I love Aziz, and have been a big fan of him ever since I saw him on Parks and Rec. When I saw that he was coming to Detroit, I was super stoked and I knew I had to get tickets! The show was hilarious, and definitely didn't disappoint. If you ever get the chance to see him I highly recommend going! It's worth it.

Length of show was too brief which was a concern considering the ticket prices. Maybe another opening act would have helped. A lot of new material was great. Overall, a good show but probably would have been better off with cheaper tickets up in the balcony. Venue is terrific.

Going into the show as a fan of Aziz I was nervous it would be filled with recycled jokes from previous Comedy Central specials I had seen. Although the comedy was very much similar, Aziz nailed it in every way shape or form. I think it is particularly his delivery that sets him apart. Not to be overlooked was the opening act, Hanibal Buress. He was great!

Beacon Theatre is beautiful. Absolutely incredible to see. And I think Aziz did a great job. His sophomore effort was a little bit more experimental. And I liked it. If You like Aziz you will like this, but he certainly takes more chances this time around.

We walked out halfway through the show; this guy wasn't the least bit funny. Sadly, we met a few people on the way out who felt the same way. Aziz - learn how to write a joke.

I am probably the one to blame...I had ordered his dvd about 10 months ago for my wife who really enjoys him and was disappointed with him then. I had just hoped that his stand up dvd was from his time ascending up the popularity charts and that with his new found success, he would have graduated to a more sophisticated performance, or at least a new wardrobe. He came out on stage wearing the same jacket and performed more or less the same routine. My wife was not impressed and I was disappointed. The only saving grace was the comedian that warmed up the audience, Hannibal Burris. The guy was fantastic.

The Aziz Ansari show was non-stop hilarious. Aziz has all new material and didn't repeat any old material from his Special on Comedy Central. He engaged the crowd and really keeps the energy going. I was recommend checking him out if you get a chance too. His opening act Dan Levy was pretty funny too. All around good show.

I am a huge fan of Aziz Ansari and was really excited to see him live. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when after only what seemed like five jokes he said thank you San Jose and was done! I expected so much more than just seeing him for an hour, especially considering we paid $20 for parking, not really worth it.

Aziz Ansari is a master of including the audience in his witty observations of young adults in America. His spontaneity and ability to make viewers a part of his show have you leaving the theater analyzing the illogical aspects of our culture, but feeling good at the same time.

What I enjoy about Aziz Ansari's standup is that many of his jokes addresses social issues and often have a message/moral lesson. So you get two in one, a good laugh and something to think about. I also like his animated style. He will flair his arms and act out some of his jokes, and I find that this performance aspect adds another dimension to his storytelling. But I think the one thing that makes Aziz Ansari such a great comedian is that he relates and interacts with people. He exudes a combination of genuineness and self-confidence that is really infectious. And he draws his audiences like nectar draws bees.

The seats we sat in 216 row 3, were very close to stage (very high), but the speakers were hanging from the ceiling directly in front of us, and sound projected forward. No sound projecting to the side, where we were. Friends in the middle section were not happy with the sound either. NONETHELESS, Aziz was a great performer, and the set he put out was ridiculously funny. He even too a moment in the begning of his presentation to allow us to take picture. This show could have been great. I paid the extra $ to secure two seats on the floor section, which is long and narrow at the San Jose SAP Center and I should have got the seats higher up and cheaper. The whole show I had to pretty much watch on the big screen they had because it was impossible to actually see the performers! If i wanted to watch Aziz on a tv screen i would have stayed home and Netflixed it. He was great though :)

Aziz is just as hilarious on stage as on Comedy Central (which is what brought us to purchase tix to one of his shows. He did one bit about taking a guy cell phone (from the audience) and how long it took to get the tet messages. Pretty funny. Aziz seemed off that night. It was about 55 min into his show, and he finished telling a joke, and then was like "Well, good night San Jose". All of us were like....that's it? It was really weird. Then like 15 seconds later as we're all starting to stand up to leave, he jumps back on stage and thanks us for the show and then tells a few more jokes and leaves. He was funny, don't get me wrong. I just felt he was doing the grind - getting his 60 min in and leaving. No respect for that.

LOVE Aziz on Parks & Rec & LOVE him in his past movies, but his stand up is a bit lacking. Spent too much time on one topic, and he just seemed to lose focus easily. There were parts that were hilarious but not enough for $80+per/person. I know he can step up his game & quit relying on his stardom to convince people that he's funny. Because he is funny, just needs to work on his material more & try to focus.

Aziz talked a lot about relationships and how rediculous they are. Talked to a few people in the audience about proposals and penis pictures. Being from the area I am familiar with Paw Paw, MI. The opening act was a female that I did not recognize, Chelsea something or other, was funny and held her own. However, since the show started 30 mins after its posted start time, my wife and I were just eager to see the main act. The overall act was good! Aziz is very entertaining with a lot of character, he is still new and unknown to may but he is getting recognized fast and I could see him becoming one of the greats. He doesn't do simple material like Kevin Hart and he isn't lame like Dane Cook. I feel he almost has a uniqueness to him as Chris Rock does. He is seems very natural on stage and his personality does not seem forced at all. He talked about topics all adults could relate to. I would say his act is a soft "Rated R" or hard "PG-13". The venue is a historical theater and looks amazing. However, the methods of getting food/drink is still in the past as well... The bars and food counters only accept cash, so after waiting in line to pull out cash, be ready to wait in another long line to purchase food/drink. I would recommend parking at one of the general lots within walking distance to the theater as trying to park at the Orpheum was too challenging. Also, grab taco's from "Taco's Mexico II" near by or eat elsewhere before going into the theater as the food inside the venue is overpriced and unsatisfying. Beer and wine were $7, mixed drinks at $9.

Aziz brought the jokes to Raleigh and sold out the house. I hope that means he'll include this city in his future tours, because it was a hilarious show. Meymandi Hall is smaller than auditoriums I've seen other A-list comedians at, but it suited the crowd well. Aziz isn't as animated as some stand-up artists, so being able to see his facial expressions is a huge plus. Chelsea Peretti opened, which was an awesome surprise as I'd never seen her stand-up before and it was a pretty damn funny set. The Progress Energy Center had no shortage of beer stands, including some local options from Carolina Brewing Company. Would have been great to have a bigger selection, but overall I was happy with the offering and the prices weren't too outlandish for a stand-up event ($5 domestic, $6 specialty/import).

Saw Aziz over the weekend at SAP center. He's hilarious, particularly for the 20-something crowd. The opener was dull and not very funny, but the main act was what I came to see and he didn't disappoint. A few political jabs here and there, but he mostly focused on single life and how our generation is the worst (It says a lot about a performer when he can get a crowd to laugh at themselves). Aziz Ansari was very funny as always, recommend seeing him live. The venue is huge (SAP Center at San Jose), if you want to see what's going on, you definitely need a closer seat to the stage. The opener for Aziz was same as opener for John Mulaney, who had a show in the bay area a week prior, and he did the exact same set. So my wife and I arrived about half hour early to the show. We found the bathroom and the girls room had a wicked line. I was in and out, but had to wait for my wife to get through the line. It took about 15 minutes. We then went to go to our seats, but there was a line there too. This took another 10-15 minutes. The show didn't start on time because 55% of the seats were not filled due to the massive lines to get into the theater. The opener, Joe Mande, did an excellent job. Very funny dude. Especially since there were still loads of people walking into the theater throughout his set. People didn't stop coming in until half way through Aziz's set. Aziz killed it. Obviously, he is an amazing stand up and I love all his material. It was great seeing him go on stage and just murder. I would total suggest going to see Aziz stand up. I can't wait to see him again. I just hope its not at the Masonic Temple. That place is dog shit.

I thought the venue (Masonic temple) did a poor job of getting people into their seats. Even as Aziz was getting on stage people were still trying to get to their seats, which was a bit distracting. Besides that, this was my first major comedic show that I've ever been to, and I thought Aziz was so fetch ( for you non mean girls fans that means he was great) . Each individual ticketholder/couple had to be personally escorted to their seats which made it take forever to sit down. They were still ushering people the whole time through the opener (which we missed for this reason), and during Aziz's set. It was super distracting and frustrating, and even though this was the case, several people around us had to be booted from the seats they were ushered to because they were sat in the wrong seats and had to be ushered again to the correct ones. Sections are not clearly labled so it would have been a nightmare for us all to try and figure out where to go on our own. This venue is awful... never again.

Love Aziz's style and interaction with the audience was amazing! He even did some 8mile jokes because he was in Detroit!

Awesome experience. I bought tickets for me and my boyfriend as his Christmas gift, since he loved Aziz on Parks and Recreation. My only complaint was that Aziz did not come out and do an encore. Venue was nice, even if drinks were a little expensive!

Aziz was hilarious I would definitely see him again and recommends him to a friend. Only bummer was the opening act. Just talked about getting high the whole time, pretty sure he was under the influence during his little performance. I just took the opportunity to go to the bathroom so it worked out.

The best standup I've been to. Aziz is two levels above any other stand up comics right now.

Aziz was amazing, hilarious as always. His 2 openers were great as well, and MSG gave us a great experience!

Was so stoked Hannibal was there because I'm a huge fan. Aziz was hilarious and i felt that he used the stage with purpose...he had a point to his jokes and it was to help make the world a better place but to have you laugh through it as well

I saw Aziz Ansari Live and the concert did not start on time. It was scheduled for 10:30pm and did not start until 11:15pm. I've seen Aziz Ansari on TV and he has be funnier than he was on this particular night. I ended up leaving before the end of the concert. Kinda of disappointed :-(

The show started with an awesome Michael Jackson impersonator. He had the look, the dance moves, and the vocals. It was amazing watching him dance his ass off and still hit all those crazy high notes. Next was a very funny comedian that I had never heard of, but thoroughly enjoyed. Lots of funny bits. Finally was Aziz. He was as amazing in person as I had hoped he would be. So glad I went to this show.

Some of the jokes were long-winded, but on the whole, incredible. And definitely better than on TV.

Maybe thinking he can sell out MSG for 2 shows in one evening was a bit of a reach cause we had to wait for about 45 minutes for the venue to fill and even then it was half empty. His new material was mediocre at best, the MJ impersonator was good but was kind of random. Not what I expected at all.

Opening act was a bit weird, it was a Michael Jackson impersonator. I liked hearing the Michael Jackson music, but the performance itself was unnecessary. The warm up comedian was hilarious!! Aziz was really good. I like how he attempted to involve the crowd through text messages and questions, but of course the people that responded gave ridiculous answers/scenarios. I would definitely recommend seeing Aziz if you've never seen him live.
