Wicked (Chicago)

This was my fourth time seeing Wicked and it's still has never let me down!! It was my girlfriend's first time seeing Wicked and she was amazed... And with that said.. we also got engaged underneath the marquee outside the Oriental Theater in Chicago Great show...Great times... and lasting memories!!!

Fun and entertaining, storyline with a cute twist which made it intresting. Great date night with family and friends.

Grand daughter loved every minute of it. Great experience. Terrific set and cast

I cannot believe it took me this long to see Wicked. It is such a beautiful production, fantastic and creative story, funny characters and lines, emotional story, and such a relatable theme. This is one of few productions I would see over again.

Fantastic cast and incredible music. If you're a fan of the Wizard of Oz, you will love this story.

Wicked on Halloween was an outstanding time. Great seats and a great performance. I enjoyed some of the changes from the last time I saw it 10 years ago.

This was my first time to see this performance and it was brilliant. The storyline was cool and creative and I even think that the storyline would describe some real life relationships. The cast was just amazing and their performance was breathtaking and at times, it almost moved me to tears. I definitely want to see this again.

Took my daughter to see this for her 21st birthday. We had 2nd row seats with the suite service add on. The Oriental Theatre is a stunningly rehabbed show palace and the perfect venue for this show! The staff are super friendly...my only complaint is the vestibule is tiny and people get cramped in there before they allow you into the lobby. The suite service add on is nice...you get access to a lower level area with private bathrooms, a closet for your coay, an open bar with a nice barmaid, and they have mini sammies and veggies to munch Plus, you get to take your drinks into the theatre. At intermission you have more drinks and dessert bars like apple and pumpkin squares....now the production! Phenomenal! The steam punk sets! The live orchestra! John Davidson as the Wizard! Kim Zimmer as Madame Morrible! Plus Alison Luff as a great Elphaba...sort of looked like Demi Moore but put her own spin and didnt try to channel Idina Menzel. The standout was Jenn Gambatese as Glinda! She was funny and delightful and really added dimension to Glinda. The whole experience was worth every penny! My favorite part, other than spending time with my daughter, eas when the man next to me saw I was crying ( this show makes me cry every time) and he hugged me and said "I cry every time too!"

There is not a bad seat in the house at the Oriental Theatre. Allison Nash, Jenn Gambaltese and the rest of this Wicked cast were the best and most cohesive cast that I have seen yet.

Amazing cast and the music was really fantastic. Loved the set design and costumes kept my eyes fixed to the stage in awe! Loved it....

Finally got to see Wicked after 10 years on Broadway. Better than I imagined and I have a great imagination. Would recommend to everyone of all ages because of it's entertainment range. Funny and educational as we enter into the world of good and not so bad after all. Learn to treat each other with respect and kindness. Many of the spectators have said they enjoy the show Wicked over and over an over again. The music and stage is fantastic. Loved it!

The music was great the stage acting was on point. Funny, sad, joyous, and clever.

The show was great! Being a guy that doesn't typically do the musical thing I was surprized how many time I found myself laughing out loud!

I have seen Wicked 8 times and can't wait to see it again. The story line is about love and friendship. You will laugh and you will cry. It is filled with fantasy and wonder! The music is beautiful and inspiring. Just go see it!

Everything you would expect and want from a great play is found in Wicked. It was dramatic and funny with amazing actors and singing. I m so happy i finally got a chance to see it this year. It was well worth the money and I had awesome seats (orc-r row c, seat 8)

Everything was on point, I was in awe from beginning to end with the acting, costumes, singing, stage changes, special effects and the moving story line.

My husband and I went to see Wicked on 01/20/2018. I had seen Wicked once before and have been listening to the soundtrack for years. My husband had never seen it. The performance was even better than I remembered, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed himself. He said he would do it again anytime (and he isn't a very huge fan of theater)! Can't wait to see it again!

I had low expectations going into this play, and there were met.

It was very nice. Nothing more nothing less. It was cute, not very thoughtful just a nice afternoon out.

My first time going to this theater, and it was an amazing experience. The show was amazing and the theater is beautiful.

If you are a Broadway fan this show will disappoint! Don't waste your money on this event, go see something else

I have been wanting to see this. Finally was able to. It was a wonderful show. Loved the music, dancing, lightening, costumes, choreography and especially the actors. It was a first class production.

This was an INCREDIBLE production! Elphaba was MAGNIFICENT! The costumes were beautiful! We enjoyed our night immensely!

Great venue, beautiful costumes, amazing stage production. Must watch for all ages.

Amazing time was really great!! Last time i saw it, was years ago

I ve seen Wicked 3 times now and this one was just as great as the other two. The same great story, music, and set, with some fun updates such as steampunk costumes and Elpheba and Glinda s own unique styles.

We have seen Wicked numerous times now and the show never ceases to amaze and keep me engaged. Each new cast member adds their own little quirks to the character to leave them unforgettable. Mary was by far one of the best Elphaba s I have ever seen. She put so much emotion into her part, she will stand out in my mind for years to come. Her eyes were so intense along with her facial features, she didn't need to say a word to know what she was truly feeling. We were excited to have a Broadway star, Michael Campayno, be in our show to portray Fiyero as he had done on Broadway. However, shortly into his introduction we found his ability to portray such a part lacking. We were 4th row orchestra center and it didn't seem his voice, even with a mic, was reaching much past our row. Certain songs you have come to expect and to change the keys completely, basically making it a different song just to fit the musician. His acting ability was above average but his voice left me wanting. This will not detour me from seeing this show again but hopefully with a different Fiyero in his place.

I thought this performance was incredible. This is the 2nd time I have seen Wicked, the first a couple of years ago and it too was great however for some reason this performance was even better. I have 2 granddaughters and we do go to the shows a couple times a year or more.and Wicked appeals to everyone.it is not just kids. If you haven't seen it, please try to catch it when it comes around next year and I promise you will not be disappointed!

Third time seeing. Some changes in the scenes. This time, I focused on the costumes and scenery. There is so much talent "behind the scenes."

It was amazing. The acting as well as singing was clear and perfect. It was my 3rd time seeing it and I was still in aw watching it.

Bought tickets for myself & husband. Was worried my husband might not enjoy. I was so wrong, my husband was drawn from the beginning. We have both been raving about the whole production since. Totally great show! Would definately see it again & take more family members.

That was the best performance i have seen. It is a little pricey but worth it.

This was my first my first musical and it was a great one! I couldn't believe how amazing the wicked witch's voice was! I had a wonderful time and would definitely see it again!

I read the book prior to seeing this show, I knew the premise of the story line. Two of my family members were confused with some of the play. I thought it was wonderful, the singing amazing and we all laughed throughout the play.

Wicked was amazing! I loved the music and the storyline had several surprises. The details in the costumes were magnificent! I can t wait to go see it again!

As a long term fan of the musical it met my expectations

I bought my 13 year old daughter tickets for her birthday so we were both very excited! We got to the theater and the tallest man I ve ever seen sat in front of me. I asked the house manager if I could pay the difference to sit elsewhere as there were many empty sections (shown in my picture) and I was told NO. I d have to buy all new tickets since I purchased through Ticketmaster. So after watching half the show with my head on my daughters shoulder so I could see we had to leave. What I saw was fantastic but I was disappointed in the venue.

Beautiful, both the venue and the performance. We went with family and friends to see this wonderful play and it did not disappoint as we are still raving about it. An outstanding play. A talentedly wonderful cast. A beautiful venue. It was the perfect evening. Bravo!!

After I saw the play with my sister years ago I wanted to take my friend. Now she wants to take her sister.

The play it self was incredible. When you first walk in the theater the sights are the coolest. The bathrooms were a lot smaller than what I would have liked. I'm a 6 foot average male and I thought the leg room in the seats was a little tight, but the show itself made the whole thing worth it. The show was awesome and I'm very glad I went to see it.

I bought the tickets as my mom's christmas gift and it was definitely the best gift I have ever given her! We both loved the play so much! I'd see it again every time it comes back to Chicago.

I've wanted to see this musical since it first came to Chicago several years ago but didn't get the chance. I was so glad to hear it was back in Chicago for a short time.

Wicked was just as amazing as the first four times we saw it (second time for my daughter and I at the Oriental). I took my children to Chicago this past week as part of their Christmas ...seeing Wicked was a major memory-making event. Our 3 year old granddaughter, Emma, is still singing "Defying Gravity" and "Popular"...thanks for the memories!

What an amazing show. From the actors to those in charge of the props, amazed me with their talent. The person or the people in charge of the costumes.... WOW! Overall, the show left me speechless and I recommend it to all my friends. My comment will probably go unnoticed, but this is how I felt of the show.

This was the 9Th time seeing Wicked and my best time ever! The cast was fabulous! The orchestra amazing! The bottom line Is the message. It is about friendship, loyalty, strength. It is about The courage to be different. The courage to be you. It is about Acceptance but most of all it is about Love. And that is why Wicked Is the success that it is. Because of Wicked I have been changed For Good!

I had heard great reviews about Wicked and had also heard it was especially great in Chicago. Everything I heard was absolutely true. An amazing performance and I would go see it again!

This is the best show Ive been to. The story, the costumes, the cast, EVERYTHING was more then amazing. Made my heart sing and smile still to this day. I will see it again! TY to everyone in Wicked for an unforgettable and amazing show.

The tickets were birthday presents for my Sister and Best Friend. We all LOVED it. The singing was unbelievable. I would see it again. I'm waiting till it is in LV and I will see it there too.

This show was awesome! !!!! Story was amazing, actors were so talented, props were beautiful, and music and dancing were wonderful to. I didn't want the magic to end. Could watch this over and over. I just loved it!!!!!!!!!

Great show! We sat left orchestra about third or fourth row. We couldn t see some of the stage but over all it was a great spot! Would definitely see it again!! My daughter actually said she liked it better than Phantom of the Opera and that s her favorite!

This is the third time i saw this. I saw it twice about ten years ago. It gets better and better each time!

Great set, wonderful costuming, amazing voices. Small glitch with Galinda's bubble, but didn't affect the show at all. Highly recommend.

The venue was beautiful and the actors and storyline were amazing. Took my best friend to see it, of course. The Galinda character was a title over- acted but her voice as well as all others were superb. I was pleased to see that our showing was option captioned for the hearing impaired as well!

I have seen Wicked too many times to count. It s like revisiting an old friend whenever it comes to town. This time was superb. The Elfaba was SO great.

Great afternoon with my daughter! It was our third time!

The singing in the performance we were at on Saturday afternoon was phenomenal! 2 of the cast were understudies, but their performances were first class . The music was great , the scenes were well designed and the cast was engaging.

Cast and crew put on a wonderful show! The venue was beautiful and updated. The orchestra were right on point. One of the best performances I've seen.

Singing was fabulous. Disappointed in the story, however. I know it was a prequel to the Wizard of Oz, but it didn't make sense. Wasn't true to form. No munchkins. It was a little silly. The best effects were the flying monkeys.

My wife has been wanting to go see Wicked for awhile. Today (1/12) was her 50th birthday so I thought this would be one of the best birthday gifts for her. She enjoyed the play and will forever look at the Wizard of Oz in a totally different way from now on!!!

Good show. What a voice on the lead! Very nice concessions and security folks. Well staffed. Minimal lines. Easy in and easy out. Nice to have valet in front if you don't want to worry about park and walk.

Very much enjoyed the production, but voices were difficult to hear in mid-right orchestra seating.

This is the second time I have seen Wicked. Our seats were wonderful. We feel like the voices of performers were very muffled and orchestra drowned them out. Overall though, a very enjoyable performance.

My son said that he liked it more than Hamilton, which we were lucky enough to see last year. Granted, he s 10. But still. Good messages, gorgeous music, great theatrics. Beautifully acted.

Definitely not worth it. Technical difficulty witH bubble delayed show and changed it. Should have started over from beginning. Weak cast except for Elphaba. Even for a road show, disappointing.
