Po' Girl

I saw Po' Girl at the Kate Wolf Festival in california last year. They were fantastic. They were great at the Ark in Ann Arbor with Peter Mulvey. Since I first heard them with J.T. Nero I missed that aspect. A real fun show.

Initially I was disappointed to see Po' Girl sharing the billing with Peter Mulvey, the act I came to see. Then, he introduced the members of Po' Girl one at a time, and, as they joined in sining with him I was absolutely flabbergasted. Allison has the voice and soul of an angel, and her compatriots in the band were equally talented. What a beautiful, wonderful surprise.
