From the moment the play began, we felt as though we were immersed in the African experience. The rhythmic sounds of the conga drums combined with the tribal patterned costumes all provided a certain authenticity to the experience! This show is a must-see for everyone, regardless of whether or not they ve seen the film adaptation of The Lion King!

The music, the color, and setting was amazing. Great songs and dance. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to see an entertaining musical. This is the one. Also, check out the mezzanine level, great seats that we had for the show. No bad seat in the house.

I loved the movie and didn't think that it could be topped, until I saw it on Broadway! The music, the costumes, the imagery was absolutely amazing. I couldn't help but hum along to the music. The cast did an outstanding job and should be commended. This is a must see for those who love Disney and for those who just want to go out and enjoy top notch singing, dancing and story line. I highly recommend it.

The Lion King on Broadway was absolutely amazing. My family including in-laws, a 6 year old girl, a 13 year old boy, my husband and I all LOVED it. The costumes, music, and story kept you glued to the stage. This was our first trip to New York and we knew we wanted to see a Broadway show. This show did not disappoint, in fact it made us all want to see another Broadway show.

Excellent all the way around. The costumes and settings were awesome. When I saw the size of stage, I was thinking that they could not do much with the small stage. But trust me, they used all of the stage. It was awesome!

The show itself was a spectacular experience! Unbelievable costumes and excellent acting. The main actor playing grown up Simba was stunning; athletic with a superb voice. The only distressing factor, was that part of the audience kept takling throughout the performance. Maybe people to be educated as to how to behave in a theatre, i.e. keep quiet during the play?

This was my second time seeing the Lion King and it did not dissappoint. This time I brought my niece, her boyfriend and my sister. They were all equally amazed. We had a fabulous time. The house was filled with kids who seemed to all love the experience. As soon as the music started, there was a hush in the crowd. Even the smallest among them, sensed something special was about to happen. Julie Taybor deserves a Tony every year this show runs, if that were possible. It is a graceful genious that surrounds the audience throughout the entire show. Brava!

The opening production number said it all as elephants and other exotic african animals danced down the aisles and made their way to the stage. It simply set the tone for the best show on earth. Definitely worth seeing! It was our first visit to NYC for my daughter and I, we are looking to come back. Not only for the NYC experience but because she wants to see Lion King again. A first time broadway experience where our memories will last a lifetime!!!

I loved almost every aspect of the show - the music was wonderful, dancing fascinating, costumes and set were breathtaking. I have one small complaint though - there was an implication of profanity and while I am not prudish, I felt that a children's show was not the place for that. Overall - a highly enjoyable show.

This was the first Broadway show we have seen, and I can't imagine a better production to be introduced to Broadway by!! It far exeeded our expectations, and I can't say enough about the music and the costumes. Sometimes you get chills when you experience something so spectacular, but in this case, it was more of an emotional experience and it literally brought tears to my eyes at times. I can't wait to see it again some day.

The highlight of our family vacation was attending The Lion King. Obviously we had seen the movie back in the 90s and it was hard to imagine how Broadway would put on their rendition. Absolutely every aspect was spectacular -- from the moment that the actors first appeared throughout the Minskoff theater, to their grand parade down the aisles, to the story of Mustaffa and Simba -- The staging was beyond imaginative, the actors (from youngest to more seasoned) excellent. The renovated Minskoff theater was the idea location. Our seats in the third row were exquisite. We have had many Broadway experiences through the years, but this one was tops. Thanks to everyone on the team who made it a reality.

My girls and I had to choose one musical to see on Broadway, and from what we had heard of the Lion King, we thought it would give us the most bang for our buck. We were not disappointed. Most well known shows have one show stopping moment, such as Phantom of the Opera with the swinging chandelier, or Cats with the rise to the Heaviside Layer. Lion King is one amazing visual spectacle after another. The costume design is stunning, and the frequently changing set with dramatic lighting effects is continuous throughout the show. The Lion King has a deeply satisfying and classic story of heroic fall and redemption, a great villain, and plenty of comic relief from Zaszu, Timon and Pumba, Rafiki the monkey, and the trio of hyenas. Some of the newly added songs which do not appear in the movie version are not that memorable, but certainly don't detract from the experience.

As a New Yorker who has seen many Broadway shows in my lifetime I have to say The Lion King ranks up there with the best of the best. It is an extravaganza of visual delights. The costumes, scenery, story line and music is pure perfection. Do not think that this musical is only for kids as adults will love it as well. My adult son and I saw this over Mother's Day weekend on Saturday night and there were not too many children in the audience. This show will satisfy everyone and go beyond anything imaginable in its magic and amazement! We sat in row P (about 15 rows from stage) and had aisle seats which was perfect for seeing the parade of characters coming down the aisle throughout the performance. Ticket prices were expensive for the Orchestra seats but well worth every penny. You will not be disappointed...you will be blown away!

I was impressed that you could get an alcoholic drink AND bring it into the theater. The only drawback of the venue was how cramped the seats were - we were literally on top of one another! :-(

I liked some parts of the show especially the opening and closing songs, the costumes, the music and the flying birds. But for someone like me, who I must say loves The Lion King movie since he was a young boy, who knows it word for word and know where all the emphasis should be, the Broadway show s performance was a little disappointing. Older Simba played by Jelani Remy overacted in a scene which was meant to be sad and meaningful resulted being unconvincing. Scar s performance was a drag for the most part. I guess if you re doing a show everyday over and over it takes some spark away. That was the case of most of the performers except one. Older Nala played by Adrienne Walker who really nailed her role. She even sounds like Nala in the movie which was a nice coincident. Lastly, why are we including the Frozen music in this. Some may not agree but like I mentioned before, for someone who is a die hard fan of the movie, hearing Frozen music was not appreciated. Overall I am glad I came to see. I would recommend it to someone who is just there to enjoy a Broadway show, but for someone who will be expecting to relive their childhood, you have been warned.

Person to person he helped me with all tickets, mezzanine and my budget even included dinner pre-theater. Greatest Show on Earth! We re still singing . Superb organization at theater. Bucket List checked off!!!! Just a remarkable night. BTW, my grands are now 22, 19, 16. Worth every minute of wait - Thank You!!!!!!

The Lion King is my favorite Disney movie, and the live show did not disappoint. The performers delivered a great show and it was so much fun seeing all of the animals "come to life" on stage and through the aisles. I would definitely recommend this show to adults, kids, teenagers, etc. My husband and I loved it.

My son is 4 and is obsessed with The Lion gaurd which is a new show now with Kion (Simbas son) so as a treat we came to watch the Broadway show and he was in awe!! The show was amazing for the both of us and a memory we will always cherish

There are not enough words to describe how inspiring and breathtaking this broadway show is. This was my second time watching the show. The first time I went was in 2010. I went with a group of other teens from my high-school. It was my first ever broadway show.Watching it as an adult and with my significant other who has never seen it before was a whole other experience. No matter how young or old, The Lion King captivates everyone in the room. There was a baby crying a few rows behind me as the lights went down. Once the music began, the scared crys rom the baby stopped. It's a magical experience.

Minskiff Theater, Sunday 1pm show was terrific. We went 15 yrs ago in NYC and 12 yrs ago in FL and each was excellent! This is my favorite show of all. The opening act with the celebration of Baby Zumba just brought me to tears each time! I would recommend this show for sure!

Words can not describe how good this show was. Perfect seating position along with an absolutely fantastic show all round. Worth every penny Perfect choice for my first ever musical. Highly recommend , a must see if you happen to be staying in New York and visiting Time Square.

I have to admit I went there expecting a professional, but cold experience. As in no emotions and just doing it to be paid. Honestly I was blown away! It was obvious each of the actors enjoy themselves and have the ability to draw the crowd in, leaving us quite satisfied. Each scene had me going through an emotional experience laughing, crying and singing. I would gladly recommend anyone to see this musical at least once! It was enchanting, spectacular and overall moving experience. With an obviously African theme, it was surprising and jarring at times as it was unexpected. Thank you to the cast and producers for your obvious hard work and passion!

From the beginning of the show you really get taken back in time. I'm in my mid 20s so was a young girl when the cartoon was released. The first scene brought tears to my eyes simply because it was a beautiful reminder of my childhood and the cartoons I grew up with. I hope to see others like Aladin and many more during my next travel overseas. I'm from Papua New Guinea so we don't get many shows, the closest would be in Australia but the variety is nothing compared to Broadway. Generally seating in most places allow you a good view of the show so don't be too worried. I would even suggest sitting further away to really appreciate the colors and choreography efforts. The show was a tad bit too long for me personally but I'd say for those who like to get their money's worth they won't be disappointed. A must for the 90s kids to watch!

This show was amazing from the minute they opened the show. It was breath taking and even some parts had me in tears. It was put together so beautifully and all the hard work and details showed throughout the play. I will DEFINITELY BE seeing this play again. They've got me hooked!! We even got to meet the actor that played Simba. AMAZING!!
