutes was pretty short. On the promotion page for concerts it did say 8pm-12am. Also, I would have liked to have seen a larger variety of her music. Nothing from her Havoc and Bright lights album which was disappointing. All in all, great show and I would go again.
